Royal Encounter
Normal POV
Its been seven years since Anna was separated from her sister and she is now twelve years old. Right now, it was night time in the Kingdom of Arendelle and Anna had snuck outside into the courtyard to entertain herself because she was bored right now. While she was outside exploring, Anna heard a loud shriek like sound before she turned around and saw something in the night sky but couldn't see it well. Before she could figure out what it was, Anna saw that the unknown thing was heading towards the courtyard fast and when it got closer, she heard a voice shout out "OH NO!" before it crashed into the courtyard. After the unknown thing crashed landed, Anna went to investigate to see what it was and when she got close, it revealed to be some kind of four legged black scaly creature with huge bat like wings, black spines, green eyes, a right tailfin, and a saddle. But what she saw more shocking was that the creature was standing over and looking down concerned at an unconscious fifteen year old boy who was thin with auburn hair, a green tunic, green pants, brown boots, and some kind of harness.
As she was moving closer towards the two, the creature noticed her and growled in defense. Anna quickly backed off as she saw the creature showed aggression towards her. After she backed off, Anna noticed that the creature was now standing in front of the boy like it was protecting him. "Please, I mean you no harm. I just want to help your... friend." Anna said to the creature who seemed to calm down a bit but was still watching her. When Anna walked over to the boy, she tried to wake him up by shaking him but that seemed to not work. She then thought of an idea and ran off somewhere as the creature watched her confused. Anna came back with a bucket of water and poured the water on the boy's face which made him wake up instantly.
"AH!" The boy yelled as he sat straight up started looking around. "Uh hello?" The boy asked as he wasn't sure how he was woken up with water dumped on his face.
"Hi!" Anna said to the boy who was startled by her. When he was looking at her, he noticed that she must be twelve years old.
"Wh-who are you?" The boy asked.
"I'm Anna, what's your name?" Anna asked the boy.
"Uh Hic-Hiccup." The boy said to Anna who seemed confused.
"Hiccup? Did you say your name is Hiccup or did you just hiccuped?" She asked to him.
"No, my name is Hiccup." Hiccup said to her before she started laughing about it. "Yeah, yeah, go ahead. Laugh all you want." He said as he rolled his eyes.
"I'm sorry. Its just that I never heard of someone named Hiccup before." Anna apoligized.
"Its ok, I'm used to it." Hiccup said before he was tackled by the unknown creature. Anna got scared when she saw the creature tackled Hiccup to the ground but her fear quickly disappeared when she saw that instead of pleading and suffering, she saw Hiccup laughing as the creature was licking his face. "Toothless! I glad you're ok too bud." Hiccup said to the creature which was named Toothless.
"What is that thing?" Anna asked as she was backing away a little bit.
"It's ok. He won't hurt you, I promised." Hiccup said as he was getting up.
"He?" Anna questioned.
"This is Toothless and he's a... dragon." He said to Anna who went wide eyed after she heard him say dragon.
"A dragon? An actual dragon? They actually exist?" Anna asked a little bit louder.
"Like I said, he won't hurt you. He was just protecting me." Hiccup stated.
"You actually have a pet dragon?" Anna asked him.
"He's not a pet. He's my friend." Hiccup said while making sure Toothless's feelings weren't hurt.
"I'm sorry. I meant to say, you have a dragon friend?" Anna asked him.
"It's ok and yes." Hiccup replied.
"How did you find him?" She asked.
"Its a long story." Hiccup stated before he wanted to know where they were at. "Hey uh, Anna, where are we?" He asked the red headed girl.
"You're in Arendelle. She replied.
"Arendelle? I never heard of it before." He said to her.
"What do you mean? You never seen a kingdom before?" Anna asked the boy.
"No, actually. I'm from an Island far up north." Hiccup stated.
"Then why are you here?" Annn asked. Before he could answer, several people along with a man with strawberry blonde hair, a mustache, and green eyes and a woman with brown hair and blue eyes, dressed in strange clothing that Hiccup has never seen before, came out of nowhere and headed where Hiccup and Anna were at.
"ANNA! Oh thank god, you're alright. You had me and your father worried. What are doing outside late?" The woman asked as she pulled the girl in a hug.
"I was just talking to my new friend, Hiccup and his dragon Toothless, mama." Anna stated to the woman who happens to Anna's mother. After everyone heard what the princess said, they faced the direction Hiccup was in.
"Dra-dragon, DRAGON!" One of the guards yelled out as the other guards pointed their spears at the boy and the dragon who became agressive and his pupils turned to slits when he saw the pointy sticks pointed not only at him but at Hiccup as well.
"No! Please... don't hurt him!" Hiccup pleaded as he got in front of Toothless. "Please... he won't hurt anyone. I promise." Hiccup said to them.
"You're... just a boy." The mother stated before Hiccup nodded at her. "How... old are you?" She asked him.
"I'm... 15." Hiccup said while looking down.
"And you're alone with this... dragon?" The man beside Anna's mother said before saw the saddle on Toothless. "With a saddle?" The man questioned.
"Yes. Toothless... is my best friend and he has a saddle because... I ride him. He can't fly on his own." Hiccup said slowly.
"Your majesty, this boy is riding a dragon, a real dragon. He should be arrested!" Stated one of the guards. Hiccup in fear moved against Toothless who protectively curled his tail around Hiccup and growled a bit. The mother looked with softer eyes now.
"Papa, don't arrest him. He's not mean." Anna pleaded the man who happens to be her father.
"Princess Anna, the boy is trespassing." The guard sighed.
"We didn't mean to, we were just passing by but Toothless's tail got struck by lightning and it caused us to crash land here." Hiccup explained. After the father heard what Hiccup just said, he could tell that the boy wasn't lying at all.
"Stand down." The man said to the guards.
"Your majesty?" One of the guards questioned.
"I said stand down." The man stated firmly this time. After that, all of guards lowered their weapons which calmed Toothless down a bit but he was still keeping his eyes on him. "Before any action is taken, I would like to understand more." He said before he placed his eye sight on Hiccup again. "Young man, will you come inside with us to talk? If you cooperate, no harm will come to you or your... friend." The man stated.
"Can... Toothless come inside too? H-he doesn't like to be left alone." Hiccup asked softly.
"I'm afraid, he can't. But he will be safe in the stables and you'll be able to see him the entire time from my office." The man said in a calmer voice. Hiccup looked at Toothless for a second and turned back to the man.
"If he's going to the... stables, then let me lead him there because he won't trust anyone he just met." Hiccup pleaded the man. The man saw that the dragon was watching the guards and could tell that the dragon was not showing any trust towards them.
"Alright then." The man said to Hiccup who turned to a crooning of worry to his friend and rubbed his head with a smile.
"It's okay bud. I'm gonna lead you to the stables where you can rest, okay?" Hiccup said to Toothless who warbled in response. Hiccup started to lead the dragon to the stables now and when they got there, he saw that in the stables were lots of hay and a couple of four legged creatures called horses. He led him inside and when the dragon layed down on the hay, he looked at his rider with worry again. "I'll be alright bud. I promise I'll come back as soon as I can. Be good, okay?" Hiccup told him before he turned around and faced Anna's mother and father with a nod. I-I will... go with you. As long as you promise that no one will hurt Toothless..." Hiccup told the man shakily.
"I give you my word as king that he will not be harmed if you cooperate with us." The man who is revealed as king now said. Hiccup sighed heavily. 'A great start for my new start.' He thought sarcastically.
"Okay..." Hiccup replied to him. "Can Toothless get something to eat? W-we haven't eaten since noon." Hiccup asked.
"Well, what does he eat?" The king asked nervously.
"He eats fish but don't give him any eels. He doesn't like eels." Hiccup said to him.
"Of course. I'll have some brought to him." The king nodded.
"Now lets get inside, all of us now. The storm is getting quite bad, and you my dear need to get to bed." The woman who Hiccup was assuming was the queen said to Anna.
Hiccup's POV
Moments later, all of us were walking inside. I saw Anna being led by her mother to a different room seconds ago and I was walking behind the king with two guards behind me. Later, I saw the queen walking back towards her husband and we made it to two doors with markings on it along with two guards standing on each side. When the guards saw the king and queen, they quickly bowed and opened the doors for them both but when they saw me, they were eyeing me which started to make me nervous. When we got inside the room, I saw that the room was pretty big with with a big window, doors to a balcony, lots of books, and a large desk with a couple of chairs in front and two chairs behind it near the window. After we got inside, the guards led me to a chair in front of the desk and watched as the king and queen sat in their chairs behind the desk. After we sat down, the king turned to the guards that were still behind me. "Leave us." The king said to them. When I watched the guards left, I saw the doors closed by the other two. After that, I turned back to the king and queen who were looking at me.
"Y-you said that I could... see my dragon from here." I said quietly.
"Yes I did say that. Come." The king said. As I got up slowly, I watch as he opened the balcony doors and gestured with his hand. When I made my way to the balcony, I looked down and saw Toothless who spotted me on the balcony. I sighed and smiled knowing that he was okay. "Now that I've let you see him... I'd like you to tell us. Who are you, where did you come from, why are you here, and why do you ride a dragon?" The king asked firmly. 'This is going to be a long night.' I thought.
