"This is the best I can do. We need to get Mina out of here and to an actual facility. The drugs I gave her will keep her out cold for a while and her heart rate low." Momo said, collapsing onto the floor, hands covered with acid burns and blood and shaking all over.

Mina's blood was usually in constant acidity unless she manually lowered it, a habit born from the war. It had taken her a bit to reduce it enough to where Momo could work but she hadn't managed it completely before passing out. She'd had to restart halfway through because the stitches had dissolved from the blood so she'd had to make an acid-resistant thread on the fly. Working had been slow and painful, but she was confident Mina would live for the next few hours at least. Enough time to get her to someone better-suited to healing.

"Will... will she be okay?" Kirishima asked, deathly pale.

"She'll live, that's the best I can say but it's not perfect. I'm not an actual surgeon, I just know field surgery." Momo said.

"I'll get to work on the rubble. Kirishima, with me," Todoroki said, gesturing to Kirishima who walked after him in a daze.

"The attacker was invisible.. it was an agent of Zeus who was given a copy of Toru's quirk, right?" Tokoyami asked, but Momo could feel the desperation behind it.

Momo didn't say anything, like Tokoyami she didn't want to believe it. She wiped the sweat off of her face. She suddenly paused though and her eyes widened and she turned to Tokoyami.

"Shinso..." she said suddenly, jumping to her feet and grabbing her rifle with a wince.

"Stay here with Mina, I'll go," Tokoyami said, and he swept out of the room.

As he practically flew out of the room, and back down the hallway. He heard Todoroki call out to him but he ignored it. Counting on Momo to explain things. He ran down the hallways to where he had left Shinso and Toru.

He slowed as he came to the area he think he had left them, it was hard to tell in the gloom but he eventually came across a shape. Slumped along the wall, and a huge pool of blood around him was Shinso. He skidded to a halt in front of him and got down on one knee. He stopped short of checking his pulse when she saw the gash across his throat. He just kneeled there as the weight of it all crashed down onto him. He put a hand out to the wall to steady himself as he suddenly felt weak and lightheaded.

"I... left him alone... I... It's my fault..." Tokoyami said and he fell to his knees.

"It's not your fault." Dark Shadows' voice suddenly said, moving up to face him.

"But-"

"No buts, none of us could have known that Toru was a traitor. While it was what she wanted, you still made the right choice to go on ahead and help everyone else. It's not your fault." Dark Shadow said firmly.

Silence fell over them until his voice broke the stillness.

"Traitor... Toru... was a traitor..." he said, not really able to believe it.

"No... no... her body... she must be dead too...!" Tokoyami said desperately.

He made no move to search for an invisible body, however.

"We can't do anything more for him. We'll collect him when this is all over and Zeus is dead." Dark Shadow said.

The shock seemed to fade as hate and anger replaced it.

"Zeus will pay for this," Tokoyami said, standing up.

As he got back to the main group he saw that Todoroki and Kirishima had made progress in clearing the rubble, a small tunnel, too small for any of them, had been made and was slowly being widened while Todoroki made periodic ice supports. Momo was present in the doorway leading to where Mina was, tending to her acid-burned hands as best she could.

"What's wrong?" Todoroki asked, pausing in his work as did Kirishima. Momo also looked over at him.

"Shinso is dead," Tokoyami said hollowly.

Todoroki closed his eyes and bowed his head, while Kirishima turned back to his work head resting against a wall while he clenched his hands. Todoroki recovered first, raising his head he took several deep breaths before opening his eyes. Momo sagged against the doorframe and did much the same as Todoroki.

"FUCK!" Kirishima suddenly yelled and punched the wall, denting it. He took deep breaths as he shook all over. He punched the wall twice more before he turned back to the tunnel and started working with renewed vigor.

They had mostly worked through the rubble when they heard a distant rumbling. They paused and listened as the rumble continued before petering out. They all looked at each other, all thinking the exact same thing.

"You don't think..." Kirishima said before trailing off.

"No, Bakugo isn't an idiot. Unless Group B met up with him he wouldn't try it." Todoroki said confidently. Despite that confidence, the others could sense the hint of doubt.

"We'd better hurry," Momo said, returning to the task of moving the rubble as did the others.

A few minutes later they worked through the rubble and started scrambling down the corridor after sealing the door that lead to Mina. Kirishima took point as he ran ahead of them and as he rounded a corner he went several steps before he was engulfed in an explosion. The others came to a stop at the corner as Kirishima came back round coughing and waving the smoke away.

"I think..." he said before coughing again.

"I think that was an RPG," he said, picking a bit of shrapnel out of his hair.

"Think you'll be all right?" Momo asked, checking her ammo count once more.

"Yeah, yeah I think so," he said and quickly stretched before hardening to his maximum.

The others prepared themselves, forming up behind Kirishima and on a three count, Kirishima ran around the corner once more. Again he was engulfed by an explosion, but he kept running, ignoring it. Tokoyami flew along the ceiling, Dark Shadow growing ever larger and reaching ever farther. Todoroki sent spears of ice down the corridor along Kirishima's left, while Momo sent rounds from his right.

Eventually, Kirishima crashed into the defenders and with one swipe of a clawed hand tore an entire chunk out of a mercenary who crumpled. Then Dark Shadow and Tokoyami swept over and past Kirishima, pouncing on two mercenaries and tearing them to pieces. Todoroki's ice spears impaled one mercenary in the far back, while Momo dropped another two with well-placed shots.

The group looked around and saw that this had been it. The mercenaries had been holed up behind ramshackle barricades that hadn't done much. Then an ear-splitting crack of thunder traveled down the corridor from up ahead followed by a huge rumbling from the mountain itself. The group looked around the corridor, worried it might collapse but then the rumbling settled. They looked at each once more before running down the corridor once more.

As they got to the end of the corridor they looked down the branching hallways and saw two large double doors to their left, with an energy barrier shimmering along their front. Kirishima made a headlong charge straight into the barrier but was repulsed. They all tried to penetrate the barrier but to no avail.

When the futility of their efforts finally sank in they all just stared at the barrier. Anger roiled inside them when their comms suddenly clicked to life.

"This... this is Angel Six... Zeus has been eliminated but the battle has destabilized the mountain. I'm holding it together, but it won't last. To anyone who can hear this... evacuate the mountain. I can guarantee you a few minutes, but I don't know how long I'll last. I repeat, evacuate the mountain as fast as possible." came Ochako's tired voice.

"Ochako?!" Kirishima blurted into the comm.

There was a pause before Ochako replied, "Kirishima... you and the others need to leave." she said.

"What, but... how..." he asked.

"I flew here from Mufustafu, but please, just go!" Ochako's voice begged over the comm.

"Understood," Todoroki replied, before walking up and putting a hand on Kirishima's shoulder.

Then the group turned around and started jogging back the way they had come.

As they got back to the tunnel they'd made through the rubble, Kirishima ducked into the office Mina was laying in and picked her up before rejoining them. Tokoyami and Dark Shadow grabbed Shinso's body. After significant backtracking and setting their comms to play Ochako's orders on repeat to anyone who might pick up their signal, they finally got to the large elevator that led down to ground level. They paused as they entered the large room and saw the carnage. While there were no bodies, the blood, scorch marks, and giant spears of bone protruding out of walls and floor were enough evidence.

When the whole mountain started shaking, they quickly resumed their evac. The elevator was functional, and after riding it down they saw similar groups also evacuated from the lower levels already outside.

They took one step off the elevator when the shaking suddenly got much and a piece of rubble fell from the ceiling, almost crushing Momo. She yelped in shock and the group sprinted to the massive entrance, Dark Shadow batting aside any pieces of the ceiling before they could get too close.

By the time they'd gotten well clear of the mountain entrance, they were doubled over, breathing hard.

"You all, alright?" came a voice from their right.

They looked and saw Crust limping toward them, one arm covered in bandages, a burn above his right ear, and a clear leg injury.

"We're fine, but we need to get Mina help!" Kirishima gasped, taking a step toward him.

Crust limped over as fast as he could and took Mina from him as the two of them headed to the medical pavilions.

"I should go as well," Tokoyami said, as he followed after them, Shinso's body being carried by Dark Shadow.

Which left Todoroki and Momo alone.

"Do think Ochako and Bakugo are okay?" Momo asked, turning and gazing up the mountain.

Todoroki walked to her side and gazed up at the mountain with her.

"I don't know, but I hope so," he said quietly.

Ochako sat on the floor, recovering what strength she could. She kept the mountain together by a thread and rather than let it all go at once, she started to unravel her quirk piece by piece. She heard hallways outside the room collapse and felt it as well. Not everything was collapsing, some parts retained their integrity but enough was compromised that at least half of the mountain base would be cut off by collapses. As she tried to keep it all together, she felt suddenly stifled in her helmet, and using her free hand she managed to rip it off and cast it aside.

Even unraveling her quirk piece by piece was a challenge, she felt beads of sweat starting to form on her brow and she clenched her eyes shut and gritted her teeth as the struggle continued to compound. Then a shift happened below her, and what control she had snapped, and with a gasp, she crumpled to the floor.

At the same time, the room started to shake and bits of rock fell from the ceiling. She lay sprawled on the floor, feeling like she'd sprained every muscle in her body. She groaned and she struggled to move anything. OFA was completely spent and she could no longer feel its power, and with its complete absence, she actually started to feel the weight of the suit. It wasn't much heavier than before, but without OFA it became noticeable in her exhausted state. Then she felt someone grab her and then the sensation of being slung over someone's shoulder. She blinked the sweat out of her eyes and was able to see that it was Bakugo who'd grabbed her and was now keeping her on his shoulder.

"We aren't dying here! We're getting the hell out of here!" he shouted and then he started walking toward the hole.

"Wait... Zeus is still alive, we need to get him too," she said.

Bakugo's response was to start swearing and giving her an earful for not finishing the job. A large chunk of rock crashed down in front of the hole as they approached it. When they got to the hole and Bakugo shoulder tossed her into the hole as he started to haul himself up. As he reached down to grab her, she got to her knees.

"Get, Zeus... He's worth more to us alive than dead," she said.

"If we die because of him, I'll kill you in the afterlife!" he barked at her, but he did drop back down and grab Zeus who was near the hole.

While Bakugo hauled Zeus's unconscious form, she managed to get to her feet, using the rough side of the wall to support her. While the room behind them collapsed, the tunnel stayed relatively intact. When they were halfway through there was a titanic shudder throughout the entire mountain and they collapsed, unable to keep their footing. When the rumbling and noise from behind ceased, they were left in sudden and eerie silence.

They continued their climb through the tunnel, eventually emerging into the still night air. Below them the mountain slopped sharply downward, making the way down treacherous. Rather than immediately start heading down, Bakugo set Zeus down on the ground and took a seat, his legs hanging over the lip. Ochako joined him, and they took a few moments to catch their breath.

She looked over at Bakugo and looked him up and down. His hair was matted with dirt, dust, blood, and scorched ends. His armor was missing in various locations, usually revealing mild to severe burns all over his body. His hands were torn up, both from overuse of his quirk and various other injuries. The fact he was still moving meant he likely didn't realize how bad his injuries were and that he couldn't feel them. He was also showing signs of developing a black eye.

She looked down at herself and saw she wasn't much better. The QUEESS had clear evidence of sustained extreme damage and would need extensive repairs. As OFA weakened, so had its ability to withstand punishment. With OFA and AFO finally gone, she doubted the QUEESS would ever function again anyways. She felt sad at that thought, she'd never be able to see All Might again. She would have liked to say goodbye or thank him. Yet, just like when he had been alive, there had just never been the time. She took a deep breath of the night air, and then she slowly got to her feet. Best to keep moving before her muscles cooled off and she became stiff.

Bakugo did the same, and as he reached for Zeus, she reached over and tapped Zeus with her hand erasing his gravity. It made her nauseous for a moment and she took deep breaths to prevent herself from vomiting there and then. Bakugo glanced at her but reached down and with one hand grabbed hold of one of his arms. Keeping a loose grip on the floating villain they started to make their slow and steady trip down the mountain.

It was rough going, the steep slope and roots and rocks obscured everywhere. At some point, they heard a groan from Zeus and the pair stopped to look at him. He mumbled something indistinct and his eyes fluttered open for a moment before he seemed to fade out again.

"Don't worry about him, even if he wakes back up I can just float him into the stratosphere. Assuming he was even lucid enough to fight us anyways. Which, seeing as how he's missing an arm, I doubt he'll be keen on it." Ochako said before turning and continuing the hike down the mountain.

"Well if he is, I'll just take the other one," Bakugo said, walking after her.

Toru wandered the halls, trying to figure out where the hallway to this floor's mess hall was located. Every floor had a small one, and if she had any hope of surviving until excavation teams started digging through the rubble, she needed to find it. As she walked past one hallway she stopped and looked down it. She wasn't entirely sure, but she thought she could hear something down the hallway.

She chewed the inside of her cheek, wondering if she should investigate or not. Eventually, she opted to check it out, it was likely a surviving mercenary or researcher. Either one would be helpful as they could guide her to the mess hall.

She walked down the hallway, being careful to make as little noise as possible. The further she got in the hallway, however, the worse the smell became. Burned flesh, plastic, wiring, and other similar scents assailed her and she was forced to breathe through her mouth. She saw a door was ajar and the smell coming from it along with the noise. As she examined the door, she realized that it was pushed outward toward her and that they could no longer open or close properly. She squeezed through the gap and saw black scorch marks lining every square inch.

"Todoroki's work no doubt." she thought to herself as she walked deeper down the hallway.

Then her foot met something wet and her bare foot smacked loudly against it. Given that her foot wasn't burning, it was acid so she gave the air a sniff with her nose and recoiled as the smell of blood washed over her. It mixed with the burning smell and she dry-heaved once.

She was starting to have misgiving about all of this and she was about to turn and head back when she saw something move down the hallway. It was then she noticed a very faint light shining somewhere down the hallway. While she couldn't make out details of anything, she saw the black outline of something coming toward her. She took a few steps back and even as the form came closer she squeezed through the door.

She looked back and froze, illuminated by faint light from the damaged emergency light above the door, a horrific creature stood. It must have been two meters tall at least, if not a tad more. It was a shiny red as if wet all over and she heard a dripping noise she hadn't noticed before. So far as she could tell it didn't have skin only possessing patches of fur dotted about at random. She could see several organs obscured by the ribcage, pulsing and moving. Its lidless eyes stared down the hallway and would twitch from location to location until settling on her.

She was invisible so it shouldn't be possible to see her, but nonetheless, it felt like it could. Then the monster's pupils turned to slits and scanned the hallway. She saw it drop something it was holding, hitting the floor with the thump of flesh meeting the floor. Then the monster turned and walked back down the hallway. When it was finally gone and a few minutes had passed, she leaned through the door and looked at what it had dropped. A partially burned leg of some kind of large creature.

Taking that as a sign to never come back to this hallway again, she turned and padded as silently as she could down the hallway, once more resuming her search for rations.
