Hello everyone, how are you? Yes, I know I made a mistake and replaced this story's chapter 6 with my Zexal story, but I fixed that problem and made it a bit better than before, so I hope you all enjoy it. Also hell yeah, three stories updated at the same day, that ought to make up for not updating for a while. Now next chapter for my Pokémon story is a movie chapter, my first chapter of ever doing a movie, so it'll take some time before I can complete it, so please be patient. Now for some reviews answered.
Sakra95: I'm doing a few things from the game, and the requirements to battle Normin are the same in the game.
Aurastar Warrior: You sure about that?
Lucas bowman: Not happening.
Anbludx: Thank you for liking my story. About Ash being unbeatable, that's not true. I'll have him lose or tie a few times, but that won't be for a while. Besides, he doesn't always uses his Legendary Pokémon, he uses his other ones as well. Ash already has his Dragonite from the anime, just go back a few chapters. About the harem, yes, it'll be a harem story. Also there are no main villains', just the villain organizations from each regions and a few more. Finally, Dawn and Verity are actually childhood friends.
Jigmario: I'll consider that idea.
Reaper36: Thank you.
Alright, that's all for now. Enjoy the chapter because there are a few surprises in this chapter, so I hope you enjoy them.
Chapter 18: A different kind of misty.
It has been a week since the Slateport City Pokémon Contest with Verity winning her third ribbon, leaving her with only two left to win in order to have all five ribbons. Even with the Pokémon Contest done, Ash and his friends decided to stay in Slateport for a little bit longer. One day, they all split up with Ash and Max going to the Oceanic Museum, while Brock, Verity, Sorrel and May went shopping because both Brock and Sorrel needed to stock up on supplies.
Ash and Max soon arrived at the museum, only to find out that it was closed. Max, being determined to see the museum, went to scale the walls. However, a boy named Marius stopped him. Immediately, he called Max a thief, thinking that the Petalburg boy was trying to steal the exhibits. Max tried to tell Marius that he wasn't a thief and that he just wanted to see the museum.
Ash soon arrived at the scene, with Marius thinking he was also a thief. Marius called his Pokémon, a Spheal to battle them. The young, inexperienced kid attempted to command his Ice and Water-type to attack, but instead of attacking, Spheal started clapping. Still, Spheal attacked, but Pikachu easily defeated the Spheal with just one attack. Just then, a man named Captain Stern appeared and asked what was going on.
Ash and Max told them that they just wanted to go inside the museum to see what was inside. Captain Stern explained that he had to run a suddenly errand and had to close the museum at that time. Captain Stern revealed that he was the curator of the Oceanic Museum. After the issues were solved, Captain Stern invited Ash, Max and Marius inside the museum. They saw all different kinds of exhibits of Water Pokémon. Marius, lacking Pokémon knowledge, thought that a Goldeen could evolve into a Gyarados, but was wrong, big time.
Next, the curator invited them all into his office, telling the reason why he closed the museum for a while was because he received a sample of a dark rock, which was exposed to high temperatures on the ocean floor. Ash was very interested with the scorched rock, wondering what kind of Pokémon could do that underwater.
Team Annoying (Rocket) attempted to steal both Pikachu and the exhibits at the Museum, but one of Hoenn's criminal organizations, Team Magma stopped them, commanded by their Admin Tabitha. Tabitha and his grunts made short work of Team Loser with their Mightyena. Ash and Captain Stern battled Team Magmas with Ash using Corphish, Pikachu and his new Timburr, while Captain Stern used a Sealeo. Max, Marius and his Spheal escaped to get help from Officer Jenny, leaving the two to battle Team Magma.
At some point after intense battling, the dark stone inside the case broke into two pieces. Tabitha's Mightyena snatched the larger piece, while Pikachu grabbed the smaller one. Team Magma's helicopter arrived, and the goons managed to board on time and left right before Officer Jenny and the police arrived, along with May, Max, Verity, Sorrel, Brock and Marius.
Ash felt guilty that the stone broke along with Team Magma escaping, but Captain Stern told the Rainbow Hero that a small fragment is enough to study its contents and continue his research. Ash and friends said goodbye to Slateport City and went on to their next destination, Mauville City.
Ash, his girlfriend Verity, his sworn brother Sorrel, May, Max, and Brock continued to travel to Mauvile City with the Rainbow Hero taking plenty of chances to train with either Sorrel or Verity, training his Pokémon as much as he can. Along the way, they stopped at a Pokémon Center on the mountains for some rest. But they soon noticed that the Pokémon Center was absent. There was no Nurse Joy in the building.
Our heroes went into Nurse Joy's office, where Pikachu sniffed a sudden scent and suddenly fell asleep. Ash used a Chesto Berry to wake up his best friend, before our heroes decided to check the surveillance cameras. They saw that a Pokémon called Shiftry entered the building, coming in through the window and kidnapped Nurse Joy. Brock, of course, was furious that Nurse Joy was kidnapped, while Sorrel and Ash were wondering why Shiftry kidnapped her.
They decided to go after Shiftry and save Nurse Joy. However, along the way, they came across and faced a horde of Oddish, Seedot, and Nuzleaf. They battled through with Ash using Tailow, Heracross and Rapidash, May using Torchic, Brock used his Chatot, Mismagius for Verity and Sorrel with Accelgor. Later, they discovered that the reason Shiftry captured Nurse Joy was for her to treat a Nuzleaf that had a high fever.
Ash and Grovyle faced off against the Shiftry with the two Grass-types enjoying the battle against each other, but the battle had no victor. Team Rocket showed up and tried to capture the Grass and Dark-type Pokémon, but it blasted them away with a powerful Gust attack. Nurse Joy appeared and told the Shiftry that there's no reason to battle anymore and that she'll cure the Nuzleaf. However, she required some of the medicines back at the Pokémon Center.
Brock offered to go back with Shiftry to get the medicine, which the Dark and Grass-type agreed and took the Pokémon Breeder back to the Pokémon Center, getting all the medicines they needed and rushed back. After a day of treatment, the Nuzleaf woke up all better with the fever all gone. Seeing its friend safe, the Shiftry took Nurse Joy back to the Pokémon Center.
Our heroes said goodbye to Nurse Joy, the Oddish, Seedot and the Nuzleaf and continued on their way again to Mauville City. During this past week, May captured a brand new Pokémon, one that wasn't from the Hoenn Region. It was a Water-type called Shellos. Shellos was a special Pokémon, having two different looks. May captured a West Shellos, the pink and white ones through luck and some help from Verity.
Currently, the six heroes were lost. They were in the middle of the forest, but there was a huge fog surrounding them, making it difficult for them to continue. Verity and Sorrel had let Piplup and Lucario out of their Poké Balls, letting them get some exercise. "I can hardly see the path!" Ash exclaimed out loud, turning his head left and right to see that the fog was all around them. "Yeah, this fog is terrible". May said in agreement, staying close to Ash for safety.
"Pika pika". Pikachu said from the ground right next to Ash, having decided to walk instead of riding on the Rainbow Hero's shoulder. "If only one of us had a Pokémon that could use Defog". Verity commented, wishing she taught one of her Pokémon the move 'Defog' incase they stumbled into something like this. "Watch your step everyone. There's no telling what could happen in this fog". Sorrel warned the group, keeping his eyes out. "Rrraaarrraaa". Lucario said in agreement, sticking close to his trainer.
"You're right, we should be careful". Ash replied to his sworn brother as he took three steps forward. However, his left leg was caught in a branch, making him fall into a puddle of water. Pikachu, May, Max, Brock, Verity, Piplup, Sorrel and Lucario all sweat dropped a bit at seeing this.
"Next time, listen to yourself". Max told the Rainbow Hero as Ash got back on his feet, before he noticed his jacket had gotten wet. A little bit later, the gang was sitting down on a few rocks with Ash's jacket hanging on a tree branch. The Rainbow Hero's Rapidash was out, standing right behind his trainer to keep both him warm, and to help dry Ash's jacket. Without his jacket, Ash's shirt was visible with his scarf still wrapped around his neck.
"This fog is way too dangerous. We better wait until it clears up". Brock told the group as they sat around in a circle, receiving a nod of agreement from the Rainbow Hero. "Yeah". Ash replied to his old friend, lifting his left hand up to scratch his Rapidsh's chin, getting the Fire-type to nuzzle its right cheek against its trainer's left cheek.
"That's weird". Max stated as he looked through his PokéNav, getting his sister curious on what he meant. "What Max?" The older sibling asked her younger brother, wanting to know what it is he is calling weird. Max was about to answer, but Sorrel beat him to it. "He means that the mountain lighthouse is close by us. It lights the way for travelers so that they won't lose their way". The Pokémon Professor in training answered as he read through a travel book, reading a page about Route 110.
"Yeah, what he says". Max remarked as he went back to looking at his PokéNav. "Okay, but where is it?" Verity questioned, holding her Piplup in her hands. "I can't see anything". The Twinleaf girl added as she looked around, but just saw fog around them. "When will this fog finally break?" A female voice unexpectedly questioned, getting Verity and Piplup's attention.
"Who said that?" The 12-year-old girl asked, wondering who it was that asked that questioned. "Piplup pi?" Piplup questioned as well, looking a bit surprised. "So ya know it's gonna take an attack from some electric Pokémon to get this Light Stone to light up". Another unexpected voice told someone, not directed to any of Ash's friends or the Rainbow Hero himself.
"Pika?" Pikachu said in confusion, wondering where those two voices came from. "Don't tell me I just heard Pikachu?" The same female voice from before asked, sounding a bit closer than before. "Okay, I won't". Another voice answered the female voice as the fog started to clear. "Besides, why would the twerps be out in this muck anyways?" The third voice questioned as the fog cleared to reveal that it was actually Team Rocket that were the unknown voices the whole time, with the three of them on their hot air balloon.
"Aaaahhhhaaaa!" Team Rocket cried out in surprise at seeing the Rainbow Hero and his friends. "Team Rocket!" Ash, Verity, Sorrel, Brock, May and Max called out in alarm at seeing the three losers again. "Pi-pi pikachu!" The Electric-type cried out as he stepped forward with Lucario, Piplup and Rapidash by his side, all of them facing the three thieves.
"Your twerpy timing is perfect!" Jessie exclaimed with a pleased look on her face as the hot air balloon floated above Ash and his friends. "Cause now we'll whisk away Pikachu!" Meowth added with his own pleased look, though he was holding what appeared to be a stone in his hands. "Pin Missile, Cacnea!" James called out as he brought out and threw his Poké Ball, releasing the Grass-type.
"Cacnea!" Cacnea cried out as he fired Pin Missile at the gang from his horns. "Rapidash, use Iron Tail!" Ash commanded as he pointed out with his right hand's index finger. Rapidash cried out as his tail glowed white, before the Fire-type spun around and knocked the Pin Missiles right back at Team Loser. Team Loser cried out in surprise, while Cacnea hugged James and Meowth accidentally let go of the stone. The stone fell to the edge of the mountain, where Pikachu climbed atop it to face the thieves.
"And now it's time for your daily shocking! Pikachu Thunderbolt!" Ash called out as he ran up to behind Pikachu. "Pika-chu!" Pikachu cried out as he fired Thunderbolt, but unexpectedly the stone under the Electric-type glowed white. Pikachu's Thunderbolt struck the balloon, shocking both it and Team Rocket, causing the three to cry out, before their balloon exploded.
"Party poopers!" The three cried out as they, along with Caccnea, fell down to the lake at the bottom of the cliff, making a huge splash upon impact. "Way to go, Pikachu". Ash praised his partner as the rest of the gang, including Lucario, Piplup and Rapidash, walked up and stopped behind the two best friends. "Pika pika!" Pikachu cried out in joy with a wide smile.
However, everyone then took notice of the stone that Pikachu was standing on was glowing. "Look at that rock". May said as Pikachu looked down at the stone that he was standing on. "Why is it glowing?" Max questioned, wondering why the stone was glowing. "Pi?" The Electric-type said as he turned around and jumped off, before the stone ceased glowing. "Pika!" Pikachu said in surprise to see that the stone ceased glowing.
"It… went out". Brock stated as Ash walked up to the stone and picked it up. "I've never seen a stone like this". Ash remarked as Verity, Sorrel, Rapidash, Piplup and Lucario gathered around him and looked at the stone in his hands. "Why was it glowing when Pikachu was on it?" Verity questioned as she leaned closer to look at the stone. "Piplup?" The Water-type said as she climbed up her partner's back to her head to get a closer look at the stone.
"It started glowing when Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt on Team Rocket. That must mean it might have a connection to Electric-types". Sorrel told his friends, having taken notice of when the stone started glowing when Pikachu fired Thunderbolt. "Hey! There you are!" A voice called out, getting everyone's attention as they looked to see a red haired girl in her late teens and a young brown haired boy running towards them, before they stopped a few feet away.
"So you're the thieves, huh?" The girl accused with a glare on her face, while the boy looked confused. "Who, us?" May questioned in confusion, getting Sorrel to shake his head. "No, she means Santa Claus. Of course she means us!" The Pokémon Professor in training told the young female, getting her to sweat drop at him. "You've got it all wrong". Ash said to the girl, trying to fix this misunderstanding.
"Spare me all your lies!" The girl snapped at Ash as she brought out a Poké Ball. "Magnemite, Thunderbolt!" The red haired female commanded as she threw the Poké Ball, releasing the Electric and Steel-type. "Magnemite!" The Electric and Steel-type cried out as it fired a white Thunderbolt at the ground in front of the gang, making May, Max and Brock cry out in surprise, while the others widened their eyes.
"You wanna play, huh? Okay, let's play! Rapidash, Flamethrower!" The Rainbow Hero commanded his Fire-type, which Rapidash obeyed as he unleashed a Flamethrower from its mouth, landing a direct hit on Magnemite. Papidash's attack completely scorched the Electric and Steel-type, sending it crashing to the ground in front of the surprised red haired girl and brown haired boy with its eye in the shape of an x.
"Oh Magnemite!" The girl exclaimed in surprise to see her Pokémon easily defeated, before she turned to the young boy. "Thatcher, you gotta help me battle them". The girl told the boy, revealing his name and getting the boy to look at her. "But sis, I've never battled before in my life". Thatcher reminded his sister that he doesn't battle, making Ash slightly narrow his eyes.
"Oh, well then I'll just take some moral support". The girl said to Thatcher, getting him to nod to her before he brought out two Poké Balls. "Go Plusle! Go Minun!" Thatcher called out as he threw the two Poké Balls, releasing small nearly identical Pokémon, only with a colour difference and having tails different from the other.
Plusle is a cream-colored bipedal Pokémon with red markings. It had a dot-like nose, and a cream-colored plus sign in the middle of its circular red cheeks. It has long, flat ears that are mostly red. Its limbs are stubby and digitless, and it has red front paws. Its short tail is tipped with a red plus sign. Minun is a cream-colored bipedal Pokémon with blue markings. It had a dot-like nose, and a cream-colored minus sign in the middle of its circular blue cheeks. It has long, flat ears that are mostly blue. Its limbs are stubby and digitless, and it has blue front paws. Its short tail is tipped with a blue minus sign. "Plu! /Min!" The two Pokémon cried out with smiles on their faces.
"What are those?" Ash asked in surprise, this being his first time seeing a Plusle and Minun. "That's a Plusle and a Minun, Electric-type Pokémon. They're also known as Cheering Pokémon". Sorrel informed to not just the Rainbow Hero, but to everyone about Plusle and Minum.
"Cheering Pokémon, huh?" Brock commented as he looked at Plusle and Minun with the two little Pokémon standing in front of Thatcher. "They're just adorable". May said with a smile, adoring the two Electric types. "That doesn't mean they're harmless". Verity told May, having battled cute Pokémon and experienced that they're stronger than they look.
"Okay, Plusle and Minun, cheer for Alyssa's Magnemite". Thatcher told the two Electric types, who smiled up at him. The two Electric types ran up to Magnemite, before stopping behind it. Plusle started cheer dancing, while Minun began punching the air. "That's their cheer?" Max questioned as he didn't think that cheering would help Magnemite.
Suddenly, Plusle and Minun's cheeks began sparking with electricity, making Ash and Sorrel slightly widen their eyes. "Now, Helping Hand!" Thatcher commanded, making Ash, Sorrel and Verity widen their eyes in surprise. "Did he say Helping Hand!?" The three old friends called out in shock as Plusle and Minun brought their tails together, creating an electric surge that shot into the sky. The electric surge soon came back down and struck Magnemite, healing the Electric and Steel-type as it floated into the air once again, even restoring its color.
"Aww crap!" The Rainbow Hero called out with wide eyes at seeing that Magnemite had recovered. "Yes, now fight back Magnemite!" The girl named Alyssa called out to her Magnemite, who obeyed her as it fired another white Thunderbolt at the group, striking the ground in front of them again. "Come on, knock it off already! We didn't steal anything!" Ash exclaimed, now starting to get annoyed.
"Look at our innocent faces! Do we look like criminals to you?!" Brock questioned the girl named Alyssa, waving his hands above him. "Yes!" Alyssa replied instantly, making Ash, May, Max, Brock, Sorrel, Verity, Pikachu, Rapidash, Lucario and Piplup sigh. "I feel insulted". Verity stated with her eyes closed, feeling insulted that in Alyssa's point of view, she looked like a criminal. "You're not the only one". Sorrel told the Twinleaf Town girl, feeling insulted as well.
"Now, give us back our Light Stone!" Alyssa demanded as she held her right fist up, surprising Ash a little, before he looked down at the stone in his hands. "This is yours? I'm sorry. You can have it back, here". The Rainbow Hero apologized as he walked up to Alyssa, who walked up to him with her eyes narrowed. "Well, that was easy enough". The red haired girl said in surprise as she reached for the Light Stone.
"Hold it!" A familiar female voice called out, getting Ash and Alyssa to turn to look at the edge and saw that Team Rocket had climbed up to the top, although they looked like they've seen better days. "Get your twerpy paws off of that Light Stone!" Jessie demanded with narrowed eyes. "It's ours". James added as he, Jessie and Meowth jumped onto the solider ground besides each other.
"We stole it, and want it back!" The Normal-type exclaimed with a smirk on his face. "That rock means promotions and fancy titles!" The three losers all said in perfect synchronicity, making Ash narrow his eyes at them. "Isn't one shocking enough for you guys, or is this one of those days that you guys need a second one to leave us alone!?" The Rainbow Hero yelled at Team Loser as Thatcher walked up next to his sister, staring at the three members of Team Rocket.
"Alyssa, those are the real crooks!" Thatcher told his sister, making her widen her eyes in surprise, before she narrowed them as she looked at Team Loser. "Now I see". Alyssa said in realization that she had made a made. Jessie, James and Meowth all cried out as they charged towards Ash, Alyssa and Thatcher. "We asked you nicely!" The three shouted out, scaring Thatcher as he grabbed hold of his sister in fear. "Oh no!" The young boy called out in fear, before he blinked in surprise when Ash ran up in front of him and his sister.
Ash cried out as he threw the Light Stone into the sky. The Rainbow Hero then brought his hands up in front of them and held them in an X shape position, before the Electrium Z on his Z-Ring activated. "Pika!" Pikachu cried out as he jumped in front of his best friend and faced Team Rocket. Both Ash and Pikachu moved their bodies in perfect synchronicity as they did the Electrium Z pose, before a bright light surrounded Ash. The light transferred over to Pikachu, causing a bright light to surround the Electric-type.
"Pikachu, let's use our full power! Gigavolt Havoc!" Ash called out as Pikachu build up his power, creating a large ball of yellow electricity in front of him, before he punched it with his right fist, firing it at the three losers. The large ball converted into an electric current, making Thatcher gasp in shock. Gigavolt Havoc then made contact with Team Loser, creating an explosion that blasted the three losers into the sky.
"We're…" Jessie began as she, Meowth and James flew into the air. "Blasting…" Meowth continued for the female member of the team. "Off again" James finished for his teammates as all three of them disappeared in the sky, leaving a twinkle as they disappeared. With the three losers gone, Ash reached out and caught the Light Stone in his hands, while Pikachu jumped onto his left shoulder.
Everyone had smiles on their faces at seeing Ash deal with Team Rocket, except for Thatcher, who had a look of disbelief on his face. "There they go". Max said with a wide smile on his face. "That's so cool. Ash's Z-Move can work against anything". May commented with a smile and blush on her face. "You'd think they'd figure that one out eventually". Brock commented in amusement as Thatcher's look of disbelief changed into a look of awe.
"Alright, good job once again Pikachu!" Ash praised his best friend as he rubbed Pikachu's head with his left hand, while he kept hold of the Light Stone with his right hand. "Pika pika". The Electric-type replied to his best friend as Pikachu and Ash rubbed their cheeks against each other. Thatcher could see the bond between them, but had something else in his mind. "Could it be…?" The young boy said in disbelief, wondering if Ash was who he think he was.
"Here you go". Ash said with a smile as he held the Light Stone out to Alyssa. "Thank you so much". The red haired girl thanked the 12-year-old as she took the Light Stone from the Rainbow Hero. "Sorry, I really misjudged all of you, huh". Alyssa apologized to the gang as Magnemite floated closer to her, while Plusle and Minun stood next to Thatcher.
"It's alright, nobody was hurt". Sorrel told the older female, accepting her apology. "It was just a misunderstanding". Verity said with a forgiving smile on her face. "Piplup pi!" The Water-type called out in agreement, making Verity smile at her started, before she picked Piplup up in her hands and held her.
"So what's the deal with that Light Stone?" The Rainbow Hero asked, wondering what makes the Light Stone so special. "This Light Stone is the treasure of our village. Without it, we wouldn't be able to operate our mountain lighthouse". Alyssa explained to the gang about the Light Stone as she and Thatcher lead everyone to the lighthouse. "Aha, so there is a lighthouse around here!" Max commented as everyone arrived at the top of the lighthouse with the Light Stone was placed on a concrete stand.
"Yes. The air tends to get very foggy here, so the light house is always there to lend a hand and keep people from losing their way". Alyssa finished explaining to the gang as everyone gathered around the Light Stone. During their walk to the Lighthouse, Ash returned Rapidash to its Great Ball, while Alyssa returned her Magnemite to its Poké Ball. Verity was still holding her Piplup in her arms, while Lucario was standing besides his trainer.
"Well, glad you got it back". Ash said to the red hair girl, glad that the Light Stone was back where it belonged. "Me too. Let me show you how the stone works". Alyssa offered to the gang, before turning to look at Plusle and Minun. "Plusle and Minun, you ready?" The teenage girl questioned the two Electric-types.
The two cried out as they jumped off the ground and onto the Light Stone. Plusle and Minun exclaimed as they released a surge of electricity, causing the Light Stone to glow brightly. "Whoa…" Ash, Verity, Sorrel, Brock, Max and May said in awe at seeing the light. "See? We use Pokémon electricity to light up the stone". Alyssa told the gang as she watched with a smile.
Pikachu, Lucario and Piplup were the same as their trainers, looking at the glowing Light Stone in awe. Soon the glow died down, and Alyssa turned to face the gang again. "I can't thank you all enough for bringing our precious stone back to the light house". Alyssa thanked the gang once more, very grateful to them. "Aha, it was nothing. Really". Brock said with a nervous smile, getting the gang to look at him and knew that he was falling for Alyssa.
"Of course not, because you didn't do anything". Max reminded Brock, making the older male sweat drop as he realized that the young child was right. "Right…" Brock said as Verity turned to face her boyfriend. "I gotta say; we sure were lucky to run into Team Rocket". Verity said to her boyfriend, getting him to smile at her. "Yeah, you got a point. Sometimes running into those guys could be a good thing". Ash replied to Verity before he gave a sudden sneeze, getting the Twinleaf girl to tilt her head.
"Excuse me; I should put my jacket back on now". The Rainbow Hero said as he grabbed his bag from the ground, opened it and began searching for his jacket. Almost immediately, he found his jacket, all dried up now. "There it is, all nice and dry again". Ash said with a smile as he began to put his jacket back on.
Thatcher widened his eyes immediately upon seeing the jacket. "Hey, I knew it!" The young boy called out in surprise, getting the gang's attention as Verity was helping Ash untie his scarf. "That outfit…! Hey, you're the hero!" Thatcher called out in excitement as he ran up to Ash, who just put his jacket on with Verity retying his scarf.
"That's the outfit; you're the hero, Ash!" Thatcher told the Rainbow Hero, who slightly widened his eyes, wondering if the young boy somehow knew he was the Rainbow Hero. Ash wasn't the only one surprised by Thatcher's words, Verity, Sorrel, Piplup, Lucario, Brock, Max, May and Pikachu all had wide eyes as well at what the young boy said to their friend.
"…What hero?" The raven-haired boy questioned Thatcher, wondering if the young boy saw the Rainbow Wing in his pocket. Instead of answering the Rainbow Hero, Thatcher looked back at his sister. "Hey Alyssa, he's the Legendary Hero". Thatcher told his sister, who had a nervous smile on her face. "Yeah, maybe". Alyssa said with an uncertain voice, getting Ash to raise an eyebrow at what Thatcher called him, having been expecting him to call him the Rainbow Hero.
"What does he mean by Legendary Hero?" Sorrel questioned on behalf of his sworn brother. "He's talking about the legend that tells of a great hero who brought the Light Stone to our village a long time ago". Alyssa explained as she gestured to her brother, who was now standing beside her.
Ash slightly widened his eyes, though was a bit surprised that Thatcher thought of him as a different kind of hero than the Rainbow Hero. "That sounds like it was a big deal". Ash stated as he looked back at the Light Stone. "Yeah, look at this". Thatcher told the gang as he gestured to the concrete stand.
The gang looked and saw somekind of writing on the concrete stand. "Long ago, great calamities came to Misty Village. Then a blue robed hero, accompanied by a lightning Pokémon bestowed upon us, the Light Stone. When our village is again in danger, the hero will return". Thatcher read the writing to the gang, looking quite excited. "See what I mean? The hero's gotta be you!" Thatcher exclaimed in excitement as he looked at Ash, who looked a bit nervous.
"Well that is how the legend goes". Alyssa commented with an uncertain look, getting Thatcher to look at her. "Of course. Ash is dressed in blue, just like the hero and he even has his Pikachu with him. Right hero?" Thatcher said in excitement, before he ran up to Ash and took hold of his hands with his own.
"You came here because the Light Stone was in danger, didn't you?" Thatcher questioned Ash, who looked a bit nervous that he was assumed to be another kind of hero from a different legend. "Not really…" Ash replied in an uncertain voice with a hint of concern. "Pika". Pikachu said as he climbed onto Ash's left shoulder and looked at him in concern. "Ash is another hero?!" Max questioned in surprise, before he cried out in surprise when Sorrel placed his right hand over his mouth.
"Quiet!" The Pokémon Professor in training told the 8-year-old, whispering to avoid unnecessary attention. Max nodded to the older male as Sorrel slowly removed his hand. "One legend wasn't enough for Ash, now he's the hero of two legends". Verity whispered in concern for her boyfriend, hopping that this legend didn't place a heavy burden on Ash like the first one.
A few minutes later, Thatcher was leading the gang and his sister to his home village. "Great hero, please allow me to guide you to the village". Thatcher requested as he walked ahead of the gang with his Plusle and Minun keeping pace with him. "Right this way". The young boy added as he continued walking ahead with everyone else following him.
Pikachu, Piplup and Lucario were walking besides their trainers, wanting to get some exercise, while Verity and Sorrel stayed beside Ash. "I'm afraid I'm gonna have to apologize for my brother since it looks like he's convinced himself that you're the hero Ash". Alyssa said to the Rainbow Hero, apologizing for her brother, getting Ash to look at her with a small smile.
"Ha, don't worry about it". The Rainbow Hero replied to the older teenager, feeling a bit more relaxed that this legend didn't have such a heavy burden. Alyssa smiled at Ash's response, before she looked up at her brother. "Thatcher. What an imagination, and always one to jump to conclusions". Alyssa said with a smile, though she didn't sound annoyed or anything, just happy.
"Well, when it comes to little brothers, I know how you feel". May commented with a smile, making Max close his eyes in slight annoyance. "I wouldn't talk if I were you, sister dear". Max replied to his sister, knowing that she isn't exactly a peaceful sibling either. "Speaking of little brothers, do you have any siblings Verity, Sorrel?" Brock questioned the two Sinnoh trainers, getting Sorrel to shake his head in response.
"Unfortunately no, I'm an only child". The young Pokémon Professor in training replied to the Pokémon Breeder. Brock turned to look at Verity, who had a nervous smile on her face. "Well… I actually have two younger siblings, twins in fact". The Twinleaf Town girl answered, getting Ash curious as he looked at his girlfriend. "Really? Why didn't you ever mention them?" The Rainbow Hero asked his girlfriend, who turned to look at him.
"You never asked". Verity answered as she stuck her toung out playfully, making Ash chuckle. "Both of them are identical boys, with the only way to tell them apart is their hair color. One of them has brown hair like me, while the other has blond hair like my mom. Their names are Kazuki and Desi". Verity told her boyfriend about her younger siblings with a smile on her face. "Piplup pi". Piplup commented, walking beside her trainer with a happy look from hearing Kazuki and Desi's names.
"They're really sweet and kind, and hate to cause trouble. They're really close to my mom, you could even call them 'momma's boys'. They're close to my dad as well, and they really look up to me". Verity continued to tell her friends about her little siblings, smiling as she thought back to the days she played with her little brothers.
"Sounds like you were all close". Sorrel commented as he walked next to his two old friends, getting both Ash and Verity to look at her. "We really were; Kazuki and Desi wouldn't do anything without me. They dragged me into pretty much everything they did; I would even pick them up from kindergarten. Eventually, the day came when I became a trainer". Verity continued as her happy smile turned into a sad one.
"The two practically begged me to stay, but I wanted to be a trainer. The two were still young, so they were pretty mad that I decided to leave. They said some really bad things, but I know they didn't mean what they said. They were just angry". Verity finished explaining with a sad look on her face, getting Ash, Sorrel and Piplup worried about her.
"What did they say?" Ash asked his girlfriend, who was silent for 10 seconds before she answered. "You're the worse sister ever". The tomboy girl revealed, making Ash and Sorrel slightly widen their eyes. "Pip pip piplup". The Penguin Pokémon said in concern as she grabbed onto her trainer's ankle, getting Verity to smile at her starter, before she picked Piplup up and held the Water-type in her arms.
"They were just upset, and couldn't control themselves. They'd never say anything like that if they were in control". Verity told her friends, but they could feel the sadness in her voice. "Yet their words still hurt you". Ash said in concern for his girlfriend, getting Sorrel to look at him. "Despite your words, your little brothers' words hurt you. No sibling should ever be called a terrible sibling". Sorrel commented with his arms crossed, getting Verity to look at him next.
Verity smiled sadly at her friends as she shook her head. "I'm not gonna lie, their words hurt me a lot. But it was nothing compared to seeing them cry when I left 2 years ago. But it's thanks to you guys that I had the courage to go back home and see them again". Verity told her friends, getting Ash and Sorrel to slightly widen their eyes.
"After our journey to Mount Tensei…" Ash said, getting Verity to nod at her boyfriend without looking at him. "Like I said when we parted ways, I went back home in Sinnoh to see my mom. I saw my little brothers and boy were they glad to see me again. They apologized for what they said to me, and I could tell that they really regret what they said. Things went back to normal with all three of us being the best of friends again. And when the time came for me to leave again, they said goodbye with smiles. I was really happy that they wished me luck". Verity told her boyfriend and old friend with a smile, getting the two males to smile at her.
"I'm glad to hear that". Sorrel said to his old friend, glad to hear that Verity reformed her bond with her younger siblings. "How old are they?" The Rainbow Hero asked his girlfriend, who faced him with a smile. "They're 7-years-old. In three years, they'll start their journeys". Verity answered her beloved boyfriend, telling him and Sorrel the age of her little brothers.
"They're both 7-years-old, huh?" Sorrel commented as he looked over his shoulder to glance at Max, who was in an argument with May about who was the most childish of them. "So in three years they'll start their journey, right?" Ash questioned, getting Verity to look at him and nod.
"You got it. In fact, they want to start their journey in Kanto". The Twinleaf Town girl told her boyfriend, getting the Rainbow Hero curious. "Really? And why is that?" Ash asked Verity, wondering why her siblings would want to start their journey in Kanto. "They actually want to start there because of you guys". Verity answered, getting Ash and Sorrel more curious.
"I told them all about you guys and our journey to Mount Tensei. They really loved what I told them and that you were a hero of a legend, Ash. They're really hoping to meet you guys someday". The brunette girl told her boyfriend, who gained a blush on his face a bit at hearing his girlfriend's younger siblings wanted to meet him. "W-wow, I honestly had no idea". The Rainbow Hero said with a nervous look, making Verity giggle at her boyfriend.
"Quick warning, they'll ask you all sorts of embarrassing questions, just like they did me". Verity warned her boyfriend, getting Sorrel curious. "I'm guessing they knew that you had a crush on Ash, right?" Sorrel questioned his friend, who blushed at him, giving the Pokémon Professor in training his answer. "Wow, even little kids could tell you had a crush on Ash. Guess it really is simple". Sorrel chuckled as he walked ahead of his two blushing friends. Sorrel wasn't the only one amused, Piplup was giggling at seeing both Ash and Verity blushing, before she jumped out of her trainer's arms and continued walking with her friends.
"So… um… Ash?" Verity nervously said to her boyfriend, getting his attention as he nervously looked at her. "Yeah, what is it Verity?" Ash replied to his girlfriend, wondering what it is she wanted to say. "A-are you okay with this whole hero thing? I mean, you're already the Rainbow Hero. Being the hero of one legend is tough, but two is crossing the line. Are you gonna be okay?" Verity questioned her boyfriend, worried about him since he already had a heavy burden as the Rainbow Hero.
"I'll be okay. Besides from what I've heard so far, this legend of the Legendary Hero doesn't seem to have a big impact on the world like the legend of the Rainbow Hero". Ash replied to his girlfriend, feeling alright at the moment since it seemed like being the Legendary Hero wasn't as important as being the Rainbow Hero. Sorrel overheard the conversation, getting him to look over his left shoulder to look at his sworn brother. "If you're feeling too much pressure, let us know". Sorrel told his sworn brother, getting the Rainbow Hero to look up at him and nod with a smile.
Soon the gang reached Thatcher and Alyssa's home village. It looked nice and peaceful, a bit like Pallet Town as nature surrounded it. "Grandpa! I've got the Legendary Hero here with me!" Thatcher called out as he lead the way to his house. What Thatcher said got pretty much everyone of the village's attention as they looked at Thatcher.
In a two-story house, an elderly old man walked out of the front door. "What? What's this about the Legendary Hero?" The elderly old man questioned, making Ash laugh nervously as he rubbed the back of his head with his right hand. "I'll… go explain to my grandfather". Alyssa said as she walked over to the old man. She leaned close to his ear and began whispering to him. When she was done, both Alyssa and the elderly old man gave Ash welcoming smiles. "We must show our hero the proper respect, right?" Alyssa's grandfather said with a smile as he understood the situation now.
"Right". Thatcher replied to his grandfather, before he turned to face the gang. "Hero, feel free to enter our house". The young boy told Ash with an eager smile, before he turned to face May, Max, Brock, Verity and Sorrel. "Your followers are welcome too". Thatcher added, making May and Max sweat drop, while Verity giggled. "Followers…?" The two siblings repeated as Piplup chuckled at them.
"Y'know, in retrospect, with Ash being the Rainbow Hero, you guys are kind of followers". Verity whispered to May and Max, snickering as the two siblings sweat drop even more. Alyssa walked forward with a look of apology on her face. "I'm sorry". The red haired girl apologized to the gang for this whole thing. "No!" Brock called out as he leaped over to her and took her hands into his.
"I am a follower and I'll follow my heart right down the road of love that leads me to you!" Brock told Alyssa, love struck with the red haired girl, just like with every beautiful woman he's seen. Alyssa had wide eyes at Brock's words and the fact that he was holding her hands. "How nice…" The red haired girl said, feeling a bit uneasy of Brock.
Suddenly a flash came out of Brock's pocket, before something starting repeatedly hitting him on the head, sending the former Gym Leader down to the ground with him losing his grip on Alyssa's hands. The flash cleared to reveal that it was Brock's Chatot, who perched itself on the Pokémon Breeder's head. Sorrel and Lucario chuckled at this, while Alyssa had a surprised look on her face.
Later, everyone was at Thatcher and Alyssa's backyard. Ash, Pikachu, Verity, Piplup, Sorrel and Lucario were sitting down on a bench with the three humans having cups of tea. May, Max, Brock and Alyssa were standing to the side, while Thatcher was standing 5 feet away from the Rainbow Hero with Plusle and Minun beside him.
"I sure like to become like you someday". Thatcher said to Ash, immediately getting everyone's attention as they all looked at the young boy. "What do you mean by that?" Ash asked in confusion, wondering why Thatcher said that. "Pika?" Pikachu said from beside Ash, just as confused as his best friend is. "The thing is… I've never been able to battle before. I got my Plusle and Minun from my grandfather, but I'm only allowed to use their Helping Hand attack so that it helps other people out". Thatcher began to explain to the Rainbow Hero, who listened very carefully to the young boy.
"What I'd really like to do is be able to battle like you, great hero". Thatcher finished explaining as Ash smiled, now understanding the young boy's wish. However, he then smiled nervously as he had no experience with being a teacher. "I understand your reasons…" The Rainbow Hero began with a nervous look, before he looked at Alyssa through the corner of his right eye.
Alyssa gave the Rainbow Hero a nod, making him nod back before he looked at Thatcher. "I may not be experienced with being a teacher, but I'll do my best, and that's a promise!" Ash promised the young boy, making Thatcher smile big time. "Really? You will? Yay!" Thatcher called out in joy as Plusle and Minun joined him in crying out in joy.
Thatcher then turned to look at his Pokémon. "Great. Plusle and Minun, let's find out what we can do!" Thatcher exclaimed in excitement, missing his sister having a happy look on her face. Ash turned to look at both Verity and Sorrel by his side, which Sorrel gave him a nod, while Verity gave him a wink, both telling the Rainbow Hero that he'll do great.
A little bit later, everyone was in the forest that was a bit away from the village. Ash was standing in front of Thatcher with Pikachu by his side, while the young boy had Plusle and Minun by his side. May, Brock, Max, Verity, Alyssa, Piplup, Sorrel and Lucario were watching from the side with the young Twinleaf Town girl holding her starter in her arms.
"Okay, you ready Thatcher?" The Rainbow Hero questioned the young boy, who nodded eagerly. "I am ready, great hero". Thatcher answered with Plusle and Minun crying out in agreement. "Okay, then listen. First off, you have to train with your Pokémon and be ready for anything". Ash began the lesson with Thatcher listening carefully. "Secondly: no matter what you face, believe in yourself and your Pokémon and even if you lose, you gave it your best shot. Third: believe in your own potential and that of your Pokémon. And if you can't do it alone, let your Pokémon help you. That's something I like to call Pokémon Power". Ash continued to explain to the young boy, who titled his head a bit.
"Pokémon Power?" The young boy questioned, having never heard of Pokémon Power before. "It's something I came up with when I traveled to Fula City in the Johto Region. It's where both people and Pokémon work together to accomplish their goals". The Rainbow Hero explained to the young boy about Pokémon Power, who slowly began to understand. "Interesting. For something like that, the name 'Pokémon Power' makes sense". Sorrel commented with a smile, impressed with how Ash named the unity of people and Pokémon. "Rrraaa". Lucario said with his arms crossed, agreeing with his trainer. "It's so like Ash to call it something like that". May said with a smile and her cheeks a bit red.
"Finally, never give up until the very end". Ash finished the lesson, missing Verity smile at him with her cheeks red at hearing those words. She could still remember when she first heard those words from Ash. It happened the night on the day she told her boyfriend and Sorrel about her mother.
Ash and her had a discussion about her mother, and how she wanted her mother to be proud of her. Ash understood her reasons and told her not to give up on her dream, but he told her that he believed that Verity's mother still loved her. Verity appreciated her friend's words and thanked him, before kissing him on the cheek, making both her and the Rainbow Hero blush at her actions.
"Now, I want you to watch me in battle". The Rainbow Hero told Thatcher, before he turned to face his friends. "So, who's up for a battle?" Ash questioned his friends with a confident smirk. Surprisingly, Brock was the one who answered as he stepped forward. "I'm up for it". The former Gym Leader told his old friend, who smirked even more.
"I like where this is going. It's been a long time since we last battled". Ash said as his smirk changed into an eager one. "Yeah. I think it was some time ago in Johto". Brock said in agreement as he thought back to the last time he battled Ash. A few seconds later, Ash and Brock were standing ten feet away from each other with Pikachu by Ash's side, while everyone else was by the side.
"So, how good would you say Brock is?" Sorrel questioned the two Maple siblings, his eyes focused on Ash and Brock with his arms crossed. "We honestly have no idea. Ash is the one who battles the most. But Ash did say that Brock used to be a Gym Leader". May told her new travelling companion, who grew curious.
"A former Gym Leader, huh?" The Pokémon Professor in training said in interest, looking forward to seeing the battle. "I wonder how the great hero will battle". Thatcher said in excitement to see the Rainbow Hero battle, getting Verity to look at him. "You'll be surprised. Ash has a special battling style". The Twinleaf Town girl told the young boy, getting Alyssa to look at her.
"Special how?" The red haired female questioned Verity, who just grinned at Alyssa. "You'll just have to see for yourself". The Twinleaf Town girl answered as she looked back at the battle that was about to take place. Alyssa looked at her little brother and saw the excitement in his eyes, making the female smile.
She remembered how Thatcher had such little confidence in himself, and was afraid of not being able to raise Plusle and Minun. Now, seeing how Ash had given him such confidence really filled Alyssa with happiness at how her little brother was gaining confidence. However, that was when she noticed fog gathering around the tower. "Oh oh". The young female said, getting everyone's attention, while Thatcher still watched Ash in excitement. "The fog's rolling in again. I better get going now, to the lighthouse". Alyssa told the gang, before she took off running towards the lighthouse. "Guess she's missing out on the battle". Max commented as he refocused on the battle, getting everyone else to watch the battle.
"So, how about a 3 on 3 battle?" Ash suggested to his old friend with his arms crossed, which Brock nodded to the Rainbow Hero. "Sure, why not. I've got four Pokémon, so I can use three". Brock replied to the Rainbow Hero as he brought out a Poké Ball with his right hand.
Ash brought out a Great Ball with his right hand. "I'll start off with this!" Ash called out as he threw the Great Ball into the air, releasing his Timburr, who spun the log around in its hands. "Timburr!" The Fighting-type cried out as he stopped spinning the log and held it in his hands like a spear.
"What's that Pokémon?" Thatcher questioned in surprise, having never seen a Timburr before in his life. Plusle and Minun shared their trainer's confusion, so Sorrel explained it to them. "That is a Timburr, a Fighting-type Pokémon from the Unova Region". Sorrel answered Thatcher, telling him and his Pokémon about Timburr. Thatcher looked at Sorrel for a few moments, before he went back to watching the battle about to take place.
"Go, Chatot!" Brock called out as he threw his Poké Ball, releasing the Normal and Flying-type, who spread its wings and flew into the air. "Chatot!" Chatot called out as he flew around a bit, before stopping and looking down at Timburr, who looked up at the Music Note Pokémon.
"So, it's a Flying-type against a Fighting-type, huh. That'll be difficult for Ash". Max commented as he adjusted his glasses, getting May to look at her brother. "I thought you learned that type disadvantage doesn't always wins the match Max". The older sister of the Maple siblings told her younger brother, getting Max to look at May. "I know that May, but still it's going to be a difficult battle for Ash". Max pointed out as he went back to watching the battle.
(Ash, Timburr and two more V.S Brock, Chatot and two more)
"Chatot, use Peck!" Brock commanded as he held out his right hand. "Chatot use Peck!" The Flying and Normal-type mimicked as his break started glowing, before he began diving down towards Timburr. "Timburr, use your log to defend yourself!" Ash told his Fighting-type, who nodded as it spun the log around, before holding it like a shield.
Chatot made contact with Timburr's log, pushing the Fighting-type back a bit, but Timburr pushed the Flying and Normal-type back into the air. "All right, now Bulk Up!" The Rainbow Hero commanded his Fighting-type. "Timburr!" The Fighting-type cried out as a crimson aura surrounded its body as it began flexing its muscles.
"That will increase Timburr's attack and defense power". Sorrel commented with his arms crossed, explaining what Bulk Up does. "That's a good thing, right?" Max questioned the Pokémon Professor in training, turning to look up at the older male. However, Verity answered Max instead of Sorrel. "You could say that, but there are ways to turn that around". The Twinleaf Town girl told the young 8-year-old boy, getting him to look at her.
"Luckily I came prepare for just such an occasion. Chatot, use Feather Dance!" Brock called out, holding his right hand out. "Chatot use Feather Dance!" The Flying and Normal-type called out as it spreads its wings as feathers appear in front of it. Chatot then flapped its wings, releasing a shroud of white feathers from them in front of itself at Timburr, who glow blue for a brief moment.
"That was smart of Brock. Father Dance lowers the opposing Pokémon's attack power more than Bulk Up raises the attack power. Timburr now has higher defense power, but lower attack power". Sorrel commented with an impressed smile with how Brock countered Bulk Up with Feather Dance. "That's a good countermeasure for moves that increases a Pokémon's attack power". Max remarked, also impressed with how Chatot knows Feather Dance.
"That won't stop us! Timburr, use Ice Punch!" Ash called out as he swiped his right hand to the side. "Timburr!" The Fighting-type cried out as it twirled its log around with its left hand, before resting it on his shoulder. Timburr's right hand then glowed light blue as it turned into a fist, before the Fighting-type leaped at Chatot.
"Quickly, counter with Steel Wing!" Brock reacted quickly and called out, holding up his right fist. "Steel Wing! Chatot use Steel Wing!" The Flying and Normal-type cried out as his wings glow white, before he dived down at Timburr. Timburr thrust out his right fist, while Chatot swung his right wing, before the two attacks clashed against each other.
Timburr and Chatot struggled to overpower each other, but eventually both of them were pushed back. Timburr landed on his feet, while Chatot flapped its wings to stay in the air. "This isn't going anywhere, so time to change tactics. Chatot, use U-turn!" Brock called out as he swiped his hand to the side.
"Chatot use U-turn!" The Normal and Flying-type cried out as it flew down to Timburr with his right talon out, intending to kick the Fighting-type Pokémon, who used its log to defend himself. Upon making contact, Chatot turned into a red beam and returned to its Poké Ball. Suddenly, a red beam came out of Brock's pocket, before it cleared to reveal Mudkip.
"What just happened?!" Thatcher questioned in surprise at seeing Chatot switch for Mudkip without Brock doing it himself. "That was U-turn. It's a Bug-type move that switches the Pokémon out for another one, but which Pokémon that'll be sent out next will be unknown". Sorrel explained to the young boy, telling what the move U-turn can do.
"Mudkip, Water Gun!" Brock commanded, holding his right hand out. "Mud…kip!" The Water-type cried out as it unleashed a stream of water from its mouth. Timburr tried to use its log to defend, but the Water Gun knocked the log out of his hand. "Not good!" The Rainbow Hero called out in surprise at seeing Water Gun knock Timburr's log out of his hands.
"Now's our chance! Mudkip, Tackle!" Brock exclaimed with a confident smirk on his face, which Mudkip cried out its name as it charged towards Timburr. "Even without his log, Timburr can still deal some damage! Timburr, Fire Punch!" Ash called out as he swiped his left hand to the side.
"Timburr!" Timburr cried out as its right fist was surrounded in fire, before the Fighting-type landed a direct hit on Mudkip, sending the Water-type back. "Mudkip no!" Brock called out in concern for his Mudkip, before the Water-type slide on the ground and stopped in front of his trainer. "That looked like it hurt". May commented, having winced when Timburr hit Mudkip with Fire Punch.
"But it shouldn't have done much damage since it was a Fire-type move". Max pointed out that Fire Punch was a Fire-type move, meaning it wouldn't deal much damage to a Water-type like Mudkip. "However, Timburr's ability could make up for that disadvantage". Sorrel stated with his arms crossed, getting both Max and May to look at him.
"Timburr's ability is Iron Fist. It's an ability that increases the power of punching moves, such as Fire Punch, so it dealt more damage than normal". The Pokémon Professor in training explained to the two Maple siblings, much to their amazement. "Wow, Pokémon sure are amazing". May stated with an amazed smile, making Sorrel smile as he pat Lucario's head, who grinned at his partner. "Indeed they are". Sorrel agreed with a smile, honestly loving Pokémon sincerely.
"Go Timburr, use Drain Punch!" Ash called out with a confident smirk on his face. "Timburr!" The Fighting-type cried out as a green light surrounded its right fist, before Timburr charged towards Mudkip, who stared at the approaching Fighting-type.
"Quickly Mudkip, use Protect!" Brock quickly commanded, reacting quickly as he could. Mudkip cried out his name as a light green force field appeared around him, protecting him from the Drain Punch and sending Timburr back. "I did not see that coming". The Rainbow Hero stated as Timburr slide on the ground.
"Now Mudkip, finish it with Water Gun!" Brock called out with a confident smirk on his face. "Mudkip!" The Water-type cried out as it unleashed a stream of water from its mouth, landing a direct hit and sending Timburr smashing into tree, before it collapsed next to its log. "Timburr!" Ash called out in concern for his Fighting-type. "Pika-pi!" Pikachu cried out as Timburr had swirls in his eyes, showing that he cannot continue battling.
(Winner: Mudkip)
"Wow, the great hero lost". Thatcher said in sadness as Ash returned Timburr to his Great Ball. "Don't worry; Ash is still in the battle. Besides, Ash hasn't had a lot of time practicing with Timburr, so I guess you could say that that was a test. Knowing Ash, he's probably gonna get serious now". Verity reassured the young boy, telling him that Ash was now gonna get serious.
Thatcher looked at Verity for a moment, before he looked back at Ash, who put the Great Ball away and brought out an Ultra Ball. "Okay, time to get serious. Go Zorua!" Ash called out as he threw the Ultra Ball, releasing the Dark-type from the device as she landed in front of the Rainbow Hero. Zorua first cried out in joy, before she growled at Mudkip.
(Zorua V.S Mudkip)
"Go Mudkip, Tackle!" Brock commanded with a confident smirk on his face. "Mudkip!" The Water-type cried out as he charged and tackled Zorua, pushing her back a bit. "Nice!" The former Gym Leader called out at seeing his Pokémon land a hit. "Revenge!" The Rainbow Hero commanded, holding his right hand out, making Brock widen his eyes.
An orange aura surrounded Zorua's body, before the aura formed into a fiery aura around Zorua's left front paw, before she leaped and slashed at Mudkip with it, making the Water-type cry out as the force of the attack pushed him off the ground. "Mudkip no!" Brock called out in concern as Mudkip fell to the ground on his back with swirls in his eyes.
(Winner: Zorua)
"How did Zorua win so fast?!" Max questioned in surprise at how the Dark-type defeated Mudkip with one hit. "Revenge's power is doubled if the caster was hit by an opponent's Pokémon. Since Zorua received a hit from Mudkip, Revenge's power was twice as strong". Sorrel explained to the young 8-year-old boy, telling him how Zorua obtained victory quickly.
"Now it's all tied up". Verity stated with a smile on her face. "Piplup pi". Piplup commented, although she was sad that her fellow Water-type was defeated so soundly. Brock returned Mudkip to his Poké Ball, before looking at the device with a smile. "You did great out there Mudkip, take a nice long rest". Brock said to the Poké Ball, as if he was speaking to his Water-type itself, before putting the device away.
The former Pewter City's Gym Leader brought out another Poké Ball, before throwing it and releasing Chatot again. "Chatot!" The Flying and Normal-type cried out as he flapped his wings to stay airborne. "Here we go again!" Ash commented with narrowed eyes, looking a bit annoyed. "Pikachu pi!" The Electric-type cried out to encourage Zorua.
(Zorua V.S Chatot)
"Chatot, use Steel Wing!" Brock commanded, holding his right hand out. "Steel Wing! Chatot use Steel Wing!" The Flying and Normal-type cried out as his wings glow white, before he dived down at Zorua, who glared at Chatot. "That won't work this time, Brock! Zorua, use Hyper Voice!" The Rainbow Hero called out as he swiped his hand to the side.
Zorua screamed, creating a blue wave of energy at Chatot, blasting the Normal and Flying-type away into the sky. "Oh no, Chatot!" Brock called out in concern for Chatot. "Smart, instead of fighting back with a physical move, using a special move works better". Sorrel commented with a impressed look on his face, getting May to look at him. "Physical? Special? What are you talking about?" The young female questioned, still not knowing everything about Pokémon.
Sorrel and Lucario turned to face May with the Pokémon Professor in training having his arms crossed. "There are three categories of moves: Physical, Special, and Status. Each type holds a different kind of effect when used. Steel Wing is a Physical move, where a Pokémon attacks with a part of its body. Hyper Voice is a Special move, where a Pokémon attacks from a distance. Finally, Dragon Dance is a Status move, a move that has different kind of effects. It could either increase or decrease a Pokémon's power, or paralyze them". Sorrel explained to the Maple girl, who blinked at what she's learned from the Pokémon Professor in training.
"Chatot, use U-turn!" Brock called out as he swiped his hand to the side. "Chatot use U-turn!" The Normal and Flying-type cried out as it flew down to Zorua with his right talon out, intending to kick the Dark-type Pokémon. Surprisingly, Chatot meet no resistance as it landed a direct hit on Zorua's head. Upon making contact, Chatot turned into a red beam and returned to its Poké Ball. Suddenly, a red beam came out of Brock's pocket, before it cleared to reveal Lotad.
"And Chatot switches out for Lotad, while landing a super effective hit". Max commented as he adjusted his glasses, while Sorrel narrowed his eyes at spotting Ash smirking. "It looks like Brock did what Ash wanted, and I can guess what Ash is thinking". Sorrel said with narrowed eyes, having a good feeling why Ash was smirking.
"Use Revenge!" The Rainbow Hero called out as he swiped his right hand out to the side, making Brock widen his eyes as he realized his mistake. An orange aura surrounded Zorua's body, before the aura formed into a fiery aura around Zorua's left front paw. The Dark-type then leaped and slashed at Lotad, landing a direct hit and making the Water and Grass-type cry out in surprise.
Lotad smashed into the ground with Brock looking down at the Water and Grass-type in concern. "Are you alright, Lotad?" Brock asked in concern as the Water and Grass-type got back on its feet. "Lotad". The Water and Grass-type replied to its trainer, still having the clueless look as always.
"That's good, now Water Gun!" Brock commanded as he held out his right hand. "Lotad!" Lotad cried out as it at first fired a small stream of water, before it completely transformed into a huge stream of water. "Sorry Brock, but that won't work. Zorua, use Night Daze!" Ash called out as he thrust out his right hand.
"En!" Zorua called out with a smirk as her eyes gleamed light blue as she raised her front two paws into the air. A crimson aura then surrounded Zorua's body. Zorua then brought her paws down to the ground as a pink and crimson force field of energy appeared around Zorua's body and expanded outwards throughout the whole battlefield.
Zorua's Night Daze easily overpowered Lotad's Water Gun and reached the Water and Grass-type, creating an explosion that covered Lotad from view. "Lotad!" Brock called out in concern for his Pokémon as the smoke from the explosion covered Lotad from view. Soon the smoke cleared to reveal Lotad lying down on the ground with swirls in his eyes.
(Winner: Zorua)
"Well that didn't last long". Verity commented in surprise with Piplup having a surprised look at how fast the battle ended. "Before you guys joined us, it was pretty much Ash that did all the battling with just a few exceptions". May told the older female, getting Verity to look at her for a moment, before she went back to watching the battle.
"Good job Zorua!" Ash praised his Dark-type, who smiled in joy at hearing her trainer's praise. "En!" Zorua exclaimed in joy before she began to glow, making everyone widen their eyes in surprise. "Zorua is evolving!" The Rainbow Hero exclaimed in joy as Zorua began growing bigger. "Pika". Pikachu said in joy at seeing the female Dark-type evolve.
Eventually the glow eventually died down, revealing that Zorua had indeed evolved. She was now a gray bipedal fox like Pokémon. She had a large, purple voluminous mane with brown tips. It also had a brown ruff on its upper body, pointed at the shoulders from which its arms extend. The arms have spiky extensions of fur at the elbows, and it has purple claws at both hands and feet. Finally, its eyes were purple rimmed with golden yellow irises. "Rrraaa!" The evolved Dark-type roared out as she swiped her claws out, releasing a small shock wave.
"Zorua evolved!" Max called out in excitement with a wide smile at seeing the Dark-type evolve. "Indeed she has, into a Zoroark!" Sorrel said with an impressed smirk on his face, revealing the name of the evolved Dark-type. "So cool! The Legendary Hero really is the greatest!" Thatcher exclaimed in joy with Plusle and Minun crying out in agreement.
Brock returned Lotad to its Poké Ball, before looking at the device that he was holding with his right hand. "You did your best Lotad, take a nice long rest". Brock said to the Poké Ball, as if he was speaking to Lotad, before he put the device away. Once again, Brock brought out Chatot's Poké Ball and threw it into the air, releasing the Flying and Normal-type once more.
(Zoroark V.S Chatot)
"Chatot, use Peck!" Brock commanded, holding out his right hand. "Chatot use Peck! Chatot use Peck!" The Flying and Normal-type repeated as his peck glowed white, before he dived down at Zoroark, who glared up at Chatot. "Block it!" Ash cried out as he held out his right hand. "Rrraaa!" The female Dark-type cried out as she crossed her claws in front of her.
Chatot made contact with Zoroark, who didn't even flinch from the Flying and Normal-type's Peck attack. "Now use Revenge!" Ash commanded as he swiped his right hand out to the side. An orange aura surrounded Zoroark's body, before the aura formed into a fiery aura around her left claw, before she slashed at Chatot, sending the Flying and Normal-type smashing into the ground. "Chatot no!" The former Gym Leader exclaimed in concern for his Flying and Normal-type Pokémon.
"This seems one sided". Verity commented with slightly narrowed eyes, having honestly expected a more fierce battle than this. "Piplup pi piplup". Piplup said in agreement to what her partner said, kinda disappointed as well. "Perhaps it can't be helped. Ash trains every day, while Brock does not train very much. Besides, you heard what May said, Ash did most of the battling before we joined". Sorrel said with his arms crossed; a bit disappointed at the lack of training Brock has done with his Pokémon. "Rrraaa". Lucario said in agreement, thinking that Brock should have trained as well.
"And now it's time for the finisher. Zoroark, use Night Daze!" Ash cried out as he swiped his right hand out. Zoroark's eyes glowed purple as a crimson aura surrounded its body. The female Dark-type raised its arms above her head with the aura around its forearms getting thicker. Zoroark then slammed its arms down onto the ground, creating a pink and crimson glowing forcefield of energy, which spread out towards the fallen Normal and Flying-type, before creating an explosion when it made contact.
"Chatot!" Brock called out in concern as he was forced to shield his face with his forearms from the shockwaves of Zoroark's Night Daze. Soon the Night Daze cleared to reveal that Chatot was still lying down on the ground, only it had swirls in its eyes now.
(Winner: Ash and Zoroark)
"All right, the hero won!" Thatcher called out in joy at seeing Ash win the battle. "That was a bit disappointing". Verity said with a frown on her face at seeing how her boyfriend defeated all three of Brock's Pokémon with just one. "Indeed. Brock needs more training to become more of a match against Ash". Sorrel said in agreement, before he and Lucario began walking towards Ash and Brock.
"Well done Zoroark". Ash praised his evolved Dark-type as he walked up to her and scratched her chin, much to Zoroark's joy. "Pikachu pi". The Electric-type congratulated Zoroark as he jumped into her mane and made himself comfortable, much to the Dark-type's amusement. Ash smiled at seeing Pikachu and Zoroark get along, before he turned around and saw Brock pick Chatot up in his arms.
"You did great Chatot, take a nice long rest". Brock praised his Flying and Normal-type, holding Chatot with his left hand, while he brought out the Poké Ball with his right hand. Brock then returned Chatot to its Poké Ball, before he placed the device away and stood up on his feet. Brock then walked over to Ash and gave the Rainbow Hero a smile.
"Great battle Ash, you've really grown stronger". Brock complimented the Rainbow Hero as he held out his right hand for a handshake, one that Ash accepted as he shook Brock's hand with his left hand. "Thank you Brock, though I wished it was a bit more exciting". The Rainbow Hero replied to the former Gym Leader, who sweat dropped with a nervous smile. "Ahh, sorry about that". The former Gym Leader apologized to his friend for not being a stronger opponent.
"Perhaps we could assist you Brock". Sorrel said as he and Lucario walked up to the former Gym Leader, getting Brock and Ash's attention as they looked at him, while Pikachu and Zoroark were too busy in a conversation to pay attention. "You have potential to grow stronger Brock, you just need a bit of guidance. If you want, I could assist you in training your Pokémon and grow much stronger". Sorrel offered to the former Gym Leader, wishing to help the older male grow stronger than his current level.
Brock held his chin as he thought about Sorrel's offer for a few moments, before he nodded to the younger male. "I'll take you up on that offer Sorrel. I'm curious to see just how much stronger I can grow". Brock told the younger male, accepting his offer, making the Pokémon Professor in training smile. "I am glad to hear that, Brock". Sorrel said with a pleased smile on his face, one shared by Lucario who also looked pleased.
Ash smiled at seeing Brock and Sorrel get along, before he walked past them and up to Thatcher, who looked up at him. "So, what do ya think?" The Rainbow Hero questioned the young boy, who gave him an excited look. "That was amazing. You're amazing great hero!" Thatcher exclaimed in excitement, pretty excited from watching Ash's battle with Brock. "Plu!/ Min!" Plusle and Minun called out in agreement to what their trainer said, having enjoyed the battle.
Ash smiled as he patted Thatcher on the head. "Thank you for your words, but I still have a lot more to learn. Just remember that no matter what you face, never give up until the very end. Promise me that you'll always remember that". Ash requested from the young boy, who nodded to the Rainbow Hero. "I will, great hero". Thatcher promised the Rainbow Hero, making his smile grow even larger than before.
However, that was when Ash noticed the fog around the tower slowly clearing. "It looks like your sister light up the lighthouse". The Rainbow Hero stated, getting everyone's attention. They all turned around and indeed saw the lighthouse letting out a glow "Looks like you're right". Max said as he adjusted his glasses to get a better look at the lighthouse.
Suddenly, somekind of noise came out of nowhere, making everyone widen their eyes in surprise. "What was that?" May questioned as everyone saw something hiding inside the clouds. "I think we're about to find out". Max answered his sister as a machine designed similar to Zapdos revealed itself, accompanied by the familiar laughter of two losers. "I think it's clear on who that is". Ash said with an annoyed frown on his face, knowing who it was inside the machine.
(Player Team Rocket's motto music)
"Prepare for trouble as we swoop down from the fog!" A familiar female voice called out from within the machine Zapdos. "Making it double, easy as falling off a log!" A familiar male voice called out, continuing for the female voice. "To protect the world from devastation!" The female voice continued as everyone saw Jessie and James standing atop the machine Zapdos, standing back to back.
"To unite all people within our nation". James added with his arms crossed. "To denounce the evils of truth and love!" Jessie continued her part of the motto with her arms crossed. "To extend our reach to the stars above!" James continued as well with a smirk.
"Jessie!" Jessie called out her name, spotlight shining down on her. "James!" James called out his name as the spotlight was now on him. "Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!" Jessie finished her part of the motto. "Surrender now or prepare to fight!" James finished his part of the motto. "Meowth, that's right!" Meowth called out as he joined Jessie and James at the top of the machine Zapdos. "Wobbu wobbu!" Wobbuffet called out as he popped out of his Poké Ball to join the motto.
(Music end)
"Them again!?" Ash called out in surprise and annoyance at seeing Team Loser make a third attempt. Thatcher flinched at seeing the three thieves again, a bit afraid of them and their machine. "Knowing them, they're probably after the Light Stone again". Brock stated with narrowed eyes, having a good guess on what the three losers were after.
Brock was correct as Team Rocket returned to the inside of their machine Zapdos and proceeded to steal the Light Stone. The machine Zapdos brought out two spinning discs that sliced the top of the tower off, making Thatcher, Plusle and Minun widen their eyes in shock. "Our lighthouse!" Thatcher called out as the sliced off part of the lighthouse crashed into the ground.
"We gotta stop them!" Ash exclaimed with narrowed eyes and gritted teeth at seeing Team Rocket destroy the sacred lighthouse. "But how? By the time we arrive, they'd probably have the Light Stone and be long gone. So how are we gonna stop them?" May questioned the Rainbow Hero, wondering how they'll stop Team Rocket when they're so far away.
Verity smirked as she brought out a Heal Ball with her right hand, while she held onto Piplup with her left hand. "Don't worry, I've got that covered". The Twinleaf Town girl told the younger female, getting everyone to look at her, before Verity looked at the Heal Ball and kissed it. "Come on out, Gardevoir!" Verity called out as she threw the Heal Ball into the air, which released the Psychic and Fairy-type Pokémon in front of the group.
This Gardevoir wasn't a normal one, it was a shiny Gardevoir. There wasn't much different between a normal and a shiny Gardevoir, only instead of green, a shiny Gardevoir had light blue and the fin-like horn was orange instead of red. "Gardevoir". The Psychic and Fairy-type said softly as she looked at her trainer.
"Gardevoir, Teleport. Teleport all of us to the top of that tower!" Verity commanded her Pokémon as she pointed at the top of the lighthouse with her left hand, now holding Piplup with her right hand. Gardevoir turned to look at the lighthouse for a few seconds, before she looked back at Verity. "Gardevoir!" The Psychic and Fairy-type cried out as she closed her eyes, before a multicolored glow surrounded everyone. The whole gang was then teleported by the Psychic and Fairy-type.
Next thing everybody knew, they appeared behind Alyssa at the top of the tower, who was looking up at the machine Zapdos, who had both the Light Stone and her Magnemite in two mechanical hands. "What the-Where'd the twerps come from?!" James called out from within the machine Zapdos, surprised at the sudden appearance of Ash and the others.
Alyssa turned around and was just as surprised as Team Rocket to see her brother, Ash and the others behind her. "Thatcher, everyone, how are you here?" Alyssa questioned in surprise that her brother and the others appeared out of nowhere. "It was thanks to Verity and her Gardevoir's Teleport". May answered the older female, pointing at the Psychic and Fairy-type Pokémon, who glared up at the machine Zapdos.
"Ahh, who cares about how they got up here!? All that matters is that we have the stone and a lighter!" Jessie called out from within the machine Zapdos, not caring about how Ash and the others appeared out of thin air. "Guess we'll get 'glowing". James joked, sounding amused by his own joke. "We won, hands down". Meowth added, convinced that they won.
"Oh yeah?" Sorrel questioned as he brought out a Dusk Ball with his right hand. "Houndoom, Fire Blast!" The Pokémon Professor in training called out as he threw the Dusk Ball, releasing the Fire and Dark-type. Houndoom cried out as it took in a deep breath, before it released a ball of yellow-orange fire from its mouth. The ball of fire turned into a 大-shaped flame as it headed towards the mechanical Zapdos.
"Ahhh, quickly dodge it!" Meowth cried out in panic as the three losers managed to dodge the Fire Blast, though barely. "Darn it!" Sorrel cursed at seeing his attack miss, while Houndoom landed in front of him, snarling at the machine. "Why'd we even dodge that? We could take it, couldn't we?" James questioned from within the machine Zapdos, wondering why they dodged the Fire Blast.
"This was built to withstand electrical attacks, not fire attacks!" Meowth answered the rich boy from within the machine Zapdos, explaining why they dodged. "Oh forget this, let's get out of here! We've got the Light Stone and an Electric-type!" Jessie screamed from within the machine Zapdos, not wanting to take any chances. "You know what? She's right, let's get out of here!" Meowth exclaimed in agreement, agreeing with Jessie's idea.
"Time to fly!" The three losers called out as the machine Zapdos turned around and began flying away. "Hey, you get back here!" Ash called out to Team Rocket with narrowed eyes. "Sorry, we can't hear you!" Jessie called out from within the machine Zapdos as it began to disappear from view. "But you haven't heard the last of us!" James commented as the machine Zapdos fully disappeared, with everyone watching.
"They're getting away! And this fog is covering their escape!" Brock informed with narrowed eyes, pointing out that the fog was covering for Team Rocket. "It'll be impossible to follow them". May said in concern, thinking that they won't be able to track Team Rocket down. "It's… all my fault". Thatcher said as he collapsed to his knees, getting Ash and Alyssa to look at him.
"If I would have just trained harder, we wouldn't have lost Magnemite". Thatcher said in guilt, feeling responsible for what happened. "Plu/ Min". Plusle and Minun said in concern for their trainer, wishing he wouldn't feel like he was responsible for what happened. "And… then the Light Stone wouldn't have gotten stolen either. Even the hero couldn't help. I thought the hero could do anything". Thatcher continued to speak, making Ash slightly narrow his eyes.
"Thatcher, there's no such thing as an unstoppable hero…" Ash told the young boy, getting Thatcher, Plusle and Minun's attention. "Everything won't go perfectly; it's natural for that to happen. But that doesn't mean you should give up, because it's not over yet. It is over if you give into despair, but if you keep on fighting, you can do anything". The Rainbow Hero continued as he closed his eyes and focused his aura.
Ash released a small aura wave that went past everyone, who didn't felt it, except for Lucario, who gasped in shock. In the Fighting and Steel-type's eyes, he saw a blue aura cover Ash's body as the Rainbow Hero focused. Ash saw the clouds in his mind, searching through them as he searched for Team Rocket. He continued to focus, before he finally found Team Rocket starting to land on solid ground, making Ash smirk as he opened his eyes. "…Follow me". Ash said as he turned around and began walking down the staircase of the tower.
Pikachu, Zoroark, Verity, Piplup and Gardevoir followed Ash straight away, while the others stayed still, surprised by Ash's sudden actions. Lucario, however, was getting Sorrel's attention by pulling on his left hand, getting his trainer to look at him. "What is it Lucario?" Sorrel questioned his partner Pokémon, wondering what it is that the Fighting and Steel-type was trying to tell him.
"Hhhrrraaa rrraaa". Lucario told his partner, telling him of the incredible aura he felt in Ash. Sorrel slightly widened his eyes as he understood what Lucario was trying to tell him. "What? Ash can use aura like you?" Sorrel questioned in surprise to hear that his sworn brother has the ability to use aura. Lucario nodded to his trainer, increasing Sorrel's surprise, before he narrowed his eyes.
"Come on guys, we can't let Team Rocket get away!" Sorrel exclaimed as he chased after his two best friends with Lucario and Houndoom right behind him. Eventually, everyone else followed the three friends with the Rainbow Hero leading the way. "But how can Ash know where Team Rocket is?" Thatcher questioned as the gang, along with the Pokémon were nearing the bottom of the stairs.
"It's because Ash has a special power, the power of aura". Sorrel answered the young boy, getting everyone behind him to look at his back in surprise. "Aura?" Alyssa questioned, having never heard of aura until now. "Aura is a special power surrounding everything, humans, Pokémon, anything. Ash somehow has the power to control his aura, and its allowing him to find Team Rocket". The Pokémon Professor in training explained to everyone about aura, using his knowledge about it.
Thatcher, Plusle, Minun, Alyssa, May, Max and Brock looked amazed at what they've learned from Sorrel, while Houndoom and Lucario were more focus staying by their trainer's side. "Amazing… the Legendary Hero is amazing". Thatcher said in awe at what he's learned about Ash, making Sorrel look over his left shoulder to look at the young boy. "Thatcher, Ash isn't the hero of your legend. He's the hero of another legend". Sorrel revealed to the young boy, making him, Plusle, Minun and Alyssa widen their eyes in surprise.
(Play Tales of Berseria Velvet's theme song)
Everyone at that moment made it out of the tower and began running through the forest. "Ash is known as the Rainbow Hero, a hero chosen by the Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh, and this legend is really important for the world". The Pokémon Professor in training continued to explain as he looked at the back of his sworn brother.
"The Rainbow Hero is the one destined to unite both humans and Pokémon together and create a new path to the future for both. It is also said that he will cross paths with the Pokémon of legend, forming bonds with each of them that will serve as the link for both humans and Pokémon to truly understand one another someday". Sorrel explained the legend of the Rainbow Hero to the two siblings and Electric-types.
Alyssa, Thatcher, Plusle and Minum all looked shocked at what they've learned of the Rainbow Hero. "Wow… I can't believe that Ash has such a responsibility". Alyssa said in disbelief as she looked at the 12-year-old boy who helped her brother. "Ash has lived with this legend for 2 years now, and he's not even half way close to completing it". The dark haired boy told Alyssa and Thatcher, noticing that Brock, May and Max have been staying silent for the whole conversation.
"How… how can Ash live with such a burden? I couldn't live with something like that". Thatcher questioned in concern, wondering how Ash can live with such a responsibility. Instead of Sorrel answering, it was Brock. "It's because Ash doesn't give up". The former Gym Leader answered with a proud smile, getting Alyssa and Thatcher to look at him.
"No matter what he faces, or what stands in his way, Ash never gives up, not even against the burden of being the Rainbow Hero. And he's not alone because he's got us and his Pokémon! And when he needs it, we'll help him!" Brock explained to the two siblings and Electric-types, much to their disbelief. May and Max smiled before they nodded in agreement to what Brock said. "Amazing… I can't believe that bonds like this actually exist". Alyssa said in disbelief at seeing the strong bonds that Ash has with his friends.
"Well believe it. No matter how heavy the burden of being the Rainbow Hero is, we'll always be there to help Ash carry it. Because that's what friends do". Sorrel told the two siblings, looking pleased by Brock's words. Unknown to them was that Ash, Verity, Pikachu and Piplup had heard everything, causing the four to smile at hearing their friends' words.
(Music end)
It was at that moment did everyone arrived at an open field, where they saw Team Rocket, out of the machine Zapdos, having a picnic to celebrate their so-called 'victory'. The three losers were sitting down together, while the machine Zapdos was next to them with the two robotic hands still holding Magnemite and the Light Stone. "There they are!" Verity called out as she pointed at Team Rocket with her right hand's index finger, while she held Piplup with her left hand.
Verity's shout got Team Rocket's attention as they looked in their direction, before they cried out in surprise at seeing Ash, Verity, Pikachu, Zoroak, Gardevoir, Sorrel, Lucario, Houndoom, Thatcher, Plusle, Minun, Alyssa, Max, May and Brock a few feet away from them. "Surprised to see us so soon?" Max questioned with a smirk on his face at seeing Team Rocket's shocked expressions.
"Now give us back the Light Stone and Magnemite!" Alyssa demanded with narrowed eyes, wanting her Pokémon and her village's secret treasure back. "Not a chance, missy!" Jessie exclaimed as she, Meowth and James shot up to their feet. "You're not really thinking of battling us, are you?" Brock questioned the three losers with an annoyed frown on his face.
"I've already beaten you guys two times today. What's gonna be different this time?" Ash questioned as he waved his right hand to the side. "Because this time, we're using our new Pokémon!" James answered as he brought out two Great Balls, while Jessie brought out two Luxury Balls, getting everyone curious. "New Pokémon?" Brock questioned in slight surprise to hear that Team Rocket has new Pokémon.
"Go!" Jessie and James called out as they threw the four devices, releasing the Pokémon inside of them. Jessie's two new Pokémon were Pokémon that Ash hasn't seen before. One of them resembled a full, dark green garbage bag with a knot at the top that acted like ears. It had oval-shaped eyes and large triangular teeth that resembled broken glass. Its arms that looked like trash spilling out of small tears in the bag with pink and blue objects protruding out of them. Its feet were dark green and stubby.
Jessie's second Pokémon is a small, humanoid Pokémon. A small tuft of hair sticked up from the top of its head, and it had two white, bow-shaped feelers on each side of its purple head, and a third bow-shaped feeler on its neck. It had ribbon-like feelers. It had two large blue eyes with three eyelashes on each and small red lips. Its torso is black with a white zigzagging line running horizontally through the middle. Its arms and legs were short and stubby with no visible digits.
One of James's was a Paras, but the other one was new. It was a bipedal, grayish-green Pokémon with pale, straight tusks protruding from the sides of its mouth. The back of its head was dark grayish-green with a tall, slightly curved horn. Large, dark grayish-green ovals surrounded its red eyes, and it had a short, rounded snout with large nostrils. A forest green collar marking encircled its neck. Its limbs and tail are short, with its forelimbs having three digits and its feet having two digits.
"What are those Pokémon?!" Max called out in surprise at seeing three Pokémon that he's never seen before. "They're Trubbish, Gothita and Axew. They're Pokémon from the Unova Region". Sorrel told Max, identifying the three unknown Pokémon before them. Curious, Ash took out his Pokédex to scan the new Pokémon.
First, he scanned Gothita. "Gothita, the Fixation Pokémon. Their ribbon like feelers increase their psychic power. They are always staring at something". The Pokédex told Ash about Gothita, before the Rainbow Hero scanned Trubbish next. "Trubbish, the Trash Bag Pokémon. The collection of garbage bags and industrial waste caused the chemical reaction that created this Pokémon". The device told the Rainbow Hero about the Poison-type, who raised an eyebrow.
Ash then scanned Paras, even though it wasn't needed. "Paras, the Mushroom Pokémon. Paras has parasitic mushrooms growing on its back called tochukaso. They row large by drawing nutrients from this Pokémon host. They are highly valued as a medicine for extending life". The device told Ash about the Bug and Grass-type. The Rainbow Hero then finally scanned Axew. "Axew the Tusk Pokémon. They mark their territory by leaving gashes in trees with their tusks. If a tusk breaks, a new one grows in quickly". The Pokédex told Ash about the Dragon-type, before the Rainbow Hero put the device away.
"Looks like Team Rocket have upped their game". The 12-year-old boy stated as Brock brought out his Fast Ball with his right hand. "I'll take care of these crooks, go Forretress!" The former Gym Leader cried out as he threw Fast Ball, releasing his Steel and Bug-type. "Forretress!" The female Steel and Bug-type cried out its name.
"Rapid Spin!" Brock commanded his Pokémon, who pulled its horns inside of her body, before it closed its shell and started spinning towards Team Rocket. "Gothita, Confusion!" Jessie commanded her new Pokémon, who obeyed its trainer. Gothita's eyes glowed pale red as a red glow surrounded its body.
Forretress glowed red as it stopped spinning in mid-air, much to Brock's surprise. "Paras, use Brick Break!" James commanded his Bug and Grass-type, who cried out its name as its left claw glowed, before Paras leaped and slammed its glowing claw into Forretress, sending the Bug and Steel-type flying back.
"Forretress no!" Brock called out in concern for his Bug and Steel-type, while Team Rocket started dancing in joy with paper fans. "We're gonna win~ We're gonna win~ We're gonna win~" The three singed at the same time, making Ash, Pikachu, Verity, Piplup, Sorrel and Lucario sweat drop.
"Forre…tress!" Fortress growled out as she recovered from Paras's Brick Break attack. "Forretress, use your Spikes attack!" Brock called out as he held out his right hand, which the Bug and Steel-type nodded to her trainer, before she tucked her horns into her body and closed her shell. "Oh no you don't! Axew, use Rock Tomb!" James commanded as he continued to wave his fan.
Axew created a red orb of energy between its hands, before the Dragon-type threw it into the air. The orb of energy then expanded and solidified into multiple large boulders that all fell down around Forretress, trapping it and stopping it from using Spikes. "Oh no!" The former Rock-type Gym Leader gasped in horror at seeing his Pokémon trapped by Rock Tomb.
"Now Trubbish, use Dark Pulse!" Jessie commanded in joy, still waving her hands around. "Trubbish!" The Poison-type cried out as it fired a beam of black and purple circles from its mouth at the rocks of Rock Tomb, creating an explosion when it made contact. "Forretress!" Brock called out in concern as smoke covered Forretress from view for ten seconds, before it cleared to reveal the rocks from Rock Tomb were gone and Forretress was lying down on the ground with swirls in its eyes.
"What do ya know? They actually beat Brock". Ash said in slight surprise to see Team Rocket defeat Brock, who ran over to his Pokémon. "Pikachu pi". Pikachu commented, also surprised that the three losers defeated the former Gym Leader. "It looks like those three took time to train their new Pokémon and even mastered teamwork". Sorrel commented with his arms crossed as Brock took Forretress into his arms, before returning the Bug and Steel-type to its Fast Ball.
"And look what their victory did to them". Verity said with an annoyed look on her face along with Piplup, getting Ash, Pikachu, Sorrel and Lucario to look at them for a moment, before they looked at Team Rocket. The three losers were dancing in joy still, only their new Pokémon had joined them, making Ash, Pikachu, Sorrel and Lucario frown in annoyance.
"Look at those guys. One win and they're celebrating like lunatics". Sorrel said as his right eyebrow was twitching from watching the three losers. "Do they always act like this when they win at something?" Verity asked her boyfriend, who nodded without facing her. "Pretty much". Ash answered his girlfriend as he continued to watch Team Rocket dance around in joy.
Finally, Team Rocket stopped dancing around and faced the gang. "We're on a row and nothing is gonna stop us! Gothita, use Shock Wave!" Jessie called out with a confident smile, holding out her right hand. "Yeah! Paras, X-Scissor!" James called out with a confident smirk, pointing forward with his right hand's index finger.
Light blue electricity surrounded Gothita's body, before it released a beam of light blue electricity from its feeler. Paras jumped into the air with both of its claws glowing light blue, before it crossed its claws in front of its body with a purple 'X'-like energy appearing in front of its claws.
(Play Pokémon Heroes of Hoenn)
"Houndoom, use Snarl!" Sorrel called out as he thrust his right hand out. "Rrraahhh!" The Fire and Dark-type roared out as it released multiple purple and black rings of energy from its mouth. Houndoom's Snarl cancelled both Paras's X-Scissor and Gothita's Shock Wave, and struck the two, sending them both to the ground in front of Jessie, James, Meowth, Axew and Trubbish.
Team Rocket cried out in surprise at seeing this, before Jessie acted. "Give them Sludge, Trubbish!" Jessie commanded her Poison-type, who cried out as it opened its mouth and spate out a ball of purple sludge at Houndoom. However, Lucario jumped in front of his friend and took the Sludge attack, which didn't affect him.
"Poison-type moves have no effect on a Steel-type like Lucario! Use Bone Rush!" Sorrel cried out as he swiped his right hand out to the side. Lucario held out its paws together, before he spread them apart, creating a light green bone of energy. Lucario then spun it around and slammed it into Trubbish, sending the Poison-type flying. "My Trubbish!" Jessie cried out as Trubbish landed on the ground with swirls in its eyes.
"Paras, use Metal Claw!" James commanded with narrowed eyes. "Paras!" The Bug and Grass-type cried out as its claws turned into metal, before it charged at Lucario, but Verity wouldn't allow that. "It's your turn now Piplup! Drill Peck!" The brown haired girl cried out as she tossed Piplup into the battle.
"Piplup pi!" The Water-type cried out as her beak started glowing white, before she spun around like a drill and landed a direct hit on Paras, making the Bug and Grass-type cry out as the force of the attack send him to the ground. "Don't let that twerp and her Piplup get away with that! Axew, use Dragon Claw!" The rich boy commanded his Dragon-type, pointing at Piplup with his right hand's index fingers.
"Axew!" The Dragon-type cried out as green energy surrounded its claws, before it charged at Piplup, who had stopped spinning with her beak back to normal. "Gardevior!" Verity called out with a confident smile, which the Psychic and Fairy-type knew what her mistress wanted her to do.
Gardevoir disappeared from next to Verity and reappeared in front of Piplup as Axew slashed her with Dragon Claw, but the attack had no effect on the Psychic and Fairy-type. "Sorry, but Dragon-type moves have no effect on a Fairy-type like Gardevoir. Now Gardevoir, Draining Kiss!" Verity exclaimed with a confident smirk on her face. Gardevoir floated over to Axew and gave it a kiss on the cheek, much to the Dragon-type's shock. Axew started to glow red, before a light yellow orb of energy flew out and was absorbed into Gardevoir, while the Dragon-type collapsed on its back with swirls in its eyes.
"Oh no…!" James said in horror, before he brought out his two Great Balls and recalled his defeated Pokémon. "Gothita, Shadow Ball!" Jessie called out with her teeth gritted against each other. "Gothita!" The Psychic-type cried out as she created a ball of darkness, before she fired it at Ash, Pikachu and Zoroark.
"Show them a real Shadow Ball, Zoroark!" Ash called out with a grin on his face, making the female Dark-type smirk. "Rrraaahhh!" The shiny Pokémon cried out as she created her own Shadow Ball between her claws, only it was twice the size of Gothita's Shadow Ball, before she fired it.
The two Shadow Balls made contact for a moment, before Zoroark's Shadow Ball pushed right through and made contact with Gothita, landing a direct hit and knocking the Psychic-type out. "Gothita…" The Psychic-type moaned out as she landed on her back with swirls in her eyes. Jessie gasped at seeing this, before she returned both Gothita and Trubbish to their Luxury Balls.
"Wow, look at them go!" Max exclaimed in awe as he, May, Alyssa, Thatcher, Pusle, Minun and Brock watched the three old friends deal with Team Rocket. "When those three work together, there's nothing they can't do". May said in amazement as she continued to watch Ash, Sorrel and Verity take care of business. Thatcher watched in awe as he could see the strong bond Ash, Verity, Sorrel and their Pokémon had.
"Lucario, go free Magnemite and the Light Stone!" Sorrel told his trusted partner, who nodded before he leaped and destroyed the metal hands holding the Light Stone and Magnemite with his Bone Rush stick, making Team Rocket cry out in surprise. Lucario's Bone Rush disappeared as the Fighting and Steel-type grabbed the Light Stone, before he leaped away while Magnemite floated to its trainer.
"Magnemite!" Alyssa called out in relief, before she hugged her Steel and Electric-type, who was just as happy as its trainer was. "We're not through yet, into the mechanical Zapdos!" Meowth exclaimed as he held up his right claw, before he, Jessie and James jumped back into their machine Zapdos.
The machine flew into the sky with everyone watching it, before Ash looked over his shoulder to look at Thatcher. "Hey Thatcher, mind lending a hand?" The Rainbow Hero asked his friend, getting the young boy to widen his eyes in surprise. Thatcher looked at Pusle and Minun for a moment, before he looked back at Ash and nodded. "I'm ready Ash!" The young boy exclaimed, making the Rainbow Hero smirk.
"Pusle and Minun, use Helping Hand on Pikachu". Thatcher told his two Electric-types, which the two nodded to their trainer. The two cried out as light blue electricity came out of them and transferred over to Pikachu, causing a yellow glow to surround the Electric-type's body. "Thanks for the power up, now Pikachu Thunderbolt!" Ash cried out with a confident smirk on his face. "Pikachu!" The Electric-type cried out as he unleashed a powerful Thunderbolt attack.
The Thunderbolt made contact with the machine Zapdos, managing to override its electrical system and shock the whole thing, including Jessie, James and Meowth inside. "But how?!" The three losers questioned in surprise as they experienced their third shocking for the day. The machine Zapdos began to fall to the ground with the three screaming. "This thing is suppose to be electricity proof!" Jessie called out from her seat with wide eyes, having thought they'd be electric free this time.
"Luckily the guy said I could bring it back if there was a problem!" Meowth said from his seat, also having wide eyes at what's happening. "Oh goody". James remarked as the machine Zapdos crashed into the ground a few feet away from everyone. "Okay, now use Helping Hand on each other guys". Thatcher told his two electric-types, who faced each other as they transferred electricity to each other. The electricity surrounded the two as they powered each other up.
"Awesome". Ash said with an impressed smile as he watched Thatcher, Plusle and Minun take over the battle. "He has potential, a lot of it". Sorrel stated, looking just as impressed as Ash with Houndoom and Lucario besides him. "Plusle, Minun, use Spark attack!" Thatcher commanded as he pointed forward with his right hand's index finger.
Pusle and Minun's tails connected, before the two started charging at Team Rocket with blue electricity surrounding them. "Incoming!" Jessie called out in panic at seeing the two Electric-types coming towards them. "Meowth, what should we do?!" James questioned the Normal-type with wide eyes. "Get our money back!" Meowth answered the blue haired male, looking just as freaked out as Jessie. "Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet cried out as he appeared behind the three losers.
Plusle and Minun made contact with the machine Zapdos, making it explode on contact and blasting Team Rocket into the air. "LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!/ Wobbuffet!" The three losers and Wobbuffet cried out as they disappeared from sight, a twinkle sparkling where they disappeared to.
(Music end)
"Plu/ Min". The two Electric-types said as they landed in front of Thatcher, who looked up at where Team Rocket disappeared too. "You did it Thatcher, well done". Alyssa praised her younger brother as she and the others walked up to the young boy, who turned around to face them. "You were great out there". Ash told his 'disciple' with a proud smile, making Thatcher blush in embarrassment.
"Thanks. But you know, while all that was going on, I hardly knew what I was doing". Thatcher replied as he rubbed the back of his head with his right hand. "You still did it". Brock stated with a smile on his face. "You and your Pokémon were alright and in sync". May told the young boy with an impressed smile on her face at seeing the teamwork of Thatcher, Plusle and Minun.
"Yeah. Plusle and Minun make a really great combination, huh". Max said with a smile, thinking that Pusle and Minun together make a great team. "Pika pika/ Rrraaa/ Piplup". Pikachu, Lucario and Piplup said in agreement with Pikachu riding on Ash's shoulder, while Piplup was back in Verity's arms.
"Hey, thanks you guys. Cool!" Thatcher thanked everyone for their words with an excited look, before he turned around to face Plusle and Minun. "As for you, we'll just keep working at this, okay". Thatcher told his two Electric-types, who smiled in excitement. "Plu/ Min". Plusle and Minun said in joy that their trainer finally had confidence in himself.
(Later)
The sun was setting for the day with Ash, Pikachu, Lucario, Sorrel, Verity, Piplup, Max, May and Brock standing in front of Thatcher, Plusle, Minun and Alyssa, saying goodbye. After the battle with Team Rocket, Ash, Sorrel, Alyssa and Verity returned their Pokémon, before they all went and returned the Light Stone to the lighthouse. With the Light Stone returned, it was time for Ash and the gang to leave and continue their journey.
"Ash, since my Pokémon and I are gonna keep on training and getting stronger, will you battle us someday? Please?" Thatcher asked the Rainbow Hero, who smirked at the younger male, before he gave the young boy the thumbs up with his right hand.
"Sure, you bet I will". Ash replied to Thatcher, accepting his challenge to battle someday. "Pika pika". Pikachu said from his spot on the Rainbow Hero's right shoulder. "That would be great master, thanks". Thatcher thanked his now named 'master', who rubbed the back of his head with his right hand.
"Master huh? Isn't that a bit much?" The 12-year-old questioned with a grin on his face. "Yeah. Modelling yourself after Ash isn't the best idea". May teased with a grin on her face, but Thatcher still kept smiling. "No way. Ash, I consider you my hero and master". Thatcher told the Rainbow Hero, who smiled at the young boy as he lowered his right hand.
"Plu pluple/ Min min min". Plusle and Minun said from in front of their trainer, bidding the Rainbow Hero and his friends' goodbye. Brock went and took Alyssa's hands into his own, slightly surprising her. "And you Alyssa, I declare you the master of my heart". Brock said to Alyssa in a lovesick tone, who was a bit too nervous to reply to him. Like last time, Chatot came out and used Peck on his trainer, sending him to the ground with Alyssa looking surprised at witnessing this a second time.
Ash, Pikachu, Verity, Piplup, May, Max, Sorrel and Lucario watched in amusement as Chatot perched itself on its trainer's head, before Ash turned to face Alyssa, Thatcher, Pusle and Minun. "Well, it's time for us to hit the road". Ash said with a smile, which Verity nodded in agreement. "Yeah". The Twinleaf Town girl said as she, Ash, Max, May and Sorrel began walking off, waving a hand in goodbye. Lucario grabbed onto Brock's right leg and started pulling him as he walked besides his trainer. "Thank you for everything!" Alyssa thanked the gang as she and her little brother waved goodbye to them. "We'll see you later". Thatcher said as he waved his left hand with even Pusle and Minun waving goodbye.
Ash, May, Max, Verity, Pikachu, Piplup, Lucario, Sorrel, Chatot and a recovered Brock waved goodbye once more, before they faced forward towards the setting sun to continued their journey.
As you can see, I'm gonna have everyone be a bit stronger than the anime, like how Team Rocket beat Brock easily. I might even have Brock get Mega Evolution with his Mudkip instead of Steelix at first. I'm also thinking of having Misty get Mega Evolution early and show it when she reunites with Ash and the others. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter because the next one will take some time to finish, plus the next story I'm updating is my 5D's-V story.
See ya all later.
