CHAPTER 13
Sammy ended up bringing up the situation with Dez, and she couldn't believe her ears. Despite being oblivious to the cult like hold Sammy & Jacob had on each other, she still knew such a thing was inhumane, so she suggested they do something a little less inhumane (but not by much) by taking him to a retirement home, and thus they did. It also seemed that after getting back to work, she repressed the events that happened prior pretty quickly. She was never one to connect the dots in an elongated span of time, luckily for Jacob.
Although recording seemed to go back to normal again for mostly everyone back at the studio, Sammy couldn't shake off the fact there was no dialogue in any of the skits they were doing, and if there were, the skits were very limited in length so Jacob wouldn't have to write much. The dialogue was one of Sammy's favorite things about the productions, so he figured it was something he should confront Jacob about. Of course, his interest in Jacob's writings were partially drawn from his immense fascination in Jacob in general, reading his words was almost the mental equivalent of them having a passionate conversation with each other, getting to read each other and really connect, their hold on each other only getting stronger from there, and if it weren't clear already, these productions had only fastened that knot between them, one that was hard to back out of, like what happens when you tie a thread.
Sammy knocked on the door of Jacob's office.
"Come in!" Said Jacob from the inside.
Sammy did such and closed the door behind him. "Jacob, we really need to talk about these recent films, I-"
"Is there a problem, Samuel?" Jacob stood up and looked at him with genuine concern.
"Well, yeah, you see, I've been sort of bummed out that there hasn't been a lot of dialogue these past few films. Isn't there at least one you could write that's a little bit longer? Maybe a minute or so?"
Jacob stared at Sammy for a second, mouth open in contemplation. He looked to the wall and swallowed emotionless, then turned back to Sammy to say "Sammy, oh Sammy, I just haven't been having it lately. I'm sure you'll understand when I tell you, when I tell you about these other artists who are actually more creative than me! Can you believe it?! And they're all just like each other too!"
Sammy only vaguely understood at first. "Um, could you elaborate a little more briefly?"
Jacob exhaled through his nose. "All these actually creative artists, I don't understand it, how can they be so talented when they're too busy being so, so..."
Sammy started to pick up what Jacob was laying down. "...Gay?"
"YES!" Jacob stood up in exclamation, "The GAYS! Ooh, I HATE them! They've ALWAYS been the source of my problems – hell, that's how that whole big mess started in the first place!"
"Yeesh! I know how you feel!" Sammy clenched his fists, "Why couldn't I just go shoot the gay people?!"
"Don't get too ahead of yourself Sammy, that's genocide! We don't have enough government connections to do that sort of thing freely, that's why I only had you take out the people that work with us. There sure was a variety working with us.."
"Dammit, you're right. God, I hate gay people – Gasp!" An idea came to Sammy, "What if you made a skit about how gay people suck at art solely for the fact it's different than yours, and that it doesn't matter whether they have a sense of art theory or not!"
"Fantastic Sammy! But..Who will be the gay character?"
"Rodney, of course! Just don't tell him the TRUE meaning of it!"
"You're a genius! Hmm, what should we tell him..."
"Aha! Tell him, it's a metaphor for you not conforming to professional standards!"
"Sammy you son of a gun! C'mere-" Jacob leaned over and gave Sammy a kiss on the cheek, "I'll get right to writing it! I'll give you a raise later!"
"Yay!"
From there, Jacob went on to write his newest skit, "Sammy's Self Portrait", his strongest example of his personal projection onto Sammy, second to that being the skit where he turned a wet dream he had about Sammy into something Dez says to Sammy, as shown in 'Dez's Confession' (Such specifics makes you wonder if it really is Jacob's confession, heh.."
