Eddie had been done eating for a while. He also noted Nana's head was down. He bumped her. "Nana?"
"Huh?" she asked waking up.
"I think it's time to go get some sleep. You can come back and eat here again," Eddie offered.
"OK," she agreed, then had one last mouthful before she got up.
Eddie got Nana to leave the plates in place, the waitress would pick them up. Nana thought it was odd, but sleepily nodded and left them.
Eddie got Nana to their hotel room. Nana fell face down on the bed and was out. Not wanting her to sleep in her clothes, Eddie coaxed her to turn over and undressed her. He got her dress above her hips that sat her up to slide it up and off.
"Sweetie, we have to get undressed." he told her.
Nana opened her eye partially and grinned. She mumbled, "Mmm, yes, cuddle with Nana."
Eddie got her down to her underwear He got himself undressed and covered them up. Nana hugged him and snored. She was out for the night.
.
Nana woke up before the sun was up. Going to the bathroom, she did her morning business and took a shower. Alone in the shower, she missed Eddie in here with her. Showering together was fun. When she was done, she dried off then checked on Eddie. He was sprawled out on his back, asleep.
Hehe, hehe.
Nana moved the covers back and noted Eddie was good and hard. YES! Peeling his underwear back it was easy to stroke it a few times, she sat on him. She wondered briefly if she should wake him up first. On second thought Eddie really liked this, so isn't that a good way to wake up?
Eddie moaned and turn his head as Nana slowly rode him. He let out a moan. Yes, Eddie liked this.
He then grimaced and woke up. He stared at Nana and announced, "Nana, I gotta pee, bad!"
Nana shot up off him with an audible pop. Landing beside the bed she frowned and pointed at him. "That does not go up there!" she scolded.
"I know," Eddie groaned as he got up and ran for the bathroom.
Nana sighed. A perfect morning ruined.
.
When Eddie went to see his boss and do the interview, Nana wanted to come with him. Since Nana was a stranger in NY, and he knew she'd be bored sitting on the hotel room by herself, he took her with him. He made sure she had her hat on and made her promise not to move anything except with the hands everyone could see.
Walking down the street, Nana's attention was up on the lighted billboards that were on nearly every building. "Eddie, this is like Tokyo!"
"It is, Nana. I think every big city had those signs all over the place."
Nana then pointed to the traffic. "Eddie, everyone's on the wrong side of the road!"
"We drive on the right side here, Nana, not the left," Eddie explained.
"But if this city is different from everyone else, won't they get into accidents?"
"The whole country drives on the right."
"That's even worse! Everyone's going to have accidents!" Nana cried.
Eddie chuckled with Vemon.
Coming to the tall Times/Bugle building, Eddie led Nana in. Inside the foyer that went four stories up, Nana pointed up and said, "There's a walkway way up there!"
"Yes, the third floor walkway. We're going to be using it. Are you OK with that, Nana?" Eddie asked.
"Nana is, let's go!"
Taking the elevator up to the 3rd floor, Eddie stopped by the newsroom to let them know he was here, then took Nana onto the 'sky walk' over to the executive offices. Partway over, Eddie saw Mr. Jamison, half a cigar hanging out of his mouth, and walking towards him with Peter.
Nana saw them too. "Hi Peter!" she cried and waved.
Peter glanced at her and waved back, then said, "Mr. Jamison, these are new photos."
"Lemme look," he grumbled and snapped them out of Peter's hands. He looked each one, and tossed it aside as he mumbled, "Crap …. Crap… Crap… Ok this one I might be able to use. Look Parker, I want to ID this guy! Can't you catch him where he lives or at least without that hood on?"
"I get what I can, Mr. Jamison," Peter stated. "It's not easy getting any pictures of him."
Shifting to look ahead, Mr. Jamison said, "Hey Brock, glad you made it!" He then eyed Nana. "Is this the little girl you are trying to coax into marriage?"
Nana's fists balled. "It's not like that!" Nana announce. "Nana wants to marry Eddie, but Eddie can't because of YOU!"
"Nana, now isn't the time…" Eddie started. Nana interrupted him.
"It is!" Nana stated. "Boss let's Eddie Marry Nana, or else!"
Mr. Jamison scowled at her. "Brock, shut this little….AHHH"
Mr. Jamison dove over the side of the walkway. Instead of falling, he hung in the air just off the walkway.
Nana stood in front of him and pointed a finger at him. "If you don't let Eddie Marry Nana, Nana will drop you so Eddie can get a new boss!" she said firmly.
"Nana, what are you doing?' Eddie cried.
"Nana, please don't drop him!" Peter agreed, wide eyed.
Nana announced, "Eddie can marry Nana and keep his job, or Mr. Boss is going to kiss the floor below VERY HARD!"
"Stop it!" Mr. Jamison cried, loosing his cigar. "Look, laws are laws! You are too young to marry anyone!"
"Nana is NOT!" Nana yelled.
Fearing Nana was going to drop him, Peter said, "How about a compromise? Say, if Nana does something for Mr. Jamison, Mr. Jamison will let Nana marry Eddie."
"That is an idea," Eddie agreed. He hated to do it in public, he and Venom were ready to catch Mr. Jamison if Nana let him go.
It was then Mr. Jamison looked up and saw he was being held by nothing. "How are you doing that?" he asked in a hard tone.
"Nana just does. Is Mr. Boss going to let Eddie marry Nana, or does Nana drop him?"
Mr. Jamison looked at Parker, who looked scared. "Nana are you willing to do something for me so you can Marry Eddie?" he asked.
"What does Mr. Boss want?" Nana asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I want a picture of Spiderman! Not a far away shot, but one up close with no mask so we can see who he is," Mr. Jamison stated. "You get me that, and you can marry Brock here … in Japan, not here. I'll even pay for the wedding."
Mr. Jamison flew back over the railing and onto his feet. He stumbled bit.
"Mr. Boss will do that?" Nana asked hopefully.
"I will!" Mr. Jamison stated.
"Yay!" Nana cried and bounced up and down with her arms in the air. She turned to Eddie and said, "Kaede was right! She told Nana to hang Mr. Boss out a window, but Nana thinks this walkway was good enough. It worked!" she cheered.
"You shouldn't have done that," Eddie said in a low voice as he rubbed his head.
Peter stood gaping at Nana.
Nana then turned to him. "Peter! Can you take pictures for Nana?"
"He can," Mr. Jamison stated. "Parker, I'll give you a hundred bucks a day to be a photographer for Nana."
"I…. ahh," Peter stuttered.
"Hundred dollar bonus for every GOOD picture identifying him you get," Jamison added.
Peter was thinking of a way to decline, and his head nodded by itself.
"Great!" Mr. Jamison said happily. "OK, kids get to work. Brock, you got an interview to give, let's go!"
"I need to watch out for Nana," Eddie said.
"Parker can do that, he knows the city. Come on, time is money."
Peter face planted.
"It'll be fine, Peter," Nana coaxed. "You're getting paid more, right, and Nana gets to be married like Nana wants."
"Yeah," Peter agreed weakly. He had no idea how to do this and not give himself away.
"Hey Peter?" Nana asked meekly. "What does this man -spider look like? Is it a guy with four arms and four legs? Or a spider that looks like a man?"
"I'll show you a picture," Peter said and got one Mr. Jamison threw down. He gave it to Nana.
Nana looked at the picture and asked, "Where is he? All Nana sees is a guy in a red and blue body suit."
"Yeah, that's him. See, he's high above the street. Look closely, he's swinging on a spider thread. That's how he gets around."
Nana frowned. "He must make lots of cob webs. Nana hates cleaning those up."
"He takes care of those. See, Spiderman is a good guy, he goes after criminals," Peter explained.
"He's like Venom," Nana said. "Does he eat the bad guys too?"
"No, Spiderman doesn't eat the bad guys. He turns them over to police," Peter told her.
Nana frowned. "If he doesn't eat them, why catch them?"
"So they will go to jail and stop bothering people. Nana, it's not right to eat people."
Nana put a finger to her lip. "Nana doesn't know about that. There are very few bad people in Kamakura now, because they know if Venom catches them, they'll be eaten. Even if Kaede does kill them first."
"Nana people who go to jail can see their errors. If they are killed, they never get a chance to learn what not to do," Peter insisted.
"But they won't bother anyone any more if they are eaten," Nana countered.
Eddie went for his interview. Nana and Peter left, Nana searching buildings for spider web strings.
.
Eddie's interview went well. He showed a picture of Venom leaping buildings, explained what a 'Yokai' was, and showed the footage of people he'd talked to. After the interview, he agreed to stay in New York until Nana found and photographed Spiderman. The news agency picked up his hotel expenses.
.
Eddie found himself walking around the city with Nana and Peter, looking for Spiderman. After three days of walking around the city and not finding a swinging man-spider anywhere, Nana was beginning to lose her happy mood.
"He's got to be somewhere!" Nana said in a huff.
"We do have to go home in four more days," Eddie reminded her.
"But Nana wants to get married and Nana can't unless Nana finds the man-spider!" Nana complained.
"Nana we will get married eventually, OK?" Eddie offered.
"Nana knows, but Nana doesn't want to wait."
Peter grinned at her. "Nana I'm sure everything will work out," he said. Then he felt a tingle. It came from down a side street just ahead. With Nana this close and knowing what she could do, he was nervous. If someone was in trouble though, he had to try. He faded back then ducked into the alley they were passing.
.
"Nana, "If we have to wait until you finish school, that may be for the best," Eddie said and put an arm around her.
Nana whined and leaned into Eddie. "But Nana wants to go on a sweet moon with Eddie."
"You mean a honeymoon?"
"Yes, one of those."
Coming to the next street corner they heard shouting from down the side street. They looked to see Spiderman web a man up beside a building. A gun was on the ground, a cop was running over.
"There he is!" Nana cried and ran after him.
Spiderman saw Nana coming and quickly shot out another web string to swing away.
Nana ran hard, catching up. Spiderman shot out another web to swing to the side and away faster. Nana jumped up on a truck then catapulted herself in the air behind him.
He was right in front of her. Desperate, Nana reached out and grabbed his waistband to keep him from getting away. Spiderman changed direction at the same time. He swung away.
With a hard jerk, his pants peeled off, Nana was still holding them as she fell. The extra tension, then release shot Spiderman up over a roof. Nana let out a yelp and slowed herself down before she hit the sidewalk. She looked up, but the Man-spider was gone. "Ohhhh!" she whined in frustration.
Eddie came around the corner. "Nana?" he called out. He then saw Nana frowning at the sky. He ran over to her.
Casting Eddie a sad look, Nana held up the pants and asked, "Will these count?"
Eddie consoled Nana as they walked to lunch, Nana still holding the spider-pants.
.
Peter lost Nana, and nearly crashed through a glass roof, but he did manage to avoid her until he got back to his clothes he left on the other roof. Going back down to street level, he tried to find Eddie and Nana. That was the closet he'd ever come to being exposed. Well, part of him HAD been exposed. It was a good thing she hadn't gripped his underwear too.
Nana was much faster than he thought she was. She really jumped up high too. He was at a third story level when she grabbed him and stripped his pants off. Nana was an innocent, so he really didn't want to get in a fight with her. It was best he didn't play Spiderman until she was headed back home.
Coming up on a hot dog cart, he saw Eddie and Nana getting chill dogs, his Spiderman pants draped over the crook of her arm.
Faking ignorance, he went up to them. "Hey guys, where'd you go?" he asked. "I stopped to look in a shop, and you were gone."
Nana frowned and grumbled, "Nana missed! Nana had him but his pants came off and Nana fell down."
"Didn't get hurt, did you?" Peter asked.
"Nana's OK," Nana said then bit into her chili dog.
"If those are Spiderman's pants, maybe you can use those to catch him?" Peter asked.
Nana looked at him. "How?"
"I'm sure he wants his pants back," Peter said firmly. "Since he doesn't have any now … then when he finds them, he'll put them back on, right?"
Nana nodded.
"So we find a good place to hang his pants, and when he comes to get them, then you can grab him!" Peter stated.
Nana smiled. She turned to Eddie. "That's a great idea, isn't it, Eddie?"
Eddie winced. "Nana, Spiderman isn't a bad guy, and one or both of you could have gotten hurt. You should let it go."
"But if Nana can get a close picture of the man-spider, then Eddie and Nana can get married!" Nana cried.
"Nana, do you have a camera?" Eddie asked.
"No, but Peter does," Nana said.
"I'll help," Peter assured them.
'We need to watch those two,' Venom thought.
'Yeah we do before someone gets hurt' Eddie agreed.
.
Peter found the perfect place to set their Spiderman trap. Up on a landing of an apartment building fire escape, Peter had Nana hang the pants over the rail and explained, "You know Spiderman likes high places, right. So with his pants up here, there's a good chance he will see them. Nana stays here and watches the pants and grabs him. I'll go up on the roof to get his picture when Nana exposes his face."
Nana's face beamed at the perfect plan. Venom coaxed Eddie to sneak up on the roof behind Peter so they could watch what happened.
Night fell and they got in position. Eddie snuck up and slid behind the roof access shack, watching Peter.
'He doesn't have his camera out' Eddie thought.
'No, he's going to try to grab his pants and get away. This should be entertaining,' Venom thought back.
'huh?'
'Just watch.'
Nana wanted to be sure she caught the man-spider as soon as he appeared, so she kept a vector on the pants. She knew now he used his web things to move around, so if she cut them, then he wasn't going to get away. No matter how fast or sneaky the man-spider was, Nana was going to catch him this time!
Thwip
Nana saw the spider thread shot down and stick onto the pants. Nana jumped out the window and shot herself up and the pants rose. She made the roof as the pants did and saw Peter staring at her with a shocked look as she stared at him. He quickly shot a web from the other hand onto a pole to pull himself away and grabbed his pants. Nana had a hold of his pants too.
He pulled Nana and his pants onto the roof. Seeing the other web, Nana reached far out and cut it, and rammed into Peter's face chest first. They tumbled and rolled on the roof, getting tangled up in the webbing. Peter tried to shoot another web, hitting the edge of the roof, Nana cut that. They rolled a little more, bound by the webbing.
A black tentacle shot out and stopped them before they rolled off the roof. Peter and Nana struggled but the were wrapped up tight in spider web.
HA HA HA HA HA!
The eye Peter could see with the eye that wasn't covered by Nana's boob showed Venom standing bent partially over, a hand on one knee as he pointed at them and laughed. Nana also looked at Venom.
Nana frowned. "Venom, it's not funny. Nana can't move!"
HA HA HA, you can't PAY for entertainment like this!" Venom announced.
"Help Nana!" Nana cried.
Still chuckling, Venom swiped and cut the webbing holding them together. "Nana, won't Eddie get jealous?" Venom asked and chuckled again. He helped her and Peter up.
Waving a claw in a no-no gesture at Peter, Venom said, "That's not how you get a girlfriend." then laughed again.
Peter blushed as he backed up. "I didn't mean for that to happen," he said defensively.
Nana then realized, "Peter, you're the Man-spider?"
Now that they weren't going to roll off the roof, Venom retracted. Eddie staggered a bit, then held up his hands and asked, "Please! Can we now stop this finding Spiderman thing before one of BOTH of you end up in the hospital?"
"Eddie, you're…" Peter stuttered.
"Yes, we're Venom, you're Spiderman, and it's time to stop this silly shit," Eddie stated. "Nana, I have to hide, so does Peter. If you expose him for Jamison, that he can't go after bad guys any more, but people will be after him!"
"What about getting married?" Nana asked weakly.
"We will," Eddie said firmly, "Once you graduate school, as we have already planned." he paused and said to no one, "And NO I'm got mad at Nana for trying to make out with Peter!" Grabbing his head, he grumbled, "Didn't mean to say that out loud."
"Ohhh!" Nana whined.
"Eddie's right," Peter said. "Nana, if Jamison finds out who I am, than I won't be able to help people any more."
Nan frowned and held up Peter's spider pants that had webbing all over them. "Here's you spider-pants."
"Thank you, Nana."
Eddie jerked, Venom's head appeared over his shoulder. "Let's go eat, I'm Hungry!"
"You're always hungry!" Eddie complained.
"Then feed me better!" Venom stated, then retracted, making Eddie jerk again.
Eddie let out a huff and said, "Come on, let's go get some food."
"The Chinese place!" Nana cheered.
.
The trio went down to eat Chinese food. Nana of course got two plates so she could feed Venom his seafood, and got her own and the General's chicken and her goo-pan stuff.
Sitting down across from Nana, one seat down from Eddie, this time Peter saw it as Nana tapped Eddie's back with the seafood plate and Venom appeared briefly out of Eddie's back to inhale it.
Firmly, Peter said, "We can't tell Jamison anything bout today."
"No, we can't," Eddie agreed. "We pretend we didn't see a thing."
Nana paused eating to ask, "Peter, why does Mr. Jamison hate the man spider? He's a good guy, right?"
Peter shook his head. "I'm not sure. At times, I think it's just to sell more papers and get the news scoop of being the one who exposes Spiderman."
Eddie pointed his fork at him. "I bet that's exactly the reason."
Nana frowned. "That's not fair," she said in a grumble.
"Greedy people don't care about others, Nana," Pete said firmly.
"How would Mr. Jamison feel if someone did that to him?" Nana asked.
Eddie chuckled. "Venom agrees, THAT would be a riot."
Pete grinned too. They looked at each other.
"Can we do that?" Nana asked.
Eddie grinned wider. "Won't know unless we try. I'd say Jamison isn't that much bigger than you, Peter."
"The suit does have some stretch to it," Peter said vacantly.
"A little photoshopping, and it will work. Let's do some planning."
.
Mr. Jamison was headed for a meeting when he saw Nana run up to him. Holding up the spider-pants, Nana announced, "He slipped away on Nana, but Nana will get him next time!" She then bolted away.
The thought of Spiderman swinging between buildings in his underwear, made Jamison chuckle. It put him in a good mood for the rest of the day. He was sure Nana would get Spiderman's picture. When she did, he wanted it on the front page of the paper, pronto, so he called the printing room to be sure Nana could take it straight in and get Spiderman's picture out as fast as possible.
The next day, Nana didn't return yet, but with the ability she showed him, Jamison was sure he'd have Spiderman's picture soon. He finished his day, stopped by his favorite bar and had a few drinks, then went home and wait for his scoop to come in.
Coming to his suite up on the fifth floor on Park Ave. west, he saw Eddie Brock waiting for him. Seeing him coming, Eddie beamed, "She got him! Just a few moments ago, right outside. Wanna see him first hand?"
"I do!" Jamison beamed.
"Then come out on the balcony," Eddie coaxed with a big smile.
Excited on the prospect of seeing Spiderman, unmasked and in person, Jamison fumbled with his keys and dropped them.
"I'll get it," Eddie offered and unlocked and opened his door. "Go!"
Jamison ran in, threw his briefcase down and ran to the balcony. Standing on the rail was Nana. "Where is he?" he asked eagerly.
His hands then flew up in the air and his shirt and undershirt was pulled off by nothing. Another top was dropped down on him, then he was lifted up. "What?" he cried.
His shoes and pants were then all but tore off him and looking down, he saw black finger things pull the Spider pants on him.
Nana got his picture. Jamison gapped at her. "I got it!" she cried happily and jumped down.
In shock, Jamison was pulled back inside, the shirt and pants were stripped off him, then he was bound up, hands and feet. Something huge and black jumped off the balcony rail. As it dropped, he saw it had huge teeth.
"What was that?" he cried. "Brock, where are you?" he yelled. No one answered. "BROCK! Get in here, I need help!"
He looked around. He was alone. Seeing part of the kitchen from where he lay in his underwear, he saw a sharp knife driven in head high on his door.
For a while, he rolled around and called for help. He couldn't reach a phone, and the only way he saw to free himself was to get to that knife. "God Damnit!" he spat, and rolled his way to the kitchen. A bench had been put in his way.
It was hard, and took time to move the bench with kicks so he could get past it. He then had to wiggle and move to inchworm his way further. It was past midnight by the time he reached the door. Past One by the time he managed to stand up beside the door and use his teeth to work the knife free. Quarter til three before he managed to wiggle around and cut himself loose.
Cursing and exhausted, Jamison went to bed and made sure his alarm was set at 5. He could still get a little sleep. He plopped down in bed, not realizing the time on his alarm was set for 5 PM, not 5 AM.
At 5:30 AM, the press was printing out exactly what Jamison had ordered. Him, standing on his balcony with a spider suit on wearing a look of shock on his face. Below was the caption, 'We finally got a picture of the Spiderman!'. The papers were distributed as normal.
Mr. Morgan, the head manager/ owner of the complex was not happy. First, was Mr. Jamison's face wearing a Spiderman costume. Then, man hadn't come in. When Jamison rushed in at two in the afternoon, Morgan showed him the picture and stated, "You're fired."
.
"Your suit isn't stretched out now, is it?" Eddie asked as Peter went with him and Nana to the bus station to see them off.
Peter grinned. "Not much, the fabric should recover with a washing, and I do want to wash it before I put it back on."
"Yes, his slime might be on it," Nana said.
Peter grinned. "I can't believe you guys did that. Thanks. That should take some pressure off me."
"It was for a good cause," Eddie assured him. He told Nana, "This morning when you went down to make sure the printers had that photo, I saw Mr. Morgan, who owns the place. He assured me it's fine if I marry a Japanese girl." Holding up a finger, he added, "So long as you're 18 or over by the time we get back here to the states."
Nana gaped briefly, then jumped up to hug him with her arms and legs. "YES!" she cried.
Hugging Nana, Eddie saw the bus coming. He patted her on the back, "We have to get on the bus now," he coaxed.
Nana got down. She pointed at Peter and heartily said, "Come visit us some time!"
"If I can," Peter agreed.
"And you can stay at the Maple Inn with us" Nana beamed. "Bye for now!"
Peter waved back as they got on the bus. Even though he'd been very worried for a bit, he did like Eddie and Nana.
