Chapter 1: New Home

A presence arriving in my room causes my eyes to snap open, expecting to see Uncle Vernon, instead my eyes lock with an unfamiliar woman's. The woman is tall, with black hair and blue-green eyes and seems to have just manifested out of the shadows. She frowns at me a bit before asking, "Why do you seem injured?"

"Better questions, who are you? Why did you just appear in my bedroom? Please lower your voice, I don't want to wake Uncle Vernon." I tell her as I slowly raise to my feet and limp over to where Aunt Petunia apparently left the medical kit.

"I am Hella, goddess of the dead." she says, "I was called here."

I frown a bit, hand subconsciously moving to my right collarbone, where my birthmark is. I shake my head a bit and reach into the medical kit, pulling out what I need to stitch my injuries as I ask, "By my birthmark?"

"Yes." she says as I sit on my bed and begin prepping the bandages. She sits across from me and moves to speak again, but gets interrupted by the door opening.

I look over and find Aunt Petunia, who gives Hella a confused, and worried, look so I say, "It's fine, auntie. This is Hella. Did you come to help with my back?"

"Yes, I did." she says as she enters the room, closing the door behind her, "Why is there a stranger in your room, Iris?"

"She was summoned here." I tell her as she comes over to the edge of the bed. I then look at Hella and say, "This is my Aunt Petunia."

"Hi." aunt Petunia says as she sits behind me. I remove my shirt, placing it in front of my stomach and leaving my upper half in a bra, so she adds, "Iris?"

"It's fine." I tell her as I pass the supplies back to her. Hella reaches forward and traces my birthmark, a Norse Ear rune.

She then grabs my hand and asks, "Are you aware of what being born with that symbol means?"

"It means I'm your soulmate, right?" I ask and she nods.

"Yes." she says and I tilt my head as Aunt Petunia gets to work on the word Uncle Vernon carved into my back earlier. "Yes it does...why are you injured?"

"I'll tell you that at a later date." I tell her, "Sorry, but we just met. I'm Iris Potter, by the way."

"Vary well." Hella says. "Lovely to meet you, my dear."

I blush a bit and look down as Aunt Petunia clears her throat and says, "Sorry to interrupt, but I also wanted to tell Iris that we finally have somewhere to go to get her away from the person who did this too her." I glance back at her and she says, "The will reading me and Vernon went to today, for my Aunt Petunia. She left everything to me." she tells me, "I'm the one who claimed custody of you when you found those laws about abandoned children. Me and Dudley made a plan while he was...doing this; I put some sleep medication in his brandy before giving it to him. We're all leaving tonight. He can't stop me from taking you. I've left divorce papers on the kitchen table for him and everything."

I smirk back at her before saying, "That was rather Slytherin of you, Auntie."

"Thank you." she says as she finishes with my wounds and pulls a key from her pocket. She hands it to me after I put my shirt back on, "Dudley and I are going to pack, I'll get your school things out of the cupboard under the stairs, can you get your stuff? Or do you need me to send Dudley to help you?"

"I should be able to do it myself." I say with a small sigh, "I'll meet you downstairs."

She nods, exiting the room as I unlock the metal collar that Vernon likes to keep around my neck, something he does to remind me that I am less than human and apparently something Hella didn't notice until I unlocked it. I then stand and begin packing my bags, pausing momentarily when Hella gets up and begins inspecting the patch of blood on the wall from earlier.

She frowns and says, "This looks fresh."

"It's from tonight." I mutter before I continue packing my things, pulling the loose floorboard I keep my most valuable possessions in up and packing what I have in the floor. Once I get done I replace the board and pause again, seeing a parliament of owls flying at my window. I open the window and they fly in, one sets a shrunken box on my bed while the others all set various birthday gifts around it. They then leave as I walk over and smile as I say, "They must've sent them out last night."

"What are those?" Hella asks.

"Most of them are birthday gifts. I just turned fourteen." I tell her and she nods in understanding before helping me pack the rest of my things, I place the shrunken box and gifts into my bag and thank her before grabbing my pet hawk, Ivory. She says goodbye and leaves so I grab my stuff and begin walking downstairs. When Dudley notices how much pain I'm in he rushes forward and helps me take my things to the car.

We load up before I look at the note, which says: To Iris Lily Rose Potter, in this box you will find several weapons for yourself as well as three potions that will teach you fighting styles I have yet to send knowledge of. I'm sorry to say that this is the last I will be able to contact you until I am needed again, have fun gaining your revenge, Little One. Sincerely, M. I nod before a putting it in my pocket as Aunt Petunia starts driving. A couple hours out of the city we stop at an old, rundown farm with a family of three waiting for us on the front porch, looking tired.

"A farm, mum?" Dudley asks.

"I heard Iris talking about wanting to live on one with her hawk. Since I inherited one from my Aunt Petunia, we are moving here. The family on the porch is the farmhand with his wife and daughter, I'm old friends with the adults, though haven't seen them in years." Aunt Petunia says before looking back at me. "Let's get you inside and up to your new room." I nod tiredly and she climbs out of the car, I then open my door and the apparent farmhand walks over. "Hello Rick."

"Hey Petunia." he says as I slowly get out of the car. He frowns when he sees me and says, "You weren't kidding about your husband being a bad guy." he then gives me a smile and says, "Hey, I'm Rick, a friend of your aunt's."

"Iris." I say simply before grabbing the bag with the box in it and starting to limp to the front door; when I get to the front steps Aunt Petunia helps me walk up them before helping me go upstairs and into a fully furnished room with a queen sized bed complete with a forest green bedspread. She puts my bag on the dresser that is in the corner of the room and I carefully lay down on the bed.

I then pass out and when I wake up I feel like whatever it is I'm waiting for will happen soon. I slowly sit up and immediately get hit with a sudden vision. I see seven different paths, all of them involving same guys plan to take over Earth. I recognize him as Loki, god of Mischief, then I realize that if I help him he will let me have my revenge against anyone I decide I need to get revenge on. I decide to contact him at some point this week before shaking my head a bit and getting up.

I look around and watch as Hella forms out of the shadows, now looking fourteen. She smiles at me and sets a dagger on the desk that's in the corner of the room before saying, "Happy birthday."

I smile at her and say, "Thank you." I then get up and ask, "How are you today?"

"Perfectly fine, my dear. What about you?" she asks.

"I just had a vision that tells me I'll have a chance to take revenge on anyone who has done me wrong in the past." I tell her and she gives me a confused look, "I'm a seer."

She grins and says, "That's quite the rare gift." I nod and she says, "It seems I have quite the special soulmate." I blush before hearing Aunt Petunia call for me and Dudley, "I'll see you soon, my darling seer."

"Ok." I say softly and she fades into the shadows. I look over at Ivory before walking to her cage and letting her out, "You can have full range of the room, if you go outside, don't go far. Alright, Ivory?" she nods and I walk over to the door, finding it unlocked. I smile before heading downstairs, being greeted by the sight of Aunt Petunia setting up three plates of food, "Morning Aunt Petunia."

"Good morning." she says happily, "Breakfast is ready, why don't you take a seat at the table, Dudley and I will join you in a moment...and Iris?"

"Yes auntie?" I ask with a small smile.

"Happy Birthday." she says.

"Thank you." I say before taking my seat.

Dudley walks in a second later and helps Aunt Petunia bring the food in as he says, "Good morning mum, morning Iris, happy birthday."

"Hello Dudley." I say quietly. "Thank you."

"Good morning, dear." Aunt Petunia says as they take their seats. Once we get done with breakfast I go back up to my new room where I pull the shrunken box and gifts out of my bag. I expand the shrunken box before opening it, knowing that this is the last thing I'm going to be receiving from the mysterious M., who has been sending me various things to help me throughout my life...I feel kinda sad, but maybe this box will also tell me who they are. I pull it open and find a note on top of a large stack of various weapons.

I grab it and see that it says, Just remembered that I never properly introduced myself, so sorry about that. I have been helping you all this time by sending these care packages through time to you, my heir. My name is Morgana Le Fay, I am your ancestor through your mother's side of the family and I have selected you to be the one to claim my lordship.

My eyes go wide and I slowly put the note back before inspecting the weapons and finding that all of them are Elven and Dwarven. There's everything I would need for a war, including five Elven long bows and quivers of arrows, three Dwarven battle axes, fourteen sets of Elven hunting knives, fourteen sets of Elven throwing knives, and twelve Dwarven short swords. I smirk before pulling a small box containing the Le Fay family ring and three vials of silver liquid from the box.

I sit on my new bed and look at the ring for a bit before I have a vision of Vernon waking up hungover and, in his stupor, accidentally signing the divorce papers thinking they're for work, then I see three possible paths once he realizes what he's done, two of which involve him coming here either today or in three days. I get up and walk downstairs where I find Petunia and Dudley discussing a chore chart that they made that actually seems fair.

I clear my throat and say, "Aunt Petunia?"

"Yes Iris?" she asks while turning to look at me.

"Vernon is going to wake up in an hour, in his dazed stupor he will sign the papers, then either he will wait three days and come here, be here within the next few hours, or just get drunk again." I tell her and she gives me a confused look. "I'm a seer."

"A seer?" she asks.

"Yeah. I can see possible futures. Vernon has three paths set, waiting on his decision. If he comes here...both visions of him coming here end in him being arrested." I tell her. "If he shows up he's gonna be furious."

"We can handle it." she tells me, "If he shows up Dudley can call the cops on him. Now, Iris, could you please hang these along the property line?" she asks, handing me a stack of metal signs and the things needed to hang them. I look and find that they are warning signs that declares this private property and states that trespassers may be shot.

"Should I get one of my bows ready?" I ask.

"We don't know how to shoot a bow." she points out.

"I do." I remind her, "Remember? He could earn money by sending me through Archery competitions, that's how I tricked him into letting me learn how to shoot."

"Right, so you can threaten if he makes a move." she says with a small nod.

"I can get a nice shot from the window of my room." I tell her before heading out.
