Chapter 15: Kings and Queen

A few minutes of my fellow Triwizard Champions processing what they saw passes before they all begin ranting angrily, Cedric using English while the other two speak their native languages. I move away from them as casually as I can and grab a book to read before going into the bedroom and laying on a bed. I read my book while listening to them all rant.

It takes them a long while to calm down and, when they do, I hear muffled talking before someone hesitantly opens the door. I look over and find the other Champions. Cedric looks at me and takes a breath before saying, "I think I speak for all of us when I say that we understand why you choose Loki; we're sorry you had to go through that and are glad to help in any way that we can. I mean, we've already agreed to side with Loki, why would we change that just because you've been helping him longer than we knew?"

The other two nod and I smile before saying, "Good to know I'm not losing you three as friends."

"Why did you come in here?" Fleur asks curiously.

"Because I really don't like being around extremely angry males, even if I know they aren't angry at me." I tell her and the boys wince. "Also because this bed is really comfortable." I then stand and walk past them, returning my book to the shelf before asking, "Should we head back up?"

"Yeah, sorry for getting angry." Cedric says.

"We are all beings with emotions, we can't help getting angry sometimes." I say before leading them out of the chamber.

When we arrive in Myrtle's bathroom we are greeted by the sight of fifteen ministry officials searching the bathroom. Cedric chuckles quietly before whispering to the others, "This should be fun."

I close the chamber and glare at the crowd as I demand, "What is going on here?"

"Ah, Iris, my dear girl." Dumbledore says while stepping out of the group, "These lovely people heard of the knowledge hidden in the chamber and wish to use that against Loki and Hella in this war as they are currently nearing our borders. Please show them to the chamber."

"Not a chance." I say angrily and he blinks. "The chamber belongs to the Slytherin Line. As Lady Slytherin via right of conquest everything within the chamber belongs to me. As I cannot be sure that these people wouldn't abuse the knowledge hidden down there they will not be getting access to the chamber, and before you even think about bringing in curse breakers know that you would need ones who speak parceltongue as the wards of the chamber were placed with parcelmagic. I am the only one who can open the chamber now."

"Enough of this, girl." Lucius Malfoy sneers down at me, "By order of the Minister we demand that you allow us entrance into the chamber."

I smirk a bit before coldly saying, "The ministry holds no power within the wards of Hogwarts, Mr. Malfoy. I refuse to allow you all entrance into the Chamber and you cannot force me to comply to your demands without breaking the law."

"You will let us in, girl!" he snaps.

"No, I won't." I sneer at him. "I will not be giving you even a single page of knowledge from my collection. Now you will let this matter drop or I will insure you never set foot within these wards again, do you understand me, sir?" I don't wait for him to answer before looking at Dumbledore, "Now, if you will excuse me, I am rather famished, so I am going to lunch."

I walk past him and to the exit with the other champions. "You cannot just walk away from us!"

Lucius snaps at me; I remain silent as I walk. I take everyone to lunch and sit in my usual spot, serving myself while chatting with Viktor. Our meal is interrupted half-way through when Lucius enters and storms over to me.

I take a sip of my drink before looking up at him and saying, "Can I help you with something, Lord Malfoy?"

He scowls at me as he says in a low voice, "You will take us to the chamber or you will be charged with treason against the Ministry and other such War Crimes."

"Are you forgetting that I'm fourteen or do you just call every teenager you meet a war criminal for refusing to comply to blackmail?" I ask calmly before adding in a chiding tone, "Imagine what the media will think once they find out that the ministry is trying to blackmail teenagers now."

"It would be quite scandalous." Viktor agrees as he takes a bite of his food.

Lucius shifts uncomfortably before turning and sweeping out of the room, taking the ministry goons with him as he goes. I finish my meal and think to Hella, 'Am I allowed to commit arson?'

'I think that it would blow your cover, but maybe we can destroy his house when we reach England.' she thinks back.

'That would be lovely.' I think to her, 'Just make sure Lucius' wife isn't home when you do, she'll be useful if you recruit her, offer to kill her husband for her, she's been trying to off the rat for years now.'

The time between then and the next round of the Quidditch tournament flies by and now I'm standing on the pitch as Lee excitedly announces, "Welcome to the second round of the Champion's Quidditch Tournament! This time in elimination matches first up we have the Flying Badgers verses the Raven's song, please take to the stands at this time if your team isn't up."

I cheer Cedric on from my place sitting with my team, one member asks, "Why are you cheering?"

"Cedric is a friend of mine. I'm sure at some point we'll be up against each other, but until then I will cheer for my friends." I tell her and she nods before I continue cheering for Cedric. The game lasts an hour until Cedric catches the snitch.

"With that we have our first team eliminated, Raven's Song, let's give it up for them!" Lee announces and we cheer before he says, "Also, give it up for the winners of this match, Flying Badgers!" the crowd cheers again and he quiets us down by saying, "Now, for the second match we have Sky Strikes verses Badgers Pride!" after Harry's team wins, the Bulgarian Bulls go against Draco Malfoy's team and win. Finally I stand as he calls, "Three teams eliminated and only one to go, you know them, you might even like them, give it up for the Burning Lions!" the Gryffindors cheer loudly for Ronald's team. "Let's not leave out the competition, give it up for the Viper of the Quidditch Pitch and her team, the Soaring Dragons!"

We take to the skies and Ronald calls to me, "You ready to lose, Potter?"

"What are you and your cleansweep gonna do, Ronald? Bore me to death?" I call back and he glares at me as James, the chosen Referee, starts the match. After about twenty minutes of hovering above the pitch with Ronald as my team decimates his, the snitch shows itself right next to his ear, I quickly rush forward and snatch it from the air before turning to him, smirking as I ask, "Ready to eat your words, Weasel?"

"What do you mean? I can still beat you!" he says angrily and I laugh before holding up the snitch victoriously and glaring at him.

"Wanna bet?" I ask.

"Iris Potter has caught the snitch! The Soaring Dragons win!" Lee Jordan calls out excitedly and Ronald tries to knock me off my broom. I dodge before flying down to the field and hopping off, Ronald doing the same.

I walk over to him and say, "Good game, Weasley."

"Whatever freak." he sneers and the people who heard him go silent and look at me as I tense up.

"Call me that again and I will remove your tongue and feed it too you." I say lowly and he gives me a wide eyed look. "You are lucky that I am in a good mood, otherwise you would be taking a trip to the Hospital Wing right now."

I turn and storm away, shaking as I head for the castle. As I walk I think to Hella, 'Talk me out of committing murder, please.'

'Just a couple more weeks until we see each other for our first date. Don't mess that up.' she thinks and I sigh a bit.

'Thank you, Hella. I needed that reminder.' I think back before walking to the Slytherin Dormitories and deciding to read on my bed. I grab a book entitled, Interesting facts about Hogwarts that nearly no one knows! I open it to the first page and begin reading. About halfway through the book I find a fact that catches my full interest.

Apparently, the founders made it so Hogsmead and Hogwarts are counted as its own country, owned by the founders and their descendants. I smirk before sending the information through the mind link I have with the others on Loki's side, except for my fellow champions. A second passes before Neville mentally asks, 'Does that mean you, me, and Harry own a country because we're the lords and lady of the founders lines?'

'Yes, Neville, my fiend, it does.' I tell him, 'Which means Hella can come and visit me so long as she sends a formal letter to one of us three informing us that she's coming under a white flag of truce.'

'Have you told her that yet?' Hermione asks.

'No, I just found it. I'll tell her now.' I think back before switching links and filling Hella in on the situation as I set the book to the side and grab three crystals from my trunk. I start crafting three new mind link necklaces and chatting with Hella for a while.

Eventually I get done and walk out of my room, walking up to my fellow Champions and passing them the necklaces, explaining how they work. They put them on and get greeted by my other friends. I then walk with the Champions to the great hall and find a new table, with individual seats and three thrones, has replaced the teachers table, which is now in the middle of the room.

"We don't know how it got there." James is saying to Dumbledore. "It won't let us sit down at it, we thought it could be one of Iris' pranks."

"Nope." I say and they jump before turning to look at me. "Just Hogwarts recognizing a claim to her thrones."

"You say that as if the castle is a country." Lily says while rolling her eyes.

I smirk and say, "The castle and Hogsmead make up the kingdom of Hogwarts. It is it's own country. The founders made it so."

"In that case, as the headmaster, I should be able to sit in one of the thrones." Dumbledore says, "I tried though and got stopped."

"That's because the headmaster is merely a placeholder." I tell him, "The thrones go to those who claim lordship over the founders houses. I, as Lady Slytherin and Hufflepuff, get the middle throne."

"I get the blue one." Harry says as he walks up and takes his seat. Neville just silently takes the red seat. I smile before sitting in the green and gold throne. "Because Neville and I are the Lords of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw respectfully, and Iris holds the other two lines, that makes us the kings and queen of Hogwarts."

"The extra seats are for our friends." I say while looking around the room, "They can take their seats at the table whenever they want too." my friends, champions included, take seats around the table and we dish ourselves food as the staff who aren't sitting with us begrudgingly sit at their table, except for Hagrid, who is just as happy as he usually is. I look down at the other tables and turn to McGonagall as I say, "Woah, I see why you teachers like sitting up here. It makes me feel important."

She chuckles and dishes herself some food as she says, "Yes, that is a big part of it. Also the seats are more comfortable than the student chairs."

"I noticed that. It's kinda unfair." I say and she laughs a bit before we begin eating.
