Hope you are all ready for another chapter. I just wanted to put in a quick warning, though I know I don't always. This chapter is going to contain quite a bit of trauma and self-blame. I just wanted to warn you guys in case that isn't something you wanted to read. Thank you for reading!

"Alright, now then if you don't have any more questions you are to meet at Training Ground 44 tomorrow at this time. If you fail to show up, you will automatically be disqualified!" Genma informed the genin before he stepped back and let them disperse.

The Iwa Team was among those to leave first, no doubt headed for their hotels while the Konoha Rookies all gathered together to talk about the preliminary rounds.

Kabuto sighed and glanced across the field until his gaze ghosted across one of the Kusa teams.

A shiver worked down his spine as he met the gaze of one of the ninja, a dark-haired shinobi with shades covering his eyes. Something about the boy was oddly…chilling. Kabuto didn't like that team, let alone the boy who met his gaze readily.

Kabuto looked away, resolving to tell Orochimaru about it when he met up with the man in about an hour.

Kabuto vanished from the training ground with a swirl of leaves, feeling Genma do the same.

They only had a day to prepare after all.

I~~~~I

Hosha spent the day avoiding the others. All of them knew something was up at this point, but she could hardly focus on the fact she was worrying her teammates. They hadn't seen her withdraw from them like this since she had revealed the Kyuubi to them. She supposed they had a right to worry about her then.

Things didn't feel right. She couldn't settle and ever since her last talk with the Kyuubi Hosha hadn't been able to think straight. She stared down at her hands, at the gloved fingers that clenched and unclenched. She knew the skin beneath them was scarred and marked with her clan, but right now she could look at them. She couldn't be reminded of her parents.

The blonde could feel the chill of the air settling over her. She could also feel it inside of her, spreading over her heart and soul as it consumed her. Nothing felt right at the moment.

The chill made her shiver. It was going to rain soon.

Perfect, because if anything could make this day better, it was the rain. Rain used to be something she cherished, enjoyed. She would play outside with Deidara all the time when they were kids. It was something that they both enjoyed. Now, any reminder of her family sent Naru tumbling back into her thoughts of her birth father. She couldn't see Raida's face or think of Lady Raida without thinking of Namikaze Minato instead.

Naru looked up to the sky, feeling like her mind was both in a haze and like her thoughts were roaring, every single item of interest clouding her thoughts. Nothing was okay. Everything was a jumbled mess and it made her want to scream. It made Naru want to curl up into a ball until she just disappeared.

She was the daughter of the Yondaime. She was the daughter of Namikaze Minato. Iwatoshi Hosha was Namikaze Minato's daughter.

Hosha clenched her hands into fists, her body shaking as she thought about the man that plagued her. Blonde hair, blue eyes…Her family had always said that her coloring meant she was destined for them, that her place in the world was with them. It had made Hosha feel like she belonged even when the rest of the clan didn't accept her. It had been her saving grace when Raida had died because at least she could keep something that he had loved with her. It had been something from her birth parents, but Raida and Lady Raida had made it theirs too.

Of course, Hosha had thought about her birth parents, had imagined them, and stayed up at night wondering what type of people they were. She wondered if they were shinobi or if they traveled. She had wondered if they had thrown her away, or if losing her had hurt them as much as any loving parent. Hosha had wondered if they cared as much as Raida did if they would have done what he had-

As she grew older these thoughts started to fade. Hosha had a family that she loved and adored. What did her birth parents matter compare to her father and brother? It felt wrong to want something she didn't have over something she did have.

Hosha curled into a tighter ball, her hands winding around her legs as she shook. She could feel the haze growing stronger. The thoughts weren't stopping, and she couldn't control them. They were starting to consume her, and she just wanted them to stop.

She was the Yondaime's daughter.

It made her sick to her stomach. The man had slaughtered thousands of her people. His village had hurt her so deeply and it made her want to scream. How could she be related to that man, to the person who held so much hatred in the eyes of her village?

Did this mean that woman was right? Was she worthless now? Was she not enough for her village? If Naru wasn't enough for them…then what purpose did she have anymore?

The thoughts still wouldn't stop as Hosha thrashed in her arms, trying to get rid of them. She wanted to let everything out. She wanted to tell someone but she couldn't. Who could she even vent to? These thoughts were stuck in her head. She was in this alone. Everyone she knew, everyone she loved and cared for hated Namikaze Minato. Would they hate her too?

Namikaze Minato…Why did it have to be him? Why did her father have to be someone she hated?

Hosha rose sharply, turning around and slamming her hand into the tree she had been resting her back again. A sickening 'crack' sounded as the bark shattered and spiral markings worked their way over the surface. Her hand hurt, but Hosha hardly noticed. "Why did it have to be you…" Hosha whispered, her eyes, formerly downcast and glassed over, hardened into a sharp line.

She slammed her fist into the tree again, chakra surging through her. Her anger rushed to the surface and Hosha relished in the release from all of her thoughts. She could think clearly.

"Why...!" She snapped, rushing forward, and shattering the tree. It exploded outward as her chakra raged, the dual affinities that she possessed rising in her hands. She could mold them to her whim, cause darkness or bring light. She could destroy-

She could get answers.

Hosha turned sharply, her limbs still shaking but this time in anger as she faced the head of the village. She wanted answers. She wanted to know the truth. There was only one person who could answer her now, one person that she could tell and demand from now.

Why, why did it have to be Minato? Why couldn't it have been anyone else? Where had he been? How had she ended up in Iwa? Did he search for her?

Hosha shoved all of the questions down, pushing them below the surface as well as her rage. If she wanted answers then she would have to go and ask the source of all this trouble. She needed to talk to Minato.

Taking another deep breath, Naru pulled in her chakra. She dragged it under her skin, right below the surface for another time. She would deal with it later. She needed answers first. She needed to find Minato and get the answer straight from him. If he didn't answer her…well she never really liked the man, to begin with, and didn't fathom her life after this mess being any worse than dying while going for his throat.

The girl took a step before vanishing in a cloud of dust. The air rushed past her as she shunshined across the village. She had to get to Minato to get answers. She would direct her chakra to help with her pursuit. She had enough that using it, abusing it like this wouldn't affect her.

Her sights were set on the Hokage tower for a moment, but after a quick debate, she turned sharply and went to where her team was instead. Something told her that Minato wasn't where she thought he was. Well, there was an easy fix to that. She would find his exact location even if it took slightly longer than she originally planned. Her feet dropped onto cobbled steps before she shot back into the air, past the buildings and unfamiliar surroundings. She was searching-

There.

Hosha dropped down next to the hotel her teammates were staying in. When she turned, she was met with the wide eyes of her target. There were two others, Shisui and Yarui, next to Darui. She ignored them as she stepped closer to Darui. She was shaking again, forcing her to take another sharp breath as she dragged her unease and her anger below the surface again. It was just there, simmering under the surface.

"Darui, I need your help," Hosha told the boy, her voice holding a note of command to it. She ignored the odd and shocked looks of Shisui and Yarui next to the boy, walking over to Darui as she reached out.

She settled her hand on the boy's shoulder, meeting his eyes firmly. "Tell me where the Hokage is, you can find him right?" Hosha demanded as she tried not to sound frantic. Her limbs were still shaking even as her grip on her teammate tightened. She met his eyes as she tried to show just how desperate she was. She needed to clear her head, she needed answers-

Darui's brow furrowed, and he nodded at her. "Yeah, I can find him easily but- "He began, only for Hosha to shake her head at him.

"Just tell me. Please." Hosha added on the last line, her gaze faltering for a moment as desperation leaked into her tone. She willed it down further. She needed to stay calm, to keep her cool. She shoved at the emotions again, burying them further and further. She had to keep covering them. She couldn't explode here, not with people who she loved in the crossfire. Later, after she got her answers then she could let loose. She'd destroy a whole training ground and settled herself.

Darui frowned, but even as the other two started to question her, he closed his eyes and focused. Hosha ignored everything else, drowning out the world as she eyed her teammate.

Darui bit his lip before opening his eyes.

"He's at the North end of the Village about fifty kilometers from the village wall. It looks like he was checking out a training ground- "Darui started but was startled when Naru nodded sharply and turned around.

He reached out, but this time he wasn't fast enough.

Hosha didn't linger where her teammates were and instead left in the direction that Darui had pointed her in. She vanished in a burst of dust even as the three were still reaching out for her.

They would likely follow her after they gathered their bearings. That was fine, Hosha would be quick. She could get the Hokage alone with enough coercion. If not…Well, she knew how to get what she wanted.

She would get her answers, no matter what.

Her feet drifted and she dropped on a path, looking around as she gauged how far she was. She needed two or three more jumps before she would-

"Hosha!" A voice said sharply and Naru turned as Shisui dropped next to her.

She flinched as she realized that she had forgotten exactly how good the boy was at Shunshin too. Something to do with the Uchiha also having talent in it and their clan not wanting to be shown up.

Now, Hosha wished that the boy wasn't so good at everything he set his mind to. She needed to go and get answers or-

She wasn't sure what would happen. She was already going mad with the rampant thoughts rushing through her head.

"Hosha, calm down and talk to me. What is going on?" Shisui said sharply, grabbing onto her wrist while she wasn't focused.

Her gaze snapped to the boy and she tried to wrench herself free. Shisui held tight, yanking her back. Hosha was surprised by the strength of his pull and was dragged against the boy.

His eyes bore down into hers and Hosha felt herself flinch as she read what was in his gaze.

Worry, fear, sadness.

Her heart ached and Naru looked away. Her breathing was almost frantic again and her vision was spotting. She could feel the tingling of chakra under her skin again, ready to snap.

Would he still look at her like that if he knew? Would he still care? Would any of them?

Hosha only had them. She only had them.

If she lost them if she-

"Hosha!" Shisui snapped, raising his voice in a way he never had before. The boy grabbed onto her shoulders, shaking her as her gaze refocused on his form.

His eyes were searching her own, trying to find an explanation for her behavior.

"S-Shisui, let me go- "Hosha tried, her voice breaking.

She needed answers or she was going to lose it. The thoughts were weighing down on her again.

"Not until you explain what is going on. You are scaring us, scaring me! You aren't acting right, and I swear it looks like you are going to do something stupid to the Hokage- "Shisui snapped at her, earning a flinch before Hosha snapped back at him.

Her hands found his and she shoved at him, trying to free herself. Shisui held tightly to her shoulders though.

"It's none of your business, I just…I just need answers!" She snapped back at the boy. Her chakra thrummed and lightning-sparked along her fingertips.

Shisui narrowed his eyes on her own. Neither of the two shinobi noticed when their other teammates arrived.

"What answers, what could the Yondaime possibly tell you!?" Shisui demanded from the girl.

Hosha growled at the boy and shifted back. In a flurry she launched Shisui over her shoulders, falling back and dragging the shocked boy with her.

She slammed him into the ground and turned around, twisting his arms around to break his grip.

"It's none of your business, now stop trying to stop me!" Hosha snapped again. The lightning wove up her limbs, dancing along her veins and up her throat. She felt a searing chakra rush through her.

The Kyuubi was there, pressing at his binds as he fed the rampant emotions inside of her.

"Naru!" Darui shouted and in an instant he was also there, his wire shooting out around her while Yarui launched at her. The brunette tackled his teammate to the ground even as she shoved and tried to break out of his grip.

"Damnit Naru, calm the hell down!" Yarui shouted into her face, pinning her down into the dirt even as she snarled and snapped at him.

Her walls were crumbling and the chakra around her was racing. They could feel the heat in the air, and they were drowning in it.

None of them knew what to do as Hosha struggled against Yarui, up until the girl raised her hand.

She shoved Yarui aside, but instead of dashing Naru turned sharply and launched at the boy.

Her whisker-like marks grew along her cheeks and the chakra in the air turned potent, the razor-sharp edge under her skin brightening and bubbling over the surface as she snapped.

Yarui had never felt fear like this, fear that grew inside and bubbled over.

As Naru knocked him onto the ground and glared down at him like he was nothing more than an enemy, like he wasn't her teammate and like she wanted to go through him, Yarui felt fear.

"Yarui!" He heard Shisui, saw Darui over Hosha's shoulder even as the chakra burned. His skin peeled and he withheld a scream as his teammate struck him.

He had never thought that Hosha would even hurt him. She was incredibly gentle with them, despite being a kunoichi and being stronger than them. She was careful not to hurt them, worried so much of losing control-

And yet as he looked into her eyes, Yarui didn't see his teammate anymore. He saw the beast that was sealed inside of her, saw the darkness that boiled below the surface and that Naru had held back for so long.

Naru had warned them this might happen. Yarui only hoped that when the girl came to…She would be able to move past hurting him.

He watched as she neared again, her arm raised to strike down on his head.

Yarui struggled, burns forming as the chakra corroded his clothing and burnt his skin. He needed to get away or she would kill him.

He was too slow though. No one could stop what was about to happen. Yarui clenched his eyes shut, not wanting to see someone he cared for staring at him like that, ready to kill him.

Just as abruptly as Yarui closed his eyes, a flash of yellow shot between the two.

Hosha was sent back as the other two Iwa-Nin witnessed the Yondaime Hokage stand in front of their teammate.

Minato looked up, his gaze harsh as it landed on where Hosha was writhing, clawing at her head while corrosive chakra poured from her.

"Stay behind me," Minato ordered the others, meeting their gazes before he vanished.

Shisui and Darui turned in time to witness Minato land on top of Hosha.

She flailed, trying to push him away, to shove at him and get out of the situation.

Minato gazed down at her, rearing his hand back. He pulled Naru's shirt up, exposing her stomach where bright blue lines spiraled. He slammed his palm into the center, twisting as a new seal overlayed.

Hosha jolted, her eyes going wide as she jerked up. Abruptly the presence of the chakra faded, vanishing under Minato's hand as the seal was strengthened.

He pulled his hand away, watching as the previously red eyes of his daughter turned into a hazy blue.

She gazed up at him with her blue eyes. Tears slipped down her cheeks as her body shuddered below him.

Minato felt his chest tighten as her hand lifted. She was reaching for him. He gently took her hand, shifting to the side so he was no longer looming over her.

She was covered in burns, her skin scarred and bruised. It was some of the worst wounds that Minato had ever seen. The Bijuu chakra had hurt her so deeply…It wasn't good.

She met his gaze, tears continuing to flow as he heard her speak.

"Why…Why did it have to be you." She said, hatred and loathing flowing from her mouth as he eyes fell shut.

Minato closed his eyes, clenching his hand around the girl's as he felt a tremor run down his spine.

He had never felt weaker than he did as he looked at one of his greatest regrets.

I~~~~~I

Hosha opened her eyes to gaze at ceiling tiles, colored white and spotted with grey dots.

Her gaze shifted over the room. Everything in her body hurt, ached in a way that spoke of days training with Roshi.

This time though, she also felt pain in her chest. Her heart ached and tears started to form as she realized what she had done. It all flooded back to her as she sat up in her bed. She stared down at her hands, the eyes of her teammates rushing through her mind.

It turned out that it didn't take her birth father to make them fear her, to change how they felt. No, Hosha was already enough of a monster that she could do that herself.

"They are okay. Your team." A voice dragged Hosha's eyes up.

She flinched when she met a familiar blue gaze. She remembered Minato, saw him as he crashed in and-

She remembered that he had saved Yarui from her.

How could she judge this man like she had, how could she loathe him when…When she was as much of a monster as he was.

"You have the Kyuubi sealed inside of you, it's what made you attack them," Minato told her, his eyes never leaving hers.

Hosha flinched again, scoffing, and turning her head to the side. It hurt to move, hurt even more to talk, but she didn't care. All of this pain, this aching in her body, she deserved.

"I know. I've known…I should have…I should have controlled it." She hissed, clenching her fists over the surface of the blanket over her. She felt like she was back in that room, that night with all of the blood that washed over her and caked her legs.

She could see him, see his eyes as the light faded and she-

Hosha gripped her chest, making herself cough as she hunched over. Her breathing was quickening again. Her vision blurred and her head hurt.

That memory-

She knew it. That was the night that Raida died, the night she became a full member of the Bomber Clan. She could still feel the blood, running down her fingers as she cried out. Raida had held her, even as her arm skewered through his chest.

Hosha wanted to throw up. Bile rose and only the sharp movement of someone made her snap out in time to hunch over. She emptied her stomach, a burning running through her as she ran out of bile. Hands held her back and her hair, pushing it back. Hosha shuddered while her world spun.

She had killed him. She had killed Raida that night all those years ago and now she had nearly killed her team too. If it hadn't been for someone, she hated someone she had never wanted to be near, then they too would be dead.

Hosha looked up, meeting the eyes of her birth father again. She was shaking and the tears were spilling from her eyes again.

Minato met her gaze even as shock crept into his own.

"I know. I know that I'm the damned monster so shut up." She snapped at the man, but her attempt was feeble. Things were rushing through her head again and she just wanted them to stop.

She shifted, chuckling darkly. She shoved at the man, pushing him away from her as he tried to help. Her anger rose again, replacing her own loathing for the moment as she met his eyes fiercely.

"You really are a shitty dad, sealing something like this in your own kid. I…I want to know why. Why did you think that putting that thing into my head was a good idea?!" Hosha snapped.

Minato's eyes darkened and he clenched his fists against his lap. He shook in place, but he didn't stop her.

"I hurt them! I have to watch my every move, or I snap! I can't ever lose myself and I have to store away everything until I snap, because if I don't then I'm a danger to everyone. You sealed this burden inside of me and then you threw me away." Hosha hissed, her eyes filling with tears as she clenched her arms around herself. She could feel her chest tightening again and she wanted to scream.

It was like this morning all over again. She couldn't let it out then but now, now she had nothing to lose. She was feared, rightfully so, by those she had come to care for. It didn't matter anymore.

"You made me into a tool. I'm a weapon…and it wasn't even because I chose to be." She said bitterly. Hosha couldn't even look at Minato anymore. Her tears were clouding her vision.

"I'm worthless now. I have nothing else left. I had a family but now-Now I'm a danger to them too. And you…You shifted everything. Why, why did it have to be you?" She said, her voice breaking as she folded in on herself again.

"Why did you have to be my dad? Why did you…Why did I have to be a mon- "Hosha's voice broke and she struggled, tears overflowing as she thought about her words.

She was nothing more than a monster. She clenched her fingers against her shoulders and felt her nails dig in as her sobs grew in volume. She shuddered against herself as she replayed that day. She had nearly killed him.

She was a monster. She shouldn't be here; she didn't deserve to be. Her chest clenched and she couldn't breathe as her world spun again. There was too much, she was drowning in all of it.

Abruptly, warmth spread, and Naru was shocked when she felt arms wrap around her tightly. Her haze was broken as she felt hands gently unwind her fingers from her shoulders, encasing her in their embrace. She could feel Minato tentatively tugging her against his chest, her head hitting his shoulder.

"I'm so sorry…" He whispered, his words drifting through her ear.

Hosha froze against the man. Her heart thudded and overtook the thoughts in her head.

He…He was apologizing. She wanted to say she didn't know what for, but she did. It was all about the Kyuubi, about that night and what followed.

"I'm so so sorry Naru. I should have…I should have found another way. I knew you would struggle, that the Kyuubi would be a constant battle and I- I'm so sorry. I was so selfish, and I hurt you." He whispered, his words drifting into her hazy mind.

Hosha slumped against the man, her eyes staring at the tiles of the ceiling.

She…She didn't know what to feel anymore. So, sitting there and settled against a man who she would have called Tou-San in another life, Hosha cried.

She let out her pain, her tears, and her frustrations on the man who had started it all.

I~~~~I

Minato only moved away from Naru when she had slumped against him, fingers gripping the back of his uniform as she slept.

Minato gently removed her hands, his eyes ghosting over the claw marks she had made in her skin. He felt remorse, anger, regret, loathing-

He hated himself. More than the night he lost her, more than the night that Danzo escaped.

Self-loathing is something that everyone struggles with at some point, but at this moment, staring down at the hurt and twisted form of his daughter as she slept…

Minato knew it better than he ever had before.

He stood up, covering the girl in her blanket before he walked to the window.

He had made a mistake back then. Sealing the Kyuubi into Naru. He had never wanted for this to happen, had thought that she would be able to learn to control the power. Was it really worth it though? Was that hope and that pride enough reason to put the girl through all of this?

If he hadn't felt her chakra in time if he hadn't already had that seal placed on one of Hosha's teammates…Well, things would have been worse. He remembered the three boys, how they had all rushed to make sure that Hosha was okay even after one of them had nearly died. They had been afraid for her.

They had every right to be. Her seal…something was off about it. It was supposed to have kept the Kyuubi at bay, but something seemed to have shifted, twisting it. It was letting too much influence come out.

Minato had tightened it, but he could only do so much about a seal that he didn't design. Kushina may know more but Minato couldn't bring himself to face her even.

She had been right when she had told him not to seal the Kyuubi into their daughter.

Minato looked back at the girl, watching as the faint breeze set her tangled hair around her face. It wasn't as long as Kushina's and resembled his more, but it still made something fond pang in his chest.

He walked over to the girl again, placing his hand next to her face. He could see the whisker marks on her cheeks, and it made him smile sadly. He remembered that she had been born with them.

Shuffling drew the Hokage's sharp gaze up to the doorway.

He narrowed his eyes and disappeared in a yellow flash.

A second later the door opened, and a resolute figure walked in.

They were tailed by a medic-nin, the two conversing before the medic giggled and left the boy alone in the room.

The male sighed and turned to face the girl in the bed, only to freeze. His eyes narrowed and in another flash of yellow, Minato appeared behind the boy.

He was an older boy, and he had an Iwagakure headband. He was one of the boys on Hosha's Exam team, Hatori.

"Well, never expected you to still be here," Hatori muttered, narrowing his eyes on the man. Minato took note of the different shades of the boy's eyes. Something about this shinobi unsettled Minato.

Hatori turned, stepping away from Minato. He showed him his back, uncaring as he walked over to Naru's bedside.

His gaze softened and Hatori reached down to brush some of the hair on her face aside.

In a flash, Minato grabbed his wrist.

"You aren't supposed to be here. I ordered that only those I allowed would be let in." Minato said sharply. Something was up with this.

Hatori glanced back at the man and chuckled, tilting his head. He smiled at Minato and the look put him even more on edge.

"Ah, yeah. Sorry about that. I was worried about Hosha, so I may have influenced your Medic Ninja. They'll snap out of the daze soon though. I just…needed to see her. Make sure she was okay." Hatori told Minato. He looked back down at the girl and traced over her form. His eyes lingered on the faded marks and the new ones that were healing over.

"Ah, so she found out." He muttered.

It was supposed to be light, but Minato wasn't Hokage for nothing. He heard the boy's comment.

"Found out what?" Minato demanded from the boy.

Hatori glanced back to Minato and chuckled again.

"That she's your daughter of course."

I~~~~I

Hey there again! Hope things have been going well. I've been trying to write more often so I managed to get this chapter out. I also realized that I messed up Hatori's name in the last chapter, so I fixed that. Hopefully, I got all the mistakes, but I can't promise much since It's a little late. I hope you all enjoyed the chapter!

Also, I hope you all are looking forward to the coming chapter. After this, things get spicy.
