Nazz could feel the anger radiating off of Eddy as they silently pulled up to his house. Ed could tell that now was not the time to ask questions. He knew Eddy was mad, he just wasn't sure why. He would have to ask Nazz later when Eddy wasn't around.

Before Nazz could come to a complete stop Eddy yanked open his door. She quickly slammed on the break and put the car in park. Nazz and Ed stared at each other in surprise as they listened to Eddy scream out a string of curse words.

"This is bad, huh Nazz?" Ed asked, looking from her to Eddy.

Nazz nodded slightly. "Yeah Ed. This is bad."

Ed looked at her again. "But why is it bad? Why is he so mad?"

Nazz bit her lip and then sighed as she tried to figure out how to explain it. "Terrence was hurtful to Eddy, Double D, and you. So Eddy is mad because he doesn't know what Terrence is doing here and he is afraid that his brother is going to try and hurt Double D."

Ed nodded, soaking in everything she had said. "I think I understand. It's like when he got mad because Double D started dating Kevin."

"Yeah, like that." She agreed.

They both turned their attention back to Eddy who was now kicking up clumps of grass and dirt in his front yard while cursing and screaming.

"Do you think we should stop him?" Ed wondered aloud.

"Yeah, let's get him inside." She responded while pulling her keys from the ignition.

The two of them quickly exited the car and walked over to Eddy. Nazz knew there was no way she could do anything to stop Eddy physically so she decided to distract him.

"Eddy, I know you're upset but we need to go inside now."

Eddy stopped kicking the ground and looked up at her. His cheeks were red and sweat was starting to form on his forehead. His momentary pause gave Ed just enough time to grab Eddy and throw him over his shoulder in a fireman's carry.

Eddy wanted to fight but he knew that he was no match for Ed. Besides, being thrown over someone's shoulder like a rag doll really wiped the anger right out of a person. So he accepted the situation as best as he could; one of his best friends was carrying him inside, his other best friend was off somewhere confiding in his shit head brother. He was so wrapped up wondering what was happening between his brother and his friend that Eddy didn't even register it when Nazz reached into his back pocket to pull out his house key.

Nazz unlocked the door and let Ed in first so that he could set Eddy down. Eddy promptly began pacing in front of the couch mumbling to himself. Ed sat on the couch across from the living room window so that he could watch for Double D. After talking to Nazz and finding out what Eddy was so upset about, Ed had started to worry too. He was sad because he hadn't seen his friend in a long time.

"Eddy, is Double D gonna be okay?" Ed asked, his brow furrowing with concern.

Eddy stopped pacing to look out the window towards Edd's house. "I sure hope so, Big Guy."

Nazz leaned against the entryway to the living room and sighed. "Eddy, he's going to be fine. He's just going through a lot right now. We all lost Kevin. But we didn't lose him the same way 'D did. I know you feel like you're being shut out, but it isn't a you thing. It's an Edd thing."

Eddy started pacing again. "Nazz, you think I don't know that? Of course I know that. He's vulnerable right now though. My brother is the last person he should be getting close to!"

Nazz took a deep breath and stood straight with her shoulders back. "I'm going to go make us some tea, please just try to calm down."

Eddy nodded his head and Ed stood up quietly from the couch to go help Nazz with the drinks. The house was mostly quiet save for the sound of Eddy's shoes on the hardwood floor, and the occasional clang or thump from the kitchen. Eddy tried to soak up what Nazz had said. He knew she was right, he needed to try and think of what Double D needed, he needed to put his friend first and try to be understanding. It was hard though.

It was hard because he'd already watched Edd fall for someone who had once treated him terribly. The guy had a history of falling for people who weren't the best, and he was scared that it would happen again with his brother. If it did happen again would Edd hide it from him like he'd done before? Would it turn into an argument like it had the last time? Would he lose his friend? He didn't know. He wasn't the guy with the answers, that was Edd.

Eddy could feel his mind racing, each thought barely finishing before the next one started. It was like a snowball racing too quickly down a mountain. It just kept gathering speed and growing in size. Could someone be crushed by the weight of their own spiraling thoughts, wondered to himself. It certainly felt like he might be crushed, that's why he kept moving. He felt that if he stopped his worries really would crush him.

The sound of a car moving down the street brought Eddy out of his spiral of doom and he moved quickly to the window to see who it was. To Eddy's disappointment it was just Johnny. Eddy's shoulders slumped a little as he pushed himself away from the window. When he turned around Nazz and Ed were walking back into the room. Nazz was walking carefully because she had a mug in each hand, Eddy could see the steam rising off of them. He walked across the room to take one of the mugs from her so she wouldn't slosh the hot liquid on herself. Ed was also holding a mug of steaming liquid, but in his other hand was a tray covered in cookies.

Eddy set his mug down on a coaster and grabbed the tray from Ed so he could place it in the center of the coffee table. If he didn't put it where everyone could reach Ed would end up eating most of the cookies. Eddy sat in the middle of the couch and Ed sat down quietly next to him.

Nazz sat next to Eddy on the couch as she spoke. "I made chamomile tea to try and help you calm down a little. If it doesn't help, I can give you something to help with your panic attack."

"Is that what this is?" Eddy asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Does your brain feel like it will never shut off? Does your heart feel like it's gonna pound its way right out of your body? Does it feel like no matter how many breaths you take you aren't getting enough air?" Nazz asked the questions without pausing to wait for an answer in between.

Eddy let out a tense chuckle. "It sounds like you already know the answer is yes."

"I think if Nazz can help you should let her." Ed chimed in. "She is pretty smart, Eddy"

Eddy nodded as he reached up to put a hand on Ed's shoulder. "You are very right about that, Big guy."

"And you're right to agree." Nazz chuckled before taking a small sip of her tea. "So do you want something for your anxiety or not?"

Edd thought about it for a moment before nodding. "Yeah, if it'll help slow down all this crap in my head, I'll try it."

Nazz reached into the bag that she had set on the floor beside her and pulled a prescription bottle out. "I never share these with anyone, and this is the only time I'm going to do this, okay?"

"I understand," Eddy promised.

She opened the bottle and pulled one of the tiny little pills out before handing it to Eddy who promptly took it.

"I suggest talking to a doctor or something if you keep having panic attacks like this." Nazz's voice was full of concern, and her eyes full of kindness.

Eddy just nodded his head in response. The panic, anger, and adrenaline had finally started fading out of his body and he started to feel the calm that Nazz had promised. He leaned his head back on the couch and closed his eyes. He could feel the tension in his shoulders relaxing and he realized how sore they were. He wondered if he was relaxing so quickly because of the tea or the medicine. It wasn't very long before he felt himself drifting off to sleep. He didn't fight it, as sore as his body felt he probably needed it.
