it's a companion piece to the one i did previously for one of my favourite pairings from Naruto - shikamaru & temari. i've already done shika's side of things. the following is just my take on what really goes on in temari's mind.

note : based on Nara Shikamaru & Temari of the Sand (Part II), from Naruto

She is from the desert plains
And understands the beauty of the sands
Where the winds rage by incessantly
Urged on by the strength of her hands

In a quest to seek power
Cloaked within the task apparent deceit
She misjudged an opponent greatly
And met with her first real defeat

He was just another boy
A lazy and reluctant one at that
But he was truly a genius
To make her fall into his trap

Though he deeply intrigues her
For he was like no one she knew before
Something within her is resistant
Even as it longs for much more

So as she looks to the sky
Filled with the lazy clouds drifting above
She tries and tries to convince herself
That she is not falling in love

forgive me for the corny title, i just couldn't resist! hehehhe i know its a little curt (i managed to cover the whole chuunin exam in 1 verse!) but i don't feel that temari thinks like other girls. to me, she's more the let's-cut-the-bullshit type of girl. she's in denial, yes, but still very straight forward.
