Severus's p.o.v.
I walk into Great hall and sit down at my usual place. Yesterday, my interaction with Evelyn gave me a sour taste trough most of the day, so today I have a lot of Gryffindors serving detention later on. Didn't quite think it trough since that means more work for me.
I pile my plate with food and eat breakfast in peace. Most professors don't talk to me and I'm okay with that. I always have been a loner, not much of a talker. I don't have bad blood with anyone, they just want to respect me the way I am and I appreciate that.
I'm almost done eating when Evelyn and Thor walk in. They walk pass me and sit a few seats away. I look at their direction and see that they're engaged in a conversation. Evelyn looks tense and focused on whatever they are discussing. She doesn't even notice me. I pull my eyes away from her, trying my best to ignore her presence. She's mad at me and I'm fully aware of that. Rejection was necessary ...maybe not as harsh but it needed to be done. Only a fool still thinks that Voldemort won't return eventually and I don't need a muggle by my side when that happens.
"Can I speak to you for a moment?", a voice drags me back and I see Draco standing in front of me.
"Follow me.", I say standing up and leaving Great Hall.
"Speak.", I say to him after we are alone in an hallway.
"Do I have to serve my detention with Stark?", he asks.
"No.", I say knowing this will piss her off even more.
"What if she insists?"
"Then tell her to come talk to me."
"I still can't believe that Dumbledore hired a muggle. Pathetic.", he says with disgust.
"We do not question his decisions."
"Well you should. He's making a mockery out of this school. If my father knew about this-"
"He won't because you won't tell him. That's the deal Draco. You don't have to serve detention as long as you don't say anything to your father."
He narrows his eyes, "Why does that matter to you?"
I step closer and lean down a little, "I ...don't ...have ...to justify ...myself ...to you."
He frowns, "I still don't agree with it."
"It doesn't matter what you agree to or not. We made a deal and you will respect that.", I say and walk away.
If Lucius finds out that Evelyn and Thor are here, he will run to the Ministry of Magic and complain like spoiled child. The Ministry doesn't care what he thinks but when they realize what Albus did, things could get heated and we don't need that. Draco has a bad temper and I know he gives most teachers a hard time but she will need to find another way to cope with him.
I enter my classroom and prepare for the day, also making a list of ingredients I have to pick up later on.
Evelyn's p.o.v.
"If we do this, someone has to know.", I say to Thor as we walk out for a run.
"Like someone from here?"
"Yes. And another Avenger. Just in case things go wrong."
"You have someone in mind?"
"Hagrid? He goes with us most of the time and knows the dangers of this mission."
Thor sighs, "You think he's skilled enough to handle Loki?"
"He would have to ask him. We need an alley here. If nothing else, someone who will cover Loki up. He can't stay in the castle."
"I'm aware of that. And what about our crew. Cap?"
I shake my head, "No, he's way to 'follow the orders' for this one."
Thor smiles, "Tony."
I smile back, "Yes."
"Call him."
I dial his number on my watch and he answers quickly, "Still no info, I'm sorry."
"Not calling because of that. Are you alone?", I ask.
"Yea.", he answers after a few seconds.
"I need to see you."
"What happened?"
"Nothing since yesterday but Thor and I maybe have a plan that Fury and the others must know nothing about."
"What is it?"
"Can you come over here? Is it even possible?"
"If my suits got here then so can I. Send me your location."
"Okay. Be here after nine. I will mark your landing spot."
"It's a deal. See you."
"Do you trust him with this?", Thor asks.
"I trust my brother with my life. He won't tell on us, don't worry."
"Okay. Come on, let's go."
We run around Hogwarts and a bit trough the forest but I miss the music playing. I make a note to myself to tell Tony to make that happen. After the run I take a shower and go to lunch. I don't see Severus there and that makes things a lot easier. After lunch, since it's my day off, I decide to explore the castle a bit more. Walking around, I talk to some paintings and learn a lot about Hogwarts history. One painting directs me to the second floor, to Wall of the great ...a place where students that accomplished something are honored. I go up there and, as I was told, I see a wall full of moving pictures and trophies. I admire each and every one of them. People are smiling and talking on the photos, they seem so happy. I suppose it is great to be a student here.
I stand in front of a big, golden trophy with three golden shields on it. Seeker, James Potter.
"What the fuck is a seeker?", I ask out loud.
"Seeker is a position in the wizarding sport of Quidditch.", someone says and I turn around, seeing Harry standing in front of me.
"There's one seeker per team. The goal of the seeker is to catch the Golden Snitch. The game does not end until the seeker catches the Snitch. James Potter was my father.", Harry tells me.
I frown, "Was?"
"He and my mother where killed in the wizard war.", he uses the word killed without hesitation.
Suddenly, I feel dumb for telling people that my parents died, not wanting to use words killed or murdered.
"I'm also a seeker.", he tells me proudly.
I smile, "You any good?"
"I suppose. We have a friendly game next Saturday. You wanna come?"
"Sure."
His smile grows bigger, "Great. I have to go now. I have homework to do and later detention with professor Snape."
I frown, "Detention? Why?"
He doesn't seem like someone who would be rude.
He shrugs, "I don't know. He put a lot of people in detention yesterday, more that usual. He hates Gryffindors for some reason. By the way, this is my mother. She was a great witch.". he tells me, pointing at a girl on a picture.
"Your class was great, I can't wait for more. I think you and Thor are really interesting.", he tells me and I smile, "Thank you."
"Well, I need to go now. Bye."
I look at the picture he pointed me to and gasp. The girl in this photo is the same girl as in Severus's photo.
Lily Evans. She's the girl Severus was in love with. Harry's mother. That's why he doesn't like him.
My attention is drawn to Draco, who passes right by me.
"Mister Malfoy, don't forget about your detention later on.", I yell after him.
He turns around, "I won't come."
I lift my eyebrows, "Excuse me?"
"I won't come. If you have any questions, talk to professor Snape.", he tells and walks away.
I'm going to kill him.
I'm walking towards Snape's lab, filled with rage. I did want to face him at dinner but Thor convinced me that was not a good idea.
I knock three times and after a few seconds, he opens the door.
"Your potion.", he tells, hanging a black bottle to me.
"You told Draco that he doesn't have to serve detention?", I ask enraged.
"Yes."
"Why?"
"I have my reasons."
"That's it?", I ask in disbelieve.
"Yes."
"Are you kidding me?"
"No."
"So you're gonna shelter a student without reasoning?"
"Yes."
I swear to God I could break his arm right now.
"Fine! Then Harry doesn't have to serve detention with you."
He frowns, "Excuse me?"
"Yes. If you can have a favorite then I can have a favorite.", I say, snatching the bottle from his hand and drinking it.
"You have no right-"
"And nor do you, but here we are."
"Am I interrupting?", I hear Harry's voice next to me.
"No, not at all honey.", I say, making sure that I'm extra polite to him.
"Come here Potter.", Snape tells him.
"No.", I say, putting my arm on Harry's shoulder, "You can go."
"But ...I have detention.", he tells, looking from me to Snape.
"No you don't. Go now.", I say and he looks at me with hesitation. I smile, "You can leave. Go."
"Why did you do that?", Severus asks as he walks away.
"I doubt that Harry did anything similar to what Draco did.", I say.
"It's not about Draco. It's about something much more serious. Don't mess with the boy because you will get hurt. His father-"
"I don't give a fuck who his father is."
"Well you should because he can kill you in a blink of an eye."
I step closer to him, "And why would that concern you?"
"You're right, why would it? Have a nice evening.", he tells me, slamming the door in my face.
