Evelyn's p.o.v.
Cedric Diggory is in the arena right now, trying his best to fight the dragon and get the egg. For now, except dragons flying around, the tournament is peaceful.
Thor took his assignment seriously so he's standing straight and still, his hammer placed between his legs. Loki on the other hand is, well Loki. He's sitting down, his right hand under his chin, looking pretty unimpressed. For me, this is getting kinda boring, and that's not a bad thing. I have my dagger out, playing with it and waiting for Harry to enter the arena. Everyone is cheering and the area thats usually very peaceful is now loud and full of people yelling random things.
Cedric gets his egg and everyone starts jumping and clapping.
"Our last competitor is Harry Potter from Hogwarts!", Albus yells and a confused and scared Harry Potter takes the scene.
Everyone's yelling his name while he looks around, scanning the area.
"Hey!", I yell and, since I'm the closest to him, he looks at me, fear written all over his face.
"You can do this!", I say, giving him two thumbs up.
"And what if I can't?!", he yells back.
"You don't have a choice!", Loki yells to him, now standing up.
I pick up a small rock and trow it his way, hitting him in the arm.
"Hey!", he frowns, looking at me.
"If you don't have anything nice to say, be quiet, dumbass."
"This is very supporting!", Harry yells sarcastically.
"Watch out!", I yell just in time for Harry to dodge dragons tale hitting the ground text to him. Rocks fly everywhere and he swings one come but harry manages to roll and a void it.
"Shit.", I comment.
Honestly, this tournament has no sense to me. You have to be, what, seventeen to participate? I wouldn't participate in this shit. They are children and it all seems so barbaric.
The dragon spits fire and I feel the heat hit my face.
"Step away, you're too close!", I hear Thor yell and nod in agreement.
Harry's situation's getting worse and worse. I make a painful face as the dragon hits Harry with his tail, sending his flying across the arena.
"This is going to hurt tomorrow!", I hear Loki yell.
I don't object because he's right. If Harry makes it to tomorrow. Now I'm getting worried but I know there's nothing I can do.
"Your wand Harry! Your wand!", Hermione yells and Harry says something but nothing actually happens.
It took me a moment to notice his broom flying towards him. Harry hides from fire behind a big rick and when the broom is close enough, he jumps on it and everyone starts to clap and cheer.
Suddenly, the dragon gets loose from his chain, and in the process of chasing Harry, destroys a part of the arena where teachers are sitting.
"Is this supposed to happen?!", I yell.
"I don't know.", Thor comments, worriedly.
"Are we supposed to do something?", he asks me after a few moments.
Loki laughs, "It's a dragon! What the hell are you two going to do?"
"Offer him you as his dinner.", I say, turning to Loki.
In the distance, we can see Harry and Hiccups the dragon having a pleasant encounter at Hogwarts roofs.
"Ladies and gentleman, right now the castle is getting destroyed, like it wasn't in a shitty state before that. Someone's going to be playing Bob the builder after this.", Loki comments enthusiastically.
"I hope this is nowhere near my room.", I comment, making a painful face as tower parts fly around.
A few heart attacks, Harry flies back and snatches the golden egg. I clap, smiling as he gets off his broom and shows everyone the egg.
"I told you you can do it!", I yell and he smiles at me.
"Look, a shooting star!", someone from the audience yells and I look up, my smile fading.
"This is not a star.", I say as something round and metal shoots towards us.
Flipping my dagger, I trow it at the ball, making it fall in the arena.
"Stay up here!", I say to Thor and Loki as I jump down.
"Be careful!", Thor warns me.
"What is this?", Harry asks me as we tower over the ball.
"Step back.", I say, placing my foot on it and pulling the dagger out of it.
Suddenly, a beam of blue light shoots out of the ball, starting to from a dome over us.
"Run!", I yell at Harry but we where not fast enough.
Just before the dome is fully formed, I hear a crash and, turning around, see a tall, black haired man, dressed in a blue and white dress-like suit, looking at me, smiling.
I touch the see trough dome, realizing it's a wall and we're trapped inside.
"Shit.", I comment under my breath.
"Evelyn. Nice to finally meet you.", the man speaks with his deep voice and I turn around, pulling my gun out.
"No, no.", he tells, spreading his arm and Harry flies towards him.
"Let the boy go.", I say walking towards, him at my gun point.
His arms are firmly wrapped around Harry, his sword pressed on his neck, "Not until you get rid of your gun.", he tells, making a cut on Harry's neck.
Harry shuts his eyes in pain as blood runs down his neck. I drop my gun on the ground, walking away from it.
The man smiles, "Good girl.", and trows Harry away from him.
"Go back. Go back!", I say at Harry who crawls behind a rock.
I hear Thor banging on the dome with his hammer but without any luck. The damn thing isn't breaking.
"It won't work. Whatever he does, he won't break it.", the man comments, smirking.
"Who are you?", I ask.
"My name isn't important. I came here to do a job and I never fail.", he tells, swinging his sword as he walks towards me.
"Well, you will this time.", I say, pulling out my sword.
He laughs, "You actually think you have a chance against an Asgardian? Foolish human."
"Why don't we find out.", I say, making the first swing.
Thor always told me to attack first and never show fear. Even though my heart is pounding like crazy, I try to stay cold and unimpressed. Great tactic, right?
He block my attack easily. We stand like this for a few seconds, swords crossed, looking in each others eyes. Suddenly, his appearance starts to feel weirdly familiar. Not like ...a memory but like a feeling. I narrow my eyes, trying way too hard to put him somewhere and that makes me loose my focus so he uses my moment of inattention and, turning around himself, strikes me with his long sword but fortunately, I react in time and avoid his attach by taking a few steps back and banding my body backwards. He swings again and I block the attack, taking my dagger out and try to stab him but he grabs my wrist, inches away from his collar bone. He turns my wrist around, making me drop the dagger. I realize I'm about to loose my balance so I push my foot in his knee and he lets go, backing away a little. I use this situation to attack multiple times but he dodges every of my attempts to hurt him with ease.
I start to breathe heavily. Most of my combats are with a gun and, even though Thor and I train regularly, it's hard to calm my body and make sure I don't waste my energy.
All of a sudden, I hear thunder so I look up, seeing Thor doing his Godly magic. The Asgardian uses my distraction and digs his foot into my stomach, making me hit the cave wall with my back and head. Before I can even open my eyes properly, I feel the cold metal blade perching trough my suit and into my body, pinning me against the cave. I never felt a feeling like this. The level of pain makes me unable to make any noise, even breathing is difficult. Opening my eyes, I see the man smirking.
"I told you you aren't cut out for this.", he whispers in my ear, his voice sending shivers down my spine.
"Think again.", I mumble as my knee says Good morning America to his balls.
He curls up so I hit him in his shoulder with my foot, making him fall on the ground. I grit my teeth's, grabbing the leather handle of his sword and pulling it out of my shoulder area. I read that people can function, for a short term, with bad injuries because the adrenaline is really high and that pushes you forward. So I don't have a lit of time and I have to be quick and efficient.
I swing the sword towards him but he dodges and stands up. In the meantime, I pick my sword up and, since he's unarmed, I feel advantaged.
"Well, you are stronger than I expected, I give you that. As much as I would love to continue this, my time is limited and, well, I have to go. I've seen everything I needed.", he tells.
I frown, "What?"
He makes a motion with his hand, teleporting his sword back to him and disappears. And he does that right on time because I feel my blood pressure drop down quickly, making my vision blurry and my legs weak. I drop my sword and fall on my knees, right before everything goes black.
Harry's p.o.v.
"Evelyn!", I scream as her body hits the ground. I ran towards her, picking her in my arms. She's pale and her breathing is very slow. I drag my wand out, performing a healing spell that I know will do some kind of good.
"Evie!", I hear Thor call out, running towards us.
By now, everyone's either screaming or running into the arena. Thor takes her from me and I stand up, looking at her lifeless body.
"Go to the castle.", Dumbledore tells, dragging me away from her.
"She's going to be okay, right?", I ask in fear.
"Go away, boy!" Go to the castle!", he yells but I'm not really paying attention to him, my eyes still glued to Evie.
"She's gong to be alright, right? She's not dead, right?", I repeat myself.
"Minerva! Take him away!", Dumbledore calls professor McGonagall as he returns to the scene.
By now, Snape picked her up and they are rushing towards the castle. All I can think of is if I did everything I could.
"Harry!", Hermione yells, running towards me.
"Are you okay? Is your neck okay?", he asks, lifting my shin up.
"I'm fine.", I say, trowing the golden egg onto the sofa.
"What in the bloody hell happened out there?", Ron asks as students in the common room start to gather up.
"Is she okay?", I ask, ignoring his question.
Hermione shakes her head, "We don't know anything."
"I'm going to bed.", I say, walking pass everyone.
"What about the egg?", Neville asks.
"I don't care about the damn egg.", I say, running upstairs and shutting the door behind me.
Evelyn's p.o.v.
I open my eyes slowly, blinded by the light in the room. My head hurts like hell and, after adjusting to the strong hospital lightning, the first person I see is Loki.
"Ugh, you're alive.", he tells disappointed.
"Did I die and go to hell?", I ask, my voice breaking in the process.
"No but I did have that dream a few days ago. It was magical.", he tells me with a smile.
He's sitting on a chair, his legs resting on my bed.
"What are you doing here?", I say, looking around and straightening up a little.
"Keeping you safe, apparently.", he informs me.
I raise an eyebrow, "You are keeping me safe?"
"Yea, I'm not too happy about it either but Fury called Thor and he's out having a conversation while Snape is in class."
"I feel like shit.", I say, stretching a little.
"You look like shit.", he tells and I angrily push his legs with my feet of my bed.
"How long was I out?", I ask.
"Two days.", he informs me.
"Well, that was enough of lying down.", I say, uncovering myself and stepping out of the bed.
"Not that I care, but I don't think you should be walking", Loki tells me, standing up.
"I feel fine.", I say while stretching.
He frowns, "That's weird. Nothing hurts you?"
"My eyes. Because I'm looking at you.", I say and he walks away, "I'm out, you're on your own."
"Merry Christmas to me.", I say with a smile.
"Where are you going?", I hear Thor ask Loki.
"She's up, already annoying me so you take it from here.", he informs him.
"Evie.", Thor runs inside, looking at me like he's seeing a ghost.
"Did you tell Tony about what happened?", I ask.
"No, just Fury.", he tells me.
"He's smart, he won't tell Tony.", I say relieved.
"You ...feel fine?", he asks, looking me up and down.
"Yea. Whatever they did, they did it right. I feel great.", i say with a smile.
"You almost died.", he tells me.
"But I didn't. Where's my suit? Who undressed me?", I ask, looking around.
"Umm, Poppy."
"I'm hungry. What time is it?", I ask, feeling my stomach hurt a little.
"Lunch time.", he tells, still confused about me being able to function normally.
I smile, "Well, let's go eat!"
"Your arm doesn't hurt?", he asks as I'm walking pass him.
"A bit sore but that's all. Come on, I'm hungry."
