Author's Note: This takes place immediately after 12.04 "Blame it on the Rain" I had been wondering how Dubenko came to find out about the date he thanked Abby for in "Wake Up" the follow episode. This is what I came up with.

"She's a professional, I'm a professional. We're both professionals."

The evening hadn't gone the way he had initially intended; he wasn't with the right woman for starters but still Lucien Dubenko snuggled into his bed with a satisfied smirk. Beside him, the leggy brunette laughed, a subdued sound, as she rolled over to face him.

"Pleased with yourself, are you?" She smiled at him and he couldn't help but nod.

"I…I'd like to see you. Again. More…" He paused, telling himself that being nervous now was a bit absurd, he'd already managed to get her into bed not that it had been a challenge really. She had been more than willing after only just meeting him hours before. He cleared his throat and made a second attempt at his request. "Tonight was exceptional, Shawna and I'd really like the chance to get to know you better…"

This time he stopped because the woman was shaking her head and sitting up in bed as if ready to leave. "I don't think…"

He interrupted her, a hand on her arm. "Please wait, stay. It's late, you should stay."

She smiled kindly at him and shook her head as she took his hand from her arm. "Lou…look, I'm just going to say this and get it over with. I'm not interested in a relationship. That's not what I'm here for. I did this as a favor to Dr. Lockhart."

The curly haired surgeon blinked rapidly in confusion as he looked at his evening's companion. "I don't understand…I, she…she asked you to?"

"She saved my ass today in front of a client's wife. I owed her one." The woman shrugged. "I'm not complaining, don't get me wrong, honey. I've definitely been with worse, much worse." She was out of the bed now and getting dressed. "You wouldn't believe some of the guys, even women, I've been with…"

His abdomen clenched and he could feel bile rise in his throat as he began to understand what had transpired between them. "Are you telling me that you are a…I mean you…have clients…"

"Satisfaction facilitator." She supplied for him. "I give men, sometimes women, the one thing they aren't otherwise getting from their significant other and then everybody's happy. It's a living." She was looking for her shoes as she spoke.

He felt disgusted. With himself, with this woman and with Abby Lockhart for doing this to him. He had asked her, as a friend, to be there for him and when she said she couldn't he thought he understood. Then when Shawna had introduced herself as a friend of Abby's and said she had been told about his situation, wanted to help, he thought that perhaps Abby was trying to set him up with someone. No, instead she had sent a prostitute to him. He closed his eyes and shook his head slowly, making a painful decision.

"Please, I'd like you to stay the night." He looked at her directly, almost challenging her to say no.

Instead she sat back down on the bed and looked at him, her head cocked to one side. "If I stay, it'll cost you. Only the first time was free."

"I'll write you a check."
