Axel walked into the dining room, he smelled something sweet. He liked sweet things. He sniffed again and realized the smell was coming from the joining room, the kitchen.

Puzzled by this, he walked towards the kitchen. To his knowledge, none of the Nobody's could cook. He opened the door and saw a very content Demyx.

Demyx had an ungloved finger in his mouth, with a smile curled around it. He had some pasty mix on his face that made his cheek glisten in the lighting. Axel just stared at him for a second.

"Demyx?" Axel said in shock.

The blonde took the finger out of his mouth and walked over to the sink to wash his hands. He cocked his head, smiling, at Axel. "Yes?"

"What are you doing?" the red head asked.

"Baking a cake," he replied simply, walking back over to the mix of ingredients in a large tin bowl.

Axel watched the sweetness pour into a pan. Licking his lips, he sad, "I didn't know you could cook. Can I have some when it's done?"

"If Luxord says so."

Axel was caught off guard. "Luxord? Why Luxord?

Demyx gave a broad grin. "It's our anniversary."

Axel gave a troubled look. "I hate to burst your bubble… but you two aren't going out. You never have and more than likely never will."

Demyx stopped grinning and nodded. "But it's been one year since I joined Organization XIII and met him. So… I baked him a cake!"

"Where's my cake?" Axel asked excitedly.

Demyx looked perplexed. "Huh?"

"You met Luxord and me on the same day… Where's my anniversary cake?"

Demyx looked at Axel with a blank expression. "You don't have one…"

Defeated, Axel sighed. "You have such a one-track mind."

The blonde grinned sheepishly and blushed. He took the pan and placed it in the oven. As time passed, Axel could smell the cake all over the castle as it cooked. It tormented him to know that the cake would go to the obnoxious, thoughtless, cold-hearted (if he had one) bastard, Luxord who only cared about gambling with the other members for personal belongings.

"Curse you, Demyx," Axel growled as he neared the kitchen. He entered to ask if he could atleast have a crumb from the cake that radiated sweetness, but left seeing something he didn't want to see. He never wanted to see Luxord doing anything romantic with anyone… but today he had. And it made him want to puke.
