MM Browsing: No, EMIYA Assassin won't be here. I'm sticking only to EMIYA Archer and Shirou Emiya.
Reconic32: Yes, this has some AU aspects, as I've decided to mix a little bit of both. Basically mostly UBW but having some HF sprinkled in.
The Slysage: I am trying lmao.
Legend:
"Clean your room!" Archer speaking.
"Please, clean your room" Shirou speaking.
"Why me!" Jaune speaking with his thoughts.
"You did great for your first proper fight, Jaune" Shirou said, trying to cheer me up.
"That Ice Bitch does like to get in everyone's spaces"
"Archer!""Archer!" Both Shirou and I yelled at him.
"What? Isn't that what she is? Her attitude needs work, she needs to learn how to read the atmosphere, and she needs to be humbled... Immediately" Oum, he certainly does not hold back with his mouth.
"Ok, ok! I get it that Weiss is... Temperamental, but she's a good person!" Why does it feels like the both of them are giving me a blank stare.
"I am not going to comment"
"Wake up Jaune, no matter what you do. She won't recognize you. Hell, she only went and talked to Pyrrha because of Pyrrha's reputation as a three year champion" Wait, hold up! Pyrrha's a champion?!
"And yes, Pyrrha is a champion"
"Wha- How did you?!"
"It's simple really, remember the time where when you took a glance at Cardin's weapon. You suddenly gained knowledge of it, how it was forged, it was used, and the crimes against Faunus both Father and Child has done?" Ouch, you don't have me to remind me. That was an... enlightening moment, so to say. Huh, I mean. I know how Faunus are being treated, but seeing how it was done like a memory?
"Yes, that is called Structural Analysis. Though normally you need to concentrate on an object for it to work, but you... You've somehow just unlocked it like those games Nora forced you to play" Shirou explained, though somewhat uncertain with his last bit.
"I mean, I was concentrating" True enough, I was actually focused on how to handle Cardin. So maybe that's how it triggered?
"Makes sense, though you should keep practicing the stance Pyrrha thought you. It's helpful against opponents that rely too much on brute strength. Though it's not a perfect strategy" Archer commented, making sure to tell me the flaw of using it against stronger, smarter opponents.
"Indeed, Cardin was too focused on trying to crush you, which gave you the opening to make him lose balance" Ah Shirou, why are you such a good guy? I'd prefer talking to you in person than Archer.
"But back on topic. Weiss needs to learn how to not be a spoiled brat" And there he goes. I mean, I guess it's going to be trouble for her teammates, but all I can do is try to help Ruby with her.
"Yeah, yesterday after the match was... Something I'd like to avoid" I shuddered at the way how Weiss basically chewed me out for copying Pyrrha. Though thankfully, Team RBY managed to keep her from saying anything more derogatory.
She calmed down after Pyrrha explained how I know her stance, but it still didn't make her glare diminish for a slight bit.
"That's sugar" I blinked before checking the condiment I'm holding. Thank you Shirou.
"My bad, thinking about yesterday is just so stressful" I replied before putting down the sugar and brought out the salt. Cooking a heavy meal for breakfast to help with my bulk is difficult, though cooking helps me calm down.
"Be careful not to burn the lamb, and finely chop the cilantro" Shirou helpfully reminded me. Still, to think I'm cooking this much for myself is something I need to get used to.
Thankfully I was allowed to use the cafeteria kitchen as many students likes to cook their own food as well. But I have to stick to the student side as to not be a nuisance to the Chiefs.
"By the way, what's this recipe called?" I asked Shirou, but Archer was the one who answered instead.
"Lamb of Gains, a good meal for lean bulking. As you are more lean, than bulky." Ah, I see. But do you really have to insult me as well?
"Archer, an explanation was enough. The insult wasn't needed" I heard a huff of annoyance from Archer.
"Oh hey Jaune. Cooking your own meal?" I paused before looking behind me and found Yang, Blake, and Pyrrha behind me.
"Oh hey girls. I uhh, yeah. A friend recommended me a recipe to help me bulk up a bit more" I sheepishly replied, awkward as everyone glanced behind me to see what I was cooking... Except for Yang, she pushed me aside to check.
"Ooh, Lamb of Gains. Been a while since I ate that. Used to be part of my daily routine, but now I moved on to bigger meals" Yang happily said, taking in the scent of the sizzling lamb.
"Hm, Lamb is good though I like fish better" Blake commented. I sometimes wonder if she's a cat. I mean, look at her overall appearance! With her bow, she reminds me of a cat with her golden eyes.
"Jaune, turn off the heat now. Lest it burns" Ah right! Quickly excusing myself. I made my way around Yang who now stood beside the stove and turned off the heat.
"Where's everyone else?" I asked again.
"Nora and Ren are already at the table. Both having pancakes" Pyrrha cheerily replied.
"Poor boy" Shirou?
"Well, we should join them too after we get our team their own meals" Yang said before grabbing two plates as Blake did the same, both of them then went over the already prepared meals by the Chefs.
"You should join them too Pyr, I'll follow as soon as I'm done here" I told Pyrrha, who seems a little downtrodden but nonetheless nodded and joined the two girls in grabbing their meals.
I then made my way over them after plating my food, and everyone immediately paused as they smelt the scent of my food.
"Woah, is Lamb supposed to smell that good?" Ruby asked, mouth watering and her eyes sparkling.
"I already smelled it earlier, but now that the smell of other food being cooked is gone" Yang commented, clearly enjoying the smell alongside everyone else, except for Weiss. Who looks like she wants to say something but is holding herself back.
"Well, I did make more than the normal amount. Why not taste some?" Their eyes immediately sparkled. Even Weiss who tried her best to look uninterested.
"Well Chef! Don't mind if we do!" Yang was the first one to take a spoonful with her own spoon.
She let out a sensual moan. Thus the chain reaction of everyone blushing, except for Ren. Who has his ears covered by a blushing Nora.
Yang caught us staring at her, and she blushed in embarrassment.
"H-Hey uh... Can you guys not stare?" For the first time since I've meet her. I was greeted with the sight of a strong attitude woman, become embarrassed.
"Was it really that good?" Now it was Blake's turn, and I swear to Oum her bow twitched. Her face flushed red as she stopped herself from embarrassing herself, by covering her mouth, as a moan threatened to leave her mouth.
"I-I think I'll pass" Ruby tried to run, but Yang caught her and force fed her a spoon.
"Sorry sis, but this is too good to pass up"
Immediately she went limp, her face redder than her cloak as she tried so hard not to do the same as Yang. But her eyes are telling a different story. Now once full of childish excitement, now is filled with a glazed haze as she continued to chew.
She didn't say anything as she swallowed, but once her mind caught up. Her eyes immediately landed on my plate, then back to me, then back to my plate, then back to me.
I felt awkward seeing this side of Ruby. Especially since her eyes reminds me of a puppy.
"I-It's fine Ruby, you can take another" As soon as I said those words, her spoon blurred. In under a second, she's now back into being hypnotized by my food.
Yang couldn't help but laugh at her, but she was ignored as Ruby continued to chew, only slower this time. Enjoying every last flavour as she ignored the world around her.
"Well, that happened. Would you like some, Pyrrha?" I asked my partner, who embarrassingly nodded.
With her own spoon, she scooped a spoonful and as soon as the food reached her mouth. Her eyes went wide.
"Oh my Oum Jaune, it's delicious!" She said, impressed with my cooking.
"How did you make it more delicious than how I remembered it?" Yang asked, fully recovered and stared me down.
"I uh, well. I have seven sisters... So I learned from my eldest and my younger sisters can get a little persuasive" I replied with a straight face. I mean, having to deal with seven sisters is enough to drive anyone wild. Not only I have to keep up with the youngest's shenanigans, but I have to help out around the house more as my eldest sister is living with her girlfriend. While the second eldest is attending Hunter School.
Yang scrutinized me, but seeing that I wasn't lying. Merely nodded and gave Pyrrha a smirk. Who in turn blushed again.
"Well Jauney boy, better keep doing what you do best!" And with that, they returned to eating their own food, but I can tell. They're somewhat disappointed by the taste.
The day went along smoothly, well... Except for the fact that Weiss kept looking at me like she's going to say something, but couldn't bring herself to.
"Serves her right. Keep ignoring her, let the guilt eat her" Sheesh, the guy can hold a grudge.
"Don't mind him, try to start a conversation? Maybe that would help ease her into saying whatever she wants to say to you" I mean... That could work?
But instead of doing any of those, I was approached by Weiss herself.
"Hey um, Jaune? Can I speak speak with you for a moment?" She asked, clearly awkward and definitely would rather be anywhere than here.
I smiled, trying to ease her awkwardness. Which may or may not have worked, mostly due to her giving me a blank stare before she took a deep breath and exhaled softly.
"I would like to apologize for what has happened yesterday. Clearly I should've expected you to be training alongside Pyrrha, but unfortunately. I wasn't particularly listening to the conversation back then" Ah, I guess that's alright?
"Ah, It was just a misunderstanding of course, so it's no problem" I replied.
"No, it was clearly my fault so as a token of my apology. If you are struggling in any of your lessons, I am willing to help" She stated, wanting to clear up her mistake.
"She sounds like Rin back then" Who's Rin?
"Ah well... If you don't mind then, maybe you could help me with Math? I'm not the best at that" I said, seeing no other options.
A smile graced her features as she immediately sat down next to me.
"Very well, I admit that I am quick to judge a character but I try to be a better person. So, which part are you having problems on?" And she's back. I guess she likes it when people wants to rely on her, but I suppose it does feels good to be relied on.
Thankfully, no one from our teams are in the library, as they most likely have plans on their own.
"Hm, I suppose she's trying. But after this, we go back to meditating. See if you could learn how to use Structural Analysis on command and Tracing" Good point, maybe after I'm done with my assignment.
"Are you paying attention Jaune?" Weiss suddenly asked, making me blink back to reality.
"Uh yeah, just trying to get everything memorized" She nodded at my answer.
"I see, but here's a mistake. You used the wrong equation, resulting in the wrong answer. This one too is wrong, you got the calculation wrong on that one" She continued to list down my mistakes, which I didn't mind. Though I must admit, she does look cute when she's like this... I wonder if she looks good with glasses. OH MY OUM SHE HAS GLASSES!
"Jaune, is there something on my face?" She suddenly asked, catching me taking a glance on her face often.
"Uh well, I just find this side of you... Cute" I shyly looked away as I said those words, while scratching the back of my head.
I didn't hear her reply, so I looked back, only to find a tinge of red dusting her face.
"I-I see... Still trying to take a shot?" She asked, knowing full well what I've been doing before.
"Ah, well... No, not anymore. I just genuinely think you look cute doing this and all" I honestly replied, causing Archer to let out an amused huff.
"Really smooth Lover Boy, what's next? You gonna compliment her eyes?" Archer said mockingly.
"She does have beautiful eyes" Shirou!
"What?! No! I'm not trying to ruin this by immediately trying to flirt!" I hastily and angrily replied.
"Yeah sure, you do you. Just don't blame me when things go south, especially when one of the professors decide to do something related to sports" I can sense him hiding something from me. Even Shirou is oddly quiet.
She looked away, but the red tips of her ears is a clear sign that she blushing.
"I admit that, that was rather... Unprofessional of me, trying to immediately flirt and all. So I guess I have something to apologize too" I awkwardly said, to which she looked back at me with a still blushing face but with a small frown.
"You idiot, now's not the time for that! Do you want me to help you or not?!" She silently yelled at me, as to not disturb the other students in the library.
Though the glare she sent me made me straighten up.
"Uh yes ma'am! Sorry ma'am!" She huffed, but nonetheless returned to teaching me the proper calculations and processes.
"Where am I?" I asked no one but myself.
All I see is darkness. Not a single speck of light as I float within this murky abyss. Until I felt something tug within me.
"Ack! Wha- What the hell is happening?!" My body curled up in pain, as all I felt was burning.
My nerves suddenly glowed light green, slowly, painfully. It's source coming from my heart and slowly spreading throughout my pain filled body.
Then the pain abruptly stopped.
"What... What was that?"
"Sorry Jaune, that would be us unlocking your Magical Circuits. Though we had to temporarily use your nerves as the initial circuits" I heard Shirou behind me, and when I turned around. I saw a mop of messy red hair, amber eyes that almost look like rust, and a pale but healthy skin complexion. He stood a good head above me, and I'm pretty tall for my age.
"Shirou?" He smiled, awkwardly waving a hand in front of me.
"Yeah, it's me. It's nice to finally meet you in person... Well technically spirit, as we are within your dream but I digress" He laughed softly at the last part.
"Wait, I'm in a dream?" He nodded.
"Yes, this is the only way for us to meet somewhat properly"
"And the only way for me to actually get a hold of you" I froze. I recognize that voice beside me.
"H-Hey Archer... Nice weather huh?" I gulped nervously as he stared me down.
He has silver hair, and steel grey eyes. Dark exotic skin, and he is definitely taller than Shirou... What the hell kind of giants are they?!
"I'm impressed Jaune. Your Aura reserve is vast, and your Circuits are of above average quality with an impressive amount of production. No wonder your Aura quickly replenishes" He praised me... He praised me!?
"But don't expect me to praise you often. Now that we've unlocked your Magic Circuits, I believe we should explain how this works" He suddenly said, making me shiver. Wait, if this is a dream. Then how am I feeling everything?!
"Don't worry Jaune, this won't take long" Shirou tried his best to calm me down, but the constant smug smirk of Archer doesn't make me feel safe.
"Now be ready, once we're done explaining. I'm going to make sure you memorize everything" His grin grew wider.
"I'm going to get hurt aren't I?" Shirou's only reply was an awkward laugh. Clearly knowing he couldn't do anything to stop Archer.
"Better get comfortable, this will last some time"
END.
