FrostyLOL: Mayhaps

MM Browsing: By order. Yes , mayhaps, yes but Aura helped with that, and who knows?

Legend:

"Clean your room!" Archer Speaking

"Please clean your room" Shirou Speaking

"Why me!" Jaune speaking in his thoughts

"Good, now try to focus on projecting a weapon" I furrowed my brows in exertion. Sweat ran down my face as I feel my body heating up and glowing light blue lines appeared on my arms.

After what happened a few days ago, Archer and Shirou has been doing their best on teaching me Projection, Structural Analysis, Reinforcement and other Magus related stuff. Though they told me not to worry about people finding out I'm learning Magecraft, as Aura is literally magic now that Archer finally got a firm grip on me.

Reinforcement is kind of scary though, one wrong estimation and pop! whatever organ in reinforcing or object, goes boom. Aura can heal wounds, but not lost limbs and organs!

Not only that, the dreams I've been having apparently are Shirou's memories. Ugh, I do not want to get my arm ripped off like that. But still, I don't get it why they are so hostile with each other when I'm not in the middle of decision making.

Finally, I felt some sort of energy leaving me, and on my hand. A mundane dagger formed from thin air. It's a simple dagger, with a straight and short blade, around four inches long, and a handle that is more build for smaller, slender hands.

It's a carving dagger, specifically made for one of my older sisters. She sometimes hunt for game in the forest near our home and she enjoys the thrill of the hunt apparently.

"Hm, pretty good for your first proper try. Though we will need to work on your speed on projecting weapons" Shirou commented.

"Well, thanks to your sage advice. I can now project weapons" I thanked Shirou.

"Ah, no need for thanks Jaune. I was just doing what Archer wouldn't normally do" Oh no.

"Hm, you're right. Just don't go crying to Rin when it gets you killed someday" Honestly, the way they speak almost makes them sound like siblings. Also, apparently. Shirou decided it was a good time to tell me why he was here.

Apparently, he's still alive. Rather, his Fiance/Girlfriend's teacher, a Vampire that can travel the multiverse. Asked him a favor to motivate his Fiance/Girlfriend, Rin. To increase her efforts in learning the Second True Magic.

But the weird part is why he is stuck inside my body. Because the Second True Magic is literally only just Multiversal Traveling, and Multiversal related powers.

They also warned me about how their souls are slowly changing my own. Though not in the sense where they will replace me. More of, my Soul is becoming more similar to theirs.

No wonder why everyone found my attitude odd. As Yang said it, my dorky self is still there, just muted. While Weiss commented on how my critical thinking skills has somewhat improved.

While Pyrrha was at first concerned, but I assured her that it's nothing serious. Though I couldn't help but notice her sending me worried glances here and there.

I also found myself commenting on weapons, much to Ruby's delight. That also meant I'm going to be joining her in reviewing some famous Huntsmen weapons later this afternoon, as today was a Half Day because tomorrow, we are going to the Forever Fall forest.

"Now dismiss the blade and project another one" Archer said, bringing me back from my little reminiscing.

"Project a kitchen knife and use it" Shirou told me, and I realized why he wanted me to do that. Mostly because it's to check the quality and train my Reinforcement.

I started chopping the spring onions, bok choy, bell peppers, red onion and other ingredients for my breakfast.

"Do they have a wok here?" A wok? Hold on.

I washed my hands with water and dried them on my towel that I stashed in the pocket of my apron. Before asking one of the cooks, to which the immediately pointed me to one of the cabinets.

Placing the wok down, I head on back to my work and placed the now room temperature beef on the cutting board. I was about to start cutting when I heard someone call my name.

I turned around and found Ruby, Weiss, Ren, Nora, and Pyrrha walking towards me. Thankfully the kitchen area for the students are large enough to accommodate two teams.

"Hey guys, and a surprise Ruby is awake at this time" I glanced at the wall clock and it's directly on six-thirty.

"Thaw would be me. She could use some early exercises in the morning" Weiss answered for Ruby, who looked offended. But looking at her pout, reminds me of one of my younger siblings.

"Ah, I suppose that's a good reason. How about Yang and Blake?" I asked, as I returned to cutting the beef.

"Oh they're still getting ready" Ruby answered this time, and tried to look smug about it.

"I see, hey Ren. You guys going for pancakes again?" I asked Ren this time.

"No actually, Nora is banned for pancakes after what happened yesterday" He calmly said, while Nora is crying crocodile tears on Pyrrha's shoulders.

"Ah, right..." I shivered at remembering how Nora found the syrup.

"What are you cooking anyway?" Now it's Pyrrha that asked. Curious on what I'm making.

"Beef stir fry"

"Oh? It's been a while since I've tasted that" Ah right, I forgot that Pyrrha is actually Mistralian, though in Shirou's words, Asian with European inspiration. I don't know what that means, but I guess their world has the same food as ours?

"Hm, well if you don't mind waiting. I can make a little bit more if you want some?"

"Oh! Fearless Leader is cooking for us! Like I'd pass!" Nora ever so enthusiastically answered for Pyrrha. Who smiled and nodded at me.

"Well, if I'm not bothering. Then I wouldn't mind" She said.

"How about you two?" I asked Weiss and Ruby.

"Hm, well I suppose it doesn't hurt to taste something new" Weiss said, as Ruby has stars in her eyes and nodded vigorously.

"Hm, well I'll bring it once I'm done. And tell Yang and Blake" I told them as they left me to cook.

"Why am I feeling such a massive Deja Vu " I ignored him, mostly because the two of them have started arguing. Oh well, better start making it before I get distracted by their bickering.

"Well, that happened" I hid around the corner hiding from an on the hunt Weiss.

"Mr Arc, is there a problem?" I flinched as I heard someone behind me.

I turned around, and immediately felt fear coursing through my body as both Professor Ozpin and Professor Goodwitch stared at me, like I'm some sort of deranged murder hobo.

"Ah! Professors! No, uhm! Everything is fine!" And like they'll believe that!

"Clearly, though an explanation would be enlightening as to why you are clearly running from someone" Professor Ozpin said, clearly seeing through me.

"Ah, well you see Professors. I'd like to explain but, I find it hard to believe myself" I chuckling awkwardly, trying my best to not stutter.

"Oh please Mr Arc, do try me. I've heard my fair share of troubles within teams" Ozpin continued.

Well, there's no escape I suppose.

"Well, you see-"

"Jaune! Where are you! Come back this instant! I will hire you as my personal chef, and if it means I'm going to find your Parents and convince them myself, I'll do it!" And there she is.

"Ah! Sorry Professors! But I gotta run!" I immediately bolted past them.

"I'll try not to miss classes Professor Goodwitch!" I yelled back, just as I saw the hem of the Female's Uniforms peering around the corner.

"Excuse me Professors, Have you perhaps seen Jaune around?" Weiss said in an eerily calm tone.

"Ah, did he do something to you Ms Schnee?" Ozpin asked, clearly uncomfortable with how Weiss is acting. Even for an old being such as himself, women are still fearful creatures.

"Oh he very much did something to me, alright. So please, have you seen him?" Ozpin swallowed hard, glanced at a calm Professor Goodwitch, before taking a deep breath.

"He passed right by us, running towards the Botanical Garden" Ozpin sweated bullets when Weiss smiled sweetly.

"Thank you very much Professors, now if you excuse me. I have a Jaune to hire" Weiss then happily made her way past them, which in turn. Made Ozpin let go of a breath he didn't knew he was holding.

"Oh dear, no matter what age. Women are scary as ever" Ozpin said to no one in particular, except when he felt a seething gaze from his right.

"Is there any meaning with those words, Headmaster?" Ozpin swallowed nervously before taking a sip of his Hot Chocolate.

"N-No Glynda, just some musings of an old man" Of course Glynda doesn't believe that, but nonetheless dropped the subject.

"Then we must have a move on, Headmaster. Tomorrow needs to be meticulously planned after all" Ozpin hummed and nodded. And the two disappeared around the corner.

As I kept running, I can hear Archer snickering at me within my head.

"Well, no wonder I was getting a massive Deja Vu" Bastard!

"Less being smug about it! More helping!" I internally yelled at them.

"Well, I would love to but. I can't" Curse this weird phenomenon!

I turned to a corner, and all I saw was a tuft of brown hair before I crashed on said owner of hair.

"Ah!/Kyah!" Our two bodies collide, her notebooks flying everywhere and both of us falling on our butts.

"Ow... That was not part of the plan" I said as I slowly stood up, making sure I don't get into a bigger accident.

"Hey, you alright. I'm sorry for running into you" I asked the fallen Faunus girl. She blinked away her confusion and saw me holding out my hand for her to grab.

She hesitated first, but her eyes widened slightly and she shyly took hold of my hand.

"Say, how come you look familiar" I said to no one in particular.

"W-Well, you did help me with Cardin" My eyes widened in recognition.

"Oh! Right, Velvet! Sorry! It took me a while to recognize you" I apologetically bowed in front of her, much to her surprised confusion.

"O-Oh, it's fine! Really! It's understandable you wouldn't immediately recognize me, as we've only talked once" She assured, though that still doesn't help the fact that I forgot about her!

"But still, I apologize for forgetting about you" I apologized again, much to her awkwardness.

"Say, Velvet. Is there something we're missing here or are you going to introduce to your friend there?" I blinked and straightened myself, only to see three more people behind Velvet.

One of them is a wall of a man, wearing green and a literal slab of metal he calls a sword on his back. He calls Fulcrum. A great sword with a hooked tip for grabbing opponents or staggering Grimm. His name is Yatsuhashi Daichi.

Next is a normal sized man with scars around his body and one on his chin. Dark Orange hair and outfit, and his two weapons of choice behind him dubbed Sharp Retribution. Though one look on his face, I can immediately he's blind. I'm guessing his Semblance is making up for that. But still though, Bladed Tonfas... Interesting concept.

Then last but not least, the one that spoke. Coco Adel. One look and it's confirmed, she's a fashionista. Though her little bag isn't what many thinks it is. It weighs over a thousand pounds, and can transform into a Minigun... A Minigun!

"O-Oh right! Jaune, meet my team. Coco, our team leader. Fox, our rogue as he calls himself. He's blind but don't let that fool you. And last but not least, Yatsuhashi. Our resident Heavy" Velvet's usual shyness was immediately gone as she introduced her team to me, which I find adorable.

"Jaune eh? So you're the Knight in shining armor our little Bunbuns told us about" She smirked as she walked over next to me.

"Coco! Don't call me that!" Velvet yelled in embarrassment.

"Oh please, I'm sure Mr Knight here finds it cute. Don't you Mr Knight?" Her smile promised me pain.

"Y-Yes! Very cute!" I fearfully said, much to the two men's chagrin.

"And there she goes again" Fox sighed, clearly done with Coco's attitude.

"Anyway, thanks for helping Bunbuns here. She can handle herself but you know the memo" I nodded. As much as how those words are, Faunus discrimination is still an all time high even here on school.

"Ah, no need to thank me. I was just doing what anyone else would do" She paused, lightly pushed her sunglasses down, to show me her hazel brown eyes, and look at me skeptically.

"There is one error in that sentence, but I'm sure you know that already" She said, and I have to agree. Not many nor anyone at all could do something like I did. Unless of course it's other Faunus brave enough or an official Huntsman... Both preferably.

"I... I see your point" The atmosphere became awkward, as Velvet started to fidget uncomfortably with the topic.

Thankfully, Fox broke the tension.

"So... Anyway, why are you in a rush, Jaune?" Oh, right. I forgot I was running for safety, and away from a potential job that will most definitely end up as me being tied to the kitchen.

"It's safer, and knowing how Weiss operates. It wouldn't be too long" Archer spoke in my head ever so cryptically.

"Oh right, I was running for my life and freedom" That garnered weird looks from them. Until I heard the clacking of heels.

And there she is, gotta go!" But before I could make a mad dash away. I failed to realize that my left foot is stuck in ice.

"No more running Jaune" Her cold tone and smile gave me shivers... The wrong kind of shivers. Hey! I'm a growing young man and I've ventured into some weird territory in the internet!

"Oh Root, her smile is literally Rin's" And from how Shirou said that, I'm screwed.

"Thank you for distracting him long enough, dear Seniors. Though if we may be excused, Jaune and I are going to negotiate" Weiss spoke with a happy tone, though everyone can see that I will be in a world of pain and suffering.

"O-Oh! N-No worries" I can tell Velvet's instinct is telling her to run. Her face isn't obvious at all.

Heck! Even Yatsuhashi, couldn't keep a straight face and is trying to avert his eyes.

"Right, well. Goodluck Jaune, seems like you'll need it" Coco coolly said, though with the way how her muscles tensed, she's ready to make a run for it.

"Thank you, now Jaune. I believe we are in the middle of negotiating your salary?"

"Can I only do breakfast?"

"Acceptable, but I only expect the best from you"

She dragged me away, my whole body doing it's best to not make it easy for her, but for her staure, she is quite strong. And thus, I was forced to be both team's chef until graduation.

End.
