Chapter 2

(1:15pm)

"Ugh...that cheer is all wrong!"

"That's not how you use the megaphone!"

"Kim, I'm supposed to be on top of the formation, not you!"

After the Middleton High cheer squad performed a cheer pyramid, a snarling and extremely annoyed Kim somersaulted down and landed a perfect ten on the cheer mat. The other cheereaders followed suit and disassembled from the pyramid.

Ron, being the Mad Dog Mascot, did his usual howling routine and sprayed his banana cream foam a safe distance away from the other cheerleaders.

Bonnie got onto the ground right in front of here.

"When I checked the official roster of the squad, B, I did not see your name listed as the captain!" Kim sneered.

"K, isn't the purpose of the captain of the cheer squad to try to motivate her team?" Bonnie retorted.

"Hey, I'm the mascot!" Ron countered, "I also help in motivating the team and the audience!"

"This does not concern you, Stoppable!" Bonnie exclaimed.

"And isn't the purpose of the spotter, such as you, to prevent me or any of my cheerleaders from ending up in the ER?" Kim fumed just mere inches from the brunette's face.

"That so won't happen!" Bonnie scoffed, "Us cheerleaders are just too pretty to suffer a stupid broken bone!"

"Bonnie, we are not going to have this debate again!" Kim exclaimed.

"Kim, everyone should know by now that cheerleaders have to be snobby, mean and...my most personal favorite...dumb!"

"Dumb...as in..." Ron asked.

"Book dumb, loser!" Bonnie sneered.

At that moment, Amanda, one of Bonnie's lackeys that make up her group, was approached by Hope.

"What's the capital of the United States?" Hope asked.

"Uhh...Hollywood?" Amanda snarked.

Kim was livid at the obviously wrong answer Bonnie's hench-cheerleader gave her.

"Didn't I remind you that cheerleaders are normal people just like every else at this school, though held to a higher standard!"

"Yeah, as in a higher standard such as the Food Chain!" Bonnie snarled. "Amanda has her eye on Josh Mankey for Spring Break, by the way!"

Amanda sighed, "He's such an artisty dreamboat!"

"Cheerleaders can date any guy in the student body they want, regardless of who they are!" Kim said, defending the ideals that she stood by for.

Bonnie debated with her own version of what cheerleader dating meant.

"Cheerleaders like us only are supposed to date jocks or cute guys that are on top of the chain, Possible! Don't you even see it through that thick skull of yours? Or is it filled with too much Nacho cheese and a tortilla shell, courtesy of Stupidable!"

This was Bonnie's normal reference to Ron.

"Hey! Don't call me like that!" Ron replied angrily. He put aside his Mad Dog mascot head.

"Hey, don't diss Ron or Bueno Nacho like that, Rockwaller!" Kim sneered, "And you know what I think of your Food Chain?"

"What about it?" Bonnie growled.

Kim gathered up the courage to form her opinion on Bonnie's food chain.

"That it can be thrown away...into the Middleton High garbage can...where all that mystery meat would let it rot and decompose into nothing!" the redhead exclaimed, "That is what is going to happen to it once we all, and I do mean ALL of us, graduate next year!"

Bonnie looked at the gym wall and spotted a couple of posters that were being put up for a peculiar dance.

"You know, Junior Prom is coming up in less than three months from now, Possible." Bonnie snickered, "I hope you enjoy your prom picture of being all alone in the yearbook, Miss Lonleyhearts! Come, girls!"

Bonnie snapped her fingers.

Hope Patterson, Amanda Smith (a sophomore), and Sarah Tudor (another junior), all followed behind Bonnie on her left side while the Ashleys (Ashley Armbruster, Ashley Boulet and Ashley Quinlan-all seniors) went on her right side. Ashley Tomassian was not on the squad but still kept in touch with them at Middleton High. All seven girls within Bonnie's clique left the gym.

"Thanks for defending me, KP!" Ron said, complimenting her friend.

"It's no big, Ron!" Kim replied before turning to the other girls, "I believe that's going to be it for cheer practice for today."

When The Seven left the gym and headed outside for a brief moment before transition, Bonnie's smile faded into a scowl.

"How DARE that stupid air-headed redhead insult my beloved Food Chain!" the brunette fumed, "She should know the law of the land at MHS by now!"

"Yeah..." Ashley A agreed. "She's with the slobberhound all the time."

Ashley Q also quipped, "Don't even ask how much I had to pay to dry clean my cheer outfit...along with yours, B."

"That $150 bill is going to come out of Stoppable's...allowance...AQ" Bonnie said, avoiding any curse words. She also used initials for the Ashleys to tell them apart.

"The Mad Dog mascot was fine WITHOUT the banana cream foam prior to Stoppable!" Hope said. The mascot had been a tradition at Middleton High ever since the 1950s.

"This is true." Ashley B said.

Sarah also added, "And me, AA, and AB have Drama class with both Possible and Stoppable next period. We got this play thing that is coming up in a couple of weeks that's going to be, like, 25% of our grade!"

Bonnie thought of a devious idea in her head.

"I think I may have an idea on how to humiliate those two." she said before looking at Sarah, Ashley A and Ashley B, "But I need you to spy on those two losers. See if there is anything juicy or..."

"Scandalous?" Ashley A quipped, learning of their time at 3rd Street school, which covered the kindergarden-thru 6th graders in the nearby suburb of Westwood in Middleton.

"Yes!" Bonnie smirked, "Like that! Something that would potentially destroy Possible's rep for good."
