Summary: If you were to ask someone if vampires were real, what do you think they would say?
A/N: This is just a little oneshot I thought up the other day. I realize it doesn't have much to do with Buffy, but I decided to post it anyways. Enjoy. Please R&R, thanks a bunch :)

The sky rumbles with anger. Lightning flashes in the distance. A big, fat raindrop splatters against the window, followed by more and more until my vision of the world beyond the window becomes blurry. I think of the term 'it's raining cats and dogs'. Is it just a metaphor, or, did it at one time, actually rain cats and dogs? If you were to ask someone this question, they would look at you as if the answer to the question was just too obvious. Of course it's just a metaphor. Duh! But is it? Or are people just too blinded by the media to see past the most logical answer? It's possible though, that it could just be a metaphor. But what if it isn't?
Now, to get my point (which, mind you, isn't really about it raining cats and dogs), but this is how it is with vampires, demons and other creatures of the sort. If you were to ask anyone if vampires are real, they would throw their heads back and laugh hysterically at you.
"Of course not!" they would laugh, "it's just an old folktale to scare people".
People are so brainwashed nowadays, that they have to see to believe. They have zero imagination. If you really think about it, you'll realize it's kinda sad. It's not until you get attacked by a real live vampire, or find out you live on a Hellmouth, that you'll believe those 'old folktales'. But hey, that's just me.

A/N: Like I said, just a little drabble I thought up one day. Very short, I know, but I hope you like it. Please review.
