So... You may be wondering why this chapter took a little more time than normal. (Normally my chapters take about a day or two to be completed.) Listen, I went on vacation to Washington DC and I forgot my phone, so that meant no writing for a while. Thank you for your patience and I hope this chapter will make up for the time that I couldn't write.

It had been almost a week ever since Luigi agreed to come on over to the Last Resort, and in the last few days the hotel has been in crunch mode.

The rooms were shining, the staff were excited, and now everybody who had negative thoughts about this situation was now completely excited.

Today is the day that Luigi arrived to the hotel! If someone was told that right now the hotel cared about nothing but Luigi's stay, said person would believe it without doubt.

Room 503 is the room that the hotel chose for Luigi, the same room that when he first came to the hotel. Of course there would be no kidnapping or attempted murder this time. Everyone knew that.

For the first time in years, the Last Resort staff were incredibly focused on one thing all together. The cooks were preparing the best food for Luigi's first day, the maids were making the hotel sparkle, and everybody else was making sure that their floor was at its best. Even Nikki was somehow able to fight the urge to pull just one prank.

In exactly one hour, Luigi would be at the Last Resort, and everyone knew that. Everyone. Because this was the day that Luigi would come, small last minute preparations were being made. Well, actually, not small last minute preparations.

"Move, move, move!" Johnny shouted at his gym Hammers who were moving a couch to reveal many years of objects under the crusty couch.

"Serpci, Macfrights! Did you remove the traps on your floor, just a last minute check!" Steward yelled across the Grand Lobby to Serpci and King Macfrights.

"Jasmine wait!" Dr. Potter chased Jasmine the Venus fly trap. "Why are you running away?!?"

"Domino! Come back!" Lindsey chased after her white and black rabbit. "Get back here!"

Jasmine and Domino ran towards each other with Dr. Potter chasing after Jasmine and Lindsey running after Domino.

Unfortunately for the two ghosts, with the pets running towards each other, so did the owners. Jasmine and Domino avoided each other but Potter and Lindsey weren't so lucky. They both painfully slammed into each other.

It would sure be a lie if someone said that the hotel was perfect right now, but it's probably a nice thing to hear.

"One hour! One hour!" Steward ran around the Grand Lobby only adding to the everywhere chaos. "Oh my God!!!" He screeched. "I just got a text saying that Luigi's going to get here sooner! 30 minutes people!"

"Hmm hmm hmm hmmmmm," Luigi hummed while he was in a shuttle bus, and luckily this time, Toad wasn't driving.

Polterpup was sleeping in Luigi's lap which made him feel calm. Luigi felt proud that he was chosen as the hotel tester. You get to be a celebrity at the hotel, you get the best treatment, and all so people could know your opinion about the hotel! That sounds like a good deal!

"You know," Luigi looked at Polterpup. "I bet the Last Resort staff are having just a grand time right now."

"AHHHH!!!" A Slinker chef screamed. He caused a mini kitchen fire in the second floor of the hotel. Sure the fire would hurt a ghost, but it wouldn't kill him again, but the kitchen needed to be in good shape for Luigi's stay.

"Oh mon Dieu!" Chef Soufflé came into the kitchen. "Everyone out of ze kitchen now!"

Soufflé ran towards the small fire and began to try to put it out by using a fire extinguisher. His efforts did work, but the incident brought everyone the feeling of doubt. If something like this happened fifteen minutes before Luigi arrived, than what could happen when he actually arrived?

It also didn't take a genius to know that when someone special comes over the place has got to be clean. Everyone at the Last Resort knew this of course, but so far, the staff were sucking at being organized.

"Everyone be quiet!" Steward shouted. "I'm getting a call from Luigi." The second Steward finished that sentence, it was after-dead silent in the entire Grand Lobby.

"Hey Luigi," Steward answered his phone. "Wait, you're who? Listen I-I I'm sorry, thank you for understanding," Steward hung up. "It wasn't Luigi."

"WHAT!?!"

"BRO!"

"DUDE!"

The entire Grand Lobby shouted at Steward which resulted in him making the most apologetic expression ever.

"I thought it was Luigi guys! I was too panicked and busy to notice who was calling that my mind instantly to Luigi! I'm sorry for making you guys panic."

"But, who was it that you answered?" Serpci asked. "I don't know, it was a random girl and I swear that her voice sounded familiar," Steward answered.

"Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee!" Ginny giggled. Her sisters and Clem were floating behind her, watching Ginny as she held her phone in her hand.

"They fell for it!" Ginny grinned at Nikki, Lindsey and Clem. "I swear, I could hear all the noise downstairs go completely silent!"

Luigi stared out into the distance as the shuttle bus he was in came onto a familiar path, the entrance path to the Last Resort. The trees and bushes started to disappear and the hotel could be seen not to far away.

The bus honked its horn as it came closer and closer to the Last Resort, and when it did for the first time, again, the hotel went after-dead silent, again.

When the bus honked its horn, a staff member dropped a plate, everyone stopped what they were doing and stared out the windows where they could see the bus heading towards their direction.

"Oh my God, he's here!" A doorman darted into the hotel and screamed, "This is a code L, I repeat, this is a code L!!!"

The entire hotel began to run around, screaming at the top of their lungs, trying to put everything just perfect right before Luigi could get into the Last Resort.

The bus approached the gate that surrounded the Last Resort, and MORE people panicked. Only Amadeus Wolfgiest, Chef Soufflé, King Macfrights, Clem, Nikki, Lindsey, Ginny, and Gloria stared at the chaos unfolding before them at the top of the staircase.

"This place already is a gorgeous setting, these fools just made it worse!" King Macfrights noted. "I mean the only place worth cleaning here is the nasty Boilerworks."

It just seemed that for once, Macfrights actually said something accurate. Not the Boilerworks comment of course, but the part where he said the the other staff ruined the hotel when panicked.

The bus parked in front of the Last Resort and Luigi had no idea that the inside of his hotel was full of the most chaotic scenes that could ever exist.

The final lamp was put down on the same spot it was put on over and over again, just in time as Luigi got off his bus. The boss ghosts scrambled into a line the stood near the front doors of the Last Resort. Just as Captain Fishook got into place, Luigi opened the doors to the Last Resort.

"Hello everyone!" Luigi smiled at the staff of the Last Resort. "I'm so glad that you guys chose me to be this hotel tester!"

The fear, the panic, the terror instantly escaped the ghosts of the Last Resort as they went to go greet Luigi, the one that could save the hotel.

"Hey, Luigi!" Everyone turned their heads to the top of the staircase to see professor E. Gadd looking down right at Luigi.

"Luigi!" E. Gadd came down the stairs to greet Luigi with open arms. "I'm so glad that you were able to come!"

"Professor!" Luigi and E. Gadd hugged then Luigi looked at the Last Resort staff. "Thank you all for inviting me to save your hotel, and wowee! This place looks amazing! Were you guys nervous about my arrival?"

"Nope!" Steward answered but then began to sweat. "No negative feelings in us, none whatsoever!"

"Well, that's truly amazing!" Luigi smiled at everyone. "I brought someone else on this trip! I'm sure you'll remember him!"

Polterpup ran into the doors of the Last Resort and began to excitedly bark at everyone. He hadn't seen another ghost in a while, so naturally, the dog was excited.

"Moon!" Serpci called out to Polterpup. When Polterpup saw Serpci, he got up from Luigi's feet and ran as fast as he could to the Pharaoh, and started to lick her face.

"Moon hi!" Serpci laughed as she was being tickled by Polterpup's tongue. Luigi came up to the two and laughed.

"I didn't know that the two of you guys had a friendship! How cute!"

When Polterpup got off Serpci, he followed Luigi to the front desk where Steward had scrambled to get to.

"So, can I get to my room?" Luigi stood at the front desk. "Of course Luigi!" Steward replied. "Put your luggage on that cart and we'll take you to your room!" Steward motioned at a luggage cart.

"Thank you Steward! My room number is?" Luigi raised his eyebrow. "Oh, sorry, you are going to the fifth floor, room five zero three!" Steward handed a key to Luigi.

Luigi got his key, said a quick thank you to the hotel staff, and got his luggage into the elevator and to the fifth floor.

It didn't look much different from the fifth floor that Luigi adventured in just a few months ago. There was still the rooms, the nice vases, and even the carpet was the exact same. The only difference was that there was no spooky vibe coming from every direction of the floor.

Floor five zero three, Luigi thought. That's the same room I got when I first came here! Luigi looked up at his hotel room's doorway. The exact same.

Luigi opened the door to his room and a familiar sound, smell and feel flowed into Luigi's mind. The bed was slightly different from the first one, but this one actually looked more comfortable.

Polterpup sniffed around the area before yawning and then falling asleep. Awwww... Luigi thought. It was such a long bus ride that Luigi already knew that Polterpup would fall asleep soon after they arrived, and the sleeping pup was cute.

Luigi wanted to go to sleep as well, but one part of his mind said that the second he fell asleep, he would be in a painting. Tiredness took over the scary thoughts, and just like Polterpup, Luigi too fell into a deep sleep.

"Whew!" Chambrea sighed as she wiped sweat off her head. "We completed the first part! Yes!"

Many boss ghosts surrounded the main maid and they were celebrating as well.

"Just how the hell did we make the hotel perfect in time?!?" Kruller laughed. "I thought Luigi would walk in while we were still getting ready!"

As the boss ghosts were celebrating, Steward began his own talk, so everyone could plan events for Luigi.

"Alright everyone!" Steward began. "What will we provide Luigi with when it comes to entertainment or service?"

"Ooh!" Johnny raised his hand. "I'll treat Luigi to VIP gym sessions! He'll get to use the good gym equipment!"

"I'll get someone to battle me in a jousting match!" King Macfrights offered.

"An amazing piano performance!"

"Ug get green guy special bone!"

"Magic show, duh!"

"I'll clear the entire movie set so Luigi can pick a movie to watch!"

"Luigi gets the Dance Hall for himself!"

With everyone spilling out offers all at once, it became very clear to all of the boss ghosts that they had an idea on what to offer Luigi.

"Alrighty then," Steward looked at his fellow ghosts. "Everyone has a plan on what to do for your event, so let's get your plans in action, and tomorrow Luigi might go to your event, so get ready!"

The boss ghosts nodded and then went to the elevator so everyone could go back to their floors. In the packed elevator, many people were chatting away with excitement knowing that very soon if the staff could play their cards right, the Last Resort could stay open!

"Okay!" Nikki floated into the makeup room of the Twisted Suites. "As we sisters all know, I'm in charge when it comes to magic shows, so I have a plan."

"NOOOO!" Ginny and Lindsey shouted and fell to the ground. "Not a plan!"

"What do you guys mean? I'm always in charge in our shows, and I just have a simple plan!" Nikki reasoned with her sisters. "The plan is to just use the good magic tricks!"

When Nikki finished her plan, Lindsey and Ginny stopped panicking and got up from the ground. "Oh, that's not bad."

"Why did you guys panic? I just said I had a plan!"

"But your plans are horrible! I blame you entirely for getting this hotel into the mess we're in now!" Ginny replied.

"I got this!" Nikki ignored Ginny. "This place will be nice when Mister Luigi gets here to our show!"

Lindsey and Ginny looked at each other with doubt knowing far well that their sister could be right somehow, or just wrong as almost always.

Probably wrong.

As the Twisted Trio talked about their plans, other staff members did so as well. Others staff members like Clem and Dr. Potter didn't worry about Luigi's opinions on their floor.

Even if some ghosts cared or didn't care about Luigi's opinions, the hotel staff all had one thing in common: they all wanted to show Luigi a grand time in this grand hotel.

Well, almost everyone.

In E. Gadd's lab, there were two little containment jars for a ghost and a Boo. Not just any ghost or Boo. Hellen Gravely and King Boo.

"You know Hellen, the power of my gem is almost completely full." King Boo grinned at Hellen Gravely. "It's almost full and ready for mayhem!"

"I agree." Hellen grinned back at King Boo. "We just need a little more time before we can enact the plan!"

"So, what are you going to do once we escape?" King Boo asked. "It's not every day that we can break out of a highly secured prison meant for ghosts."

"Oh I know EXACTLY what I'm going to do!"

Next time, Luigi does a few of the events of the floors, a certain plan will be enacted, and the pressure will get to the most unexpected ghost in the Last Resort.
