A/N: I had this on my mind after I watched the last episode of Trigun. I was so sad that Wolfwood died, so I had to make something that would make me happy. I love the whole Wolfwood/Milly pairing and I this is just something I wanted to do...

I do not own any of the Trigun characters nor do I take any credit for Trigun. I only love the series...

The dust blew across the rising sun and showed a dark figure walking out of the clouds of dust. Meryl and Milly glanced over and grinned from ear to ear as water rained down on them.

Vash stared up and smiled when he saw them. Knives was slung over his shoulder, unconscious and hurt. Milly wondered who he was, but shrugged it off she would ask later.

"I knew he'd come back," Milly said and looked over. A look of a surprise met her face as Meryl was nowhere in sight. "Meryl?"

She looked ahead and saw Meryl running toward Vash. Vash set Knives down on the ground and gave Meryl a hug. Milly smiled to herself and felt tears threaten to escape.

"I'm happy for you Meryl," she thought.

She felt something strange, an urge to look to the side at the rising sun. Milly turned her head and gasped. A figure stood in the rolling clouds of dust. A giant cross-shaped gun slung over his shoulder, a cigar in his mouth and a smile that would knock you dead.

He turned toward Milly and flicked the cigar.

"Second hand smoke is bad for the baby," his voice whispered in the wind. He grinned at Milly and walked off. His figure disappearing into the dawn…

Milly smiled and wiped her eyes. She nodded her head. Memories of Nicolas D. Wolfwood ran through her head a thousands times over. She let out a content sigh and touched her stomach.

"I…understand," she said.

"Hey Milly!" Meryl yelled.

Milly glanced over and smiled at them. She laughed and ran up to Vash, giving him a big hug.

"H-hey! I can't breath!" he yelled out in his goofy voice. Meryl laughed at the scene and then saw a new light in Milly's eyes. She understood and was happy.
