A/N: Ello people! It's ya boy, back at it again with another one. The fifth, I think. Yeah, not much else to say aside from the massive feedback I'm recieving from you all. It feels good to wake up to a review on this site, so feel free to post a review because I appreciate anything you're willing to throw at me.
VGBlackwing: And I love you, you magnificent example of a human! Chances of a rescue party? Kinda grimm, mostly because Angela don't really care about the nuggets, but Roland now... He might be able to talk her into it?
RhoMarck: Why thank you good sir.
breakingamble: The thing with the Light and their bodies makes sense to me because the sephirah are made from Light, and can only maintain their forms inside the Library, so I guess that logic also applies to the nuggets? About your fic idea, go for it I say, you have nothing to lose! (I hope.) Yes, High Voltage is pretty busted, but its supposed to be busted, because it is busted even in RWBY, so, much like RWBY, I simply don't care about balance! And yes, I aim to make something exaggerated, for comedic effect of course.
I think that was all the reviews? Yeah, UNTO THE FIC!

Bemaia was confused beyond words.
When that very polite receptionist told him that he would go through the test in an hour and a half, he decided to go to the bathroom.
Inside the Library, he never needed to worry about those kinds of things, after all, his body was made for the sole purpose of receiving guests, not living a human life.
But, no matter what he thought, what conclusion he reached, he couldn't understand his sudden urge to simply go take a piss.
And take a piss he did.
Though the bathroom stalls stood as a hard omen of how teenagers don't really care about the many things they take for granted, he did not care about the current, despicable, state of the bathroom, considering that he used to manage a restaurant in district 12.
But he couldn't wrap his head around the fact that he was capable of using the bathroom like a normal human. A being made from light, is very similar to humans in the departments of thought and form, but they did not function the same way. He doesn't understand exactly how his body works, but he never had to worry about basic necessities like drinking and eating, much less using the bathroom!
But that's enough talk about taking a piss.
He couldn't help but to wonder who would be his opponent. How would they fight, what weapons they would use.
How many laws established by the Head they would break.
He saw how Pyrrha Nikos fought his friend. She purposely did not hit any vital areas of Francisco's body, even if that would guarantee a quick and clean win. Was it safe to assume that every student fought like that? If so, Bemaia figured that he had a fair chance of winning, after all, fighting someone who only wants to score points against you, is drastically different from fighting someone that is actively trying to kill you with every ounce of their being.
If her weapons served as a base for how his future opponent's weapon will be, then he was in luck. He was certain that he could deflect all bullets shot at him if they had around the same strength and speed as .
Bemaia assumed they didn't have bullets as powerful as those used by the Thumb. He hoped that was for the best.
He also noted that they severely lacked in melee combat, unless that was an unique trait for .
She had many opportunities to damage Francisco, but instead, decided to back away from him, even if he had no opportunities to hit back due to her shield. Was it perhaps her showing that she did not mean harm to him? If that was the case, why did she even consider entering this academy?
He needed more information, but unfortunately, he didn't know where to acquire it. So, like he did previously, he wandered randomly through the academy, making sure he wouldn't get lost right before his test.
Eventually, he got lucky.
He made his way to Beacon's actual entrance, one that he'd never seen before. What surrounded him was nothing short of beautiful scenery, something straight out of fiction, he thought. Bemaia couldn't understand everything he saw but, to him, it didn't make a lot of sense how the main path leading from the ceremony hall to the airship landing pads were simply built on top of a much, much bigger water fountain.
Observing the students as they come and go, all wearing different sorts of strange and colorful choices in attire and with equally confusing weaponry as strange metal contraptions flew in and out of the landing pads carrying said students, he made a few mental notes about them and their strange ways of life.
'They are all so cheerful… How?' Bemaia remembered the words of the Headmaster 'How can they be so cheery when they are under constant threat of being attacked by those Grimm things the Headmaster seemed so scared about.'
He didn't notice, but he was staring at a group of students for a while through his Hat
'Those flying things are also wild. I believe the Head banned all forms of flight that weren't sourced by a singularity… Not that I ever flew in one of those death traps.'
He decided to push those thoughts away. Thinking about the Head won't do him or anyone any good for the time being.
Now, where was he? Ah yes, observing the students, so he could better understand how they usually fight. 'These students, all divided in groups of four… Those must be the teams the Headmaster told me.'
Then, a new thing caught his attention.
"Yo, are those real bunny ears?" he couldn't help but to say it out loud.
And the person he referred to heard him.
And the other three with her also heard it.
Bemaia couldn't help but to think to himself 'Damn, she must have paid an arm and a leg for that pair of ears. If they work like the animal equivalent, then she could hear almost everything I do, from the shuffling of my clothes to my every step… If only we had someone with that ability back then…'
For some reason, even with the bunny girl's insistence on stopping her companions, three students with very displeased looks on their faces approached him.
Before he could greet them, the girl leading the group, wearing sunglasses and dubious amounts of bullets around her torso, walked up to him, inches away from his face. "Got a problem with it, big hat?"
Bemaia froze in place. 'Well, this is unexpected.' his back arched to get away from the girl. "Why do you ask?"
He took a mental note about the four students. 'There's a big one in the back simply watching the scene, Bunny ears behind him, their supposed leader spitting on my hat and another one, standing there with his arms crossed. That last one has completely white eyes… Perhaps I must explain myself before the situation escalates further? Or should I throw more wood into the fire?'
Coco's eyes twitched. Was he not taking this seriously? Really, right in her face? "Well, It's rather rude to talk about people's little quirks behind their backs, wouldn't you say?"
Bemaia was beyond confused, did he do something bad? Or, at least, something they considered rude? He was used to dealing with members of the Thumb visiting his restaurant every other day, and never once did he offend them in any way, shape or form.
Was this world's sense of cordiality different from the one he developed in the City? "I'm sorry, but I don't follow. What did I do, exactly?" he questioned, as he took off his hat to scratch his head.
The girl scoffed at him, "Don't you feign ignorance on me. You either say you're sorry about your little comment on Velvet," She took off her sunglasses and stared into his eyes "I'll make you."
Bemaia nodded in understanding. "I still don't follow. I simply stated my curiosity about your friend's uncommon choice of bio-enhancement."
Coco took a step back as her face held a blank expression.
"That's the first time I've heard that one." The giant of a man spoke, holding his laughter.
Bemaia too, was confused. Was he wrong the whole time? Surely, that ought to be a body enhancement. There is no way someone could have been born naturally with bunny ears without the interference of a scientist or something of that manner.
And even if that was the case, the Head would never allow such people in the City.
Then it struck him for the third time this day. 'I'm not in the City.' He sighed for his own idiocy.
He was rude towards that girl for no reason, only his ignorance was to blame. Perhaps she was part of those 'Faunus' people Schnee told him about. "Never mind that, It's my first time seeing one of your kind, and I apologize for any feelings I might've hurt."
But now comes the funny part. Even though he was never officially part of the Thumb, some of their doctrines brushed off on him, even if a little bit. "If I recall correctly, the saying was 'If they disrespect their equal, take out two fingers of their choice.' or something like that."
Their leader was instantly pulled out of her confused state.
She heard him loud and clear. He was joking, right? Well, that was getting more difficult to believe as he calmly unsheathed a small blade, hidden inside his hat, resembling a Tanto. "Hold it there buster! I was just picking on you, no need to take it that far!"
Bemaia held the Tanto by the blade and nodded to Coco. "That's not up to you to decide. It's up to her, Velvet, was it?" He offered the blade to the Faunus girl, who had an incredulous look on her face. "Velvet, If you would?"
The poor girl's mind was running on overcharge. 'WHY?' was the only question she asked herself. She stared at his serious and unblinking eyes. 'Look at his face, he's serious about this!' She needed to defuse the situation, but how? 'If they disrespect their equal, take out two fingers of their choice.' How did that make any sense? "You're from what year?"
Bemaia simply answered "I'm going to be part of the first year roster."
There! There was the escape she needed. "Well, then you don't have to worry about your fingers anymore! I'm in my third year…"
Bemaia's eyes widened after her commentary. Perfect. "Indeed, it does change things. 'If they dare disrespect their superior, take their lower jaw'. Very well, I accept it." He nodded.
'How is that reasonable?' Velvet thought 'Who is this man and why is he so…' the girl realized something about him. He held his left hand above his mouth for the entire time. "You're not taking this seriously, are you?"
Bemaia simply nodded in response, as Coco sighed. "I've met some people that actually took those things seriously, so I thought I'd mess with you, sorry about everything."
Coco landed a clean punch on his jaw that made him fall to the ground. 'That was sudden, but well delivered.' he could feel it, she had just dislocated his jaw. "So it was all a big lie, and you're just an asshole then?"
Bemaia could hear the cracking of her knuckles. He got up on his feet and put his jaw back in place with a loud crack that made poor Velvet wince and recoil in response. 'I deserved that.' He thought to himself. "Only the parts of taking off my fingers I made up. So yeah, I've never seen someone of her kind before."
Coco was left dumbfounded, who was he anyway? "It was a pleasure meeting you, Velvet, Big guy, Angry woman and the other dude. I have my initiation to pass." He waved them goodbye and left, and, after a few seconds after he turned to leave, he immediately turned back around and once again approached the still confused team of third years.
"You four care to accompany me? I uh, need some directions."
—
"Wait, so you're telling me that the biggest conglomeration of Faunus is situated on an island called 'Menagerie'?" Velvet nodded in response. "And the island was given to the Faunus by the Humans?" The Faunus girl nodded, once again.
Bemaia simply remained silent, 'Ho boy, that's the first time I can say something good about the City. There is literally no racism there, and that name… Well, it has a Very funny meaning when you stop to think that there are mainly Faunus living on the island.' Bemaia lowered his hat. "That's messed up."
Coco raised her eyebrows. "Why? Isn't it a good thing that they have a territory to call their own?"
Bemaia shook his head. "I'm not one to discuss those kinds of subjects, but, where I came from, Menagerie meant: 'A collection of animals or slaves kept in captivity for exhibition' but I don't know if here, it has another meaning."
If it didn't… Well, someone had a very messed up sense of humor.
—
Only eight minutes of walk later, the five arrived at the amphitheater, where Bemaia's initiation would take place.
CVFY were somewhat surprised to see almost all the seats taken, just to see this one fight. They were also surprised to see the Headmaster standing in the middle of the arena, holding his cane and a sheathed western blade, waiting for Bemaia's arrival. "You weren't kidding when you said you're going to fight someone instead of a full-blown initiation, huh?" Coco commented, as he slowly made his way towards the arena.
"I wish you a good fight, Strange one." the giant that Bemaia now knew the name of, Yatsuhashi, said as the other three simply nodded to each other and found themselves a seat to watch.
Before he could enter the arena, Francisco pulled him to the side as the Headmaster waited.
"What is it?" Bemaia asked, as he stared at the extra eyes his friend had on his face.
"Your opponent, Nora, she kind of hates us, and she may not hold back, so beware." Bemaia nodded in understanding.
"What else do we have on her?"
The bald one thought for a few seconds, "She has a great hammer, so beware of Blunt. The hammer transforms into an explosive launcher? So, beware of that as well." Bemaia nodded once again, as a new plan formed in his mind.
"Weiss also told me that she is reckless while fighting, so use that against her." Bemaia nodded as he made his way towards the Headmaster.
'I have but a few moments to strategize.' Bemaia thought as he made his way towards the Headmaster. 'I don't know how tall she is, but considering that she uses a heavy weapon and fights recklessly, then she must be taller than I. I could use that to my advantage, it will be much more difficult to hit me if I lay close to the ground, so a lower stance would be somewhat nicer.'
The Headmaster greeted him and gave him his sword.
'She will probably try to break my expectations, so instead of running face-first into me, she'll be smart about this, she'll wait for me to engage, so she can punish me.' Bemaia nodded to himself as Ozpin started his speech.
He motioned the viewers to be silent, before he started speaking. "I did not expect such an audience today, It seems that your popularity is growing, young man." The bamboo hatted one simply nodded to that comment.
"As you all know by now, we have the presence of a few strangers in the school grounds, who wish to enroll at our academy. So a special exception was made just for these aspiring huntsmen." He raised his left hand and motioned it towards Bemaia. "Here we have an aspiring huntsman in training that managed to impress me, even without Aura, his name is…" Ozpin waited for Bemaia to speak his own name.
He takes off his Bamboo Hat and bows towards the other students, "Bernardo, but call me Bemaia." The audience's chatter returned.
Ozpin's smile grew slightly. "And he will have a spar, following the pre-set rules, with…"
He pressed the screen of his scroll and two giant panels came to life right on top of them. One of them read 'Bemaia', as he chose to sign his contract with Ozpin using Bemaia as his name, though, no he had no image showing his face. The other had the image of various students, spinning as if it were on a wheel.
"And his opponent shall be randomly chosen, like always, and they will be…" He pressed the screen of his scroll once again, as the spinning wheel of names and images came to a halt.
The big screen showed the image of a girl with orange hair, and the name beneath her image read, "Nora Valkyrie! Please, come to the arena and face your opponent."
Ozpin stepped down from the amphitheater's center as Nora, who already had Magnhild on her person, stepped in.
Bemaia wasn't as much of a weapon enthusiast as his bald partner, but he could appreciate when a weapon looked esthetically pleasing, and Nora's hammer, it was truly a bleach for the eyes after seeing the absurd designs the students used.
He wasn't looking forward to seeing it in action against him specifically.
But, something about her bothered him. 'She doesn't have the size, nor the physique to yield something as heavy as a great hammer effectively. The plan has already failed, and the fight hasn't even begun. She's at most 5'2 and even that's a stretch.' Bemaia internally sighed. 'So, how do you work, Miss Valkyrie?'
They both got 10 feet away from each other, and Ozpin began the count-down. "This duel will end automatically in ten minutes, if Miss Valkyrie's aura reaches red, when Bemaia is unable to continue fighting, when I deem it necessary to keep going or when one of you forfeits."
Bemaia unsheathed his blade, "Show me a good time, Miss Valkyrie!" He taunted, as Nora transformed her Magnhild into a great hammer and smiled back at him. "I'll break your legs!" He laughed to himself. 'Well, that's comforting.' He swallowed.
"Begin!" The headmaster shouted.

—
Time slowed around Bemaia, as his mind went overcharge. 'She is reckless while fighting, so use that against her, he said. But how is she reckless? She doesn't have the size to be reckless with that weapon!' Bemaia inhaled, 'Doesn't matter.'
He bent his knees to dash towards her as he heard an explosion coming from her and in a split second, she was already on top of him, swinging her hammer sideways as electricity crackled around her. His eyes widened as he narrowly ducked beneath the blow aiming for his chest.
He quickly swung his sword upwards, but nothing was there. 'She vanished?' his instincts kicked in as he automatically blocked a blow coming from behind him with his left arm.
He felt his body pressing against the stone beneath him. If not for Kim's specially crafted suit, he was sure his bones would be reduced to a fine powder after that.
Using his still bent knees, he pushed against the hammer and, by extension, pushed Nora backwards, just enough to leave him a small window to breathe.
Falling on her feet, Nora unloaded three grenade shells from the barrel of her hammer. Bemaia noticed the small indicators on the side of the shells, a small symbol, commonly used to depict danger from something using electricity. He immediately caught on with what she did. 'Did she explode herself with an electric charge to propel herself towards me?' The yellow sparks of electricity subsided from her body as she attempted to load another set of shells. 'By the wings, she really is reckless.'
But Bemaia was going to leave her no quarter.
He dashed into her as she loaded the barrel of her grenade launcher, and with a single upwards slice, she was sent upwards, flipping in the air as her Aura flared up in order to absorb the blow.
But then again, Bemaia would leave her no quarter.
The librarian jumped upwards in an attempt to slice her downwards out of the air, but instead of hitting her Aura, his sword strike connected with a small metal cylinder with a 'Fragmentation Explosive & Electric' indicator poorly drawn on it with purple markers. He nodded in understanding and accepted his fate as Nora's smile grew wider.
An explosion of purple and metal shards sent them both propelling to opposite sides of the arena.
On one hand, Nora's Aura blocked the damage from the explosion, on the other, her Aura was now dangerously low, almost on the red but not quite there. Lucky for her, the electric charge affected them both.
Bemaia was not faring that well either. The suit took most of the brunt of the explosion, but was pierced by the shrapnel. He could feel his chest burning from the still hot piece of metal now placed inside his chest, cheeks and abdomen. He wasn't sure of how much damage he took exactly, but he was sure he didn't activate that passive yet.
Bemaia exhaled painfully, as blood gushed out of his chest and static impeded his movement.
"You know… For someone using a hammer that big, you sure are crafty." Nora only giggled in response.
He spat blood on the arena's floor, "Let's get this over with, Miss Valkyrie." He dashed towards her and so did she, this time, she didn't propel herself with her explosions.
Bemaia ran towards her with his Katana raised above his head, ready to deliver a downwards slash as Nora dashed towards him lowering her great hammer, ready to swing it upwards at any second.
"I yield my flesh!" Bemaia shouted, as the electric current halted the movements on his sword and Nora landed a devastating blow right in his abdomen that sent him flying upwards, after a few seconds airborne, his back hit the ceiling, and he was sent downwards, still staggered from that last blow to try and land properly.
He hit the ground with full force.
The audience quieted itself.
Instead of a sickening *Crunch* from his bones, instead, he fell on the ground, completely unscathed. "Thank the fucking wings for that instant health insurance with the 'Unrelenting' protocol." He spoke to himself.
Nora watched as vapor left his body from every inch of his skin. All she asked was, "How are you still standing!?"
Bemaia laughed as he sheathed his sword, "K Corp's Nanomachines, Miss Valkyrie!" He said, as the Bamboo Hatted Kim's suit shattered like glass, leaving him with only the gray shirt that was beneath it.
She was still confused. "And a bit of luck." The electricity from Nora's grenades left their bodies.
"Let's finish this." He simply waited for her, standing in place. He didn't have to wait for long, as Nora leaped in the air, as she held her hammer above her head, ready to swing it downwards and crush him.
She swung Magnhild downwards.
Then all sound stopped, as it was easily blocked by the sheath of his blade.
'This will be my last one, so I'll make it count.'
Bemaia inhaled, "To claim their bones!"
Within the blink of an eye, Nora saw Bemaia calmly unsheathe his Katana, and, just as calmly, cut her Magnhild in half, and left her Aura, completely drained.
Then, in an instant she was sent into the opposite wall of the amphitheater.
Ozpin got up in the arena, fearing for his student's well-being, but before he could get near Nora, she got up and… Well…
"My baby!" She wailed for her weapon
She was fine, but he would have to do something about their weapons soon.
He then declared; "The winner of this duel, and our newest first year student here at Beacon, is Bemaia!"
He then sheathed his blade, walked towards Nora, and with a seemingly completely random act, he pointed down without saying a single word, even if she was standing up, with the two parts of her weapon in hand.
—
Bemaia soon found himself sitting on the bed of his supposed 'team's' dorm room, as Ozpin did them the favor of accepting a two-man team while Fred was comatose.
But he was not alone in the room, much to his displeasure.
He understood what needed to happen, and he did not want to go through the same things Francisco did.
He knew that, once unlocking Francisco's Aura, the Key Page he used instantly vanished, so he readied a fresh set of Beacon's uniform, so he would be completely caught with his pants down.
During their talk, Francisco was also convinced to let Blake unlock his Aura. She said that after hearing Bemaia used to live in the backstreets, she felt somewhat of a kinship with him.
He thought it was bullshit, probably just a scam coming from Blake, but he didn't refuse.
It was either that, or he would vanish into light.
So there he laid, on his newly acquired bed, as RWY and JNPR watched Blake rest her hand on his shoulder. "So, am I supposed to do something or…?"
That was the worst part. Bemaia knew nothing of the process of unlocking someone's Aura. All he knew was that it stopped Francisco from disintegrating, but that's about it. Ah, he also knew that Francisco also got his old E.G.O Gift out of nowhere, there was also that.
"Are you ready?" Bemaia kissed his beloved, but stolen, Bamboo Hat and put it next to his bed, then he nodded. "Okay, It'll be quick."
Bemaia felt a pleasant warmth fill his body, "Wha…" was all he could say before his vision went completely black.
—
He tirelessly opened his eyes, vision returned to him as he struggled to grasp what was real in front of him.
An endless scenery of a yellow sky and dark trees, all he heard was the chipping of the birds and the blowing of the wind.
Bemaia stood up in his two feet. His mind instantly understood what was happening and where he was.
And he already wanted to leave.
However, he had no direction to take.
He searched and searched for what seemed like hours, but there was nothing, no living things, no sun or moon, not even the once chipping birds did he found.
Then, he found something.
Or rather, he was found by something.
A big black ball with glowing yellow eyes, a bump on the front of it, holding a bright, yellow lamp. The creature's eyes, Its endless eyes, were all glued on him. "I won't miss the smallest creature…" A voice in his head shouted, as he calmly turned his body and instantly bolted in the opposite direction of the creature.
'Okay, my theory was correct. Fuck.'
"Let's brighten the road ahead, so I can have a good view of the lives I must save." the voice boomed behind him.
He hastened his pace, only to lose himself in the black forest once again. All he could hear now, were the sounds of thumping coming from Big Bird as he slowly walked towards him.
Eventually, Bemaia ran across another one of them.
A small little thing, perched on top of a dark sapling.
A miniscule white bird with bright blue wings, a red stain on his chest and belly and the smallest beak Bemaia had ever seen. In truth, he already knew what those birds were, but he also knew what came after those three birds, and his heart beat, only increased by the second.
"Let's fly high. Let's hope that the world will change for the better." the voice spoke inside his head. Or was it, his voice?
The small bird took flight, and without resistance, started pecking Bemaia's head. 'No matter what, I mustn't fight back, else I risk being punished.' So he did the only logical thing to do in such situation, he ran into a random direction once again, Punishing Bird was close on his pursuit.
The voice spoke once again. "I'll give them a good scolding, so they won't even think about doing misdeeds again." But he, once again, powered through the loud voice speaking directly inside his head.
What was he searching for? Perhaps an escape from the Black Forest? Or was he simply running, trying to wait it out, surely, this was all a simple illusion created by his mind?
Another Bird, soon found him as the Small and the Big were in Pursuit.
This time, one with a long neck, his head was covered in white strips of cloth. On one of its wings, he held a golden scale.
"This scale always yields a clear verdict; I can make sound, precise judgement with it." The voice boomed once again, as Judgement Bird lifted its scale.
Bemaia, on the brink of giving up his life due to the circumstances he found himself in, noticed a big door, leading to… Nowhere? It was currently closed, and he knew exactly what that door was.
"The weight of your sins will determine the weight of your punishment." The voice boomed once again, as Punishing Bird relentlessly kept on pecking his head and Big Bird's thumping got louder and louder.
It was now or never.
Ducking underneath Judgement Bird's long legs(?) he reached the door, and with a mighty shoulder bash, the door swung open.
The last thing he heard, before starting to lose consciousness, were the chains of Judgement Bird's scale moving.
'So, safety I guess?' Was his last thought, before his vision went dark.
And eventually, Bemaia stopped thinking.
