In the magical kingdom of Equestria, Celestia raised the sun, signaling the beginning of a new day. In the castle of friendship, in the town of Ponyville, a certain alicorn princess was sleeping in her bed.
That's when Spike, her dragon assistant, entered the room.
"Good morning, Twilight." said Spike.
"Mmm. Spike, five more minutes." said Twilight rolling over to try to sleep.
"Sorry, but this is what you get for spending all night organizing the library, again." said Spike going to the window to draw the curtains, letting the sunlight come into the room and hit the alicorn's face, causing her to roll over again. "Come on, it's a beautiful day. The sun is shining, birds are singing, mysterious objects are falling from the sky..."
"Spike, I don't care about the sun, not the birds or the... Wait, did you say mysterious objects falling from the sky?" asked Twilight quickly getting out of bed to look out the window.
Just as the assistant dragon had said, several glowing objects could be seen falling from the sky. Some drifted far away, while the others fell directly onto the Everfree Forest.
"What could it have been?" asked Spike.
"I don't know, but we need to find out. Spike, go warn the others as soon as possible." said Twilight giving the dragon an order.
"Understood." said Spike before running out of the room to do his bidding.
Meanwhile, in the Everfree Forest, glowing objects falling from the sky impacted the ground, generating smoke screens.
"Ugh. My head. It's been like being in a vehicle." said Natsu before covering his mouth to keep from throwing up. "I hope I don't have to go through that again."
"Me too." said Lucy.
"What? Lucy? Lucy, are you okay?! Where are you?" asked Natsu looking around for his friend.
"I'm... underneath you." said Lucy.
Natsu looked down to see that he was sitting on the stomach of the celestial mage, who was blushing from the position they were in.
"Ah, Lucy. I'm glad you're okay." said Natsu with a smile.
"I-I am too, b-but could you get off me, please?" asked Lucy embarrassed by the situation.
Natsu got up and helped the celestial mage up as well.
"Natsu!" the two turned their gaze to the side to see Happy flying towards them. "Are you okay? Where are the others?" asked Happy.
"We're fine. As for the others, I think they were just falling in with us." said Lucy.
"Tsk. Knowing that exhibitionist, he'll be stripping off somewhere." said Natsu before getting punched in the head by the ice mage.
"Who are you calling an exhibitionist, you idiot?" asked Gray with rolled and slanted eyes and shark teeth.
"And who are you calling an idiot, you idiot?" asked Natsu with white, slanted eyes as he bumped his forehead against the ice mage's.
Before they started fighting, they both received a punch to the head from Erza that sent them both to the ground.
"This isn't the time or place for your childish bickering!" exclaimed Erza with white, slanted eyes and sharp teeth.
"Yes..." they both said in unison as they lay on the ground with a bump on their heads.
"Where are we?" asked Wendy.
"I'd say we're in a forest, but this place doesn't ring a bell." said Charle.
"Maybe it's a place in Earthland that we haven't explored yet." suggested Happy.
"I don't think that's it." said Erza.
"Why do you say that?" asked Lucy.
"Normally, Earthland's atmosphere is filled with magical particles, but this place has something different. It's magical, but different from the one we know." said Erza.
"Are you implying that this could be like Edolas'?" asked Gray.
"It's possible. Fortunately, we won't have a problem with not being able to use magic." said Erza.
"But then what are we going to do now?" asked Wendy.
"I'll tell you what we're going to do. We're going to find those bastards who brought us here and beat the crap out of them." said Natsu pounding his fist with his palm.
"Aye, sir." said Happy agreeing with his friend's idea.
"I don't think that's a good idea." commented Lucy.
"I'm coming after you!" declared Natsu running to the front with no regard for anything.
"Wait, Natsu. Do you even know where you're going?" asked Gray.
"Ugh. How can you be so careless?" asked Charle.
"That's Natsu for you." said Lucy.
"But we don't know what might be in this world." said Wendy.
"Then we'd better follow him before something bad happens." said Erza.
"Before?" asked Gray, knowing that, when it comes to Natsu, things can get very out of control. Very much so.
Sometime after Spike arrived at the castle with the rest of the Mane 6, Twilight explained the details and the six ponies and dragon went to Everfree Forest to find out what it was that fell from the sky.
"So, let me get this straight. You called us just after the day started because you saw some strange objects fall in the forest and you want us to come and investigate it?" said Rainbow Dash flying close to her friends.
"That's exactly it." said Twilight.
"What if it's just a meteorite that fell from space? There's usually one that falls from time to time." said Applejack.
"Maybe, but normally, meteors fall from space, those objects were more like they just suddenly appeared and fell from the sky." said Spike.
"Uh. They might be visitors from another world who have left behind a friend of theirs who has a glowing finger that heals wounds." said Pinkie Pie.
"I don't think that's exactly what it is." said Rarity.
"But she's right, they could be anything, so we should go find out." said Twilight.
"But what if they are dangerous creatures?" asked Fluttershy nervously.
"Relax, Fluttershy. It's not like one of those things that fell from the sky is hurtling towards us." said Rainbow Dash.
Suddenly, everyone stopped when they heard a scream approaching.
"W-W-What is that?" asked Fluttershy trembling with fear.
"It sounds like it's coming straight this way." said Applejack.
"Girls, get ready for anything." said Twilight before they all positioned themselves to fight, except Fluttershy who hid behind Rarity.
As the seconds passed, the scream grew closer and closer.
"Whatever it is screaming, it must be a horrible beast." said Rarity.
Suddenly, Natsu came out of the bushes, letting out a scream that caused Mane 6 to scream as well, but in terror. Because he wasn't looking where he was going, the fire dragon slayer ended up crashing into the Mane 6, resulting in them all ending up knocked down.
"Hey, watch where you're going." said Natsu sitting up while rubbing his head.
"That's my line." said Spike sitting up as well.
That's when they both looked at each other. In Spike's case, he was completely surprised, as he recognized the creature in front of him as a human.
Before he could think about what he was seeing.
"A dragon!" exclaimed Natsu grabbing the dragon and raising him to his full height. "I can't believe it! Haha. A real dragon! This is amazing! Haha." said Natsu as he spun around while keeping his gaze on the little dragon before stopping. "What's your name?"
"Uh... Spike." said Spike confused by the dragon slayer's reaction.
"Spike, huh?" asked Natsu before setting the dragon down. "That's a good name."
"Thank you?" asked Spike still confused by the dragon slayer's reaction.
"Ahem." hearing the throat clearing, Natsu shifted his gaze forward to see the Mane 6 scowling at him, except for Fluttershy.
"Excuse me, but you crashed into us a moment ago." said Rarity.
"Huh? Did I?" asked Natsu having forgotten what happened before.
"Yes, you did." said Rainbow Dash before putting her face in front of the dragon slayer's face. "So tell us who you are and what you're doing here or I'll have to hit you back from earlier."
"Ah, yes? You don't scare me, you winged horse." said Natsu pushing the pegasus back.
"I'm a pegasus, you piece of...!" said Rainbow Dash before a magical aura surrounded her and took her back to the others.
"Forgive my friend. She's usually like that. Anyway, you're a human, aren't you?" asked Twilight.
"Of course I am. Can't you tell?" asked Natsu, crossing his arms.
"Of course. I'm just saying that because you don't see many humans around here." said Twilight.
"Ah, no?" asked Natsu.
"Not at all. By the way, who are you?" asked Rarity.
"Well, I'm..." started Natsu before an armored fist hit him in the head, knocking him down in the process.
"Natsu, you idiot! How could you even think of jumping in without thinking?" asked Erza.
Needless to say, the Mane 6 recoiled in fear at the redhead's terrified attitude.
"I-I-I can explain." said Natsu trembling with fear.
"The only reasonable explanation is your little lizard brain." said Gray arriving on the scene.
"I beg your pardon?" asked Natsu getting up and clashing foreheads with the ice mage.
"Enough both of you!" exclaimed Erza.
"Y-Yes, ma'am." said the two in unison.
If earlier the Mane 6 were frightened by the redhead's presence, now they were confused.
"Okay can someone explain what's going on?" asked Applejack.
"They look like fun people." said Pinkie Pie.
"Fun in what way?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"You're mean, Natsu. Look at you leaving me behind." said Happy arriving on the scene.
"Aw." expressed Fluttershy before grabbing the exceed and hugging him. "What a cute cat." said Fluttershy hugging the exceed.
"Hey! Get off me! I'm not a stuffed animal!" said Happy before breaking free from the yellow pegasus' embrace.
"But well, what's all the fuss about?" asked Lucy arriving on the scene, only to be shocked as soon as she saw Mane 6. "But what the...?"
"What's the matter, Lucy?" asked Wendy arriving on the scene.
At first she was shocked when she saw Mane 6, but then her attention turned to Spike and that made her let out a gasp of surprise.
"Awesome! A real dragon!" exclaimed Wendy crouching down to the dragon's level. "What's your name?" asked Wendy.
"Spike." said Spike.
"Spike? That's a cute name." said Wendy.
"Hehe. Thanks." said Spike with a blush as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Wendy, as amazing as it is to find another dragon, you shouldn't approach strangers so easily." said Charle.
"Okay. That's it!" said Twilight in a high pitched tone, flying a little to get everyone's attention. Once she got it, she landed on the ground and took a deep breath to calm herself down. "Sorry about that. I just wanted to center things."
"It's okay. We know we don't usually make a good first impression." said Erza.
"You don't say?" asked Rainbow Dash rolling her eyes before getting a nudge from Applejack.
"Anyway. Since we're all here, can you tell us who you are?" asked Gray.
"Of course. I'm Twilight Sparkle, princess of friendship." said Twilight introducing herself, title and all.
"A princess?!" asked Lucy in shock before bowing. "Forgive us, your highness. We didn't know." said Lucy hoping they hadn't provoked a conflict with another kingdom.
"I completely apologize for the behavior of the two of them." said Erza pushing Natsu and Gray's heads together to force them to bow next to her.
"Please. Don't be so hard on us." said Wendy bowing as well.
That only made the alicorn blush with embarrassment.
"Y-you don't need to do that. I'm not upset or anything." said Twilight.
"And even if I was, Twilight would never be that harsh and strict." said Rarity.
"For some things, yes, but for this she's not at all." said Pinkie Pie.
"Yes, she is our friend." said Fluttershy.
The Fairy Tail mages were a bit reassured to see that the alicorn was nicer than they thought.
"Anyway, back to the topic from before, I'm Applejack." said Applejack.
"I'm Rarity." said Rarity.
"I'm Rainbow Dash." said Rainbow Dash.
"I'm Pinkie Pie and I'm super-mega-hyper-glad to meet new friends." said Pinkie Pie violently shaking the hand of every mage in Earthland.
"A-And I'm Fluttershy. N-Nice to meet you." said Fluttershy shyly.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Natsu Dragneel." said Natsu.
"Lucy Heartfilia." said Lucy.
"Gray Fullbuster." said Gray.
"Erza Scarlet." said Erza.
"I'm Wendy Marvell, nice to meet you." said Wendy bowing by way of greeting.
"I'm Happy. Aye, sir." said Happy.
"And I'm Charle." said Wendy.
"Well, now that we've all introduced ourselves, can you tell us what you're doing here? You don't usually see many humans around here." said Twilight.
"Do you know about humans?" asked Erza.
"Let's just say we've had our encounters with them before, but in another world." said Spike briefly recalling the adventures at Canterlot High.
"That confirms my theory." said Erza crossing her arms. "Looks like we're not in our world anymore." said Erza to the surprise of everyone present.
"Wait, you're from another world?" asked Applejack.
"Well, considering that, where we come from, there are no talking ponies, it's quite logical." said Lucy.
"And so say those who go with talking cats." said Rainbow Dash.
"Young lady, we are exceeds, not cats." said Charle with her hands on her hips.
"Still, you are still adorable." said Fluttershy petting Happy's head.
"Since we seem to have a lot to talk about, it would be best to go somewhere more comfortable for that." said Twilight.
"I agree with you, majesty." said Erza.
"Please, just call me Twilight." said Twilight with a smile.
"All right, Twilight. Lead the way." said Natsu with a grin.
With all said and done, the Mane 6 and the Fairy Tail mages set off to a place where they could have a quiet conversation about the fact that humans and exceeds were in another world.
