Chapter 21
A week after the arrival of the new members of our Kingdom, Arthur and his construction crew had already finished the new houses to accommodate them. I was exhausted, having spent the whole week naming the three hundred monsters that had no names. The problem wasn't the number of magicules, but finding names for all of them that didn't sound like tongue twisters. Once I finished naming them, they all evolved. The Garuda evolved into Thunderbirds with the storm element I had obtained by analyzing the core of Charybdis. Thanks to this evolution, their wings were much longer, and they had an intrinsic skill called "Lightning Manipulation". The Brownies evolved into High Brownies; their appearances hadn't change much, but their magic had increased considerably. Ultimately the Gremlins evolved into Hoggremlins; further increasing their intelligence.
The eggs I had laid in the castle cellar were ready to hatch, and just in time, as while reviewing some documents in my office, I received a "Thought Communication" from Hiroka, telling me that Thorny was just outside the city walls, requesting an audience with me. With a couple of thoughts, I teleported to her.
"Silly idiot!" – Thorny yelled at me, as I showed up.
"May I know what the fuss is about?" – I asked, exasperated.
"You left without telling me, Idiot!" - She kept screaming. "I appeared in the old village, only to find it deserted! Do you know how worri… I mean how angry I was that I was left behind?"
"You were going to say you were worried about us, weren't you?" – I told her, smiling.
"N-no, n-not at all. You are imagining things." - She answered, her cheeks rosy.
"Whatever. Welcome to the Kingdom of Avalon." – I told her, and I noticed that she didn't come alone.
"These are the most powerful spirits I could find. They are willing to serve you, as long as you keep your promise to give them a body and a name." – Thorny told me, pointing to the seven spirits that had accompanied her.
"An honor, Lord Rogan. I'm a Fire Higher Spirit Ifrit. I, and my one hundred subordinate Salamanders, would be happy to serve you." – A male-looking spirit told me. His hair was red with golden highlights, and his skin was tanned. His red eyes were looking at me intently.
"I'm a Water Higher Spirit Undine, Lord Rogan. I brought a hundred subordinate Morlocks who will serve you well." – Added a female-looking spirit. Her hair was blue and as long as she was, her skin was pale, and her eyes were blue.
"I'm an Earth Higher Spirit War Gnome. I don't like to talk much, but I brought a hundred Beast Gnomes to serve you." – Said a masculine-looking spirit, very stocky and covered in thick armor. The little of his face that could be seen revealed tanned skin and yellow eyes.
"Hello, hello! I'm a Wind Higher Spirit Sylphide. I brought a hundred Whirlwinds to work for you." – Said a female spirit. Her green hair and pale skin stood out against the beautiful, transparent butterfly wings behind her.
"I'm Space Higher Spirit Nebula. I'm very rare and almost unique. I brought my hundred Stars to serve you, but only if you can keep your end of the bargain." – Said a haughty female spirit. Her hair was purple, and it floated around her as if defying gravity.
"I'm a Darkness Higher Spirit Nox. An honor Lord Rogan. I brought a hundred Shades to work for you." – said a male spirit. His hair was black as night, and his skin pale, as if he spent very little time in the light.
"I'm a Light Higher Spirit Lux. It will be an honor to serve you, Lord Rogan. I also brought a hundred Gleams with me." – said a small spirit with wings. He was as small as Demon King Ramiris, and his hair was golden.
"It is a pleasure to meet you all. Before you agree to serve me, you must know that I'm now a Demon King." – I warned them, but that only seemed to excite them more.
"Ohh, a Demon King! It's impressive that such a young creature is already a Demon King. With more reason we want to serve you, Lord Rogan." – said the Fire Higher Spirit, and the others nodded.
"Very well. I will take you to where your bodies await." – I said and transported us all to the basement of the castle.
The spirits were very impressed with the eggs I was able to create, and even more so when I showed them what their bodies were. Once everyone was ready, I used "Molecular Creation" to create five hundred and eight Spirit Cores. One for each of the spirits, and one for Thorny as well. She had earned it. I then proceeded to place the souls of all the spirits into the spirit cores and then placed them into the bodies that were to be born. Then, before they even hatched, I named the seven Higher Spirits with the names of Ignis for the Higher Spirit of Fire; Aqua for the Higher Spirit of Water; Petro for the Higher Spirit of Earth; Ventis for the Higher Spirit of Wind; Stella for the Higher Spirit of Space; Tenebris for the Higher Spirit of Darkness, and Solis for the Higher Spirit of Light. I then proceeded to name the rest of the spirits. As expected, they all evolved.

After the Higher Elementals evolved into Elemental Lords, the lesser Elementals evolved into Higher Elementals.
And so, unknowingly, I had created seven Spirits that in the future would be as powerful as Rimuru's and Guy's Primordial Demons. But I didn't know that yet.
Once all the spirits got used to their respective bodies, I immediately put them to work. I ordered Petro, who's evolution had turned him into a large and muscular Dark Elf-Spirit, no longer with a giant armor, to help Arthur with the construction of the city. Petro would later become the captain of the island's defense force. I ordered Aqua and her men to help Triton with the fishing, and to train to become the Avalon Navy. I put Ventis in charge of leading both her men and the Thunderbirds to make them into a top-notch combat air force. I had Stella and her subordinates investigate the space gates I wanted to create. Ignis, Tenebris, and Solis, and their subordinates would join our army directly, under the command of Okimura.
And so, I created what would later be called the Elemental Battalion, made up entirely of Elemental Spirits, a force that would rival Rimuru's Black Numbers as the most powerful army in the world.
A few days after the incorporation of the spirits into our population, I was planning what to do with the remaining eggs, when I received an emergency call through "Thought Communication". This call belonged to Triton, the overseer of the fishery in Avalon.
"Lord Rogan! You must come immediately to the coast. We found something on the bottom of the ocean that I think you'll want to see." - Triton told me.
With my curiosity piqued, I teleported to his location, on one of Avalon's fishing boats.
"Lord Rogan! Welcome Sir." – Triton told me when he noticed my presence.
"Hello, Triton. What is it you wanted to show me?" – I asked.
"We have found some kind of temple at the bottom of the ocean, sir." – He said pointing towards the water.
"A temple?" – I asked. "Let's see."
I dived to the bottom of the ocean. Thanks to being an undead being, I didn't need to breathe and the pressure didn't affect me. I went down to the bottom, until the sunlight completely disappeared and I could only see thanks to the Ultimate Skill Grigori. When I got to the bottom, I found a huge underwater temple, just as Triton had said. Wanting to satisfy my curiosity I delved into it. The temple only consisted of a large room filled with rubble. The only thing that drew attention, apart from the fact that it was an underwater temple, were the walls. Large images carved in stone decorated all the walls, as if telling a story. Beneath each image, unreadable text could be seen. The first image showed a large dragon, with its wings over a large sphere.
Raziel, can you translate what it says?
Translating…
"At the beginning of time, the Great Star Dragon Veldanava, in his magnanimity, created the world and everything that inhabits it. No one knows where he came from, only that wherever he went, life and matter took shape. Once he created the world, the Great Dragon decided to live in Heaven and watch over the welfare of his creation from there."
The second image showed a different dragon than the first.
"But the Great Dragon was not the only one. A new True Dragon was born in the world created by Veldanava. This was Veldark, embodiment of destruction and chaos. The younger brother of the Star Dragon."
The third image showed both dragons in full battle.
"Veldark, in his chaotic nature, tried to destroy the world created by his older brother. But Veldanava would not let his creation be destroyed by the whims of his destructive brother, so he faced him in battle."
The last image showed one of the dragons imposing itself on the other.
"It hardly mattered how powerful Veldark was, for his brother would always be even more powerful. Star King Dragon, Veldanava defeated his treacherous brother, but he did not find in his heart the hatred necessary to destroy him. Instead, Veldanava locked Veldark in another dimension, sealing the door to it with his own flesh and blood, thus ensuring that his mad brother's desire for destruction would never reach his world again."
As Raziel translated the writings for me, my mind wandered to what I knew of Veldanava and the true dragons. According to what Raziel had told me, there were only four true dragons: Star King Dragon, Veldanaba who had died long ago; White Ice Dragon, Velzard who ruled the northern continent with Guy; Scorch Dragon, Velgrynd, whose whereabouts were unknown, but it was suspected that she lived in the east; and Storm Dragon, Veldora, who resided on Tempest for the time being. Raziel had no information about this mysterious Veldark. Thinking of asking Veldora himself, I decided that in my near future I needed to make a trip to Tempest.
Before leaving the temple, I found what was once an altar, and on top of it I found a rock slab of about three feet. What struck me about the rock tablet was that it seemed to constantly expel magicules. In fact, the entire temple was covered in a thick layer of magicules from the plate. When I tried to examine it with Raziel, I got this...
The target cannot be fully analyzed. Its function seems to be the continuous generation of magicules. No further information could be obtained.
So, it generated magicules continuously? Such a powerful item shouldn't just be lying around in an ancient temple, just like that! I was wondering if that was why sea monsters were so powerful? For continually feeding on all those magicules?
Deciding to take the plate and bring it to Avalon for further investigation, I teleported to my basement in Avalon and set about investigating the mysterious plate.
