Team 3: (TL) Kagome Higurashi - (Horiki/reiki) Natural Energy Manipulation, Tenya Ida - Engine, Mashiro Ojiro - Tail, Koji Koda - Anivoice, Izuku Midoriya - One for All( all parts of the quirk), Minoru Mineta - Pop Off, Momo Yaoyorozu - Creation

Kagome smiled as she looked at Koji. No words needed to be said between them. The lazy blink of his round eyes as he turned and picked his way down the hill that served as their chosen base. The past week has been eventful.

On the outside, it looked to the others of Class 1-A(and Class 2-A due to random encounters) they'd lazed about. Their mornings were spent in Tai Chi and meditation. During lunch and any free time they got was researching at school. And the rest of their time, when not sleeping, eating, or bathing, was Kagome lecturing them and creating specialized fuda for each member of Team 3. Along with planning and team building.

There were six fuda attuned to each member of their seven-man cell. Ida's had turned a deep blue, Ojiro a light gray, Kodas a soft yellow, Uzu's a green similar to his hair, Mineta a magenta, mom's a Fuschia. And, well, Kagome was not surprised her's had turned silver.

These Fuda(Kagome had been particular in explaining) were essential. It would tear if a member of the opposing team took out the person they were linked to. Let everyone else in Team 3 know how many members were left for their battle plan. Then came to their Team MVP Koji Koda and his quirk Anivoice, which up till now had served multiple purposes. The most important was reconnaissance.

Real-time information was imperative for their slim chance of surviving until the end. Kagome had been blunt that their chance of winning at best was less than 2 percent. MOm had backed her. The n came strategic planning. So Kagome had asked Aizawa-sensei if it was permissible to choose their 'base' before the Battle Royal and if there was video footage taken during their three-person rotation the week prior.

Their group's brief look of shock before he smiled before he answered yes to both. After explaining why for both things, permission had been granted. Hence Kagome chose this hill in the middle of the forested area. Her Horiki would last longer. The dense forest would give their base a cover advantage and access to various animals for Koji to communicate. Thus giving their team unassuming spies and extra combatants for Team 3.

Kagome closed her eyes, allowing her Horiki to sink into the earth beneath her feet. To seep into each plant around her. It was subtle, but she could feel the boost it provided. Some of her felt horrible since she was technically lying to her team and friends about her quirk.

Carefully Kagome directed her Horiki to the make-shift, non-lethal mines made by Mineta and Momo's quirks. Each was buried exactly six inches in the ground with a fuda attached. So Kagome knew where each was located and could trigger them at will. Getting the mines to work had been a minor ordeal.

One of the two downers over the past week. It was also the lesser of the two. Kagome drew back her Horiki a little as she recalled yesterday's surprise encounter at the prefecture park with Izuku's mom.

It had been an honest misunderstanding on Izuku's mother's part. But her happiness at seeing Kagome had her accidentally blurting out why Kagome had suddenly left all those years ago—making the rest of the day with Team 3 awkward. Because they wanted to ask for more information about her father's murder and her being in the witness protection system, that and the hurt Izuku tried to hide from her.

However, when they returned to the dorms, Kagome contacted her teacher, Aizawa, and All Might, informing them. They'd come over and give a light debriefing, stating it was special circumstances and not digging deeper for Kagome's sake.

Opening her eyes, Kagome bared her teeth. The sound of the final two fuda attached to arm ripping let her know she was the last standing member of Team 3. And she could sense the approach of two familiar aurae from her 2 o'clock and 5 o'clock. Bakugo and Todoroki had reached her position.

Reaching behind her, Kagome pulled out the bow mom had prepped for her, along with a quiver of arrows. In seconds Kagome threw up a small Horiki shield at the top. The last line of defense to protect Team 3's flag.

Bakugo felt shocked to see Kagome standing by the flag. On her left arm was the band marking her as Team 3 Leader. Yet his gazes focused on the noticed bow and arrow she held. He knew Kagome had been trained young and how good she'd been when they were children.

His mind began to shift through those he and Team 1 had fought. Their tactics were hit and run, then quick offense to defense. Bakugo realized it had to have been orchestrated by Izuku and Kagome. He'd seen momo and Mashiro as he covered the two areas his team had not chosen. And Uchaku had informed him Ida and Mineta were attacking hit and run in the Team 2 zone.

Narrowing his eyes and cracking his knuckles, Bakuto shot a brief look at Todoriko, who seemed to be focused on Kagome. Not concerned, as he knew Todoroki would be his final opponent.

Choosing to be cautious, Bakugo began to make his way up the hill toward Kagome. Already calculating how much strength he'd have to use in small, successive explosions to take her shield down.

When he was halfway up the hill, the soft laugh from Kagome had a chill rolling down his back. Bakugo looked to his side and did not see Todoroki. Craning his neck, Bakugo saw Todoroki still at the hill's bottom.

Whipping his head around to look at Kagome, Bakugo saw that silver glow that indicated she was using her quirk. It made the shield a bit hazier, but he could still see as Kagome drew the bow and fired the arrow at him.

Acting on instinct, Bakugo snapped his fingers. The light(for him) explosion obscured his vision for but a second. The feel of dirt flying up at him was disorientating until Bakugo felt something stick to him. With a sinking feeling and rising anger, he looked at his body to see the familiar sticky balls Mineta produced clinging to his person.

Todoroki felt glad he had decided to wait and watch Bakugo's progress. Having seen Team 3's odd behavior in lieu of preparing for today, he sensed something was off. And he'd been proven correct with the tactics Team 3 used.

It had struck Todoroki as odd that they'd never hidden who was on their team. Or that they acted like they weren't participating in the Battle Royal. Yet the second his base's surrounding area was hit, and two of his team had gone down, he'd thought it had been Bakugo's doing.

It had been a shock to see Ida dashing at a high speed with Mineta tied to his back, hurling his sticky balls. At the same time, animals were attacking his now prone allies.

Smiling, Todoroki shifted and carefully picked his way up the hill. Already he had Ice coating one hand while using his fire to maintain his body's internal temperature. Having sparred with Kagome, he knew close range could be dangerous. Though he now realized she could use a mid to long-range weapon, he quickly re-evaluated her.

Aizawa and the other teachers watched as the silver, opaque shield went down under the assault of both Bakugo and Todoroki's quirks. It was clear Kagome would lose. They could see how pale she'd become from overusing her 'quirk.'

"She gave up her right to be a part of the team to go against Class 1-B."

Several sets of eyes turned to look at Aizawa, who had spoken.

"What? Why? a few asked at the same time.

"It was part of a bargain she made," All Might responded. "Team 3, specifically her, came to Aizawa and me and asked for video footage of the three-man teams to study and choose their location before the Battle Royal began."

Silence engulfed everyone in the room as each person processed what was said. It was shocking a student had done that much planning ahead. Team 3 looked like they were not doing anything to prepare for the Battle Royal.

"Also, it'd be bad for her, as you can see. Her quirk exhausts her physically and mentally."

As the words left Aizawa's mouth, Kagome collapsed to her knees, raising both hands in surrender. Her pale countenance was covered in sweat, and she was visibly shaking.

Though it was only Aizawa and All Might who knew she was not using a quirk. It was best if the CopyCat user didn't come in contact with her. He'd be unable to use her quirk, which would raise unneeded questions.
