Life at the base was going on normally. The team had collected several minicons and relics.
Today was a mission in China they were searching for a minicon. It had to be around there somewhere. They talked to some of the locals and they said they recall seeing a shining light in some nearby mountains.
"Sounds like the minicon," Hot shot said.
"Then let's go check it out," Side swipe said.
They headed to the area where the shining was reported. There they saw a red light shining from the rocks. "The light that is shining is sort of a red color," Cyclonus said.
"I can see that now we must get to it," Hannah said.
They heard something and didn't know who or what it was.
Then Maim, Cutter, Trapper, Snaplock and Whammo appeared. "Okay Autobots and Decepticons time to defeat you right here right now," Maim said.
"Not a chance Maim," Hot shot said.
"Okay now I have been waiting for a rematch." Maim said pulling out his sword.
"Hot shot you handle Maim we will take care of the others and get the minicon," Optimus told him.
"Yes sir," Hot shot said.
Hot shot and Maim started a sword fight and it was ferocious. Hot shot pulled out the skyboom shield and blocked Maim's sword and Hot shot struck back. Hot shot had become very skilled with the star saber and was doing well with it. But he was unaware the sword and shield had more secrets to unlock. Hot shot was determined to keep Maim busy.
Maim slashed at Hot shot injuring him. Then Hot shot slashed the star saber back and sliced through Maim's sword. "It's over Maim you have lost this fight," Hot shot said. His arm was bleeding life blood.
"No it's not over and you have lost," Maim said and pulled out a second sword.
"Hey using more than one sword is cheating!" Hot shot said.
"Cheating? Since when do I play fair?" Maim asked and the sword fight started up again and Maim pulled out another and started to fight Hot shot with a double sword technique.
Then he heard something it sounded like a voice it was the sword telling him to jump back and swing the star saber and shout a phrase. Hot shot jumped back and he swung the star saber to the side and shouted. "Cosmic slash!" A burst of energy hit Maim knocking him back.
Everyone saw and they were shocked they were unaware the star saber could do that. Maim was about to use a barrage attack on the Autobot and Decepticon team. Hot shot heard the shield say jump in front and shout a phrase.
Hot shot jumped in from and shouted. "Sky guard barrier," a huge barrier appeared and protected the whole team.
Now the Autobots, Decepticons, Minicons, humans and Conquerdriods now knew there was more to these weapons than meets the eye. Side swipe grabbed the minicon and the droids retreated.
"There is more to the star saber and skyboom shield than we could ever know, apparently they are more than a simple sentient sword and shield, they have special capabilities that can be brought out and can communicate with their wielder." Hot shot said.
"These weapons are the most powerful in Cybertronian creation and not much was known about them and we are discovering more and more about them," Scavenger said.
"Hot shot continue practicing with the sword and shield learn each of their offensive and defensive qualities you should be able to use them more efficiently if you do," Optimus said.
"Yes sir," Hot shot said.
"This minicon panel is red I think it's one of the minicons guarding the astro gun," Side swipe said.
"Then we better find the other two and make sure the droids don't take them and the weapon falling into the wrong hands," Optimus said.
Meanwhile at the Conquerdriod base Conquortrone was preparing something and called Maim in. "Yes sir what do you want?" Maim asked.
"It's already prepare for your special surprise," Conquortrone said and took samples from Maim's spark and put them in tubes.
