At the droid base the tubes were beeping. "There we are the process is finally complete," Conquortrone said.
"It is so what did you do with my coding and spark essence?" Maim asked.
"This," Conquortrone said and opened the tubes.
Out came five clones. "You cloned me," Maim asked.
"Yes I did what do you think?" Conquortrone asked.
"Nice very nice and good looking," Maim said. "We will be able to crush the Autobots and Decepticons," he said.
"Us against the Autobots and Decepticons are you insane, I think I just wet myself," the first clone said.
"Are you crazy the Autobots and Decepticons are as good as scrap metal compared to me and other Conquerdroids," the second clone said.
"A great observation you hail in comparison to our creator the original Maim," the third clone said.
"I can listen to this one all day," Maim said.
"What are you talking about I am the original Maim." the fourth clone said.
"You lie I am the original Maim," Maim said.
"I never said I was the original Maim," the fourth clone said.
"Yes you did I was standing here when you said it," Maim said.
"Did not," the fourth clone said.
"Did too," Maim said.
"Haven't you figured it out yet he's a pathological liar. Each of us clones represent one aspect of your personality" the fifth clone said who was female. "He's a coward," she said pointing to the first clone. "He's an egomaniac," she said pointing to the second clone. "He's a suck up," she said pointing to the third clone. "He's a lair," she said pointing to the fourth clone. "And me don't ask where I came from," she snapped.
"This going to be good we can stop the Autobots and Decepticons now sir," Maim said to Conquortrone.
"Yes," Conquortrone said.
Meanwhile at the Autobot and Decepticon base things were going normally well. There was training and repairs going one so not much happening.
Hot shot was busy learning the secrets and training with the three great weapons that chose him. He knew they chose him because they said his spark was worthy, but at times Hot shot didn't feel worthy of their power.
Which sometimes lead to problems wielding them. Hot shot was trying his best at this yet sometimes he doubted if the weapons chose right by choosing him.
"Is something bothering you big brother?" Side swipe asked.
"You know when something is on my mind don't you little brother?" Hot shot asked.
"Yes whenever something on your mind big bro I can practically see the gears and in your head turning trying to figure out what's bothering you and how to get out of it," Side swipe told him.
"That is what I like about you Side swipe you always seem to know when I am feeling troubled and you want to help me," Hot shot said.
"So what's bugging you?" Side swipe asked him.
"It's the weapons at times I feel whether or not if they chose right as me being their wielder, I sometimes wonder if I am the right one to wield them after all I make so many mistakes and these weapons are so powerful, I feel at times I am the one not right for these great weapons I feel like they should be for someone even greater, someone more worthy of their power because they have the power to truly control it, like Optimus," Hot shot said. "I am worried about how can continue to prove I am worthy of these weapons if I don't always feel worthy," he said.
"Well Hot shot these weapons chose you they must sense something inside you, you can't even sense in yourself, maybe that is why the weapons chose you." Side swipe said. "Everyone has doubts at times Hot shot just don't let it over take you okay," he said. "But Hot shot all you have to do is keep fighting for what is right with them, to protect others and their peace, that is how you can continue to be worthy," he said. "If you ask me I think the weapons couldn't have chosen a better bot than you to wield them," he told his brother.
"You really think so?" Hot shot asked.
"I know so," Side swipe said.
Then about an hour later the alarm went off. "What is it?" Noah asked.
"A relic has been found it seems to be coming from polar Russia," Red alert said.
"We better get a move on and find it before the Conquerdroids do," Hot shot said.
"Okay now Hot shot I think you are ready to go on mission as a commanding officer," Optimus said.
"Really what me to attack as commanding officer on this mission?" Hot shot asked.
"Yes I know after all that has happened you are ready for this next step in your training," Optimus said.
"Yes sir," Hot shot said.
"Okay now Jetfire, and Scavenger go with him," Optimus said.
"Yes sir," they said.
"Demolisher, and Chainsaw you go too," Megatron ordered.
"Yes sir," they said.
"Now move out," Optimus said.
Hot shot and the others were now in polar Russia. "Now let's start searching for that relic," Hot shot said. "Jetfire check on things from the sky, Demolisher and Chainsaw you look to the west, Scavenger with me," he said.
Jetfire took off and started to search from the air while Demolisher and Chainsaw were searching west and Hot shot and Scavenger were looking east.
"I am surprised how much faith Optimus has in me and how much responsibility he has been giving me lately," Hot shot said.
"Well Hot shot you have shown you can handle it." Scavenger told him. "Optimus knows and sees that in you and wants you to continue to grow into the Autobot you were meant to be," he said.
"That's true but you guys can do things I can't, even my brother is able to do things I can't. I am just plain run of the mill Autobot soldier," Hot shot said.
"You are more than a plain run of the mill Autobot soldier," Scavenger told him.
"Are you sure?" Hot shot asked.
"Positive," Scavenger said. "Now let's keep searching for that relic." he said.
Then a com from Jetfire came in. "Hey Hot shot you are not going to believe this but is Maim and five bots who look a lot like him heading in your direction and I see the relic too." Jetfire said.
"Okay Jetfire," Hot shot said. "Everyone rendezvous at Scavenger and I's coordinates," he said.
"Understood we're coming," Jetfire said.
The others came and they headed out to face the droids. They saw Maim and the bots who looked like him. "Ah Hot shot where are the others back at the base?" Maim asked.
"So what if they are?" Hot shot asked.
"Well meet my clones they are sure bring you and the Autobots and Decepticons down," Maim said. "Now attack," he said.
A battle ensued and the fighting was hard. Maim's cowardly clone hid and Hot shot was fighting one on one with Maim. Hot shot was pushing him back. Hot shot saw the relic and knocked Maim out of the way badly wounding him. Hot shot grabbed the relic and held the sword to Maim. "What are you waiting for?" Maim asked. "Seize the day and end it, Optimus and Megatron would," he said even though he was stuck in rock and badly hurt.
"They wouldn't finish it not like this, Maim, I am not like you," Hot shot said.
"Clones retreat," Maim shouted and then slashed at Hot shot with his sword.
Then Maim and his clones left.
"Hot shot you were right when you said Optimus would finish Maim while he was helpless," Scavenger said.
"You right too, even Megatron would give his opponent a fighting chance," Chainsaw said.
"Optimus will be proud of how you handled this," Jetfire told him.
"Thanks guys I, argh!" Hot shot moaned grasped his side.
"Hot shot," Scavenger said.
Demolisher saw a serious wound on Hot shot's side. "He's wounded call the base and tell them to prepare the medical bay," Demolisher said.
"Hang in there Hot shot okay," Scavenger said.
Then they were warped back to the base. Once there Hot shot was taken into the medical bay where Ratchet treated his wound. "It's looks worse than it actually is, none of your major or minor systems were damaged, you just got a deep cut with several cut life blood lines and a few sliced circuits you are going to be fine," Ratchet said patching him up.
"Well it still hurts like dickens," Hot shot said.
"It's going to for a while it's was on a very vascular area, with some rest and pain relieves whether by medicine or Lightstar's pressure point massage you will soon be feeling better in a couple of days," Ratchet said.
Optimus came in a bit later. "Hot shot I am proud of how you handled things with Maim I know you will grow just fine into the bot I know you are meant to be," Optimus said. Optimus had a feeling it was going to happen very soon for Hot shot to become who he was meant to be.
