At It's A Wash, Greg is washing Mayor Dewey's Van with his Son Steven and his Son's Gf Lapis. "Almost done guys!" As he sprays the van with the hose he told the two. "Get the hubcaps!" After telling them Steven tells him. "Hubbing it up!" He then began to rub the hubcaps faster with the help of Lapis.

"Hub it good! This is a high-profile job."

Lapis asked. "You mean cause it's the mayor's election-mobile?" He nodded to them. "If we do this right, we might get political favors!" Steven tells his Dad. "I'm not sure what that is, but I like it!" He then grabs the hose and begins to spray the van with it, he accidentally hits Greg by mistake, who hits him back including Lapis by mistake, making them start a hose fight, they began to laugh as the mayor walks towards them.

"Hey, hey, hey! I'm not paying for father-son and...Gem, bonding here!" He is then sprayed with water making him shout. "Universe!" he then wipes the water off himself. "Control that kid." He told Greg pointing to his Son as he told the mayor while beginning to stand by his Son and Lapis. "Steven! Hehe, I'm sorry, Mayor Dewey. Hehe, this one's on the house." Dewey placed his hand under his chin and repeated what Greg said. "On the house, eh?"

He stares at the van and then points to Greg, giving a grin. "I like the way you do business, Universe." He then climbs into his vehicle and drives away as the siren to his van shouts. "Mayor Dewey! Mayor Dewey! Mayor Dewey!" Greg then sighs as his Son told him. "Political favors!" With a smile as his Father noticed and picks him up, giving him a noogie.

"Ahh, you rascal! Enough with the hose fights!" Steven laughs and tells him. "Aw, okay." They are then splashed by some water making them look over at Lapis who noticed and told them. "That wasn't me guys." She is then splashed by water as well, making them look at the culprits, which were a purple cat, a pink puppy, and a red and blue colored bird that's on fire, holding the hose. "What the?"

Greg said confused before he, Steven, and Lapis noticed the three chasing them with the hose around in a circle, continuously spraying them with water. "What is with these animals?" On cue of his asking the three animals formed into Amethyst, Pink Pearl, and Soren, who were laughing at what they did before Amethyst told the three. "Got you guys!" Steven shouts to them.

"Guys!" Greg then tells them. "Uh, pretty cool." Steven then told his Dad while looking at him and Lapis. "Really cool! I wish I could shapeshift like you guys!" When he told Lapis and the other three that, Pink Pearl begin to tell him while Amethyst ties the hose into a knot. "You could probably learn." Steven smiled and asked. "Really?"

Soren nodded. "Sure." He then points to Steven's shirt in the location of his Gemstone. "You've got a gem." Greg overheard them. "Whup! Magic stuff. Should I get out of here? Is there going to be an explosion?" He asked worriedly while looking around before his Son calmed him down.

"Oh, it's no big deal dad."

After telling him Soren then shapeshifted into Steven, but with his hair, skin, and clothing a different color. "Yeah, it's fine. See?" Soren said, shrugging. "Aah!" Greg said looking a bit shocked and surprised, seeing one of the Gems shapeshift into his Son.

Later

"Hey Pearl." Amethyst greeted before shape-shifting into seal as she and the others, minus Greg are back from, It's A Wash. "Arp, arp!" She said, clapping her flippers together making Soren, Pink, and the other two to laugh. "Do more!" Steven asked as Amethyst shifts back. "Check it out."

She then shapeshifts into a wolf and howls, making Pearl stare blankly as Amethyst then shapeshifts into her wrestler form, the Purple Puma. "Raaa!" She then shapeshifts into a jay and perches on Soren's head. "Whoa!" Steven said in amazement as Pearl walks over to them. "Amethyst, you're overdoing it."

"Uh, chill it, dude." She told Pearl who pointed out to her. "Just because you can shapeshift, doesn't mean you should." Steven then asked. "Can you shapeshift?" Pearl nods telling him with a smile. "Well of course..." Before she finished Amethyst cuts her off, shapeshifted into her. "Well, of course, I can, I'm perfect!" She then hits her back side shouting. "WOMP! WOMP!"

Pearl then pushes Amethyst to the side making her tumble away laughing. "All Gems have shapeshifting powers, Steven," Pearl told him as she began showing them project hologram of Gem shapeshifting. "We can turn into objects, we can change parts of our bodies or...We could do that." She then looked over at Amethyst who is still smacking her backside in Pearl form.

"WOMP! WOMP!"

Steven became excited by hearing this and shouts. "I want to try it all!" Pearl then stops him. "Don't bite off more than you can chew, Steven." After telling him, Amethyst then shouted. "WOMP, WOMP! This made Pearl groan and head outside while Amethyst turns back into herself as Steven asked Lapis, Amethyst, Soren, and Pink Pearl.

"Alright! Show me how to change into a, uh, huge lion!" Lapis tells him before the others could say anything. "Actually, Pearl is right. If you're gonna do this, you've gotta start with something easy Steven." She smiled as he asked. "Like the animals, they turned into?" While pointing at Soren, Pink Pearl, and Amethyst they smiled as Soren told him. "That sounds good." Amethyst then told him. "Now follow our lead."

She then began to demonstrate at while she and the two show it to him. "First, think of what you wanna be, and then, just shake it out." They then turned into the animals they were from before as Soren said with a smile. "See?" He then pointed to Steven. "Now your turn." Steven nodded then told them.

"Okay."

As Steven began to concentrate, the sound of the front door opening up grabbed their attention as they looked over and saw Anaya along with Blue and Violet. "Hi, guys." Anaya greeted before noticing Steven breathing in and out. "What's Steven doing?" When asked Lapis told her giving a small smile.

"We're trying to help Steven shapeshift." When she told her Steven one more breath in and then said as he tried. "Caaatttt!" He then waited, soon opening an eye before looking around to see if anything changed, unfortunately, he was still the same. "Nah, you're too tense. Just relax and feel it." Amethyst told him before eating some chips from the potato chip bag she's holding. "Bio-rhythms, yo."

Soren told Steven who nodded before pressing his fingertips against his temples. "Feeeelll iittt." He then waited again, still nothing. "Ehh...If you're not ready, we can try later." Pink Pearl told him with Soren and Amethyst nodding in agreement. "No, wait! I can do it." When he told the three they then shapeshifted back into themselves as Steven starts, "feeling it".

"Yeah, yeah. HUH!"

He threw his arms out in front of him and stood that position for a moment, before noticing nothing changed, almost feeling disappointed Lapis told him with a warm smile. "Well, it was a good try." She along with the 6 then heard a meowing noise coming out of nowhere before Steven opened his palm revealing that he had turned his index finger into a cat, as while it meowed, Soren, Amethyst, Pink Pearl began laughing as Steven said excitedly.

"This is so cool!" The others began to agree as Amethyst told him. "You should go show your dad. He's gonna freak out!" After telling him the cat then meowed as Steven told her smiling. "I have to show him. Come on Lapis." She nodded as they go to the door as while they do Anaya said while she and the two Pearl's followed. "Wait for us, we want to see how he reacts."

Later

At, It's a Wash, Greg was taking a break after the cars he and his Son along with Lapis had washed for today as he was holding a bottle of water he saw his Son, along with Lapis, Anaya, Blue and Violet Pearl coming towards him as Steven said happily. "Dad, we're back!" After telling him he greeted.

"Hey, Stu-ball." Steven then showed him. "Check it out!" While showing the cat finger to his dad, Greg drops his water bottle on Steven by mistake somehow weakening the cat finger as it shivered from the water. "I shapeshifted my finger into a cat!" Greg looked at the cat finger in amazement. "Whoa! Is, is that a thing you can do now? That's pretty...Cool."

Steven nodded. "I know, right! I'm gonna take this show on the road!" He then starts laughing while he, Lapis and the three headed off to show the others the cat finger, Steven has.

Later

"That'll be a dollar 'o five Steven," Sadie said as Steven, Lapis, the two Pearl's and Anaya were at the Big Donut now as Steven said. "Mm, okay. Here's a nickel. And a buck!" He handed her and Lars the dollar and nickel before holding up the cat finger to them, which meows when revealed. "Whaaat!?"

Sadie and Lars said in surprise and shock as Sadie said with a smile. "Oh Steven, that's adorable!" She then starts to pet the cat with her finger, which starts to purr, making her stop in a bit of confusion. "Are...You making it purr?" Steven looked at the cat finger before telling them.

"It kinda does what it wants."

Lars looked at it and asked. "Really?" He then roughly pokes the cat finger making it bite him. "Yow!" He yelped in pain as Steven told them. "See what I mean? Bad cat finger!" As he told the cat finger that Sadie then said with a smile. "Oh, I'm sure it just wants to play." Hearing this Steven gasped.

"You're right! And he doesn't have any friends." Lars told him mockingly. "Oh my gosh. It's just like you, Steven." Steven then breathes in and conjures four more cat fingers on the same hand before laughing.

Later

"Hey, Peedee! Whoa, you work the deep-fryer now?" Steven asked curiously with Lapis, Anaya, Blue Pearl, and Violet Pearl behind him before slamming his catless fist on the counter. "Make me some fry bits!" Peedee tells him. "Steven, I take my job seriously, please use the actual menu."

Steven then asked again. "Give me the bits!" He then slams his fist on the counter again. "The bits!" Mr. Fryman tells his Son. "Alright listen, it'll be over sooner if you just give him what he wants." Peedee sighs and goes to get the bits of the fries. "Whoa, hey, hey, it's not for me. It's fo' THESE GUYS." He then holds up the cat fingers showing Fryman them. "What the?!"

"Uh, here's your..." Peedee said before noticing the cat fingers as well. "Bits." He then placed the container down as the cats start to eat the bits. "I can't look away," Fryman said in surprise as his son said. "Steven, that is freakish." Steven shook his head before telling them. "No, it's not. It's natural." He then shakes his fingers on the other hand. "Sha-ake...It...Out!"

More of his fingers on his other hand turn into cats. "See!" Peedee and Mr. Fryman said surprised. "Whoa!" Fryman then shook his head before telling Peedee and the others. "You know who would love this? Your older brother Peedee. Yo Ronaldo!" When he said that, Ronaldo began to come out from the back carrying a box.

"What's up daa..." Ronaldo gasps noticing the cat fingers Steven has, making him drop the box as he pushes Peedee to the side looking in amazement. "I've gotta take a pic for Keep Beach City Weird!" He then takes out his phone and snaps pictures for it. "MEOW!" The cat fingers said not liking the flash. "What's that?"

Steven asked curiously with Lapis, Anaya, Blue, and Violet curious as well as Ronaldo told them while showing the screen of his phone. "It's my blog. Keep! Beach! City! Weird!" He said while doing hand actions, which his little brother, Peedee groans. "Can I see the picture?" Steven asked as he takes the phone took look at before the cat fingers whine in agony.

"Yikes!"

He said while he drops the phone. "Sorry guys. I guess cat fingers don't function well as...Fingers." Steven said while looking worriedly while looking at the cat fingers.

Later

Inside the Beach House, the 5 were back as Steven was in the kitchen trying to get himself something to eat as he said to himself. "I'm just getting a snack!" He said as the Cat fingers whine when he pulled a sandwich out. "Steven! Need some help?" Lapis asked curiously and worriedly as he told her with a smile. "Nah, i-it's cool." He said as he took a bite of the sandwich as Amethyst said with a smile while she, Soren and Pink Pearl leave.

"See ya later guys." They heard them as Steven said right when he was about to take another bite. "Huh?" Soren tells them. "We're taking the Gem Sloop out to sea to fight a living island." Steven drops the sandwich with a grin when he heard them. "What?" He then got up from the seat as he, Lapis, Anaya, Blue Pearl, Violet Pearl followed the three outside as Steven shouts. "Wait for us!"

Meanwhile

Outside, the 5 began to head towards the Gems that were on this boat they were taking out to the water as Steven shouted. "Wait! We wanna go on the Gem Sloop! I wanna see a living island! WAIT! WAIT! WAIT!" After he ran downstairs and to the dock, he soon accidentally ran into the water to catch up to the Gem Sloop, making the cat fingers meow and groan in pain from the water.

"Steven!" Pearl shouted which brought attention to Onyx, Yellow Pearl, along with the three who looked back at the docks as the three laughed from seeing this as Soren said. "C'mon, you can make it!" Steven tried to swim but the cat fingers kept meowing when he started to paddle, making the Gems gasp.

Pearl then shouted. "Steven, what's going on?" When she asked he told her when he was brought back to the docks. "Waah! I-it's nothing! I-I just turned all my fingers into cats!" Amethyst snorts before Lapis told them. "We all have to stay and help Steven!" Pearl tells her worriedly.

"We can't," Pearl told her, referring to herself, Yellow Pearl, Onyx, Soren, Amethyst, Pink Pearl. "This is a tectonic emergency. We'll deal with Steven when we get back." Pearl then looked back at the boat and shouts. "I blame YOU THREE for this." The Soren, Amethyst, Pink Pearl looked at one another before shrugging. "Eh, that's fair," Amethyst told her as Pearl growled before saying. "Grrr! Steven, just try to stay calm!"

After telling him she then looked at the others that weren't on the boat. "Lapis, Anaya, Blue Pearl, Violet Pearl, stay here with Steven. In case something goes wrong, please do everything you can to help him. Please." When asked, Lapis nodded. "Don't worry guys will watch over him."

"Thank you, guys."

When Steven thanked his Gf and the three Pearl then smiled and gave Steven a kiss before telling him. "Will be back in the morning. Stay safe, everyone." After telling them she then got back onto the boat as it goes off into the water while she, Onyx, Yellow Pearl, Amethyst, Pink, and Soren wave bye to them as they did the same since they won't see each other till the morning.

Later

Inside of the Beach House, an hour after Pearl and the 5 left, Steven was sitting at the couch looking at his hands as he said in anger. "Enough! No more cat fingers! I want Steven's fingers!" He stood silent for a moment before noticing what he said before shaking his head.

"And I don't mean little me heads on fingers, I mean my REGULAR fingers!" He then breathes in and places his hand onto a spot on his head as suddenly. "Meow!" He froze, confused not knowing what that came from before removing his hand from his head, seeing that that part of it had become a cat.

Soon after removing his hand from it his arm then turns into a cat too. "Wha! Aahhh! Stop!" He asked, grabbing the arm before the cat arm pulled him to the floor, as while laying there, he tried getting back up only to fall again as His foot had turned into a cat now too. "Oh no..." As more of his body began to turn he then shouted.

"Guys help!"

Lapis, Anaya, Blue Pearl, Violet Pearl heard this and began to head over to the location of Steven's shout as Lapis asked worriedly of him. "Steven, are you...Ok..." She couldn't finish her sentence when she along with the others gasped, seeing Steven being covered in cat heads shapeshifting from his body as Anaya asked, both frightened and worried.

"What's happening to him?!" Blue Pearl looked at them and said. "The cats are starting to take over his body. He can't control his shapeshifting powers at this point." After telling them Lapis then asked worriedly as Steven began to groan from the cats forming all over his body. "What should we do to stop this from continuing?"

When she finished they heard the sound of tearing and saw Steven was gone, with there being a tear in the screen door that leads outside, making Lapis gasp as they ran out towards it. "I don't know? This never happened before. But there has to be a weakness to get rid of them?" Once outside they saw Steven down at the beach as he was now being covered in them crawling in a circle trying to keep the cats at bay.

"Guys help, they're trying to escape!" As he told them while pulling himself towards them while the cat heads around him pulled away from them. "Don't worry Steven will help you." When Lapis told him she, Anaya, Blue, and Violet ran towards him and tried to pry the cats out of him, only angering them as they forcefully push them away and onto the sand.

After the cats did that the four began to get up as Violet asked worriedly. "Can't you make them go away, Steven?!" When the cats hissed and tried walking towards them to fight or scare them away, before a wave of water from the ocean hit one of Steven's arms, causing them to hiss and jump away from the water and onto the stairs as Steven told them while more cats shapeshifted out of him.

"I tried, but it made it worse! Ohh, my life is over! I can't go on magic adventures! I can't even open the fridge! And I'll never get to have a water fight with Lapis and Dad! Because these things hate...Water! They hate water!"

Steven then realized what they need to do as he looked down at the four and said. "Guys quick splash me with water!" After asking, Lapis nodded, ready to stop these cats from taking over her Bf before looking over at the ocean as she began to move the water, before splashing Steven with it, making the cats hiss in disliking of the water before jumping down to attack them again, luckily they dodged the attack as Steven told them.

"It's not enough, we need more water!" Steven then gasped as he told them. "Lapis, trap me in an orb of water?" Lapis shook her head. "No, I won't do it! You could drown!" Steven then asked. "Please, you've got to! I'm turning into a monster! An adorable cat monster!"

Lapis told him. "No your not Steven! And you never will become one." Steven then told her. "Then, please. Use the water, get rid of the cats!" Lapis hesitated a bit before going ahead what Steven pleaded for, as she sighed before giving a stern expression as she made more water come out of the ocean before surrounding Steven in it as the cats around him began to meow or hiss in agony as the water coated them.

"Is he going to be ok?"

Violet Pearl asked worriedly as she, Blue, Anaya watched Steven inside the water, after a few seconds, they began to see the figure of Steven inside of the water orb begin to move around rapidly which the Gems noticed. "Lapis release him, I think you got it all?" After telling her, she then brought the orb of water down, putting Steven down on the beach before making the water go back into the ocean.

"Steven?!" When Lapis asked worriedly as she and the other three head over to Steven who looked unconscious for the moment as when Lapis held him up in her arms she asked. "Steven?" Seconds after saying his name he soon opened his eyes and took a deep breath, breathing in oxygen as he smiled and looked at her and the others as Lapis hugged him, relieved that he's ok.

After the hug, he told them happily. "We did it." Just after he said that his left arm went up revealing his index finger is still a cat, when it meowed they began to scream and watched as Lapis sprayed the finger with the water she has, soon stopping when Steven's finger reverted back to normal, relieving them from getting rid of more cats.

Later

In front of the dock, Steven, Lapis, Anaya, Blue Pearl, Violet Pearl waited for the Gems to arrive as once they made it, Pearl got off the boat and went over to Steven. "Steven!" She said as she began to hold his hand. "Okay, let me see it. W-? Y-you got them to go away?" Steven smiles at them as Lapis told her.

"We got rid of them with water." Pearl sighed with relief and told them with a smile. "It just goes to show, always listen to me, and never listen to Soren, Pink Pearl, and Amethyst." The three overheard and said. "That's fair." Onyx then added in. "It also goes to show, you should have a little more faith in Steven."

Pearl blushes as Steven said. "Yeah, that would have been a total CAT-tastrophe!" This made some of the Gems laugh as Anaya said. "But he's feeling much better meow!" Steven, Lapis, Blue, and Violet laughed while some the others groan. "Ehhh? What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?" Lapis asked them curiously as Onyx said.

"Okay, that's enough." While he and the ones that were on the boat walk away Steven told them happily while he, Lapis, Anaya, Violet Pearl, Blue Pearl watched the others walk back to the Beach House. "Wait, I've also been coming up with cat jokes all morning. You guys, I'm FELINE fine. Everything's PURRRRFECT! Oh, come on! We were just KITTEN around!" Soon as he finished they then began to head back to the Beach House too.
