"Cannonball!" Shouted Steven right before he leaped off the pile of junk that Amethyst had collected throughout the years in her room, landing in a puddle. Surprisingly the puddle was deep as Steven vanished for a moment and came back out with the help of Lapis. "Having fun?"

Steven chuckled before telling her. "Yeah! Did you see how cool that was?" The water Gem nodded with a slight blush and smile. Steven looks up and notices Amethyst, Pink Pearl, and Soren appearing on top of the pile as well. "Guys, did you see? I think that was my best one!

"Eh." Amethyst shrugs. "You need to put more ball in your cannon." Lapis looked confused. "Ball in your what?" Steven asks Amethyst. "Isn't that gonna hurt?" The three look at each other before Soren shook his head. "No, I don't think so." Amethyst then grins as she grabs both arms of Pink and Spessartine. "Not if you do it like this. Come on!"

On cue the three jump, shapeshifted into three balls chained together and land in the puddle, causing a huge splash. Lapis gasped in a surprise of the cold puddle water while Steven climbs out of the puddle, laughing. "That was awesome! I want to jump in some more puddles."

"Okay." Amethyst began as she, Soren and Pink come out of the puddle as Pink warned. "Just choose wisely, some of them aren't safe." Amethyst agreed. "Yeah, like you can try this one...or that one." While pointing out the safe puddles, Steven notices one near him and asks. "What about this one?"

"What one?" Soren asked before becoming alerted, alerting the two with him. "Steven Wait, Don't!" It was too late as the small boy dunks his head into the puddle. "Hmm?" Steven looks around, holding his breath before realizing it was the Burning Room, or in this case, Garnet's room.

The sound of footsteps from below makes him look down, seeing the fusion, Garnet passing by as she places a bubbled gem in the room. Before Garnet could even see the young Gem, Steven is quickly pulled out of the puddle by a couple of hands.

"GASP!" Steven took in a breath of air, almost forgetting that he was holding his breath. "You gotta be more careful Steven." Amethyst agrees with Soren. "Yeah...Only Garnet is allowed in there." Pink Pearl then suggests. "Let's do something less dangerous and less...Nosey."

Amethyst looked and noticed another pile of her stuff and grinned. "Oh, why don't we jump off that?" Steven and Lapis look at where she's pointing at and were surprised by the height of it. "Whoa. How do you even stack your stuff that high?" Amethyst answers them. "It's a talent."

"I'm surprised it hasn't fallen down."

It didn't take long for Steven to the top of the junk pile with the help of Lapis Lazuli. Holding her hand, they look down from atop, seeing the three standing next to a puddle all three of them looking really small from the sheer height. Amethyst cups her hands around her mouth and shouts. "Do it!"

Steven became nervous before feeling Lapis' other hand on his. "Don't worry, we'll go together." Steven smiled at her before telling the three below. "Alright guys, I hope you're ready! 'Cause here We...GOOOOO-!" Suddenly they both hit a tire sticking out from the pile, causing to spin out of control with Steven screaming in fear till he and Lapis went through the puddle.

Meanwhile

After going through the puddle, the two manage to plunge themselves into Pearl's room, seeing the waterfall-like pillars surrounding them. "Pearl's room is connected to the puddles too?"

"I guess so." Lapis said with a shrug before another voice interrupted them. "What are you guys doing here?" The two were startled at first before noticing it was Anaya that spoke, who had Violet and Blue Pearl right beside her. "We were in Amethyst's room playing in some of the puddles together," Steven explained before becoming suspicious. "Speaking of which...What are YOU guys doing here?"

Anaya looked back at Blue and Violet Pearl with a nervous look before telling them. "It's best that we show you. But you need to be qui-." Just before they could, Soren, Amethyst, and Pink Pearl arrive next to them with the purple Gem shouting. "Ha! that was crazy!" She along with Soren and Pink noticed the three. "Hey what are you-?"

"Shh!" Blue Pearl began before pointing over to an opening to a waterfall pillar. Upon inspection the five can see Pearl appearing there, dancing with a bubble full of Gem Shards instead of a usual corrupted Gemstone. "We found out about this the last time we came to visit." Violet began. "The door to Pearl's room just opened and well, we saw her just dancing with that bubble full of shards."

"Is that all she's doing with it?" Lapis asked confused which Anaya answered. "Yeah, but the question is, why is she dancing with it and why is it a bubble full of shards?"

While trying to figure out or to give a valid answer, Amethyst looks at Soren and Pink with a sly grin and told them. "Garnet's gonna be so maa..." They couldn't hear the rest after she sunk into the water, only to watch with a smile as she moves towards Pearl with her bubbles showing where she's at.

"Maybe she's just checking to see if they could be put back together." Steven theorizes before Violet tells them. "Or maybe she's using it as the instrument people call, maracas."

"Or she could...Could be..." Anaya looks at the group and notices something. "Wait, we're a head short. Where's Amethyst?" Soren tells them while pointing. "She's going to get our answer."

While Pearl was humming examining the bubble of shards, Amethyst began to sneak up behind, taking a deep breath before shouting. "BUSTED!" Pearl was soon startled by the surprise. GAH! Wha-?!" She turned around shocked not only noticing Amethyst but the others as well who left the hiding spot. What are you doing here?!"

"What are you doing here?!" Amethyst mocks Pearl who began to look nervous before telling them. "Oh, I-I...I just wanted to see how the shards are reacting to the bubble. It's none of your business."

Amethyst then tells. "I think it's Garnet's business." Pink Pearl adds in. "You did take that bubble from her room." Soren also adds in. "Which you told all of us not to do." Angered and worried, Pearl warns them, mostly Amethyst as she grabbed her by her tank top. "Don't tell her!"

"How are you gonna stop us?" Amethyst pulls Pearl's hand away from her clothing and tries to reach for the bubble, only to get a foot kicked into her face, which she in retaliation of the kick.

Pearl flinches from the bite. "Ow! Amethyst!" During the little struggle, Steven and Lapis run in between the two to stop them. "Guys, stop fighting!" "Fighting isn't going to do anything!" While they try stopping them the others watched. "Uh...Should we intervene?" Soren answers Anaya while shaking his head. "I'd rather not."

"Heathen!" Pearl shouted at Amethyst who replies with a hiss. Quickly Steven takes the bubble from Pearl's hand. "Here. Let's just put it back where it belongs." Pearl tells him with worry in her tone. "Steven, be careful with that!" Amethyst grins and says. "Yeah, give it to me!" Both her and Pearl reach for the bubble at the same time and accidentally pop it together.

"Oh no..." Pearl whispered before the shards that were in the bubble started to glow and reform into severed limbs. They gasped with Steven screaming as the limbs crawled off his hands and down the waterfall, earning a horrified scream from Violet who hugged both Blue and Anaya close to her as the limbs scattered throughout the temple.

Everyone was silent after the limb shards were gone from the room. After a minute Steven whispered. "We need to get Garnet." The Gems look at him wide-eyed. Pink Pearl was the first to speak. "Are you kidding me?!" Amethyst shook her head. "No! No way! We just freed a bunch of mindless Gem chunks, okay?! They're going to crawl who knows where, all over the temple. And when Garnet finds out, we're dead!"

"No," Pearl began, sounding a bit panicked before calming down. "Sh-She's not going to find out...We're going to catch them. All of them." Amethyst agrees "You're right. Every single one, back in a bubble and back in the basement!" Pearl then finishes. "Like nothing ever happened."

Steven then asks. "And then we tell Garnet?" The Gems minus Lapis shouted. "No!" Pearl then tells the two while placing a hand on Steven's shoulders. "This has to stay a secret, okay?" Amethyst then tells him. "A secret that Garnet will never know about." Soren adds in. "Never in a million years, okay?"

"Our secret... together?" Steven then let out a gasp and smiled. "If we've got a secret, we've got to do this right, which means we got to come up with a name for our secret-keeping team. Something cool, like...Oh! The Secret Team!" Everyone were unsure with the name of the team they will become, exchanging some glances with the others present in the room.

Steven then continues. "And a Secret Team needs membership cards that we can show off to other people!" Steven soon pulls out some coupons out of his pocket and hands them to the group.

"Here! You're all going to need this." They look at their coupons with Pearl reading the label out loud. "Fish Stew Pizza?" Amethyst asks them. "Eh, what's a VIP-IZZA?"

Steven explains to them. "Well, if you collect enough of them, you can get a free pizza. But now, they're the official card of...The Secret Team!" Soren then asked. "So after this is done we could use these to get something to eat over at the restaurant?"

"Mm-hm!" Steven hummed with a nod as Lapis gives a smile to the young Gem. "I think this is nice Steven. Thank you." "Welcome." After telling her Pearl put away her "Secret Team" card into her Gem and summoned her Spear. "Come on everyone. We're doing this."

Amethyst nods with a serious expression as she and the others summoned their weapons, prepared to hunt down the Gem Shard Limbs while Steven shouts while throwing his arm forward. "Secret Team, move out!"

Secret Team Montage

Within Soren, Pink Pearl, and Amethyst's room, the group began to scavenge throughout the junk piles and furniture in the bedroom, looking for the limbs that had fallen from Pearl's room and into theirs.

In one pile Amethyst swung her wipe towards it and yanked, pulling out an arm and a leg which Pink and Pearl stabbed or sliced, making them poof back to Gem Shards.

At a couple of puddles Blue, Violet, and Anaya were stabbing the limbs that were floating in them before grabbing the shards to preventing some of them from sinking into the puddles.

"Secret Team..."

It didn't take long for them to reach the room with the floating platforms which was full of limbs floating around or hanging onto the platforms which Soren and Anaya sliced.

While Lapis flew around collecting them with her powers and the help of Steven who is on her back, laughing in joy as they did, they look from afar and noticed Amethyst and Pearl getting along, working together to down some of the shards, which Steven smiles at.

"Secret Team..."

Soon after they make it to the Crystal Heart, finding the remaining Crystal Shard Limbs lounging around or hanging from the hard arteries of the Crystal Heart before being poofed back to shards by the others.

After reaching the bottom Pearl and Amethyst took down one together before high-fiving, which didn't last long when they noticed Steven being attacked by a disembodied hand, which they took care of a second later.

"Secret Team..."

Back at the top a waterfall in Pearl's room, the group was handing the Gem Shards they have collected to Pearl on each hand with Anaya counting before saying. "Okay, I think that's all of them." Steven cheered with a smile. "Yeah! Secret Team!" Pearl hums while looking at the shards. "Are you sure we didn't miss any?"

"No way! We totally nailed this."

Amethyst said with a grin with Blue Pearl adding in. "We've checked every part of the Temple, there were no signs of any other Gem Shard." Soren gestures a hand to Blue. "See? We're all good." Steven then cheers with his big grin. "Yeah!" Knowing now that's all of them, Pearl cleared her throat and said. "If you're sure this is all of them, then we just need to seal them all in a bubble from all of us."

"All of us?" Anaya began with a brow raised. "Why all of us?" Pearl noticed the curious looks on everyone's face and then looks at the Gem shards while explaining to them. "Back when it was just before some of you were around, these Gem Shards were the first ones that Garnet, Jewel, Rose, and I have bubbled together ensure that they don't try to get out like last time when it was just one of us that bubbled it."

"Is that why you were dancing with the bubble earlier?" Pearl blushed a bit from Anaya's question before shaking it off. "That question doesn't matter now. We need to bubble these shards before they reform again."

After telling them she then held her hands out holding the shards to the others, who looked at one another before placing their hands on top of the shards together. Before Steven could do the same, Lapis asks him. "Are you sure you can handle this Steven?" He looks at her and nods. "I can do it."

"Of course you can!"

They look at Pearl who spoke with a smile. "You're part of the Secret Club!" Steven smiles and corrects her. "Secret Team." She corrects herself. "Ah, yes. Secret Team." After Steven placed his hands on top of the shards, Pearl tells everyone. "Okay, ready?" Pearl then shouts. "Now!"

During the shout, everyone formed their bubbles together which merged into a colorful large bubble with the Gem Shards inside. The group was amazed at the bubble as it now more colorful then it was before, but after gawking at it, Pearl tells them. "Now, let's return this bubble back to where it belongs."

Later

Back in Pink Pearl, Soren, and Amethyst's room, the Secret Team stood in front of the puddle that leads to Garnet's room, looking down at it as Lapis said to her Bf. "Be careful Steven."

Steven nodded to her and dunks his head into the puddle again, seeing he made it through successfully without letting the bubble burst, he puts it back into place. Before going he noticed Garnet in the room and almost gasps as she turns her head slightly towards him. Luckily for a second time, he was pulled out of the puddle.

"G-Garnet!" Steven said after gasping. Worried Amethyst asked. "Did she see you?" Steven shook his head. "No...I don't think so." Everyone gave a sigh of relief. "Good. Mission accomplished. Congratulations, us." Pearl said with a smile. Amethyst smiled and high-fived both Pink and Soren. "Aww, yes. We're off the hook."

Steven grins and shouts. "All right!" He then asked. "So, what's next?" Anaya asks with a grin. "Yeah, this mission was amazing!" Amethyst tells them. "Nothing next." Soren then says. "Yeah, the mission we had is over now." Pink Pearl nodded while Pearl tells them. "Now everything goes back to normal and we never speak of this again." As they leave minus Lapis, Steven asked.

"But what about...Secret Team?"

Next Day

At the boardwalk, Steven and Lapis began to walk along the boardwalk up to Beach Citywalk Fries wearing both wearing a fedora, casting a shadow over their face. Making it there, Mr. Fryman greeted them. "Hey, Steven and...Lapis is it? What'll it be?"

"Give us...The bits." Said Steven as Lapis says. "Please?" Fryman nods and heads into the kitchen to get some fry bits. While waiting for the bits, Steven retrieves a dollar bill and the VIP-IZZA coupon from his pocket by mistake.

Taking notice Steven began to look at the coupon in dismay, having fresh memories of the Secret Team he, Lapis, Pearl, Amethyst, Soren, Pink Pearl, Anaya, Blue Pearl, and Violet Pearl made. "Sigh...We were the best, Fryman." Fryman's brow raised as he came back with the bag of fry bits, handing it to the two.

"Who was the best?"

Steven slams his fist on the counter slightly. "I can't tell you!" Lapis patted Steven's back. "Relax Steven. It's all in the past now." She said in a soothing voice. Steven calmed himself and gave out another sigh, eating a few fry bits.

"How come the best things in life are things you can't tell other people because you'd get in big trouble?" Steven's question left Fryman a bit concerned about the young Gem's recent activities and asked. "Are you both in a gang?"

Steven shook his head. "Not these days. But maybe we can be again." He eats a few more fry bits then handing the bag to Lapis before they walked off back home. As they leave Mr. Fryman began to scratch his head while telling his oldest son. "That kid keeps getting weirder." Ronaldo who appeared behind the counter, wearing a similarly designed fedora, waves at the two.

"Hey! I like your hat guys!"

Later

Upon the Secret Team entering the Temple of Yellow Pearl, Onyx, and Pearl's room, Violet who's with Blue and Anaya, looked at Soren, Amethyst, Pink and asked. "Any idea why we were asked to come here?" Pink Pearl shrugged. "We were going to ask the same thing." After making it to the center waterfall pillar that they stood at earlier today, Steven began to answer their previous questions.

"I know you must be wondering why Lapis and I brought you all here. It's 'cause we're gettin' the team back together!" He said with a big grin. He then pulls out a photo from his pocket and hands it to the Crystal Gem Leader. "So, here's the gig. I lost my special hat at the Big Donut."

The team seems confused. Pearl points at the fedora and tells him. "I've never seen you wear this." Soren agrees with the leader. "Yeah, also isn't it inside the Big Donut? I'm pretty sure you can go there and get it under a minute or two."

"It is, but that's the problem. The Big Donut is closed for the day." Lapis explained with Steven telling them. "So the mission is, we break in and get it back. And, bam! The Secret Team is back on top!" There was a short pause before Amethyst told them. "Guys, Secret Team is over."

Pearl jokingly says. "Secret Team? What's that?!" She chuckled with a nervous tone. Steven frowned a bit. "Aw, come on! We had so much fun together! Getting along, sneaking around-" Pearl cuts him off by putting her hands on his shoulders.

"Steven! That was not about fun." She began while crossing her arms. "That was about fixing our terrible mistake." Amethyst rolled her eyes. "Pfft. You mean your terrible mistake. You shouldn't have had that bubble in the first place."

Pearl points out while becoming a bit mad. "It never would have popped if you hadn't invaded my personal space!" Steven tried to stop things from escalating. "Aw, come on. Team, team!" It was no use however that didn't work.

"Fine, you can have all the personal space you want, 'cause I never want to be on a team with you again!" Amethyst shouted before pulling out her VIP-IZZA coupon and rips it in half with Soren and Pink Pearl following as well, not to leave Amethyst out alone. Steven gasps in horror as they drop it on the ground.

Pearl then yells. "Good! I don't want to be on a team with you, either!" She then takes out and rips her VIP-IZZA coupon too. "Fine!" Amethyst shouted with Pearl shouting back. "Fine!" They walk off in anger, leaving Steven, Lapis, Anaya, Blue Pearl, and Violet Pearl alone in the middle of the room as Steven shouted in dismay. "Guys, come on!"

Later

After leaving Pearl's room and back into the Beach House, Steven said with a bit of sadness and shame. "What are we going to do now?" Lapis, Anaya, Blue, and Violet look at him as he faces them and continues. "We were supposed to be a Secret Team again, and because of me we only made Pearl and Amethyst start fighting again."

"Don't say that Steven, it's not your fault." Said Lapis, trying to cheer Steven up before Anaya spoke. "It's our fault..." They looked at her and the two Pearls. "We should've gotten you guys out of Pearl's room instead of letting you stay and see what was going on."

Blue Pearl then adds in. "We also shouldn't have let our curiosity get the best of us when we first saw Pearl with that bubble." Violet agrees. spying on her wasn't a good idea."

"You guys aren't to blame either. It was going to happen either way." Lapis pointed out to them. Steven though was still disappointed about what happened earlier, but soon however that went away when an idea popped into his mind. "Guys, I think I know how we can fix this." His Gf, along with the three looked at him as he began to whisper to them the plan.

Hours Later

Inside at the middle-end table of Fish Stew Pizza, the group of 5 sat together and alone inside the restaurant, being the only customers in the establishment. Just then the bell above the door let out a jingle, they stare at the door to see Garnet who began to enter and soon sit across them stating in her normal tone. "I'm here."

"We have something we want to tell you." Steven discreetly pulls out another VIP-IZZA coupon and slides it to Garnet who picks it up and reads the card. "Pizza." Steven shook his head. "No! I..." He looks back at Lapis, Anaya, Blue, and Violet before correcting himself. "We need to come clean. Pearl and Amethyst popped a bubble. We made a Secret Team cover-up." Garnet then asks. "Any chance of the others being in on this too?"

"Only Soren and Pink Pearl." Lapis began. "Yellow Pearl and Onyx went to go and see how Jewel and Peridot are doing at their home and if they need help with anything new." Garnet hums with a nod, knowing that Lapis is telling the truth. Steven then tells Garnet "We only made Secret Team 'cause we didn't want you to know about it."

Garnet asks. "And now you're trying to do the right thing." Steven shook his head. "No, not really...Just want Secret Team again." After sipping a soft drink they got her, Garnet spoke. "I see, I know how to handle things with them. We'll have to form our own Secret Team to do it."

"GASP! "You mean like...A Super Secret Team?" Garnet nods before calling out. "Pizza Daughter!" On cue, Kiki Pizza walks over as Garnet tells her. "I'll take one Pizza Posse Card."

Minutes Later

Inside Pearl's room, she was training with her Spear atop a waterfall nearby where she and Amethyst had begun arguing earlier today. She stopped though when Garnet leaped in carrying Steven, Lapis, Anaya, Blue, Violet, Pink, Soren, and Amethyst with her arms, making the leader gasp in surprise before making her Spear vanish. "Garnet!" The said fusion then dropped the ground in front of her.

"What's the deal?" Amethyst asked in bewilderment while rubbing the top of her head. "Steven!" Pearl shouted while she checked on him, along with Lapis. After checking him he asked Garnet. "What is this all about?"

Garnet then spoke in an anger-like tone. "I know all about the Gem shards!" The Gems, except the five that were with Garnet at the Pizza restaurant, were giving one another nervous and almost scared glances. Suddenly, Steven gets up and confesses. "It was me! I'm the one who popped the bubble! All by myself."

"Steven..." Pearl began while getting up, looking shocked. "I can't believe you!" Garnet sighs with her arms crossed behind her back. "If no one else has anything else to say, and everyone else is innocent... Steven, I'm going to have to punish you." Steven weeps. "No! Not punishment!"

After giving a dramatic sigh, Lapis then told Garnet. "I deserve to be punished too. I was with Steven when we popped the bubble together." When she confused Garnet gave a sigh and tells her and Steven. "Okay. Come with me and I'll decide-"

In a matter of seconds, a giant hand emerged from the water and shoves Garnet underwater, leaving the Gems all in shock at what they've witnessed. Then another hand reappears at another waterfall, holding Garnet in its fist.

"GARNET!"

The Gems including Steven, Lapis, Anaya, Violet, and Blue summoned their weapons and charge at the hand, which quickly retreats underwater. "Oh, no! We must have missed a shard!" Steven shouted in panic as they go after the hand that pops up in each of the waterfalls at a quick pace.

"Stop moving!" Amethyst shouted as she, Soren, and Pink ambush it, only to be knocked away by another hand, flinging them onto or into another waterfall. Not long after the hand engages in combat with Anaya and the Pearl's both dodging each of their weapons as they try an attack them.

Soon the three got up or burst through the waterfall and rush back towards the hands, with one reacting to their attack, preparing to knock them away again. "Not this time!" Amethyst shouted before wrapping her Whip around the hand, which just reels them in like a fishing rod and grabbed them in one swoop, tightening its grip around the three while lifting them up high above the others.

"No!" Shouted Steven before hearing another scream. Looking he sees Pearl along with Anaya, Blue Pearl, and Violet Pearl being picked up by the 2nd hand, lifting them up high like the others as Lapis and Steven watch hopelessly. "Guys!"

Pearl, Amethyst tried to get out but can only grunt in pain as the hands squeeze them tightly. "Everyone, shapeshift! Get small or...Something!" Amethyst shouts to her. "We can't! too freaked out! You do it!" Pearl tells them. "I can't concen-Aah!" She couldn't finish as the hands she and the others were trapped in began flailing them around.

"Unh!" Pearl groaned before saying. "This is all my fault! I never should have had that bubble!" Amethyst then apologized too. "It wouldn't have popped if it wasn't for me!" Steven then told them. "We should've told Garnet! We should've told her right away! I knew Secret Team was wrong! I just...I wanted to see you guys acting like friends!"

Steven began to cry a bit as tears left his eyes. But in seconds Garnet appears out of the water in front of him, earning a surprised gasp. "Garnet?" It is soon revealed that the giant hands were hers after releasing Amethyst and Pearl, leaving almost everyone confused and shocked at the same time.

"So, you two can't get along unless you think I'm going to kill you." Said Garnet directly to Pearl and Amethyst before crouching down before the young Gem and Water Gem. "Steven, Lapis, I know you wanted to help them. You wanted to protect them, even from me. They made you feel like you had to take their side. But there are no sides because we're all on the same team..."

Garnet then takes out the VIP-IZZA coupon Steven gave her and rips it announcing the team they're on. "The Crystal Gems!" She then drops it with Steven, Lapis, Anaya, Blue Pearl, Violet Pearl doing the same with their coupons before dropping them on the floor too, with Pearl, Amethyst, Soren, and Pink revealing their torn coupons from earlier in their hands and drop them alongside the others. After that, Steven gave a sigh and told them.

"You know what? Between the ten of us...We could've had a free pizza."
