Luxord was sitting on his bed, as usual for when he hadn't an assignment. Demyx decided to skip the knocking and just walk in.

"Luxord," he said, plopping down on the other man's bed, "what happens when we die?"

Luxord, not looking up from his book, stated, "Nothing is easier than self-deceit. For what each man wishes, that he also believes to be true."

"Huh?"

Luxord looked up for the first time. "I meant that it changes from person to person."

Demyx shook his head. "No, I meant… well… when we die… how do we know we are dead?"

The older man closed his book and stared Demyx in the eye. "You don't."

The younger blonde frowned. "So… when I die… I won't know it? It'll just be?"

Luxord remained silent for a moment, thinking about this. "Demyx," he said, "why are you asking me this? Do you plan on dying soon?" he asked, now semi-worried.

Demyx just blew it off with a smile. "Of course not!" Deep down, he wasn't so sure. He had just gotten the assignment to have a rematch against Sora.
