Chapter 15: Dance Off Bro
When Haru got back to the Common Room, there was another party. Of course it was fun, but in the middle of it, they goaded him into opening the egg. When he did there was a horrible screeching noise.
Haru closed the eggs.
"What was that?" asked Ron.
"Welp… good luck Haru." Said Hina patting him on the back.
"Yeah, that next challenge is going to suck!" said Kaien.
"What?" asked Haru.
"You know what the screeching was?" asked Ron.
"It's Mermish." Said Maya.
"How do you know that?" asked Ron.
"We lived on the Lake for years." Said Kaien, "Of course know what Mermish sounds like."
"On a side note, the mermaids aren't like the ones from Fishman Island." Said Hina.
"Worse than Granny Kokoro?" asked Haru.
"Way worse than Granny Kokoro." Said Hinata.
Haru shuddered.
"Granny Kokoro?" asked Ron.
"An old Mermaid that helped raise Franky." Said Haru.
"Most of our parents are in denial that she's a mermaid." Explained Maya.
Everyone in the room didn't know how to respond to that.
Of course for the rest of the night they partied.
The next day, Haru put the egg underwater in the Thousand Sunny's bathtub. He put his head underwater and if he was in trouble Maya and Hermoine would pull him out.
After a minute he managed to get himself out of the water.
"What is it?" asked Hermoine.
"They're going to steal something important! And I have to get it back from them!" yelled Haru.
"Seriously?" asked Hermoine.
"That's bad…" said Maya.
"Wait! I just remember, they said for the second task I can do it non-magically." Said Haru.
"Really?" asked Hermoine.
"That's good." Said Maya.
"I just have to figure out what do use this time!" said Haru.
And so over the course of the next few weeks Haru began to plan things out with Usopp and Franky. He was denied use of the Shark Submerge III.
But they had until February to come up with a plan.
Durring the course of the next few weeks Haru while getting a snack one day found Dobby and Winky in the kitchens and getting paid for it.
He tried to use that to convince that House Elves were different than humans but it just pushed her and SHELF even more.
Not too long after that, Pro. McGonagall had announcement to make after class one day.
"A tradition for the Tri-wizard Tournament is the Yule Ball." Announced Pro. McGonagall.
The students began to talk.
"All students 4th year and above are required to attend. Younger students are able to attend if an older student will take them as a guest." Said Pro. McGonagall.
The students were even more existed for this.
"Now it might be a night where we let our hair down I expect all of you to be on your best behavior." Said Pro. McGonagall.
Everyone was just about very excited. It also turned out that she started up a dance class so that the students wouldn't make fools of themselves during the ball.
After the dance class Pro. McGonagall pulled him aside.
"Mr. Monkey I should inform you it is tradition for the Champions and their partners to open the dance." Said Pro. McGonagall.
"My partner?" asked Haru.
"You know your dancing partner." Said Pro. McGonagall.
Haru blinked then quickly realized.
"Oh… you mean a date!" said Haru.
"Yes." Pro. McGonagall slightly sighing at Haru but really wasn't surprised.
"Can you hold on a second?" asked Haru.
He sensed where Ginny was and thankfully it was in the common room, so he opened a portal to there.
"Hey Ginny!" said Haru.
"Hey Haru." Said Ginny.
"Hey I was wondering if you wanted to go with me to the Yule Ball." Said Ginny.
Ginny was so happy.
"Of course I'd love to go." Said Ginny.
"All right!" said Haru.
He left the portal and it collapsed.
When he did it, Pro. McGonagall looked at him, it was clear she was trying not to smile.
"Only you Mr. Monkey." Laughed Pro. McGonagall.
Later he was talking to Ron about it.
"You already got a date?" asked Ron.
"Oh yeah." Said Haru.
"Who?" asked Ron.
"Ginny." Said Haru, "I think we might start dating."
Ron sighed, he knew there was that whole unofficial girlfriend going on with Ginny.
And so Ron began to think who to bring to the Yule Ball.
That night during dinner Haru did reveal something.
"You know how to ball room dance." Said Hermoine shocked.
"Oh yeah." Said Haru, "Sometimes we go to balls, like in Alabasta or Dressrosa."
"Haru danced with a Princess a couple times." Said Hina.
"What seriously." Said Ginny.
"Yeah, but she's just a friend." Laughed Haru, "Don't worry…"
Of course several girls heard Haru talking about knowing how to ballroom dance.
Over the course of the next few days they did ask him but he turned them down pointing out he already had a date.
This did mange to help Ginny after hearing about the Princess thing.
However Haru wasn't the only one who had a date.
Neville took a breath when he saw Hina and Maya walking together.
"Hey Maya!" he called out somewhat nervously.
"Hi Neville!" said Maya.
"I was wondering if you would like to come to the Yule Ball with me." He said.
"Really?" asked Maya happily, "I'd love to!"
Hina sighed.
Over the course of the next few days Ron deicide to get some advice about dates, namely from Marguerite. After realizing that the dress robes were for the Yule Ball, she offered to make Ron some new ones for free after hearing about the horrible second hand ones he had.
"I don't have any advice to give you." Said Marguerite.
"What seriously!" yelled Ron.
"I never had to deal with this sort of thing. I never met a man until I met Luffy." She explained.
Ron sighed she was making the dress robes.
Later as he was walking back to the Common Room.
"Why did I think that would work." Said Ron.
Nearby Fleur was talking to Cedric trying to get her to ask him out using her Veela allure on him.
"I'm sorry , but I already have a date." Said Cedric.
However Ron got caught him the allure.
"Would you go to the Yule Ball with me!" yelled Ron.
Fleur looked at him, but then he ran away realizing what he just did.
He was I the common room wondering what he just did.
"Oh man…" said Ron.
"Hey Ron, what happened?" asked Haru who was joined by Hermoine, Ginny, Maya and Hina.
Ron told them what happened with Fleur.
"I can't believe I just did that." Said Ron.
"She is part Veela so it's not your fault." Said Haru.
"Yeah." Said Hina.
"There's no way I can get a date." Muttered Ron.
"It will be fine." Said Haru.
Ron looked at Hermoine and realized something.
"Hermoine…" said Ron.
Hermoine figured that this would happen sooner or later.
"I already have a date." Said Hermoine.
"WHAT!" yelled Haru and Ron at the same time.
"It's true." Said Hermoine.
"Why didn't you tell us!" said Ron.
"We're your friends." Said Haru.
"Girl talk." Said Hina glaring at the two, "Why should she tell boys that she already scored a date?"
"Okay makes sense." Said Haru.
"Seriously." Said Ron.
"I can't believe you assumed that I didn't have a date." said Hermoine.
"Really." Said Hina.
"IT does seem like something they would assume." Pointed out Ginny.
Hermoine rolled her eyes.
"So who is it?" asked Haru in general curiosity.
Ron gave her a loom.
"You'll just have to wait and see who it is." Said Hermoine.
"Great now I never have a date." Muttered Ron.
"I don't have a date." Said Hina.
"What?" asked Ron.
"Maya and Ginny are going and I'd rather not deal with being alone the whole night." Muttered Hina, "How about you take me."
Ron was going to say something but she started to glare at him.
"Well I am taking Ginny so you should take my little sister. "said Haru.
Ron sighed.
"Fine… I'll take her." Sighed Ron.
"All right! I should go talk to Marguerite then." Said Hina.
And indeed they all had dates… but who knew what would happen with the Yule Ball… especially with the identity of Hermione's date.
Next Time: The Yule Ball is fast approaching, and of course it's also on Christmas... so that also means gifts. Ginny is given a Devil Fruit as well! Will she eat it? And what will happen at the Ball? Find out next time!
