Kazuya Mishima glared down at the present Lee Chaolan had placed on the table in front of him. Kazuya's top lip was pursed, his brow was furrowed and his nose was wrinkled. The present was neatly contained in purple wrapping paper and there was a small note that read "To my big brother, Kazuya. X." Lee might as well have gifted him the rotting corpse of a rat or a trash bag stuffed with used cat litter. Actually, that would've been a welcome gift compared to this putrid package that made him want to puke purple bile.

And he didn't even know what was in it, yet.

"Do you like it?" Lee asked, staring expectantly at him.

As explained, Kazuya had the face of someone that was about to hurl, so what did Lee think the answer was? He also hadn't opened it, yet, so either way, he didn't have an answer. Hopefully, this ugly box was the gift. It was a terrible gift but he would gratefully accept it.

"Is this why you invited us over?" Jun Kazama asked, kneeling at the other side of the table. "To give him a gift?"

"Where's my gift?" A pouting Ling Xiaoyu piped up, her arms crossed in a huff.

"You'll understand when he opens it," Lee said.

"Just open the damn thing!" Heihachi Mishima demanded, his arm currently coiled around Kuma's thick neck.

"Can't you do that outside?" Asuka Kazama shouted, turning to face the grapplers.

Lars Alexander, Jin Kazama and, for some reason, Panda, made up the rest of the family. They also suspected the ghost of Kazuya's mother, Kazumi, was loitering around, ready to pop out in an attempt to give her ex-husband, Heihachi, a scare.

"Fine," Kazuya growled. "I'll open the damn thing."

He reached towards it with his thumb and index finger, as if he was about to pick up something disgusting—which he was. He yanked at the disturbing ribbon and it fell away. Next, he placed both his hands on either side of the lid.

This was it. What kind of abominable thing had Lee bought him? A bouquet of roses? A framed picture of the two of them having fun at the beach last year? Chocolates?

It was a human head.

Kazuya smiled as the rest of his family screamed in horror. How could he have doubted his own brother? He felt guilty—and Kazuya Mishima never felt guilty. What a beautiful gift to receive. It wasn't even his birthday.

Or was it? He couldn't even remember his birthday because he never celebrated it. He couldn't stand birthday cakes and party hats and happiness. Perhaps Lee had remembered? What a swell guy.

But about the head: it was a women's head. She had two-tone hair; one side was purple, and the other was pink. There was a flower in her hair, too. It wasn't the most pleasant of decapitated heads Kazuya had ever seen but it would do. He didn't care that Xiaoyu and Asuka were running around the room, screaming with their arms flailing in the air, or that Heihachi had fainted, or that Lars' ridiculous hair had turned white—he thought it was the best gift ever.

But then the eyes opened and the lips curled into a smile and then it spoke.

"Hello, everyone!"

Kazuya had never heard himself scream before. It was kind of weird sounding. Like a wolverine was screeching with something lodged in its throat.

Everyone else screamed louder than they already were; besides Lee, who was laughing hysterically. Who knew he was so sick?

"AHHHHHHHHHH—oh, it's Alisa," Lars said.

He reached his hands into the box and scooped the head out.

"It's alright," Lars said, shoving Alisa's face into Asuka's, "it's just Alisa."

Asuka joined the passed out Heihachi on the floor.

"She's an android," he continued, his voice calm.

"Ooo, Heihachi, my looove, where are youuu?"

Kazumi walked through the room wall, waving her arms about like a… ghost?

"Look," Lars said, showing Kazumi the head.

She was soon running back through the wall.

"Really?" Lars said, a single eyebrow raised.

"QUIET!" Xiaoyu shouted, leaping up from her knees.

Everyone paused and there was sweet silence.

"Alisa!" Xiaoyu smiled, hugging the… head. "What are you doing here? Why were you in that box?"

"Oh, it was Mr Chaolan's idea!" Alisa said. "He thought it would be a nice surprise."

Every eye landed on him—besides Heihachi's and Asuka's, who were still out cold.

Lee was biting his bottom lip, his face was scrunched up and his hands were clutching at his belly. Clearly, he was dying to burst out laughing.

And Kazuya was dying to kill him. His fist was clenched, ready to deliver an Electric Wind God Fist directly on his adopted brother's chin. But he held back. On the one hand, the prank had annoyed the crap out of him, but on the other, it was still a pretty cool present. He would let it slide… for now.

Heihachi and Asuka came around and the screaming commenced.

"Oh, shut up," Jun said.

They did but wore frowns just for her.

"So this was all just a childish prank?" Jun asked.

Lee composed himself. That bottom lip he had been biting down on a second ago spread out into a grin.

Kazuya didn't like that grin. That was a grin that told him he had trouble in store for them all. That was a grin he wanted to remove with his fist.

"She's coming with us," he said, vaguely.

Everyone exchanged glances.

"Coming with us to where?" Jun asked.

Lee's eyes and grin widened so far it looked like there was a tug of war on either side of his cheeks.

"On holiday!"

The screams returned.
