INDUSTRIALIST'S DEATH RESULTS IN INTERGALACTIC GENEROSITY

GRAVITON CITY, JAPAN - This Island Nation mourned the recent demise of Mitsuko Daitokuji, billionaire and widow of the founder of the Daitokuji Financial Group. The international conglomerate holds billions in assets, but the jewel in its crown is the ENDY - its affectionate nickname for Earth's first light-speed vehicle.

Cantankerous and increasingly isolated since the death of her husband Hikaru Ataru Daitokuji decades ago, Mrs. Daitokuji died of a heart attack at age eighty on October 9. Reportedly, she had not been on speaking terms with her son, current NDFG Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Hikaru Teru Daitokuji because of his marriage to former Alpha Cygnan spaceship captain Aysheia Lisia Napolipolita. The alien's earlier days on this planet had been marred by alcoholism, homelessness, and multiple arrests for various offenses.

Since her marriage, she and her seven daughters have lived with Daitokuji and his daughter Biko in his Graviton City mansion and she has worked as the holding company's Director of Strategic Development. She, in fact, was responsible for the creation of the ENDY and is working on its upgrade, which is possible through the generosity of the late Mrs. Daitokuji.

In an exclusive Enquirer interview, the billionaire and his alien wife told this reporter that they had reconciled with Mitsuko Daitokuji shortly before her death.

Mr. Daitokuji stated that "At the time of her death, my mother had forgiven me and had accepted my adopted daughters as her own. Our daughter Alana (one of the alien girls adopted by Hikaru Daitokuji) enjoyed being with her a great deal."

"She came to our little one's Bikreet- that's a Cygnan ceremony - and gave gifts not only to Mitsuko (the couple's youngest daughter) but also to all the other girls," said the former Miss Napolipolita. " We were so honored to have her here with us, and we all were looking forward to more happy years with her. Unfortunately, that wasn't to be."

The couple was later shocked and delighted to learn that their daughters had created the Mitsuko Daitokuji Help-Your-Neighbor Foundation, to be administered by a stunned but grateful Father Shin Nakumi, a local Catholic priest.

"We wanted to make sure everyone remembered our grandmother in a positive way," said Alana Napolipolita-Daitokuji,the Captain's second-oldest daughter. "This Foundation will fund charity work of all kinds here in Graviton City, her home."

Contributors to the Foundation also include her half- sisters Arisa, Atina, and Akana Napolipolita-Daitokuji as well as her stepsister Biko Daitokuji.

"The money will support an alcoholism treatment center and halfway house to be located on the grounds of the Junko Daitokuji Memorial Hospital; a battered women's shelter to be run by the Alpha Cygnan Consulate; a free day-care center for needy working parents; and a job retraining center for displaced aliens," said Biko Daitokuji. "Tlte Daitokuji family has always been renowned for its philanthropy. We're happy to help."

The Mitsuko Daitokuji Help-Your-Neighbor Foundation will initially be funded by a cash infusion of five million dollars. Its source was not disclosed.
