One Piece – Zoro Takes Luffy's Pain
"The what's the bloody point of showing us if nothing happened?" Watts asked with a raised eyebrow.
"You should know better by now than to take everything at face value." Dan replied as he floated to the back.
"Then what actually happens?" Yang asked.
"Cosmo has shown you a dimension where Ruby is a rubbery pirate right?" Dan asked.
"Yup!" Ruby exclaimed with a grin "I kicked butt."
"Yes." Adam said with a low growl.
"Well this is the same dimension but a little later on." Dan replied.
"So we saved Blake?" Ruby asked.
"Yes, you and your crew saved Blake and brought her back to the crew." Dan replied.
"Awesome!" Ruby exclaimed as Blake smiled.
"Thanks again." Blake said as Ruby nodded with a grin.
"Alright let's begin." Dan stated, floating to the front and starting the dimension.
The dimension began by showing Yatsuhashi as he sighed.
"If I harm Red Hood now, I will only bring shame upon myself." Yatsuhashi stated.
A bleeding and battered Ren stared at him "I am in your debt."
"Ren!? What happened to you!?" Nora exclaimed worriedly.
Ren narrowed his eyes at the screen "Some kind of battle."
"Red Hood? Does he mean Ruby?" Taiyang asked.
"Why would Yatsu want to harm Ruby?" Coco asked.
Yatsuhashi was wondering the same thing as Ruby guessed "Maybe he's a bad guy in this one."
Yatsuhashi turned to an unconscious Ruby and as he was about to touch her, he spoke "Trust me not to bring her harm. I am a man of my word."
"Well that's good at least." Summer said in relief.
"This is the same girl that beat me?" Adam asked as he looked at her unconscious body.
"She looks roughed up as well, was there a fight beforehand?" Raven asked.
"In exchange, I will…" Yatsuhashi said as he picked Ruby up and looked at Ren with a menacing look "…Show you hell."
Jaune gulped "What does he mean by that?"
Nora held onto Ren's arm in worry as she stared ahead "I hope you'll be okay."
"Me too…" Ren muttered.
"Yatsu…you can be one scary guy." Coco said with wide eyes.
Yatsuhashi nodded "I'm even intimidating myself."
Yatsuhashi thrust his palm onto Ruby's stomach and a transparent red ball of immense size was repelled out of her and floated in place as Yatsuhashi put Ruby down.
"What the hell is that?" Qrow asked.
"What kind of weird powers do you have?" Cardin asked.
"What I just repelled from her body was pain…and fatigue." Yatsuhashi stated as he looked back at Ren "This is all of the damage that she accumulated in her battle with Watts. If you want to take her place, take all of her pain and suffering yourself."
Ren stared at the ball unwavering as Yatsuhashi continued "It will be impossible for you to survive when you are already on the brink of death. You will die."
"What!?" Most of the crowd exclaimed in shock.
"All the pain and fatigue that she accumulated was at that size!?" Yang exclaimed.
"Was my battle with her really that devastating?" Watts asked in shock.
"Ren can't take all of that! He looks like he can barely stand as is!" Nora exclaimed.
"I'm gonna do it." Ren said.
"What!?" Everyone shouted as they looked at him.
Ren smiled "If it's for a friend and especially my captain then I think I'd do it no matter what I was told."
Everyone stared at him in shock as Nora tearfully hugged him and Ren looked over to Ruby with a nod as Ruby frowned and regretfully nodded.
"You've got some balls kid," Roman said as he lit a cigar "Let's just see if you can follow through."
"Have a small taste." Yatsuhashi said as he pushed a small piece of the ball towards Ren and it floated into his chest.
Once it entered Ren's body, he widened his eyes and started screaming as his body convulsed and the pain hit every part of his body which caused Ren's eyes to become fully blanked out as Yatsuhashi watched.
"Sweet Oum…" Qrow muttered as he dropped his beer in shock.
Roman jaw dropped and the cigar fell to the ground as he watched on in shock with everyone else.
"REN!!!" Nora shouted as she cried and hugged him tighter.
"That was only a small taste?" Hazel asked.
"He can't survive…no, he won't survive." Salem muttered with wide eyes.
"I'm so sorry Ren…" Ruby muttered as she clenched her fists, angry at herself for letting her friend experience this kind of pain.
"Ren should just run! At least then he'd have a chance!" Jaune exclaimed.
"At the risk of his captain? No, he wouldn't do that…" Pyrrha said.
"This is totally unfair! How does he expect anyone to survive that!?" Yang exclaimed.
"By Oum's grace apparently." Raven muttered.
Ren stared at the screen and himself with only one thought in his mind 'You will not die.'
Ren fell to the ground with a thud as he huffed and heaved in pain then flipped over to lie on his back with his chest going up and down.
"Well?" Yatsuhashi asked.
Ren clenched his fists as he spoke "Let me…do this somewhere else!"
"Wow…" Summer muttered.
"He doesn't want anyone to see what he is about to go through." Ozpin muttered.
"I am so sorry." Yatsuhashi apologized.
Ren nodded to him "It's alright."
Ren stood in front of the ball and Yatsuhashi was gone, he kept breathing heavily as he grits his teeth and dived right into the ball as the screen turned white.
Ruby gulped "What happened to him?"
"Please tell me he's alive! Please!?" Nora exclaimed tearfully.
"Just keep watching." Dan stated.
Later on, Jaune was shown with his own injuries and in a very damaged suit as he looked around and ran towards Ren's direction while Oobleck, who was a skeleton that still had his hair, watched him leave.
"What happened to Professor Oobleck!?" Ruby shouted in shock.
"Doctor!" Oobleck corrected.
"He's dead!?" Jaune exclaimed.
"Skeletons don't just stand upright by themselves!" Weiss exclaimed.
"He's undead!" Jaune shouted.
"This dimension is so strange." Glynda said.
"That's cool and all but what happened to Ren!?" Nora exclaimed.
Jaune slid down some broken concrete then continued to run while looking for Ren "There is no way everyone pulled through okay! Where is that jerk?!"
"Jerk huh?" Ren asked.
"I guess we're not at the friendliest of terms in this dimension." Jaune said.
Jaune stopped as he spotted Ren "There he is."
"Oh thank Oum he's still standing!" Nora exclaimed.
"But how?" Cinder asked in surprise.
"Phew, you scared me! Hey, where did that Warlord go?" Jaune asked as he made his way over to Ren but then he stopped as he widened his eyes in shock.
Everyone in their theater widened their eyes with jaws dropped as they were truly in shock at the spectacle they were seeing, something so unbelievable that it can even be described as impossible.
"No way…" Ruby muttered.
"Oh my god…" Yang muttered.
"This must be a dream…" Blake said.
"Damn…" Qrow muttered.
"Impossible…" Salem said in shock.
There stood Ren with his eyes shadowed and arms folded, a bloody mess with his shirt ripped apart as blood poured from all over his body and the ground around him was just covered in a massive quantity of blood.
"He's not human…" Watts muttered.
"Ren you bloody mad lad!" Sun exclaimed.
"He's so cool!" Oscar and Whitley shouted in awe.
"Now that's a true man!" Taiyang stated.
Nora hugged Ren "Idiot."
"Sorry." Ren apologized.
"You scared me…idiot." Nora said.
"Sorry." Ren apologized once more as Nora hugged him tighter.
"Where did all of this blood come from?!" Jaune shouted "Hey, are you still alive?! Where is he?! What happened here?!"
"No…" Ren mustered as Jaune widened his eyes at Ren's face which was just plain intense with all the blood and the protruding veins on the sides "Nothing happened…!"
Once again everyone jaw dropped in shock and disbelief as they slowly turned their head towards Ren who just smiled at them and waved and some even shifted slightly away from him.
"Ren isn't human…" Yang said.
"He's some kind of demon, I swear!" Cinder shouted.
"Kid you better be glad to have a friend like that." Qrow advised.
Ruby nodded with a smile "I am."
Dan floated to the front "Told you nothing happened."
Some rolled their eyes at that as Dan laughed "Alright since I got you a heavy one, let me show you something funny this time."
"Alright now we're talking." Neptune said with a smirk.
"So what is it?" Weiss asked.
"A dimension you're familiar with, one with stones that builders refused." Dan stated with a smirk
