Step Up 3 – Water Dance
"I honestly doubt I'd want to watch people dance." Hazel said with narrowed eyes.
"You must be a riot at parties." Roman said with an eye roll.
"Don't listen to the big guy, I wanna see what kind of moves I can pick up." Yang said.
"Yeah, maybe we can see Ren's sick moves." Jaune said.
Ren chuckled "I wouldn't call them sick."
"But you're so amazing when you dance, I'm sure you're in this." Nora said with a grin.
"I think a lot of us want to see what this dimension entails." Pyrrha said.
"I don't, can we skip this?" Neptune asked.
"Nope!" Como exclaimed, poofing to his seat and starting the dimension.
"Time. You may begin." Oobleck said as the dimension started and it showed Oscar taking the test with a lot of other random students but he seemed to be distracted until suddenly his phone buzzed.
He took it out and looked to see a text from Ren, telling him to go somewhere.
"Well that's offensive." Oobleck said "At least don't show up to my class if you plan on not paying attention."
"I'm sure he didn't mean to be disrespectful." Amber said as Oobleck sipped on his coffee with an annoyed frown.
"When did you start going to Beacon?" Ruby asked.
"I guess other me goes there." Oscar said with a shrug.
"What does Ren need him for to interrupt his test?" Pyrrha asked.
"It must be something important." Yang said.
"What could be more important than his education?" Weiss asked.
"Everything." Ruby said.
The scene changed to show a team of dancers that were all dressed in white jumpsuits, running onto a red stage as a title card was shown.
WORLD JAM ROUND 2: BATTLE OF GWAI
"What's going on?" Jaune asked.
"Some kind of fight?" Cardin asked.
Ren's team stood at the center of the stage as the enemy team circled them while the crowd cheered and bet money with each other.
Roman smirked "My kind of place."
"Seems like some underground type of shit." Mercury said with a smirk.
"What are they doing there then!?" Weiss shouted in shock.
"Guess we'll see." Blake said.
"Yo, where Pines at?" Scarlet asked Ren.
"I don't know man." Ren said.
"Is this what they needed me for? A fight?" Oscar asked nervously.
"Calm down, I doubt it's that serious." Whitely said.
The enemy team started by two people doing back flips and sliding forward on stage as two more joined and danced in sync then they backed away as one moved forward and showcased his slick moves. Another moved and showcased similar moves on top of the first and they moved to the side as another shorter one moved forward and continued with fast paced flips and poses.
"Oh it's a dance fight." Jaune said.
"Whew." Oscar said in relief.
"We're losing aren't we?" Blake asked.
"Sure they've got some impressive moves but our team still has to showcase their efforts." Weiss said.
"I don't know guys; they were pretty good." Taiyang said.
"Have faith dad, I've got a feeling we're gonna win this." Yang said, eyeing Oscar who didn't notice her gaze.
Cardin and Russel slid forward to showcase their tandem moves as Scarlet hopped over them and did a couple of front flips then back flipped back to the group as Miltia and Melanie moved forward and danced in unison as Junior joined them and they grabbed him and flipped him back.
"Pretty good, pretty good." Taiyang commended.
"I still gotta go with the other team on that one though, step up your game guys." Qrow said.
"I don't know how we did it." Miltia started.
"But we managed to flip you of all people." Melanie finished, pointing to Junior.
"Benefits of your alternate selves' upper body strength I guess." Junior joked with a laugh but they both looked unamused and he coughed awkwardly "Uh…thanks for not dropping me."
The enemy team retaliated by three of their members spinning in tandem but then Shade jumped into the fray with a move akin to a spinning kick and he back flipped as the whole team jumped in unison and finished with poses.
"Now that was good." Cinder said.
"Nice one Shade." Sun said.
Shade smirked "It benefited the team, no worries."
"But I doubt that would be enough to finish this." Blake said with a frown, seeing the other team start to retaliate.
One of the enemy team members circled the stage as he went back to his team and they all pushed forward as one stayed and showcased different moves in a handstand and two more joined him in a synchronized routine as they posed and two back off while one back flipped across the stage and landed with a pose along with his team.
"You guys are getting smoked." Emerald said with a smirk.
"It's almost embarrassing how bad you are against them." Mercury said.
"Shut it!" Yang shouted.
"Yeah, they're trying their best!" Ruby exclaimed.
"You can do this guys!" Nora cheered.
Scarlet jumped forward and showcased his moves but then suddenly a bang was heard from the back and Oscar entered the area with a bike as he skidded to a stop, turning on a water pipe and filling the stage with water.
"He made it!" Ruby exclaimed with a grin.
"But what's he gonna do?" Mercury asked.
"Yeah, all he did was ruin the stage." Neptune said.
"Did he?" Sun asked with a smirk.
"What do you mean?" Neptune asked.
"A true dancer knows how to improvise." Sun replied "Just watch."
Another dancer from the enemy team showcased his moves but the water was interrupting him to which he complained about as Oscar told one of the people in the crowd to look after his bike. He ran over to his team as the music picked up.
"The music for all of this is so fitting for some reason." Summer said.
"A good selection." Glynda said with a small smile.
Oscar got his hair wet and stomped on the ground, literally testing the waters with his own moves.
"Oh damn!" Emerald let out.
"Hey, he's pretty good." Jaune said in surprise.
"Wow." Whitely said as he looked to see Oscar with his jaw dropped.
Oscar and some of the team danced in unison, using the water to their advantage as a spectacle, finishing off with their own individual finishers.
"Now that's dancing!" Nora exclaimed.
"Let's not count the other team out just yet." Scarlet said.
The enemy team started off their own moves and moved to form a human pyramid but they slipped and fell which caused the crowd to laugh and boo.
"Yeah, you can count them out now." Scarlet said.
"The change in terrain ruined their whole routine." Weiss said with a smirk.
"We win these!" Raven stated, now excited to see what Oscar's team would finish them off with.
Ren, now shirtless, jumped forward with Scarlet and Cardin, they all got into position and spun in place like human sprinklers as the water flew everywhere. They a formed a line and moved to the side, bending down as Oscar ran over all their backs and landing with a flip as they posed.
"Now that was hot." Yang said, referring to the dancing.
"That wasn't the only thing~" Nora said, she really enjoyed that view of Ren.
One of the members of the enemy team tried their own move as Oscar's team kicked water at them, interrupting him and making him stop.
"That was a little mean." Pyrrha said with a frown.
"Not really, you gotta have attitude with these kind of things." Roman said.
"Yeah, no time for being nice." Emerald agreed.
Oscar's team danced in unison within a routine as they separated and Oscar backed up, falling to the ground and hitting the water up with the rest of the team. They each moved in tandem as Oscar spun and stood up, spinning to a halt and spitting out a geyser of water while the other members were on the ground.
"You came in late and almost cost the match with your little stunt but damn did you make up for it." Ren said as he rubbed Oscar's hair "Proud of you kid."
"I didn't do anything special." Oscar said with a sheepish smile.
"He's so cool! I didn't think anyone could move like that." Ruby said in awe.
"Many dancers have different styles, this kid's got a unique yet smooth one." Roman said.
Cosmo poofed to the front "I told you it would be fun!"
"Indeed it was." Ozpin said with a nod.
"I just realized something." Blake said.
"What?" Weiss asked.
"Two dimensions so far we've seen Oscar dance." Blake said.
"Oh yeah, you're right." Sun said.
"You better start learning how to dance man, the dimensions are giving you a sign." Nora said.
Oscar blushed nervously "I-I'll try."
"Don't worry," Ren said to him with a smile "I'll help you out."
Oscar smiled as Hazel rolled his eyes "What's next fairy?"
"Jerk." Yang muttered.
"Well, the next one is gonna be one we've seen before." Cosmo said.
"Oh really?" Glynda asked.
"Yup! We know Ruby is the shield, time to see the sword." Cosmo said.
