Just in case you're confused I realized yesterday I hadn't put Lily in the Defence Against the Dark Arts class, which I think she would have taken because she'd already decided to fight in the war, so that's why she may have just magically appeared, I've changed it in the chapter too.

Sitting behind a makeshift desk in a creaking, run down house he was waiting. The monotonous drip of water leaking through the ceiling was now familiar to him as the hours ticked by, he was getting impatient. A sudden gust of wind slammed a door open and made the entire room start shuddering before it shut again with a mighty slam, now fed up he tapped his claw like nails on the rotten wood, an evil smile danced on his lips as he thought of what was to come. Finally footsteps could be heard from outside, not just footsteps, dragging. Preparing himself he stood up and pulled the dusty hood over his face, pulled his wand out and stood glaring at the door waiting for it to open.

"My lord!" Dolohov called before flinging open the door and kneeling down in front of him "I have found her" he yanked a mangled rope and a woman covered in mud stumbled into the room, tears streaming down her face.

"I promise I know nothing" Perfamice Letum whimpered, falling to the floor.

"Don't try lying to me" Voldemort hissed, circling her whilst pointing his wand "They're trying to escape, aren't they?"

"I don't talk to the Shaws, I wouldn't know!" she insisted, lifting her head only to have it forced back down again by Dolohov.

"I'm not a fool; I've had people watching you. Do you really want to risk your own life just to protect the lives of a family of traitors?"

"T-they must h-have been mistaken?" Perfamice realized she was cornered and waited for a response, but no response came. Fed up of being lied to Voldemort jabbed his wand into the back of her neck.

"Crucio" He whispered menacingly. It was as if fire had come out of the end of his wand, it flowed live rivers through her body, setting every part of her alight. He continued pressing his wand into her and the pain worsened, blades rammed into her brain and limbs, ice took over her heart, and ropes tied around her organs. At least that's what it felt like. At last the pain ended and she lay panting on the floor.

"Now then, would you like to tell me what the Shaws are planning on doing?" Voldemort snarled, kicking her in the stomach before returning to the chair behind his desk.

"They're leaving to go to Australia" she gasped, hot tears flowing down her face as she betrayed her friends "They go on the last day of the school term and meet at the Hogsmeade station to pick up their daughter Kara"

He grinned, finally he had finally caught the biggest blood traitors in the wizard world "Was being honest really that difficult?" he laughed, throwing a rock at her, "well I suppose we should let you go now" Perfamice let out a sigh of relief. "Avada Kedavra!" Voldemort quickly flicked his wand at her and she collapsed back down to the floor.

"But, sir…" Dolohov stared down at her lifeless body "She told us where they were going to be"

"Exactly, now she's useless to us" Voldemort smirked before apparating out of the room

Lily was staring glassy eyed over at the Slytherin table not listening to anything being said. Severus was sat laughing in a large group with Avery, Evan Rosier, Mulciber, Rodolphus, Regulus, and Bellatrix.

"Now she's dead" Bellatrix cackled, her eyes flickering towards Kara for a split second.

"Lily? Are you alright?" James put his hand on her shoulder and followed her gaze to the group of Slytherins.

"I don't know" She muttered, watching Severus laugh along with their jokes "He's changed James, he would never have chosen to sit with them before"

James sighed at her naivety "Lils, he's with them now"

"I know!" She snapped "That's the issue; he's not with me so he's with them. It's my fault. I got up and left as soon as I thought he'd go with them and now he's actually done it"

"Severus could have easily walked away from them, that's his problem, he's a wimp. Think about it, why would he have to go off with the people who can offer him most? As soon as Voldemort's gone he'll be sucking up to someone else. Or dead"

"James!" Lily knew he was right, Severus could be going anywhere after Hogwarts and she wouldn't know what was happening to him, it was a horrific thought.

"Listen, Lilypop" Sirius butted in after hearing James' 'Severus is a wimp' rant "Everyone has the opportunity to listen to the dark part in them, I know that more than anyone, what makes us good is the ability to ignore that. Yes Severus used to be a good person, but the chance to be evil came and he took it. He doesn't deserve our sympathy"

Peter started to wring his hands and was staring down at the table.

"Something wrong Wormtail?" Sirius nudged him after he noticed him getting nervous. Peter jumped in shock, the arm of his robe slipping slightly. Getting suspicious Sirius peered at his arm, catching a flicker of black before Peter yanked the sleeve back down. Shaking his head Sirius tried to forget it; a friend would never do that.

"Just hungry" Peter tried to joke but everyone just stared at the full plate of bacon in front of him.

"Anyway" James didn't want Peter getting embarrassed, his business was his business "I've been talking to Dumbledore about the order, he said that they will be recruiting when we leave school, I was thinking of going around everyone, seeing if they want do it with us"

"Who's in it already?" Sasha wasn't sure about joining it at all.

"Alice and Frank joined after they left in July" James started.

"Oohhh, they're getting married next month" Lily squealed, remembering her news "Whoops sorry, interrupting"

"Plus Fabian Prewett, so we can count on Gideon to join too; Hagrid; McGonagall; that awesome auror that's always swearing in the daily Prophet, Alastor Moody; and a load of other people I haven't heard of"

Peter was mentally memorizing all of the names, remembering what Rodolphus said about loyalty.

"Well I'm definitely in" Sirius announced.

"Me too" Remus added "I'm not letting Padfoot get all the glory"

"Obviously I'm in" James beamed "So what do you say, Wormtail, all Marauders together?"

Hesitating slightly, Peter gave a nod of agreement and did the Marauder handshake whilst wondering how he was going to do it. "I'm only going to be a spy" He thought to himself "That's what I'll tell the Slytherins, then I can be on the winning side whatever it is"

"And let the evil, traitorous, disgusting, fiends rot in hell" Sirius shouted in triumph.

"Time for your first team challenge" Gargorus yelled from the front of the classroom "Get into the set teams now so we can start" They had all learnt what happened when you disobeyed Gargorus, you only had to look at Sirius to see that, so there was a mad scramble to get into their groups.

"Banshees" He started, taking a second to look at the scared faces that appeared as soon as he mentioned them "With voices so high pitched and loud they can kill a person. If you come face to face with a banshee you've got to be quick enough to kill it before it opens its mouth"

"Uhh, sir?" Sirius piped up, the only person who had the guts to talk when Gargorus was talking.

"WHAT?" Gargorus glared at him.

"Why would we need to know how to deal with banshees? Surely we should be doing spells to ward off, I don't know, death eaters?"

"I'm glad you said that actually, Black, it's a good demonstration of naïve stupidity. Lord Voldemort will get whatever dark beasts he can on his side, we already know he's got the giants on his side and the ministry are suspicious about the dementors, do you really want to risk banshees?"

"No" Sirius muttered.

"Ok then, here's what's going to happen. Obviously I haven't got a real banshee, but I have got a mock banshee" Gargorus pulled out a model of a woman with floor length black hair, a skeletal face, and green skin. "This banshee will not kill you with her scream, but leave it long enough and you may be deafened. Each team will go into the trial room to my right, you must come up with a good strategy to spread out and kill the banshee before the lights go red to signify your death. The model will be hidden and will start screaming as soon as she sees you and reacts the same way a banshee would to your spells. Whoever defeats her the fastest gets ten points to their team, second 5, third 2, fourth none" there were worried mutters from around the class.

"Group 1, you're up!" James, Remus, Benjy, and Dedalus gathered around in a circle.

"Right guys" James decided to take charge "The key part here is that she's hidden, that means splitting up. Remus take the left side, I'll take the right, Benjy go down the middle, Dedalus you stay at the back and watch our backs in case she jumps out" Dedalus was silently in awe of James' initiative "I think the best spell you use is confringo, I don't care if the stupid model blows up I'm not taking any risks, he has more"

"Got it" Remus was smiling in anticipation "Let's do this"

The four of them walked through the door into a massive room filled with bookcases marking a maze.

"Shit" James said out loud, looking around for inspiration "Right, Dedalus, same thing, pull yourself up onto the door and look down on the maze for us, Remus you go through the entrance on the left, me and Benjy will take the right and split up when we can" After they all nodded they were off, wands out in front of them.

Dedalus was scrutinizing every turn of the maze, finally noticing all pathways led to one point in the middle.

"You're all making your way to the middle, it's probably there" He shouted.

"Unless it's a trick" James shouted back. After five minutes of searching Remus peered around the corner of the bookcase he was next to and saw the opening which was at the center of the maze.

"I'm at the middle" Remus attempted to whisper loudly. Soon after James appeared at the opening on the opposite side and Benjy was waiting to his right. They all peered into the open space trying to see the banshee, but it appeared empty.

"I don't understand, there's no other place it could be" James started to walk into the opening when from around the bookcase of the final opening the banshee swung round, its eyes two black holes staring into nothing, its mouth hung open and the deafening screech began. "GO!" James shouted as loud as he could, simultaneously James, Benjy, and Remus jumped out and yelled "Confringo!"

The model burst into flames and stopped shouting, the lights went green and the bookcases opened up to reveal a path back to the door.

"You did alright boys" Gargorus admitted "six minutes thirty one. Obviously you're at the top so far, group 2, go"

Gargorus was the only person who'd seen what had happened through a window, everyone else had just heard the terrifying scream so Timothy, Caradoc, Gideon, and Reginald were hesitant to step forwards and gather in a circle.

"Ok then" Gideon started to say.

"We don't know what's in there, so what's the point in planning?" Timothy butted in.

"At least give us something" Reginald said desperately.

"I'm trying to" Gideon continued, flashing a look at Timothy "What I was trying to say is that we need to be prepared for anything, and for that we need strong groups, I suggest splitting into pairs. Me and Reginald will go to one side of the room and Timothy and Caradoc go the other way. Now let's do this!"

After entering the room they already knew to split up and go different ways so the maze didn't faze them, after wondering around for four minutes Timothy was fed up.

"Guys we can't just walk around, this is useless" he moaned, sick of Caradoc's cautious way of going around the maze.

"Hang on, there's an opening here" Gideon cheered and him and Reginald walked into the center of the maze "What do you think this…" Before he could finish the banshee had swung round and started screaming. "SHIT! GUYS, WHAT DO WE DO?" but the others couldn't hear him over the noise. Desperate, Gideon threw the stunning spell at the banshee, making it shuffle back a couple of times but doing nothing else. Reginald collapsed to the floor because of the noise and finally the lights went red and the bookcases moved.

"Ah crap" Timothy muttered as he sulked back to the classroom. When they got back Reginald was rushed to the hospital wing.

"Terrible" Gargorus told the remaining three "You had no plan of what to do for when you actually met the banshee which was key and barely splitting up meant no-one could look out or give advice. You're obviously last with dying and finding the banshee after four minutes fifty six. Group three you're up"

Lily, Marlene, Emmeline, and Dorcas were determined to beat the guys so bravely stepped forwards and formed a circle.

"This has got to be brilliant" Lily persisted "Gargorus said something about splitting up, so when we get in there all of us take different routes around the room, any ideas on how to destroy it?"

"I think we should go with the reductor curse, blow that bitch to pieces" Marlene laughed "But seriously it's a brilliant curse" After agreeing on the curse the girls walked into the room and split into two to go through the openings, then split up again once in the maze.

"Can you see anything guys?" Lily called out.

"Nothing, I just keep being brought to the right" Emmeline replied.

"Same" Marlene added.

"I'm being taken to the left" Dorcas announced.

"Yeah me too, I think we're being taken to the center" Lily suggested "Be prepared to meet the banshee will be there"

After two more minutes of walking Lily got to the center and Dorcas turned up behind her.

"We're at the center, do you want us to wait for you?" Dorcas asked a bit too loudly, suddenly the banshee swung round and started screaming "DOESN'T MATTER"

Lily quickly whipped out her wand and pointed it at the banshee model "REDUCTO!" She yelled and the model shattered into millions of pieces which landed in a pile ad her feet. The bookcases parted and they walked proudly back into the classroom.

"Seven minutes twenty" Gargorus told them when they got back.

"DAMMIT" Lily yelled, clapping her hands together "We didn't beat them" James winked at her from the desk he was sat at.

"Finally, group four, otherwise known as Sirius Black" Sirius sauntered up to the front of the classroom, wand in hand.

"What you fail to realize, professor, is that Sirius Black is worth ten James Potters" He grinned at James before strutting into the room.

"Wow a maze" He sighed when he saw it "Shame I was never told any rules" he grinned to himself before climbing up the bookcase and strolling along the top of them. He quickly saw that every route led to the center of the maze, but none went to the far entrance so he figured that was where the banshee would pop out from. He quickly ran to the opposite side of the room along the right side of bookcases and approached the model from behind. Looking down on the entrance he saw the banshee ready to swing round and quickly acted.

"Incendio" he said quietly so no-one would know he beat it. The model burst into flames and Sirius stood there proudly as it was reduced to a pile of ashes. He danced back into the classroom which was full of people staring open mouthed at him.

"Two minutes dead" Gargorus said reluctantly. Sirius whooped and did cartwheels around the classroom. "That gives us our end result" Gargorus wrote down the points on the blackboard.
