The Alien Hero

Chapter Three

Undertown

xXx

One month until the entrance exam…

"Rosemary…rosemary…gotcha! Ok, red peppers? No, green! Red is toxic…found it!"

A small blue blur shot across town, picking small plants wherever it could find them. Whenever it sped out of a shop, a couple strange gems spun in their place as payment. Zipping and zooming through the alleyways of Japan, no one could possibly have seen or noticed the alien as it went on it's shopping spree. While you could find most things locally, like decapus suckers and fimanian joogies, the occasional trip to the surface can yield some exotic tastes.

Even if Mama forbade her from leaving Undertown in the first place.

'But you know,' the young Kineceleran rationalized, 'life is about risk! That's what Anka's always telling me anyway.' Time seemed to slow to a snail's pace as she picked some bay leaves from an apartment floor. A green haired woman was watering some flowers on her balcony as the alien picked from the lady's plants in the blink of an eye. Leaving a tataent behind, she sped back down the building as time resumed to normal speed.

Inko jerked her head up, catching a blue blur in the corner of her eye. Her eye twitched as she put the watering can down, dialing a certain multipowered boy.

"…Hello?"

"Izuku, sweetie," Inko said crossly. "Can you tell me where you are right now?"

"Uh…on the train? To that pawn shop, why?"

"Could you send me a picture of your watch?"

"Uhh, I guess…give me one second…" Within a couple second, a picture popped into her texts, showing Midoriya, on the tube, with a bright green Omnitrix. Had he just turned back, it would've been red. "Is everything alright?" her son asked.

"I suppose so," she sighed, a little embarrassed. "I could've sworn I saw XLR8 speeding about, that's all." As she spoke, a glittering coin caught her eye on the ledge of the balcony. It was teal, like Diamondhead's crystals, but square with weird writing on it.

"Alright, well we're just about here!" her son continued. "I gotta go!"

"Ok, sweetie! Have fun!" Inko cheered him on from home. She pocketed the strange coin for later as she hung up. Little did she know that picture hit a certain someone's search perimeters.

Someone who was looking for something.

xXx

Later…at Xyinn's Pawn Shop…

"Connect there, solder there…ok, hit it!" a small voice called from inside a tv. A man in overalls clicked a remote, turning the old tv on.

"Ha! Just like new!" he exclaimed. Grey Matter, a 5-inch-tall grey frog-alien, clambered out of the opening in the television's back. Now that the beach was completely clean, Midoriya had found more unconventional ways to train his transformations. Particularly for non-combat purposes, which Grey Matter excelled at. He gave a toothy grin as he hopped to an X-Box. "You said this one was fried or something, Mr. Xyinn?"

"Yeah, some idiot kid plugged it in with five different converters and an extension cord" the elderly man explained as he wiped the grime off his hands. "…didn't stand a chance. Tell you what kid, just today you've managed to repair nearly twenty different antique tvs and consoles almost good as new! When you fix that thing, keep it!"

Grey Matter's bulbous eyes widened with glee at the console. This was the X-Box 36,000, made in 2085! "You mean it?"

"Haha! Yeah, I mean it! You've saved me about a month of work in the last hour with that weird quirk of yours! It's the least I can do."

As the duo kept working on the last piece of equipment, a security camera watched the pawn shop closely from down the alleyway. Over the past hour, it had been catching the intermittent flashes of green and red light from the shop. And unbeknownst to the boy, someone had been paying attention to that feed remotely. Far above the clouds, a figure stood silently on his hoverboard watching the video feed. The entity wore black armor with a featureless mask with a yellow triangle on the front as he hovered over Japan. For nearly six earth months, he had been tracking the energy signatures across the country, triangulating the devices location. And he was seconds away from confirming its exact location.

Another red flash. The shop's door opened, revealing a child with green hair. He was carrying something…there! On his left appendage!

"The Omnitrix…finally." The figure spoke, calculating his next move. There were other bounty hunters tracking it of course, so time was of the essence. "Disguising himself as human? No, the device is in default mode. A human boy playing with level 20 tech? Ridiculous." He tapped his display a few times, placing a tracker on the watch's energy signature. "This should be quick and painless."

xXx

On the surface…

"I still can't believe it!" Midoriya celebrated as he left the pawn shop. Using transformations like Grey Matter and Upgrade could make this thing even better too! It was quite the find.

"An actual X-Box 36,000! Just wait till Mom hears…I'll call her right now!" He pulled out his phone…

PEEEWWWW! BOOOOOM!

A car exploded right in front of him! Midoriya dropped his phone (and the X-Box) as something flew in from above. An armored figure on a…hoverboard? Everyone else scattered, running away screaming from the apparent villain.

"You." The bounty hunter pointed right at Midoriya. "Are you intelligent?"

Midoriya inched away, subtlety touching the watch from behind his back. "I…uh…" The bounty hunter sighed, pulling out a small weapon. "That's a no, then."

PEEEEWWW!

FLASH!

BOOOOOOOM!

The figure hovered over to the smoking crater in the street. His plasma shot was enough to destroy a lot of things, but not Galvan tech. And it wasn't there.

"Hmm…maybe a little intelligent then." He pulled up his display. The energy was far off, traveling at about 300 mph. "Smart enough to run, I guess."

xXx

"Who the heck was that?" XLR8 shouted as he sped through the city. Lights and cars flashed by as he reached 400 mph, heading northwest. Anywhere that guy wasn't. He eventually stopped in Iwate, dashing into an abandoned warehouse. His heart was beating faster than ever, even as XLR8.

"Did I lose him?" He dashed to a window, looking back the way he came. Nothing yet. He took a few long (for him anyway) deep breaths. "I gotta call All Might…" Then it clicked. "My phone! It's back that way!" He took another look out, trying to get a sense of his surroundings. But before he could decide where to go…

CRASH!

The figure crashed through the warehouse roof, landing right in front of the Kineceleran! He pocketed the hoverboard before striding up to Midoriya, who hadn't moved. Yet.

"Since you seem to be somewhat intelligent, I'll give you a chance to surrender." He held out his hand. "Give me the Omnitrix."

XLR8's faceplate shifted up, revealing a cocked eyebrow. "What's…what's an Omnitrix?" he asked quickly. Using his hypercognition, he mapped out the various escape routes he could use while the villain was distracted. But if he found him all this way, he must have a way of tracking him. And clearly, he wants something.

The being pulled out his weapon again. "Don't play dumb, child. The Omnitrix. Now."

"I don't know what that is!" he yelled. "Why are you trying to kill me?" If he can track him, then it's only a matter of time. The only choice is to fight!

"Last chance, boy." The hunter leveled the weapon at him.

"Please, can't we just talk this ou-"

PEEEWWWW! BOOOOM!

He fired! But XLR8 is faster than that. He weaved round the shot of plasma as it sizzled by in slow motion and dashed forward. In the blink of an eye, he whipped around, using his long tail to knock the weapon out of the being's hand! Keeping momentum, he jumped up, kicking him in the face and chest 100 times per second! He then tried to sweep the legs with his tail, but his stance was incredibly strong! He sped behind the alien, stopping before the gun even hit the floor.

Other than being disarmed, the bounty hunter wasn't even fazed! He turned to his weapon, with was sparking from when Midoriya hit it. Though the mask revealed no emotion, the irritation was palpable.

"That," he grunted with annoyance "was expensive."

XLR8 gritted his teeth, ready to charge again. The villain had to have a weak point of some kind! Before he moved, felt something creep up his leg. Crystals! He tugged and pulled, but his left leg was encased in green diamonds! Almost like…

"Who are you?"Midoriya asked fearfully. The bounty hunter paid no attention, tapping something into his wrist display. "What do you want?"

"I told you already. The Omnitrix."

"And I told YOU I don't know what that is!" he cried.

"How do you think you turned into a Kineceleran?"

"…a Kine-what?" The figure stopped typing and moved towards him, pulling out a small probe tool.

"Relax, just sit still for a moment."

"Like HELL am I-oof!" He suddenly stopped struggling after the hunter struck him. His boney helmet was strong, but whatever this guy was made of was stronger. The bounty hunter got to work, focusing on the badge on the alien's chest. XLR8, who was not yet unconscious, was looking behind his pursuer.

He didn't recognize it at first. Something had poked its head around the door into the room. Midoriya didn't know what he was looking at, but it looked almost like…XLR8. But smaller? It definitely looked younger than him with it's rounder blue face. Not to mention the little purple scarf and hoodie it was wearing. 'What in…' he thought. The being held up a clawed arm and shook it rapidly, blurring with motion.

'What is it saying?' he thought desperately. The armored alien poked and prodded the Omnitrix, which produced small green sparks on contact.

"Hmm, already bonded to your DNA. This will be more complex then." The hunter decided. He stood up, turning towards to the door again. Before Midoriya could say anything, the stranger disappeared in a blur, before the villain could see it.

Only XLR8 could track to stranger's movement, so the hunter didn't notice when it dashed right past him and to Midoriya! XLR8 moved to speak, but was shushed by the Kineceleran, who pointed back at the villain. While he had his back turned, the alien pointed at XLR8's leg, then pointed at its own arm, which was vibrating again. Midoriya was more confused than ever, but he was starting to get it. 'Diamondhead's crystals are tough,' he thought 'but with the right frequency, they can shatter! Is that what it means?'

The villain was almost done, now walking towards the two with his head down, focused on his instruments. Both speedsters went into hypercognition as he approached, with the smaller of the two tapping his trapped leg earnestly. XLR8 nodded, then turning to focus. His left leg began to vibrate, more than he had ever tried. The crystals began to crack!

'C'mon, just need the right frequency!' he thought desperately. And sure enough…

CRACK-BOOOOOOM!

The bounty hunter jerked his head up in real time! His quarry was gone! All that was left were the broken teal crystals from his trap. He made to track the Omnitrix again, but his monitor was smashed! The display had a round, perfect hole where XLR8 had punched it. Not only that, but his hoverboard was swiped too, right off his belt!

"Sometimes," Tetrax said to no one. "I really hate this job."

xXx

"HEY!" Midoriya yelled over the wind. "WHO ARE YOU?" He and the smaller XLR8 had been running for a few minutes now, back to Mustafu by the looks of it. They soon stopped in a large drainage pipe, cooling off from the long run. Midoriya caught his breath first, finally getting a close look at his rescuer.

From first glance, it could've been just a quirked human. Or some kind of mutant type. But ignoring a few variations, this creature didn't just resemble XLR8, they were practically related! The creature had most of XLR8's features, such as the striped tail, the balled feet, the black helmet, etc. Though it didn't seem to have the faceplate and had white eyes instead of green. Instead of a jumpsuit, it wore a cherry red hoodie with a purple scarf, which it quickly shed and hid under a blanket. Under the hoodie was a little pink jacket with blue shorts, made out of some alien fabric. As soon as it caught its breath it began speaking at rapid fire. Only another Kineceleran had a chance of understanding.

"Who are you?" It was a girl! Whatever it was. Clearly young after all. XLR8 tried to answer but was interrupted. "Nevermind! We gotta get you away from that guy! Follow me, K?" Without another word, it sped deeper into the pipe. Midoriya followed closely, mostly to stop the whatever-it-was.

"Wait! It's probably dangerous…down…here…woah…" he lost his train of thought as they sped along. Instead of a sewer or something, the walls of the tunnel began to widen. Tracks could be seen, with the occasional cable car speeding alongside the two aliens. They banked left, turning to an even wider tunnel. Light began to filter in from the other side. When his eyes adjusted…he just couldn't believe them!

A city. A humongous, underground city! A steel exoskeleton held the roof up, protecting the town below. And the residents were of all kinds! Big, small, fat, every color, robotic, you name it! Midoriya lost track of his companion was he slowed down, taking in the enormous city. The girl sped back up to him, tugging his arm.

"Hey! Hey! What're you starin' at?" She jerked him back to reality. He still seemed dazed, like he was trying to look everywhere at once.

"I just…I…what is this place?" he numbly asked. The little girl was confused for a moment.

"You've never seen Undertown before?" she asked. He shook his head no. No, he had not seen this place before. He could barely believe it! And yet, here it was. XLR8 shook his head again, regaining focus.

"You said we were going somewhere safe?" he asked. The girl nodded excitedly.

"Yep! Safest place I know! Follow me!" The two dashed off again, making their way through the city. As they ran, Midoriya looked down at his grey badge, which sparked green like before. He had two main questions.

'What is this thing? And why haven't I changed back yet?'

xXx

"Not to say you're wrong, Mrs. Midoriya, but are you positive he was here?" All Might asked on his cell.

"I'm absolutely positive! He was going to Xyinn's Pawn Shop to practice his quirk, but I haven't heard from him since. He was supposed to be home half an hour ago, and he's not answering his phone!"

"Alright then. I'll check the shop and then around the area. I'm sure he just got distracted or something. I'll check in later." He hung up as he landed in the marketplace, out of sight to deflate. He got to the Pawn Shop, where the owner confirmed he was there.

"Gave the kid a gaming console for his efforts too! Good kid there…" the man had said. But Midoriya had left a little while ago, just before some freak villain attack. Toshinori then made his way to the crime scene, where an old friend was already on the job.

"Tsukauchi!" he greeted as he jogged up. "If I didn't know better, I'd say you work too hard!"

"Toshinori," the detective smiled. "I'd say the same to you. You shouldn't try jogging like that, you know." The blond man waved him off. "Ah, you know. Gotta keep pushing. So what do we got here?"

Tsukauchi cocked an eyebrow. "Do you wanna come back? Get ah…suited up?" he asked, looking at All Might's skinny form. Toshinori only frowned grimly.

"I'm afraid this is about a different matter. I'm hoping this is unrelated, but have you seen a green haired kid around?"

All Might was hoping for a confused look. A curious look. Anything but the grim look his old friend was giving him.

"…let's compare notes."

xXx

"Welp, this is it!" The two aliens arrived at a small "apartment" building in the middle of Undertown. "By the way, I didn't get your name!" the girl asked.

"Oh, um…" He debated it, but who was she gonna tell? "It's Midoriya. You?"

"Good to meetcha! I'm Kizi!" Kizi tapped a 16 digit code on the door, unlocking it. "C'mon, Mama's probably making Corpiloptus Soup today!"

"O-Ok…" Midoriya was practically dragged into the home, where Kizi lazily rolled in. "Mama, I'm home! And I found a friend!"

"Kizi, how many times are you gonna bring strays back here?" Another voice called. "Honestly you gonna give me a-oh!" Another XLR8 turned the corner, much taller than either Midoriya or Kizi. Kizi's mother looked the new Kineceleran over with her eyes narrowed. "That's a strange jumpsuit you're wearing there."

"Huh?" Oh yeah! Midoriya compared his clothing to the Kineceleran mother's. While he was wearing a skintight jumpsuit, she was wearing pale green clothes. He must have looked rather weird. "I-I guess" he answered.

"Kizi?" the woman asked. "Where did you find this one?" Kizi sped back, with a nervous look on her face.

The mother looked down at her child with suspicion. "Kizi? Where. Were. You."

"Uhhhhh…" The little girl pulled out a bag. "Want some spices?"

The woman took a deep breath at her daughter's antics. "How many times have I told you? 'Do not go to the surface!' Isn't that what I tell you? Every single day?"

"But…but Mama…"

"And you!" She rounded on Midoriya. "How old are you anyway?"

Midoriya started to wheel back a bit. "Uh…fourteen?"

"Fourteen what? Months?" she demanded.

"Uh…years?" he answered nervously. Needless to say, that was the wrong answer. She looked at him with disbelief.

"Really? You don't look a day over 3 years to me." She seemed to think for a moment, deciding what to do in a split second. "Well, you do look like you hit your head, why don't you stay a while? Eat something?"

"Uh…sure." He was feeling hungry. And this was obviously some kind of dream, so what's the harm? And something smelled good. Yet, he had never smelled it before! Before he knew it, he was sat down at a small dinner table, clearly only built for two. But they sat him down anyway.

Before long, the older woman introduced herself as Jazuki. She and her daughter had moved to Undertown from a place call Kinet just a couple of years ago.

"You should've seen her, she was barely hatched back then!" Jazuki reminisced. "Quite the world here, wouldn't you agree?"

"Definitely." He answered honestly. Slowly but surely, he was starting to piece things together. What this place was and who these two were. But the answer he was coming up with was so bizarre…he had to be sure.

"So, Midoriya was it?" Jazuki asked. "Rather strange name. When did you immigrate?"

"Huh?" Once more, he was thrown through a loop. "I was born here." Both Kinecelerans were shocked.

"You hatched here? On Earth?" she asked, flabbergasted. Kizi was amazed too. "I didn't realize there were live cycles here planetside. More soup?" she offered. He gratefully accepted, taking in the new info. 'Planet! Cycles? I knew it!' he thought. He had finally worked it out. Why this family looked exactly like XLR8 and what Undertown really was!

Aliens. Real, live, aliens. He looked down at the device on his chest. "Omnitrix…" he murmured.

"What was that?" Kizi asked. Midoriya quickly said it was nothing. He wasn't sure why the "Omnitrix" wasn't timing out, but it might have something to do with that hunter guy. He was messing with it earlier. But didn't that mean that his quirk, his ability to transform into heroes, was…fake? Artificial?

Was he quirkless after all?

The longer he stayed, the more he learned about XLR8. XLR8 was actually called a Kineceleran, a race of aliens from the planet Kinet. Due to their hyper nature and accelerated life, their lifespans were only about 20 years long. So, 14 years would be rather middle aged for them. Due to this, they live their lives quickly, speeding through life and living it to the fullest at all times. They only sleep for 2 hours a night but are awake for 5 hours before going back to sleep.

By this time, he was transformed for about 40 minutes. Something was wrong with the watch, and he had to figure it out. But suddenly turning human would be quite the shock for the poor family, so he had to leave before that happened. As he excused himself, Kizi and Jazuki set him off with a gift: two containers of Corptiloptus Soup. He thanked them profusely before speeding off.

"I gotta get this thing fixed…and…oh crap!" He stopped in realization. "Mom doesn't know where I am!" He sped off again, looking for anything resembling a phone down here.

"There's gotta be something down here! Maybe I can get some help!" He spun past, then backtracked to a shop in the marketplace. Engine blocks, trinkets, and gizmos littered the area, with someone standing by one such engine. Midoriya rolled over. "Excuse me, can you help me with something?"

"Eh?" The alien looked up, a devil! With a beard! "Gimme a second, speedy. Nugget! Any luck?" The devil was talking to yet another alien, who was under the engine block.

"Almost got it! Help the customer, wouldya?" the other answered, his white stubby legs hanging out from under the engine. The devil grunted and waved the Kineceleran over, whose badge finally started to blink red. The devil bent down to grab a tablet as red light blared behind him.

"Now, what seems to be the-what the hootin' heck?" The Planchakule shouted at the human, who was relieved to finally change back. "How the…what the…gimme tha'!" The mechanic jumped up on Midoriya arm and started fiddling with the watch. After some effort, red alien was getting frustrated.

"Dagnabbit, why ain't this comin' off!?"

"H-Hey!" Midoriya started to protest. "What're you…wait do you know what it is?"

"Gah! Just gimme a sec…hold on…oh shit!" the alien yelled. The red dial flashed green, firing a feedback wave to knock the alien off! Midoriya was knocked back too but hopped up.

"I'm so, so sorry! Are you ok? S-Sir?" The devil was in a heap, having landed in a pile of gadgets. He shot back up, laughing madly.

"I can't believe it! Nugget! Git over here!" he yelled.

"What, Knut!" the other yelled from under the engine block. "Did something explode again?"

"Nah, even better! We got some Galvan tech o'er here!"

"HAH?" bang "HOLD ON!" The other, plumper alien wobbled over, inspecting the now green device. The new alien was armored with thick yellow plates that covered his white body. His large face appeared to be on his chest, with no head on top. After some coaxing, they sat Midoriya down, with his wrist on a table.

"I tried takin' it apart, but it kicked my butt with some feedback!" Knut explained as he prodded it with a screwdriver. Nugget tapped the dial's surface with a black claw while Midoriya watched with interest. Sure he needed to get home, but they seemed to recognize it! After some surface-level inspection…

"Yeah, someone was fiddlin' with it about an hour ago, right?" Knut asked. Midoriya nodded, to which he grunted. "Figures. Them Galvan don't like just anybody touching their stuff. What does it do? Do you know?"

"Yeah, uh…it turns me into aliens…I think."

The two looked at each other, then back to him. "So an ID Mask?" Knut suggested.

"I-I don't think so. Wait, so this isn't my quirk?"

"Hmm? What's that?" Nugget tapped the dial again, but then it flashed yellow! "What the heck? What's it doing, kid?"

"I don't know!" Midoriya cried. The hourglass came together a bit and began to spin. Before long, it stopped, switching back to green again. "It's…never done that before."

"Weirdest thing I ever seen, Knut." Nugget scratched his chin. "You reckon it took a sample of me?"

"Maybe, but I dunno for. Try using it kid. See wha' happens!"

Midoriya nodded, activating the dial. The core popped up, displaying his playlist of aliens.

"Oooooooohhh…" the two chorused as they observed. Midoriya clicked through the different aliens, showing them each one.

"Oi, that's a Pyronite!" Nugget pointed at Heatblast's silhouette. "They're strong too, living on sun like they do."

"Heatblast lives on a sun?" Midoriya asked. Knut nodded. "They love it there; the place is half-melted from wha' I hear."

"You hear a lot of things, Knut. I dunno if-hey! That's me!" Nugget pointed at a silhouette. Midoriya looked at it closer. This was a new one! "I've never had that one before!" he cried. "I've only ever had the ten!"

"So, it did take a sample then. Welp, give it a shot, kid!" Knut yelled. "Show us wha' you can do wi' tha'!"

Midoriya grinned, slamming the dial down.

FLASH!

xXx

"We've got 200 officers on the lookout for this guy. He flies out of nowhere, shoots up the place, makes a kid disappear, and vanishes?" Tsukauchi ranted. He and Toshinori were in a patrol car, headed north to Iwate.

"We have footage of your kid headed this way after transforming then stopping in this warehouse in Iwate. Our perp crashes through the roof here, see?" Tsukauchi showed All Might on his tablet. "Then we go to this angle…there. The kid, the blue guy there, fights him but gets trapped somehow. Then seconds later, he vanishes, and the perp is disoriented. After standing there for a bit…" the footage showed Tetrax teleporting away. "…he vanishes. With the kid nowhere in sight. Thoughts?"

Toshinori considered carefully. "Knowing the kid's speed form, he can clock up to 800 mph in that form, but rarely does so as to not lose control. I'm guessing he was going about 400 or so when he escaped the first time. Am I right?"

"You're on the dot. 423 mph, headed northbound."

"So when he vanished, it might have been a last ditch effort to escape by going max speed out of there. No green light from the warehouse, so he didn't transform. Maybe he hit the guy and then ran off?"

"Could be," Tsukauchi answered. "but if that's the case, why hasn't he come back?"

"Good question." Toshinori didn't know. "Maybe he's hiding from that guy?" he ventured. Worry was written all over his face. Tsukauchi had never seen him like that. Worried? Sure, but…this was different.

"Hey," he patted his friend's shoulder. "We'll find him. Then he'll tell us all about it, ok?"

All Might smiled slightly. "…thanks, Tsukauchi."

xXx

In orbit…

"Damn, kid knows how to use that form. How well can he use that device, anyway?" Tetrax was aboard his ship, making repairs to his equipment. "It's level 20 tech, Earth is level 3! I know level 10s who couldn't even scratch the surface of the Omnitrix."

Now that he was on his ship, tracking the Omnitrix was a breeze for the Petrosapian. Now matter what Azmuth says, that device cannot fall into the wrong hands. And with more bounty hunters on the way, plus all the attention its getting from all over the galaxy, the kid won't be able to defend it alone.

"Then again," he reasoned. "the Omnitrix is rumored to be so difficult to even activate. And yet, the kid has already begun to unlock its potential." He walked out to the bridge, looking down on the surface of the Earth.

"Maybe it would be best to, as they say, watch and wait."

xXx

Meanwhile…in Undertown…

"How do ya feel?" Knut asked while Nugget watched in awe. The trio had moved inside to avoid attention after the boy's transformation. Moving the kid was a challenge in of itself, given his new awkward bulk.

"I dunno," Midoriya flexed his chubby fingers. "Heavy mostly. Like I could fall over any moment."

"That's cause you're supposed to." Nugget explained. "Watch." Midoriya and Knut watched as Nugget rolled into a compact, armored ball and started to roll about. He uncurled and turned back to Izuku. "Like that, got it?"

"Um, ok!" Midoriya took one step forward.

SLAM!

And fell face down. "Owww…"

"Well, not quite like that…" he corrected as Knut cackled with mirth. Midoriya struggled to get back up but found that his arms weren't strong enough to hold himself up like that. So instead, he curled into a ball.

"I think I did it!" He started to roll around, losing balance every once in a while, but he was getting the hang of it! He came to a stop, then uncurled into an upright position! "OH YEAH!" he cheered, throwing an arm up!

SLAM!

Only to fall backwards, leaving a Aburian Pelarota-sized crater on the floor.

"I guess it ain't no ID Mask! HAHAHAHA!"

Midoriya sighed as Knut kept cackling, choosing to switch back. He tapped the Omnitrix on his forehead, flashing red to revert to normal before clambering out of the crater. He noticed that Nugget looked almost…sad.

"Are you ok?" he asked politely. The Pelarota blinked, than shook it off. "It's nothing. It's just…I haven't seen another…" he gulped sadly. "Nevermind kid. You know your way home?"

"Not really, I live on the surface." Both aliens seemed shocked. "Seriously?" Knut all but screeched, losing his sense of humor. "Listen kid, you can't tell the locals about us!"

"Wait, what!?" Midoriya cried. "I don't underst-" A thick arm slapped his shoulder as Nugget calmed Knut down. "Hey, take it easy, man. Let me explain it. Listen kid, this is a level 3 planet. You know what that means?" Midoriya shook his head no (which Nugget didn't understand, but he explained anyway). "It means we foreigners can't live on the surface until the locals are ready for us. It's intergalactic law. If the public finds out, we all have to leave."

Midoriya's eyes widened at his new friends. "All of you? You mean…"

"Yeah, kid. Everyone who immigrated here would have to move somewhere else until the public can handle it. A lot of folks are here looking for a better life or for work. Some are here 'cause they don't have anywhere else to go." Nugget smiled grimly. "It sucks, but it's the choice we all made by movin' here. Right Knut?"

"He's right kid." The devil alien confirmed. "Before I moved here, I was taken hostage to be an Incursian mechanic. This be my only home right now."

"I didn't know!" Tears started to form in his eyes. "That's why all these aliens live here? In Undertown?"

"Oh, not everyone." Nugget continued, walking Midoriya out the door. "But it would still mess a lot of people up if they were forced to move off world ya know. For a lot of folks though, like Knut and myself, its just not something we can risk. We're refugees kid, plain and simple." Knut put something in Midoriya's hand as they walked outside.

"Here, this'll get ya to the surface lickity-split. You ever feel like comin' back, just turn tha' on." Midoriya looked at the gadget. It was a hastily put-together navigator, literally made two minutes ago from scrap. "Thanks, Knut. Nugget." He turned it on, activating a small holomap of the area. "Don't worry, I'll keep the secret!"

"Thanks kid, means a lot!" The Planchakule waved as he jogged back into the shop. Nugget motioned for Midoriya to come closer, which he did. "Can I see that watch once more?" Midoriya nodded. The Pelarota took a look at the green symbol. "An hourglass, eh?" He studied the watch for a bit before speaking. "You know, there's an old legend about some Galvanic technology. Some sort of device that was built for universal peace." The alien chuckled a bit. "Just an old story among mechanics anyway, but the symbol here is quite similar." He gave Midoriya his wrist back. "Take care of that thing kid. And it'll take care of you."

Midoriya looked as his watch, all charged up and ready.

Nugget gave a thumbs up before rolling back to the engine block. Izuku turned to leave but called back. "Hey Nugget?"

"Yeah kid?"

That Galvanic thing? What's it called?

"…it was called an Omnitrix! Couldn't tell ya what it does though…"

"Ok then…thanks for everything!" Midoriya gave one last look around before activating the watch.

"The Omnitrix, huh." He cycled to Nugget's species, then to XLR8 once more.

FLASH

xXx

It was dark out while Inko sat in her son's bedroom. All Might posters were, but also drawings and sketches of his transformations. Over the past few months, his art styles had improved drastically, showing greater detail in the forms he would occasionally take. Inko was holding one such drawing, Heatblast, he calls it?

Tears dropped to the carpet. All Might and the police were doing everything they could, but they haven't found him yet. Inko hugged the small picture. 'He has to be ok. He's out there somewhere, I know he…"

FLASH

A red flash! From outside! Inko practically sprinted downstairs and whipped the door open. And there he was.

"Hi Mom. Sorry I-oof!"

"IZUKUUU! ARE YOU ALRIGHT? WHERE WERE YOU? HOW DID YOU GET BACK? ARE YOU ALRIGHT?"

This went on for a while until Inko called the police. Within minutes, Toshinori and Tsukauchi were there with a team of EMTs and cops. Eventually, they were able to ask Midoriya what had happened.

And boy, was it a long story.

xXx

And that's Chapter Three of the Alien Hero! It was only a matter of time, but now Midoriya knows, or at least kinda knows, what the Omnitrix is and what it does. Oh, and that aliens exist. That too.

Some characters and their designs were taken from the Omniverse series, such as Knut the Juryrigg and the Kinecelerans. It's been a while since I've written a story with no canon guideline, so this was fun! One-for-All is still up in the air, but I've got some ideas for what to do with it. Just wait and see!

Also, the count has gone from 10 to 11! Cannonbolt is now part of his arsenal, which opens the door to a lot of new additions. I'm not sure if JuryRigg will be added so soon as well. Not that he's no good, but he's honestly just Grey Matter on crack. Let's be real. Nugget is a completely OG character is one of the few Aburian Pelorotas left in the universe. Additionally, Cannonbolt may be the first to be unlocked, but that doesn't mean he'll unlock his aliens in the same order. It'll depend more on what the plot needs for him to turn into at a given time. For example, he may unlock Rath before he unlocks Upchuck, and so on.

As for keeping Undertown a secret, Midoriya will do his best. Whether he'll be able to in front of Tsukauchi is another story. We'll see.

And now…the reviews!

Thank you! Will keep it up!

To Sarah9730

Good analogy.

To Gamelover41592

Good questions with good answers my friend.

Azmuth never met Ben Tennyson in this universe. Because of that, he's had no reason to leave that planet he's holed up on or to change his attitude about the universe. Remember, for a Galvan, 150 years is really not a lot of time.

As for Ghostfreak, keep on reading to find out :P

Perhaps…

Makes sense to me. Though, given how much time All Might's invested in Midoriya already, he may just get One-for-All. Just much later.

To Wickerstein

I love love love your idea, and I may adapt that to what I'm planning right now for OfA. Obviously he knows it's not a quirk now, but the idea is still viable. Good ideas, all around.

To jikker jack

A little bit, yeah. I'll be first to admit it.

Your interpretation is similar to Wickerstein's, I like it. It would also make sense if the Omnitrix overwrote OfA, but that would make Midoriya hella OP. Still working it out :P

To Ohma flame

Exactly how I feel! :D
