*ABANDONED CHURCH, NIGHTTIME*
Kiba, Saji, and Issei are seen changing into priests' clothing while Irina and Xenovia wait for them to finish.
"Never thought it'd come to this, but a devil wearing a priest's clothes, quite ironic." Issei remarked.
"If this is the price I'll pay for revenge, so be it." Kiba said with a serious face.
Koneko arrives on the scene changed in a smaller version of the priest outfit.
"Sup." She greeted.
"Right, everyone's here, let me go over the plan, we'll go with one or two partners except me, Saji, Kiba and Koneko, you guys search at the east part of town, Irina and Xenovia will cover the west, and I'll be covering the rest." Issei explained as everyone nodded.
"If any of us see anything, contact each other through cellphones." Xenovia added
"Got it." Issei answered.
"Issei Hyoudou, I forgot to tell you something that you'll find interesting." Xenovia looked towards Issei.
"And that is?" Issei sported a confused look.
"I'll tell you as thanks for feeding us… The white dragon has awakened." Xenovia revealed.
"My rival huh, about time they showed up." Issei feigned being shocked.
*NORTHSIDE OF KUOH*
Issei is seen walking along the streets of Kuoh talking to Ddraig.
"So much for knowing, it's official huh, Ddraig?" Issei asked his dragon.
[Yes, our long-awaited battle comes nearer by the day, I can't wait for you to kick the white one's ass!] Ddraig spoke in excitement.
"Aren't you concerned that the white one's host has a possibility to be stronger than me?" Issei asked again.
[If I'm being honest partner, I'm more concerned about the white one's host, they won't last much longer when they fight us, your arsenal of weapons is sure to leave them guessing on your next move, and I'm sure that they don't know that you're half-dragon, your devil side is what stands out the most.] Ddraig answered.
"I guess that's true." Issei cut off the mental link.
Issei's phone rang.
"Issei-kun, I think I know a place where they'll show up." Kiba spoke in urgency.
"Alright, where is it?" Issei asked.
"The abandoned warehouse." Kiba hung up.
*ABANDONED WAREHOUSE*
"Brings back memories, this is the place where we killed the stray Viser, right?" Issei spoke, Koneko only gave him a nod.
"Stray devil?" Saji asked.
"Yeah, we faced it before in this place and where I found one of my grandfather's devil arms." Issei explained while the group walks towards the entrance.
They felt a chill run up their spine.
"Yuto-senpai, above." Koneko warned the knight
The group looked towards the roof and saw Freed Sellzan carrying a holy sword.
Freed jumped off the roof preparing to pounce on Kiba.
Kiba prepared a demonic sword but was surprised once Issei was in front of him.
Issei summoned Severance and countered Freed, sending him flying towards the roof again.
"I have no idea how you're alive, but I will make sure that I do the job this time!" Issei showed a battle-hungry smirk.
"Oh, it's the cocaine haired bastard, his knight friend and some random guy, and a midge-" Freed was cut off from Koneko's glare.
"I-I mean small framed young lady." Freed stammered.
"I thought I could have some fun priest hunting tonight, but it turns out to be a bunch of devil scums cosplaying." Freed licked his holy sword.
"Please be careful, that holy sword is the same as Irina and Xenovia's swords." Koneko spoke to Kiba and Issei.
"I know, stay back Kiba, I'll take this guy on." Issei shoved the knight.
"No, I'll fight him! This is my revenge!" Kiba retorted.
"Look, I have resistance to holy items, and you guys don't, and I don't want any of you to be touched by that sword, you'll get your shot at destroying Excalibur soon enough." Issei calmed Kiba down.
"Fine." Kiba scowled.
"Let's go!" Issei charged at Freed.
Kiba suddenly barged in.
"Kiba, I told you to stand back!" Issei yelled at the knight.
"I'm not taking any chances, Issei-kun, I want to destroy that thing right now!" Kiba retorted.
"Looks like I have no choice, Saji, drain him of his strength for a bit." Issei looked towards Saji.
"Uhh, sure, Absorption Line, go! How the hell do you know about my sacred gear?" Saji hesitantly cast the line draining Kiba.
"Damn it…I can't move" Kiba thrashed all over the place.
Issei for real charged at the stray priest managing to nick his chest.
"Hoo, not bad for a devil scum, but you haven't seen the real power of this baby!" Freed dashed in.
But he was easily stopped much to his surprise.
"What the hell! This is Excalibur Rapidly, the super-fast sword it's supposed to give me super-duper speed!" Freed complained
"Heh, Saji let him go." Issei summoned Ebony and Ivory to his side.
"Ddraig, can you make the bullets of Ebony and Ivory have the ability of Transfer?" Issei asked the dragon while parrying strikes from Freed.
"Damn it! Damn it! WHY CAN'T I HIT YOU?!" Freed angrily complained
"It's more about the swordsman than the actual sword, isn't it?" Issei smirked pushing back Freed with a strong bash from Cavaliere.
[I can… TRANSFER… you can shoot it now.] Ddraig answered.
Issei aimed Ebony and Ivory towards Kiba and shot him with BOOSTING bullets.
"HEY, PRETTY BOY USE YOUR SWORD BIRTH ON THIS GUY. Koneko, call the two exorcists." Issei requested.
Kiba complied and dashed towards the rooftop.
"Sword Birth!" Kiba announced as numerous amounts of demonic swords spawned around Freed, the latter trying his best to deflect every sword coming to him.
"Sword Birth, huh?" A mysterious voice was heard.
"Who goes there?!" Kiba lost his focus.
"A Sacred Gear that can manifest any number of demonic swords based on the user's ability. Freed, you're still lacking on using the holy swords given to you, huh?" An old-looking man in a priest's outfit came out of the warehouse.
"Oh, Old Man Valper." Freed spoke in relief.
Issei and Kiba immediately scowled after hearing that name.
This ass hat is the guy Azazel mentioned, man looks like a damn pear with pubes on it. Issei thought amused.
"The mastermind behind the Holy Sword Project-" Koneko was cut off.
"Valper Galilei!" Kiba gritted his teeth.
"The one and only." Valper arrogantly answered.
"I know you want to be introduced in a flashy and dramatic way, but I kinda need help defeating this devil scum." Freed sarcastically spoke.
"Put everything you have into the sword, and you'll see." Valper grabbed his chin.
Freed complied and the holy sword started to glow.
"HAHA! Now I can kill you for real this time cocaine head." Freed darted to Issei in an instant.
"Fast, but you're not fast enough." Issei smirked blocking Freed.
"HAAA!" Kiba jumped in but Freed stepped back in time.
"Yoohoo, we're here!" Irina approached with Xenovia.
"Hoo, two Excalibur Fragments, you can't win, fall back for now." Valper requested.
"Roger that!" Freed answered as he pulled out a flashbang.
"Goodbye, shitty devils!" Freed threw the flashbang and escaped with Valper.
"If he pulls that shit on us again, I'll go after him myself!" Issei said in frustration.
"After them, Irina!" Xenovia ran with Kiba and Irina.
"Hey wait up… Damn it!" Issei scowled.
"Let's go back to the ORC and report to our presidents, grab onto me, we'll teleport there." Issei said as Koneko and Saji complied.
*ORC CLUBROOM*
Issei along with Saji and Koneko appeared right in front of the ORC members minus Asia, Sona and Tsubaki.
"Did you find anything? And where is Yuto?" Rias asked as the trio exited the teleportation circle.
"Yes, Valper Galiei is in town along with Freed Sellzan, as for Kiba, he went after Valper along with Irina and Xenovia." Issei explained.
"Oh Maou, I hope you're okay Yuto." Rias worriedly said.
"He'll be fine, Irina and Xenovia are with him, but something tells me that he'll try to go after his revenge alone." Issei spoke trying to alleviate Rias' worriedness.
"I can't help it Ise, what if he runs into Freed again?" Rias grows more worried.
"He won't, Valper Galilei specifically ordered him to retreat, for now, meaning that we have time to figure things out." Issei explained the current situation.
"You're right, thank you, Ise." Rias smiled.
"Anytime." Issei smiled back.
"So, Saji, anything from your end?" Sona asked her pawn.
"Hyoudou explained everything that happened, and by the way, how the hell does he know about my sacred gear?" Saji asked.
"I told him about it, though I don't know much about your sacred gear as well." Sona admitted.
"I see, he asked me to use it on Rias-senpai's knight." Saji confessed gathering Rias' attention.
"You what?!" Rias yelled at Issei.
"Rias, I only did it, because he was going berserk, I don't want him to die, especially from the very thing he hates the most." Issei calmly answered.
"Oh, I'm sorry Ise, I'm just really on edge right now." Rias calmed down.
"It's getting late, let's go home, Asia must be waiting for us." Issei prepared to leave.
"Alright." Rias complied.
"Everyone, we'll meet here again same time tomorrow, it's gonna get ugly at this point." Issei cryptically spoke as everyone left the room.
*HYOUDOU RESIDENCE*
Issei and Rias are seen walking hand in hand towards their home.
"Ise, am I not good enough to be marked?" Rias suddenly asked.
"Hmm? What made you ask that?" Issei wondered.
"Well, ever since Ddraig explained the marking of your mates, there has to be a number one, right?" Rias slightly frowned.
"Rias, dating you is like a dream come true, you're kind, understanding, elegant, and has a smokin' sexy body, you're Ms Perfect in my eyes, and it won't matter if I mark you or not, I only see marking as a way to repel other guys from hitting on you, it just so happens that the first mark grants power over the other women I'll eventually mark." Issei kissed Rias' cheek.
"Are you not satisfied with me alone?" Rias begged with puppy dog eyes.
Damn it, those eyes of her get me every time! Issei blushed
"Emotionally yes, you're the first girl I've actually felt love for, physically no, you and Sona couldn't even handle me." Issei chuckled pointing down his groin.
Rias let go of Issei's hand and stepped in, facing the boy.
"Hmm, I guess I have to prove myself~" Rias draped her arms over Issei's shoulders with half-lidded eyes, closing in for a kiss. Little did they know that they were already in front of their home's door.
"Welcome home! Oh, Issei-san, what are you doing with Rias onee-sama?" Asia surprised the couple wearing a white naked apron.
"O-oh nothing, anyways we're home! Wait… w-w-what are you wearing Asia?!" Issei stammered.
"Uhm, our classmate, Aika Kiryuu suggested I wear it. She said that the best way to relieve a tired man is to wear clothes like this." Asia flared out the apron's side.
That damn four-eyed pervert! Issei thought in frustration.
"I see. There's that method of pleasing Ise." Rias happily said.
"Asia, one day you'll become an extremely wicked and sexy female devil." Rias added.
"Eh, I don't want to be a wicked and sexy devil." Asia answered worriedly.
"Please change up Asia, it's only a matter of time before mom sees this." Issei hid his blush.
"Oh, it's fine, she looks wonderful in those! Welcome home by the way." Kalina popped out of the laundry room.
"Damn it." Issei facepalmed again.
"I'm the one who helped her with the entire getup." Kalina huffed proudly.
"Kalina-san, please let me wear a naked apron too." Rias spoke with determination.
"Asia, it was a good move, but you're nowhere near the relationship I have with him." Rias whispered at Asia.
"Then I will work harder to earn it!" Asia spoke with fire in her eyes.
"When did it all go wrong?" Issei asked himself.
"Issei-san. Are these clothes troublesome for you?" Asia asked in a worried tone.
"Not at all, in fact, you look amazing, and remember this; I will always protect you, no matter who or what it is I'm facing, I will fight and drive away everything you think is scary." Issei declared making Asia blush.
"Issei-san… I don't regret becoming a devil, my faith is something I can let go of, but now I found something even more important than my faith. The President, everyone in the club, friends from school, Kalina okaa-sama, and most importantly… you Issei-san. Everyone is precious to me, and I want to be with everyone forever. I don't want to be alone again!" Asia lunged at Issei, embracing the boy.
Issei's perverted side reared its ugly head, making his tendencies once again awaken.
Damn it! After a speech like that, how can I not help myself with groping some holy ass! Issei thought as his hands slowly crept up Asia's behind.
"Issei~" Rias called out.
"R-R-Rias, I haven't done anything!" Issei one arm shot back as Asia embraced the other.
"How is it?" Rias presented herself wearing a fuschia naked apron with a heart embroidered on the chest area, and of course, she shows a butt-ton of cleavage.
Issei's nose bled startling Asia.
"Enough of that, let's make dinner, it's late so we'll have to make something quick and simple." Rias said walking towards the kitchen.
The two went inside and made a simple curry with meat and potatoes while Kalina prepared the table.
"It's like you have two wives already, gosh you make your grandfather look like a complete child when it comes to women."Kalina whispered smiling at Rias and Asia.
"Hey, mom, can we move our visit to Nero's place on Sunday?" Issei asked gesturing for Kalina to go outside.
"Yeah, sure, but why?" Kalina walked just outside the kitchen.
"Things are shaping up to be bad, really bad." Issei ominously said.
"How bad?" Kalina added.
"A leader class fallen angel coming to town with the intent to start a war bad." Issei spoke in a softer tone so only Kalina could hear it.
"What! Is this Azazel's doing?" Kalina nearly yelled.
"No, it's one of his cadres, the guy is a complete warmonger." Issei answered.
"You've got no choice but to fight him, huh?" Kalina crossed her arms and sighed.
"Yeah, I'm doing this to protect everyone I care for, that guy can destroy the entire town if he's left unchecked, the least I can do is to honour dad's wishes and that is to protect you and everyone else with all I have." Issei spoke with vigour.
"Alright, I'll make a call, and if you need help, I can fight too, it's about time I give Mercy a good ol' swing." Kalina chuckled while heading for their landline.
Kalina walked to their home's landline and called Nero.
"Devil May Cry." Nero answered.
"Hey Nero, it's me again, look, we're moving our visit to Sunday if you don't mind?" Kalina requested.
"It's fine, what's the occasion though?" Nero asked.
"Issei's fighting a leader class fallen angel, don't know when, but hopefully he can handle himself out there." Kalina smirked.
"Kid's gonna fight someone of that calibre, you think he has what it takes?" Nero whistled.
"I do, after his training, being Ddraig's host, plus being half-dragon, he's probably stronger than you and I combined right now." Kalina said surprising Nero.
"I'll be damned it always has to be the young ones huh?" Nero chuckled.
"I won't let him go alone though, I made sure that he calls me when the need arises." Kalina huffed.
"Good, see you Sunday then." Nero hung up.
"Ise, Kalina-san, dinner's ready!" Rias called for the two.
Dinner went down smoothly as Kalina, and Asia did their nightly duties and went to bed.
Rias and Issei are seen together in the bathtub having a conversation.
"Hey, Ise did you-" Rias was cut off as Issei placed his finger on Rias' lips.
"If you're wondering what I said back there was true or not. It was all true, I meant every single word of what I said to you, and I'll repeat until you believe it to be true." Issei embraced Rias from behind.
"Ise…do you not doubt me?" Rias worriedly asked.
"No, I don't, even if you did lie to me, I'd do everything to earn your heart." Issei tightened his embrace making Rias blush.
"B-But what if you find someone else better than me?" Rias said softly.
"It won't matter, you'll always be my number one." Issei smiled.
*FOREST NEAR KUOH*
The moonlit forest was peaceful, the sounds of its natural life were the only thing heard until the flapping of wings, and a person running can be heard.
The forest was suddenly blasted with a barrage of light-based attacks hitting its target.
"AHH!" Irina bellowed in pain as she was hit by said light attacks where a multi-winged creature flew up above her.
"Found ya!" The all too familiar voice of Freed Sellzan was heard.
Irina stood up preparing for a fight when Freed appeared right in front of her.
"You can run, but did you really think you won't be caught out when you separated from your friends?" Freed licked his holy sword
Irina whipped her holy sword out but was easily dodged by Freed.
"Excalibur Mimic? I want that!" Freed maniacally said as he slashed Irina's clothes apart and pinned her against a tree by her neck.
"Let me go, you heretic!" Irina said in discomfort.
"Now, what shall we do with you?" Freed closed in on the exorcist.
"That's enough." A deep gruff voice was heard.
"Wha-" Freed said in confusion.
"Capture her. Even if she's weak, we can still use her as bait." The voice spoke revealing Kokabiel floating in the air with his ten black wings out.
*ORC CLUBROOM, AFTERNOON*
The ORC members minus Kiba are seen with Issei discussing the whereabouts of Kiba.
"So has he contacted any of you?" Issei started.
"Not even once." Akeno answered in a serious tone.
"Well, the two exorcists he's with are skilled with the sword, until you raised the bar for them, Ise." Rias looked towards Issei.
"They could take on a stray priest if he's by himself." Risa added.
"I made things worse, didn't I?" Issei said in frustration.
"No, you didn't, you only did what was best for everyone and kept them safe, you should be happy with that." Rias eased the boy.
Issei could only nod.
"We did send out our familiars around town in the hopes that they'd find at least one of them since they won't contact us in any way, shape or form." Akeno explained.
"And when we did, they found something you won't like, Issei-kun." Akeno ominously spoke.
Issei had a vague idea of who concerns it, but he had to find out for himself.
The whole group teleported to where Rias' familiar sent them a signal from.
They saw an unconscious and badly injured Irina.
"IRINA!" A panicked Issei rushed towards his childhood friend who was held up but Rias' familiar.
"Asia, heal her, please…" Issei nearly cried.
"Who did this?" Asia sadly said healing Irina.
"Irina, who did this to you? And where are Kiba and Xenovia?!" Issei asked in a concerned tone.
"Th-They got away…but I was too slow to catch up to them." Irina answered weakly.
"You shouldn't be speaking at all." Asia continued to heal Irina.
"He's…very strong…be careful…Issei-kun." Irina lost consciousness again.
"IRINA STAY WITH ME!" Issei pleaded.
A Sitri magic circle appeared revealing Sona, Tsubaki and Saji.
"Thank you for coming Sona." Rias said in a relieved tone.
"Of course, I had to come after receiving your message." Sona approached the injured Irina inspecting her.
"The damage done was pretty bad, wasn't it?" Sona looked at Asia.
"Y-Yes. Twilight Healing can only heal physical wounds but won't recover lost stamina."
"There's medical equipment in my home that can treat her. Tsubaki, transport her safely." Sona requested.
"Yes." Tsubaki simply replied.
"I'm leaving her to you." Sona said as Tsubaki teleported away with Irina.
"Looks like Kiba-san and Xenovia-san are alright…Uhm, Issei-san?" Asia gave Issei a concerned look.
Issei had been awfully quiet after Irina was taken to be treated, Asia took a closer look at Issei and grew even more concerned.
"What's going here even?" Saji asked.
Everyone felt a headache.
"They're here." Issei answered as his hair shadowed his eyes
"Why hello there. You numbskulls actually took the bait and are all gathered here? How are you all, devil scum?" Freed spoke as he appeared from behind a random tree.
"Freed!" Issei snapped.
"Oh? Who do we have here? Asia-chan who became and sided with devils. Are you happy with your scummy devil life?" Freed looked at Asia.
"YOU BASTARD!" Issei was about to kill Freed until Rias and Sona stepped in, preparing to cast spells.
"Woah, there, wait a sec. Someone here wants to talk to the red-haired lady over there." Freed pointed up.
"Someone?" Rias and Sona lowered their magic circles.
"Yeah, the big boss." Freed spoke as Kokabiel was revealed amongst the devils.
"A fallen angel." Koneko remarked in her monotone voice.
"Ten wings at that, he's a leader class." Akeno added.
"Nice to meet you, I suppose? Daughter of the Gremory House. My name is Kokabiel" Kokabiel said.
Kokabiel has the appearance of a middle-aged man with long black hair, red eyes with yellow irises, pointy ears, and is wearing a black robe with purple shoulder pads with gold streaks on the side and detailed accessories.
"Greetings, angel who fell disgracefully, I am Rias Gremory. Glad to make your acquaintance." Rias replied sarcastically.
"Your crimson hair is as beautiful as they say. You mirror your sister, the Scarlet-haired Devil Queen, Sireena. It makes me want to vomit." Kokabiel retorted.
"So? Why do you want a word with me? It's not often to see a leader up close." Rias crossed her arms.
"I just thought of starting with your stronghold over at Kuoh Academy and razing this town." Kokabiel announced.
"You wouldn't!" Rias scowled.
"If I succeed, Sireena will come out even if she doesn't want to, right?" Kokabiel proclaimed.
"If you do that, the war between the three powers would break out again." Rias replied in annoyance.
"Heh, I thought that Michael would come if I stole the Excalibur's, but all they sent were some exorcists and two lowly holy sword users. The disrespect and it was disappointing, to say the least." Kokabiel said with a smirk.
"Then your goal from the beginning was…" Sona trailed off.
"To start a war." Rias finished Sona's sentence.
"Yes. That's correct! After the three-way war finished, I was bored to point of being suicidal. Azazel and Shemhazai were being wusses about the next war too." Kokabiel vented.
"Damn it Azazel. You're right." Issei whispered to himself but was heard.
"That Azazel not only pulled out from the war, but he also started collecting these wretched things called Sacred Gears and is obsessed with studying them." Kokabiel added
"You're not done with holy swords, but with Sacred Gears too?!" Issei yelled.
"Your Boosted Gear could be useful as a weapon, but I have something else, so I'm not interested." Kokabiel looked down on the boy.
"I'll show you something you'll be gladly interested in!" Issei summoned Severance prepared to battle the fallen but was stopped by Koneko.
"Fallen angels, God, and devils are only hanging by a thread before war breaks out. If that's the case, I'll start a war with these two hands!" Kokabiel announced.
"You're a complete warmonger!" Rias scowled.
"That's why I'm using you, devils, this time! Lucifer's sister, Rias Gremory and Leviathan's sister, Sona Sitri. There must be a lot of power looming over the school you two attend, humph. It'll be a fantastic warzone."
"That's crazy!" Saji spoke.
"This guy's got a few screws loose." Issei remarked regaining his composure.
"Isn't my boss the best? I'm getting caught up in it as well! I'm getting all these rewards too!" Freed cackled presenting three Excaliburs.
"Crackheads got three of them, huh, this could be a problem for all of us." Issei remarked.
"To add to your problems, all of them are ready to slice some devil scum! I'm literally the best!" Freed proclaimed.
"I even got this, the Holy Sword of Mimicry, Excalibur Mimic! I got this from the girl in pigtails." Freed added pissing Issei off again.
"Let's have a war, sister of the Devil Queen Sireena Lucifer, Rias Gremory!" Kokabiel casted a barrage of light spears and flew to Kuoh Academy.
Rias, Sona, and Akeno cast defensive barriers but was surprised to see the barrage suddenly dissipate.
Issei amidst the commotion countered the light spear barrage by his own barrage of Summoned Swords.
"Where did they go?" Saji asked in urgency.
"Over there." Koneko pointed towards Kuoh Academy.
"Bastards really intend to destroy the academy!" Issei spoke in frustration.
"No, they won't stop there." Sona remarked.
"That's true." Rias agreed.
"Then that means…" Issei trailed off.
"It would be easy for a fallen angel of that calibre to destroy the entire town, what's worse is that my servants have seen him releasing his powers at the school grounds." Sona ominously spoke.
Visions of everyone Issei cared for dying immediately entered his mind.
"DAMN IT! That asshole wants to destroy this town because he finds it amusing. Hell no!" Issei bellowed in frustration.
"My peerage and I will construct a barrier around the school." Sona teleported out
"We're going back to Kuoh Academy." Rias announced
"It's about time we have a real fight." Isse spoke with a smirk.
*KUOH ACADEMY*
Valper Galilei is seen with Freed Sellzan casting a spell to fuse the four fragments of Excalibur.
"Finally…Something worth watching." Valper completed the spell.
A bright pillar of golden light shone across town.
"My dream is about to be a reality." Valper said.
Kiba watched the event from the ORC clubroom's window sternly looking at it.
-Outside Kuoh Academy-
Sona and her peerage are seen preparing a barrier around their school's perimeter.
Tsubaki teleported to the scene.
"Tsubaki, how's Irina?" Issei asked.
"Her condition is not life-threatening, it's all thanks to Argento-san's treatment." Tsubaki walked over to the barrier helping in reinforcing it.
"That's a relief." Asia commented.
"Where the hell is Xenovia?" Issei wondered.
"Nothing from Kiba as well?" Saji asked.
"Nothing as well, but I know that he's here somewhere." Issei answered.
"We'll keep the barrier up for as long as we can, but I won't be able to prevent collateral damage from the inside." Sona spoke.
"You're gonna need some help with that." Issei added.
"What do you mean?" Rias said in a confused tone.
"Just wait." Issei summoned a communications circle.
"Yes, Issei?" Tiamat answered.
"Tia, I need you here in Kuoh Academy pronto." Issei requested.
"As you wish." Tia cut off the link
A light blue Sparda magic circle is seen manifest next to Issei, revealing Tiamat.
"Tia, I need you to assist Sona and her peerage in reinforcing the barrier, things are about to get crazy." Issei smirked as his Sin Devil Trigger manifested around him briefly.
Tiamat seeing this couldn't help but blush as she felt Issei's power skyrocket for a second.
"O-Okay" Tiamat added her magic to the barrier.
"Rias, it's not too late to contact your sister you know." Sona glanced at Rias.
"I don't see you calling your sister too." Rias smiled.
"Your older sister loves you deeply, doesn't she? She'll definitely come to aid you in battle." Sona said as Akeno stepped in.
"I've already contacted Sireena-sama." Akeno said.
"Akeno, why did you contact her on your own?" Rias questioned her queen.
"Rias, I understand that you don't want to be a bother to Sireena-sama but remember that our opponent is a leader-class fallen angel, not even all of us combined can defeat him." Akeno warned
"Let's have the Maou help us with this one." Akeno added.
Rias simply sighed.
"Thank you for understanding, Buchou. Sireena-sama's forces will arrive in about one hour" Akeno smiled.
"My goodness, I just can't win against you." Rias sighed.
-Kuoh Academy hallway-
"Ise, do you have any support abilities?" Rias asked.
"I do, I have Transfer, it can temporarily give you any amount of boost I put into it." Issei explained.
"Good, do you need time to recharge it?" Rias followed up.
"No need, I can use them in I can boost any number of times when I'm in Balance Breaker and I can shoot the BOOSTS out through Ebony and Ivory." Issei explained.
"You really thought of everything, don't you?" Rias remarked.
"Better safe than sorry." Issei smirked.
"We're counting on you, Ise" Rias glanced at the boy.
"You got it!" Issei smiled back.
"We have to be aggressive on this one, we have to get in the school and prevent Kokabiel from eradicating the whole town, this isn't like the "friendly" you had with Xenovia and Irina, this time lives are at risk, and a lot of them. Let's move out!" Rias announced.
-Field in Kuoh Academy-
The group went outside and saw four swords that radiated holy energy and a large magic circle that spanned the entire school field. Valper Galilei is seen in the middle of it all.
"What is that?" Asia asked.
"I'm making the four Excaliburs into one." Valper overheard Asia.
"Valper, how much longer will it take for the Excaliburs to merge?" Kokabiel looked at Valper.
Everyone immediately looked up the sky and saw Kokabiel sitting on a floating throne with crossed legs.
"It's nearly done, five minutes or so, Kokabiel." Valper answered.
"Alright then, I'll leave you to it." Kokabiel now looked at Rias.
"In place of Onee-sama and Leviathan-sama, we-" Rias was cut off.
*ZIP BANNNG!*
A huge explosion echoed throughout the area, a massive pillar of light was seen where the school gym was located, nothing was left of it, just a big crater and a pillar of light firmly stabbed on the ground.
"Borinnnng. Well blowing that up was entertaining at least." Kokabiel yawned.
"That's not a pillar of light, it's a damn light spear! Guy's a powerhouse I guess." Issei casually said.
[Are you scared partner?] Ddraig directly spoke to Issei.
"No, makes me excited for once, at least the fight won't be short-lived." Issei replied.
[Never would I thought that you'd be excited to fight a leader class being that can level an entire town. I mean, that elf eared bastard is in the Bible.] Ddraig chuckled.
"Recorded in the Bible or not, it's still a bunch of words on a bunch of paper." Issei laughed.
"Hoo, is that a challenge, Red Dragon Emperor?" Kokabiel moved his eyes to Issei.
"Why don't you get off that toilet bowl of a throne first?" Issei raised his middle finger angering the fallen angel.
Ddraig was inwardly laughing at his hosts antics.
"Enough! Let's see if you can take on my pets." Kokabiel snapped his fingers
Two dark portals emerged out of nowhere and out came two massive creatures; The first one was a ten-meter dog with three heads, it had a massive torso, black fur, bloodshot eyes. and muscular hind legs. The second creature was a seven-meter giant spider that had a grey exoskeleton, six-blue eyes, an inner body that's seemingly made from lava, and a coiled tail atop its abdomen.
"C-Cerberus!" Rias said in shock.
"So, there's more Cerberuses out there." Issei grabbed his chin.
"How can you be so calm?! There's a giant flaming spider and two giant dogs about to kill us!" Rias exclaimed.
"Calm down now, I got some backup for us." Issei reached for his phone.
"Yes, Issei?" Kalina's voice was heard through the phone.
"We're in a pinch, there's a big ass spider here that's also on fire for some reason, can you lend a hand? I'm sure you've faced one of these in your devil hunting days." Issei described the creature.
"Ah, that's a "Phantom" I know, the name sounds pretty stupid for something that bright, gimme a sec." Kalina answered.
"The school is closed off with a barrier, be sure to teleport where Sona and her peerage is so they'll let you pass." Issei added.
"I'll keep that in mind." Kalina hung up.
"You're calling your mother for this?" Rias asked.
"Yeah, she can handle her own in a fight, trust me." Issei smiled.
-With Kalina-
Kalina is seen going down the secret basement, where she's about to dig up her weapons and gear.
"Looks like we're back in action." Kalina smiled as she opened a large chest with her name on it.
Inside was a pair of white Kimber 1911s with Reign and Control engraved on each of its slides, Mercy, Kalina's scythe in its compact form, and her red leather jacket. (A/N: The scythe's looks are based on Mori Calliope's scythe.)
Kalina wore her jacket completing her look. She wore a black V-neck inner shirt, black pants with a belt that had a rose on its buckle, and combat boots, Reign and Control on their respective holsters placed on Kalina's sides, and Mercy magically hanging from her back.
"Alright, let's go!" Kalina teleported out of the house.
-With Sona and her Peerage-
Kalina teleported just outside of Sona's view, making sure that she can't be sensed by anyone.
"This sure feels familiar." Kalina remarked using her signature ability.
"So, they heavily fortified the place with a barrier to only affect the school, smart, we don't want everyone knowing of the supernatural world." Kalina got out of cover.
She walked up to the group.
"Hey uh, who's Sona Sitri here?" Kalina asked.
"That would be me." Sona looked at Kalina.
Strange, it's as if she's not even here, if she is here, she probably has something to do with whatever's going on inside. Sona thought.
"What brings you here Ms.?" Sona looked confused.
"Kalina is fine, and can I pass through the barrier? I got a call from someone that needs a hand." Kalina pointed at the barrier.
"And who might that be, Kalina-san?" Sona fixed her glasses.
"My son, Issei Hyoudou." Kalina shrugged.
"WHAT!?" Sona and her peerage exclaimed.
"Y-You're Issei's mother?" Sona stuttered.
"Yes, yes, I am, now can I please get through the barrier? He needs me out there. We can talk about me after this." Kalina said with an annoyed look
"Of course." Sona opened a small part of the barrier.
"Thank you." Kalina winked.
Does she know? Sona thought.
"Looks like I'm doing it your way, pops." Kalina said to herself.
"Kaichou, was that really Hyoudou's mother?" Saji had hearts in his eyes.
"She definitely is, just look at her, her looks are a huge tell and the way she carries herself is something Issei does." Sona remarked.
-With Issei and the others-
"HEY ISSEI, I'M HERE ALREADY, WHERE'S THE DAMNED SPIDER?" Kalina bellowed making her presence known.
"Kalina okaa-sama?!" Asia called out in shock, Kalina only smiled and waved at the former nun.
"With me!" Issei gestured for Kalina to come to him.
Kalina darted to Issei at blinding speeds surprising everyone.
"So, is that it? Pretty big one you got there." Kalina remarked.
"Not mine, his." Issei pointed to the fallen angel.
"Oh, so that's the big boss you gotta fight, man looks like he smoked weed for eons." Kalina laughed.
"Anyways, I got this, you can take care of the dog there." Kalina pulled out Mercy.
Issei and Rias ran towards the rest of the peerage.
"Alright everyone, let's put that mutt to rest!" Issei pulled out Ebony and Ivory.
"Rias, Akeno-san, go above the Cerberus and poke it your attacks, I'll shoot a boost to you two when it's needed." Issei explained.
"Alright."
"Understood." Rias and Akeno flew up.
"Koneko-chan, we're taking this thing head on!" Issei summoned Agni and Rudra.
Koneko nodded.
"Finally, a battle!" Agni spoke in high spirits.
"Use us well, master." Rudra added.
"You bet I will!" Issei jumped in.
Rias and Akeno attacked the giant dog with p.o.d and lightning blasts while making sure to be of ample distance to avoid getting caught.
Issei ran up and jumped a considerable height with Agni and Rudra in hand, the Cerberus saw this and fired a flame blast towards him, but Issei spun mid-air using Rudra's wind manipulation abilities to suck up the flame and made it more potent with Agni's powers, creating a flame cyclone that's going down directly to the dog, he made contact and one of the heads and was cleanly cut off.
GAAAARRUUU. The Cerberus roared in pain, getting staggered from the attack, Koneko followed up with a massive punch to the other head sending the beast back.
Koneko did steady work of distracting the beast with a constant barrage of punches and kicks helping Issei focus his attacks on the beast.
Issei stopped his slashing fiesta and prepared a few BOOSTS for Rias and Akeno.
"Rias, Akeno-san!" Issei aimed Ebony and Ivory at them.
[BOOST, BOOST!]
[TRANSFER SHOT!] Ddraig announced as the gauntlet materialized on Issei's left arm.
Issei shot the two girls, and they immediately felt a huge boost in their demonic powers.
"Ahh~"
"Ahh~" Akeno and Rias moaned.
"Ara-ara, I feel so strong, come lightning!" Akeno waved her two fingers.
"So, this is Ise's power!" Rias blasted the beast with a p.o.d blast.
Cerberus was visibly weakened from the well-coordinated attacks from the ORC and Issei, Issei noticing the mutt's weakened state decided to end things.
"Koneko-chan, throw it up!" Issei ordered.
Koneko nodded and dashed to one of the beasts' hind legs.
"Fly." Koneko threw the beast in the air.
"Rias, Akeno-san, finish it!" Issei shot the giant dog with a charged laser from Kalina Ann and Kalina Ann 2.
"Blast off!" Rias fired a huge ball of p.o.d.
"Lightning!" Akeno fired her own supercharged lightning
The giant dog died and fell to the ground with its burnt body, and slowly began to disintegrate into ash.
"Good job you three!" Issei said proudly.
"Thanks, what a troublesome puppy." Said Rias in relief.
"Ara-ara, Issei-kun, I wonder what other uses your TRANSFER has~" Akeno seductively looked at Issei licking her two fingers.
Issei was flustered by the last remark
"H-Hey look, mom's kicking the giant spider's ass!" Issei pointed at the direction of Kalina distracting the three girls much to his relief.
-With Kalina and the Phantom-
Kalina is seen poking the Phantom with her twin pistols trying to gauge out the capabilities of the arachnid.
"Hmm, this one's pretty slow, let's see what happens when we make it mad!" Kalina smirked.
Kalina dashed towards the giant spider and slashed one of its legs, she did this for all the legs of the spider, managing to make it angry.
The Phantom's eyes changed in colour from its blue eyes to red, and its coiled tail now unfurled into a scorpion tail.
"That's the stuff." Kalina ran behind the spider's tail.
As Kalina was running towards the tail, she was suddenly stopped by the spider suddenly stomping slightly making her lose her balance but quickly recovered.
"GAH!" Kalina was hit by the tail knocking her by a good distance.
The spider leapt a surprising distance for its size, quickly catching up to Kalina.
Kalina managed to recover quickly and dodged in time before the spider could hit her with a body slam.
"Phew…Too close." Kalina dusted herself off.
Kalina dashed in again with the intent to finish the battle, she sees the spider's enraged state and is making a lot of big and predictable moves, with Mercy in both hands, she went up and slashed the tail clean off, the giant arachnid flailing around in pain, Kalina then charged her demonic energy and put it in Mercy and threw the scythe at straight down the middle of the spider cutting it in half as the scythe came back to her moments later.
"Jackpot! Just like old times, dad." Kalina smiled.
Kalina went to Issei and the others while riding her scythe like a witch on Halloween.
"That was incredible, Kalina-san!" Said Rias in admiration.
"Eh, it was no biggie, needed to swing this thing around after some time." Kalina smirked at Mercy.
"Ahhhh!" The voice of Asia was heard.
A second Cerberus came out of nowhere charging directly at Asia.
"Asia, no!" Issei used Trickster to shorten the distance as much as possible, but he was still too far.
*STAB*
"Not so fast." Kiba appeared casting Sword Birth, critically impaling the giant dog with multiple demonic swords.
Another familiar face jumped revealing Xenovia who dealt the finishing blow to Cerberus killing it instantly with Destruction's power.
"I've come to assist you." Xenovia arrived at the scene
"Yuto." Rias smiled
"Finally, took you two long enough for a dramatic entrance!" Issei chuckled.
Rias shifted her eyes to Kokabiel who had a shit-eating grin plastered on his face.
"Not too bad, but I wonder who that white-haired woman is." Kokabiel pondered.
"Take this!" Rias fired a huge BOOSTED ball of p.o.d that was easily ten times bigger than what she usually puts out.
Kokabiel easily deflects the attack with a wave of his hand, redirecting the attack towards the sky.
"Interesting. Rias Gremory's power would grow this much from the power of the Red Dragon Emperor. Fascinating. Very fascinating indeed." Kokabiel laughed on his own.
"But it's still weak. Kukukuku." Kokabiel continued to laugh.
"Ah…It is complete." Valper's voice was heard.
The four Excalibur fragments that were on the school's field started to exude an intense light that gave of holy energy.
"The four Excaliburs are now one!" Valper said joyously.
The holy light coming from the four holy swords were so intense, the devils were forced to cover their eyes to avoid getting blinded by it.
Moments passed and the light slowly faded away at its centre revealed a single sword that had a blue-white aura and has all the qualities of all four fragments it has.
"Now that the sword is complete, the light that it created also completed the spell on the ground is also complete, the town will collapse in twenty minutes." Valper snickered with a grin.
"And to stop it, you need to defeat me! Now, what will you do? Rias Gremory?!" Kokabiel stood up from his throne.
"This!" Rias fired a huge wave of p.o.d.
Kokabiel easily catches the attack with one hand, Akeno followed up with a lightning strike straight down the fallen angel, but Kokabiel caught both attacks.
"You fools!" Kokabiel mixed the lightning and p.o.d from Akeno and Rias and fired it at Rias.
As the big attack was about to hit Rias, Akeno stepped in tanking the hit.
"AHHH!" Akeno was badly hurt from the attack causing her to freefall to the ground.
Issei seeing this deployed his devil dragon wings and flew to Akeno.
"You alright?" Issei caught Akeno.
"Issei-kun?" Akeno opened her eyes.
"No time for that, you need to recover, just rest. Asia, heal her please." Issei gently let Akeno down.
"If you keep showing that manly side of yours, I might just fall for you~" Akeno said in a seductive tone.
"Heh, I'll show more than just a manly side." Issei retorted causing Akeno to blush.
Akeno's sexual fantasies again ran wild after Issei's last remark
"Guess it's my turn now! I just need to take this guy down in less than twenty minutes." Issei confidently said.
"Freed!" Kokabiel called out for the crazed priest.
"Yeah, boss?"
"Use the fused Excalibur in your fight, make things entertaining for me." Kokabiel ordered.
"You got it boss! Boss sure uses people recklessly, but I'm so honoured to use Excalibur-chan that's super strong and wonderful. Hehehe, time to dice some devils!" Freed put on a crazed smile while swinging the sword around.
Damn it, the boss fight's for later, I guess. Issei thought in disappointment.
"Rias Gremory's knight. If it's still good, let us destroy that Excalibur together." Xenovia requested.
"I thought you needed to bring them back?" Kiba asked.
"Yes, it should be fine if I collect the fragment of it that's acting as the "core" of it, and since Freed is using it, it's not considered a holy-sword, it's a sword of heresy is what that is." Xenovia explained.
Valper Galilei's laughter was heard.
"Valper Galilei. I am a survivor of the Holy Sword Project. No. I was killed by you! And I've continued living by being a devil for this exact day." Kiba calmly said, but his eyes were burning with hatred.
"Hoo, a survivor of that failed experiment, how unfortunate, to meet you in an eastern country like this? It must be fate. Kukuku." Valper laughed.
Kiba tightened his grip on his sword ready to strike the priest down.
"You see. I am obsessed with holy swords. I like them so much that they manifest out of my dreams. Maybe it was my fascination with the legend of Excalibur ever since I was a child. Then when I found out that I can't use Excalibur I despaired."
"Is this guy seriously monologuing?" Issei deadpanned.
"Because I couldn't handle it, I admired those who could. That sensation was so strong that I began an experiment to find people who could utilize them. Then it was finished. And It's because of you and others." Valper finished his monologue.
"What!? Finished? You disposed of us when you found out that we were failures!" Kiba scowled slowly but surely losing his cool.
"I realized that there was a prerequisite for wielding holy-swords. As a result, I investigated its capabilities using the numerical value of the "factors." Most of the test individuals possessed the "elements," but lacked the numerical value required to wield the Excalibur. Then I came to a decision. Is there a method to remove and collect the elements?" Valper pondered.
"I see. So, the thing that's put inside holy sword wielders when they get the blessing is…" Xenovia trailed off
"That's correct, holy sword-wielding girl, we extract the holy elements from those who have them and crystalize them." Valper pulled out a blue crystal.
The blue crystal radiated all sorts of holy aura.
"The study of holy-sword wielders has improved because of this. Despite this, the Church excommunicated me for heresy and confiscated my study findings. Looking at you, I can tell that the project was completed. Michael, that Michael. Is this the outcome of his making me appear like a criminal? We're talking about Angel, of course. He wouldn't kill the test subjects even if he took the elements out of them. Only one aspect would make him more human than I am." Valper laughed.
"… You killed my comrades and took out their elements just so you could create more wielders?!" Kiba asked in a voice filled with killing intent.
"Correct! This orb is from back then. I used three on Freed, and this is the last one." Valper presented the last orb.
"HAHAHAHAHA. Those small fries besides me died because their bodies couldn't adapt to the elements, making me special!" Freed cackled.
"…Valper Galilei. Just how many lives did you take for your greed and experiments…" Kiba slowly said in a cold yet angry tone.
"Hm. If you say that, then I will give this orb to you. My research has reached the stage where it is possible to mass-produce them in the right environment. First, I will destroy this town with Kokabiel. Next, I will gather the legendary holy swords stored around the world. Then I will mass-produce holy-sword wielders and start a war against Michael and the Vatican with the fused Excaliburs. I'm going to show the result of my research to those foolish Angels and their followers who have convicted me." Valper vented.
Valper threw the crystal as if he lost interest in it, the crystal slowly rolled towards Kiba's foot, he leaned down and picked it up in absolute silence. Kiba caressed the crystal being as gentle as he can.
"Everyone…" Kiba gently said while tears trickled down his cheeks.
A shallow light glowed from the crystal, eventually, it spread across the entire school, moving about and surely enough, it began to take shape, looking more human, the light condensed in one spot revealing a group of spectral children.
"E-Everyone?!" Kiba said in shock.
"So, they were Kiba's comrades." Issei spoke to himself.
"I've always…thought about it. Was it okay that I was the only one who survived...? There were those who had greater dreams than I had. Others had a stronger will to live than I did. Is it okay that I am the only one who lives in peace...?" Kiba conversed with the spirits.
One of the children who's a boy smiled and spoke to Kiba.
"Don't worry about us, at least you lived on." The boy said in a caring tone.
The spirits of the boys and girls started singing, Kiba soon sang along.
"The sacred song." Asia muttered
The song was the only thing that the children and Kiba had while going through the harsh experiments being conducted on them, it was the only sliver of hope they had and the lasting bit of motivation to keep living on.
The song was finished, Kiba was bawling his eyes out in silence.
Their bodies began to glow a bluish-white light and gathered at Kiba.
"We were never good alone."
"We didn't have the strength to wield the holy swords."
"But everything will be fine as long as we're together."
"Take us in."
"You have to accept the holy sword."
"Don't be afraid even if there is no God."
"No matter what, our hearts will always be…"
"One…" Kiba finished the sentence with a sad smile.
The spirits dispersed and went to Kiba seemingly giving the knight a blessing as he glowed a gentle blue.
"Yuto…" Rias smiled.
Asia clasped her hands together and cried tears of joy.
[Partner, that knight has reached it.] Ddraig said.
"Reached what?" Issei asked.
[Sacred gears evolve and adapt according to the users' feelings and uses it as the catalyst for its growth. But there's a different version of it. When the feelings and wishes of the wielder go through a big change. The sacred gear reaches it…]
Ddraig suddenly laughs in joy.
[He's reached Balance Breaker.] Ddraig confidently said.
