After finding the Quantum Mirror it had taken them a long time to find Rod's universe. Eventually though, they'd managed it and though they'd decided it was too risky to leave their respective Atlantis' Rodney had designed something weeks ago that worked as a communication device through the mirror.
A couple of signs with hastily scribbled instructions later and they were speaking through their laptops and gesturing frantically as they compared experiments, military data and their pasts.
Rod and Rodney rolled their eyes and John and John tired to outdo each other on Prime/Not Prime and grinned as they waxed poetic about flying.
Whether his John was hiding a serious interest in the physics of it or Rod's John was hiding his appreciation for the sheer adrenaline rush that his John seemed to get from it though Rodney didn't know.
Then Rodney and his John both froze as Rod's John yawned and leant against Rod's shoulder, resting his head in the crook of his neck tiredly.
Rod didn't appear to notice anything amiss though as he continued enthusiastically about the feasibility of mini-hyperdrives for the 'Jumpers.
Rodney flicked their mike off for a second. "They look good together," he murmured softly.
"Yeah," John responded, letting his own head to rest against Rodney's. "We do."
