Still don't own twilight. When I typed it I kept switching between First Person and Third person, and I tried to fix it, but you might find a few I's/My's mixed in.
Paul Can't Run
Bella opened the door of her truck, slid out of the cab, and slammed it shut. She could practically feel the rage rolling off of her as she stormed up the walk to a familiar house. She knew the entire pack was there, which was good, because after weeks of trying to talk to him, and him avoiding her, she was fucking done with waiting patiently. She didn't even knock as the door swung open, and she turned to look at each surprised face before focusing on one in particular. He got up and started to go towards the back door. "YOU STAY RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE LAHOTE!"
He froze, but didn't turn around, staring at the ground instead. "B-."
"NO! I'M TIRED OF YOU AVOIDING ME. YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED? I'VE SEEN SAM AND EMILY, JARED AND KIM, FUCK EVEN QUIL WITH CLAIRE. YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW?"
"I had hoped." Was his quiet response.
He turned as her angry footsteps announced her approach, and Bella shoved him back against the wall. "ARE YOU NOT EVEN GOING TO TALK TO ME ABOUT IT?"
"You deserv-."
Her loud growl cut him off. "NO, LET ME TELL YOU A THING OR TWO ABOUT WHAT I DESERVE. I DESERVE THE ABILITY TO MAKE MY OWN DECISIONS," he opened his mouth to talk, but she cut him off. "I DESERVE THE RIGHT TO BE WITH WHO I WANT TO BE!"
"You dese-."
She grabbed him by the chin and forced his eyes up to meet hers. "YOU ARE AN ASS! YOU'VE CALLED ME LEECH LOVER MORE TIMES THAN I CAN COUNT! YOU GET ANGRY WHEN SOMEONE ELSE TAKES THE LAST MUFFIN. YOU FIGHT WITH YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTER JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN."
He closed his eyes, and visibly deflated in front of her. "I'm fucked u-."
"I'm still not done!" She interrupted, but this time the rage was quelling as other emotions swirled in. "You always make sure I eat. You make sure that I'm not cold. I know it was you that's been leaving the hoodies in my truck. They smell like you. You always pay rapt attention when someone asks how my day went, or how I'm doing. You're being fucking stubborn because you think I deserve better than you."
"I know you deserve better than me." He whispered quietly.
"Look at me!" She demanded, and when his eyes opened, hers softened. She gently reached a hand up to touch his face. "Paul. There is no one better for me than you. You are perfect for me, we are perfect for each other, flaws and all. You fight with me when I'm trying to get into a funk, just to bring me out of it. You dare Quil and Embry to do something stupid when I'm sad, just to make me laugh. You let me be me. You don't want to change me. Edward loved me for what I was, a human with delicious smelling blood. Jacob loved me for what he wanted me to be, not who I was. You want me to be me."
"Bella. I've-."
"Paul, you used to sleep around. Trust me, I know that. I've heard stories about you from girls at school." There was a light blush on his cheeks. "But I think what I did was worse than that. I dated a vampire. I loved him, and I thought he loved me. He told me I was his mate and that vampires mate for life, so I fell, and I fell hard." He growled when she said Edward told her she was his mate. "Then he left me. He didn't give me a choice. I fell again, this time, it was out of love. It took me months to find myself. Jake helped, even if we wanted different things from each other."
"Bella. Stop." He whispered, and she shut her mouth. He looked contemplative. "The imprint… the imprint shows me that we can be together. When it happened I saw flashes of our future. We'd be great together. I know that. But… I'm not worthy of you."
"You're wrong." She muttered. "You are worthy. It's me-." She was cut off when a blistering kiss was pressed against her lips.
