~...Hey guys. Welp this is embarrassing...two months late... I'm sorry about this. But life happens ya know? BUT! Something did spur me on to finally get my ass in gear to post this chapter. And let me tell you why. Two weeks ago today I was looking up my emails and found a peculiar PM from a truly wonderful reader. They had alerted me to a crime committed by Mimi_yyza from Archive of Our Own. ...The bitch unlawfully STOLE MY STORY! MY LONG TERM HEARTS! They even had the audacity to keep the title the same. That's just begging to be reported! But not only that people, they even changed Dew Yukimi's name to LAUREN! I found the bitch easy enough and come to find out they also stole from another author from Fanfiction their One Piece work! But not only that, my friends, they changed the OC's name to LAUREN! ...You know, I'm starting to think that's their real name. What a fake ass bitch. Anyway, I made a scathing comment at the bottom of the stolen work, and let me tell ya. I. RIPPED. Them. A. New. One! And hot DAMN, it was fucking HILARIOUS two days later I find out they deleted my comment and made it so that no one could comment on there. TOO LATE BITCH ASS! A reader who was reading that fic saw my comment and told me they would go read from the true source on here. Unfortunately at the time, I didn't know how to report someone since I'd never done that before. But just like that kind reader, I let the true author know what happened and who stole it and what site they were on. And thank God, at some point this last week, the stolen story was either taken down by the higher ups or the bitch deleted it in fear of being reported again, and so soon after Long Term Hearts was reported at that. When I looked the bitch up again today to check in on them...there was nothing on their page~~~! I never felt more delight from seeing someone get fucked over by others. BUT IT'S RIGHTFULLY SO!

It's been two weeks and I'm still PISSED! But thanks to this kind reader who told me they love LTH and reported that Mimi_yyza bitch, my beloved fic was saved and taken down by the higher ups on AO3. I won't put their name on here in case the bitch wanted to harass the one who reported them. So people please make sure what you read is actually from that author and is not a stolen work! I was HURT.

But yeah FUCK YOU Mimi_yyza AND GO TO FUCKING HELL! DROP! DEAD! ...I feel so much better y'all lol. And once again Kind Reader, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. As a show of gratitude and just how thankful I am, I'm gonna base someone in a much later chapter after you. Thank you, and enjoy the chapter!

I have more to say but I'll save it for the bottom section.

Long Term Hearts

Chapter 15: Saving Pirate Luffy

**********^.^**********

Law sat there in his bed looking over the sleeping kitsune lying next to him. Every now and then an ear would twitch in the slightest manner. It was the same story with her tails, curling inward in stiff, jerky movements. Minutes before Law had been asleep when he woke up from Yukimi shaking in her sleep, nightmares ravishing her tired mind once again. It seemed she had calmed down for the moment though. This has been going on every night for the past week. After the first night, he had suggested taking sleeping pills to help her stay asleep. It didn't really work very well. Sure, it lessened the number of times Yukimi woke up, but the near sleep deprived kitsune was still exhausted from the constant nightmares.

Thankfully this latest nightmare didn't send Yukimi practically flying off the bed with the sheets like the first few times. After Yukimi had narrowly missed ramming her skull into the corner of his other bedside table, Law started keeping his arm wrapped around Yukimi's waist to prevent her from moving too much. With Law sleeping up against her it had solved many of the problems that had occurred in the night. She was more relaxed in her sleep, knowing he was there.

Law huffed slightly when the kitsune of his current thoughts inched closer to him, seeking his warmth. He brushed aside a few stray strands that had fallen over her face in her sleep before he pulled up the comforter around her. It was nearly dawn and he couldn't stay in bed much longer, no matter how nice it was to attempt to sleep in with her. Law rubbed his own dark circles. Those weren't new, practically permanent due to his late night plan binges. Law carefully slid out of bed to go about his morning routine.

Something else was nagging at the back of his mind. The papers lately have been going on nonstop about Portgas D. Ace's execution that was happening later that day. It would be a cold day in hell if Whitebeard and his sons didn't show up at Marineford to save Fire Fist. Law planned to take a few of his men with him to go watch the public broadcast of the no doubt historic event.

Law ran a hand towel over his face, drying off the last of the shaving cream. He thought of the bloodbath that would ensue between overly self righteous Navy soldiers, and powerful pirate crews Law knew without a doubt Whitebeard will have come to his aid. He wondered what Yukimi would think about all of this.

Over the week he kept the papers away from her attention since it didn't have anything regarding the Straw Hats. She has asked, but since there wasn't any new information, the kitsune instead focused on recovering and familiarizing herself with his sub. Neither knew how long she would be staying. But if there was one thing Law was sure of, it was that as soon as Yukimi catches wind of any of her friends, she would run to them. 'Makes sense really, after all, Yukimi-ya's gone through that day,' Law thought grimly. He had just gotten the ninja kitsune back in his life and he was not too keen on letting her waltz back out in the world without him. Especially since that pink bastard would've definitely by now have seen her in the papers, placing her with the Straw Hats near Ennis Lobby.

After the incident revolving around him, Straw Hat, Eustass Kid, and the Celestial Dragons, the papers only talked about the upcoming execution of Fire Fist. It was like the government only wanted the people to focus on the execution. But why, was the major question that kept him wondering over the week. Sure, Portgas was the Second Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, but surely there was a missing piece to the puzzle. A massive piece.

A whimper was heard back in his bedroom. Yukimi's nightmares were at it again.

Law walked over to Yukimi to find her thrashing in the bed. Her face was scrunched up with her ears pinned back in her white hair. Her breathing was fast, tears streaking down her cheeks as she tried to claw at her throat. Law immediately grabbed her wrists and pinned them on either side of her head so she couldn't harm herself. "Yukimi-ya, wake up!" Law called gently, coaxing her out of the terror she was mentally trapped in. "You're safe here with me. It's time to wake up."

It took a minute before her breathing slowed down a little, hiccuping in her half awake state. Yukimi blinked through her tears up at Law hovering over her. "L-Law...?" she whimpered.

Law's lips were in a fine line at the sight of his friend like this. Eyes dilated in lingering fear, cheeks wet from her tears and her entire body still trembling under his grasp. "Hey, you back? Do you know where you are?" Yukimi hesitantly nodded but didn't answer. Law didn't like how she didn't reply. "Where are we?" he tried again.

Yukimi swallowed before glancing around, finally recognizing Law's room. She could feel the comfortable bed beneath her and the sheets tangled around her legs from her thrashing. "...In the sub... We're in your room," Yukimi finally managed out after a long minute.

Law nodded at her response, "Good." He stood up letting go of her wrists. He grabbed the cup of water they started leaving on her side table and handed it to her. "Here."

Yukimi sat up as she took the cup and quickly downed the water. Lowering the empty cup to her lap, Yukimi stared at the droplets still inside the glass. She was tired of waking up like this. Having Law remind her she was safe and not in danger of World Nobles or Warlords. Yukimi touched her throat, recalling the heavy, suffocating weight of the explosive collar. Yukimi jumped in her seat when Law gently grabbed her wrist again, pulling it away from her neck. It was her mending arm. Thankfully it wasn't sore from her thrashing minutes before.

Law sat on the edge of the bed next to her covered legs as he pushed her arm to her lap. He reached up with his other hand and tilted her chin up so he could look at her throat. Yukimi's skin was slightly red from her nails but didn't breakthrough. "You're getting better at least. You didn't scream this time," Law tried to offer some positivity to her situation.

"Any improvement is better, no matter how small," Yukimi muttered as she put the cup back on the table. Yukimi nudged Law off the bed so she could get up.

"And your arm?" Law asked as Yukimi stopped halfway through the bathroom door. "I know you'd prefer to keep using your medical ninjutsu to heal it faster, but at least give it a break today." Law crossed his arms as he continued, "I know I'm the least knowledgeable on chakra in this room, believe me. But I recall you mentioning just the other day that you, yourself are not a master at medical ninjutsu. What if there was a side effect to using it so much after depleting your reserves last week?"

Yukimi leaned against the doorframe, back still facing the surgeon behind her. 'Not to mention how tired I am from lack of sleep... No wonder my arm isn't back to normal by now.' Yukimi turned her head slightly towards him, "Alright, I won't use any chakra today. Sound like a deal, Doc?"

Law walked up to her and rested his elbow between her ears, getting a slight grunt from the kitsune as he leaned on her a little. "Deal. Besides, I'm starting to get tired of dealing with a moping fox on my ship. Lighten up at some point would ya, Yukimi-ya? You're kinda dull. I might just kick you out at this rate," Law grinned down at her with a side look, trying to provoke her. It was a borderline mean grin.

"If you think I'm so boring, a tag to your treasure room sounds very appealing to me, Doc. Not to mention all the other neat stuff I've heard is in there. Hm, maybe it'll even crack the hull and flood your yellow boat. How does that sound, my doctor?" Yukimi shot back with an equally mean grin, fangs glistening in the early morning light. Her voice even had a surgery sweet tone in her returned taunt.

Law let out a breathy chuckle as he got off her. "That's more like it, Yukimi-ya." Law walked over to his dresser to get his clothes. "I'll see you in the galley," he said opening a drawer.

Yukimi rolled her eyes but closed the door behind her, ending the conversation. 'He always did know how to get my attention,' Yukimi mused.

Once dressed Law went up to the galley, finding his men filtering in. He walked over to his usual spot where his closest friends were just sitting down.

Penguin quickly got up and came back with a second plate, handing it over to his captain. "How's Yukimi, Captain?"

Law half shook his head as he picked up his fork. "She's doing alright for someone who's gone through a lot in so little time. Yukimi-ya at least got a little more sleep last night."

Penguin and Shachi glanced at each other. They knew something had happened after the Straw Hat had apparently left the Polar Tang the other day, making Law go after her. The only thing the two pieced together over that afternoon, was that the two long time friends had come back with varying degrees of irritation. Yukimi returned more tired and weak from whatever had happened. The kitsune didn't look hurt, just tired. Shachi pulled out the morning edition of the News Coo paper and handed it over to Law. "Here's the paper, Captain. As promised, no one's read it yet."

Law nodded around a mouthful in thanks, taking and opening the rolled up paper. As he did this, Yukimi walked in.

Yukimi plopped down next to Law and just leaned against his side, yawning. She was tired. Yukimi rubbed her eyes as Law flipped through the paper. "Anything yet?" She felt him shake his head, making her ears lower.

"I'll let you know as soon as something comes up, Yukimi-ya."

Yukimi nodded against his shoulder as Alex came up to their table. "Good mornin' Yukimi! Hope yeh slept well," Alex greeted her as he set her plate down in front of her.

Yukimi shrugged as she pulled the plate of eggs closer. "As well as can be, Alex."

"Things will get better, I'm sure it will," Alex said patting her shoulder before heading back to the kitchen.

Yukimi straightened up in her seat to eat. As she ate her breakfast, she half listened to everyone talk. That is until Shachi mentioned something. Her ears pricked forward to him as she turned her attention to the redhead. "What's going on?"

Shachi paused in mid rant at Yukimi's inquiry. "Marineford? Yeah, I can't believe it's actually happening. I mean, what is the Navy thinking? Do they think they'll get away with this scot free?"

Yukimi put down her fork in her sudden confusion. "Wait wait, what? What's going on with the Marines now?" Yukimi glanced around the others before turning to Law when he handed over the paper. Yukimi pushed her plate away to look at the paper closer. The kitsune felt her blood run cold. "What is this...!? When...when was he...!?" Yukimi hissed out.

Law's brow raised from her shocked tone. Maybe he should have at least mentioned what was going on over the week. "When Fire Fist-ya was captured? A while back apparently," Law shrugged as Yukimi whipped her head in his direction, worry etched across her features. "They plan to execute him at three o'clock today. Whitebeard won't stand for one of his sons getting killed, so there will definitely be a war."

"Ace can't die! He can't! Luffy-!" Yukimi stopped short as she suddenly shot up. If her seat wasn't bolted down to the floor, it would have fallen over.

Law put his hand on her shoulder to keep her from doing anything rash. "Calm down Yukimi-ya. What about Straw Hat-ya?"

Yukimi swallowed as she allowed him to pull her back into her seat. Yukimi looked at everyone at the table before starting. "Luffy doesn't talk about his family very much. We only just recently ran into his grandfather at Water 7 after Enies Lobby due to him being ordered to apprehend us. His grandfather is Monkey D. Garp, the Navy Hero."

"What!?"

Yukimi nodded with a wary smirk. They all had the exact same reaction when Luffy called the big old marine Grandpa. "Not only that, but Luffy has an older brother. That would be Ace himself," she said making the others gawk even more at her in shock.

Law sat in silence beside the kitsune as she was bombarded with questions from his men. So Straw Hat has some pretty infamous family members. He may not show it like the others, but he was surprised by the kid's family tree. It made him wonder who his parents could be and whether if they were just as infamous or not.

Yukimi was almost tempted to lay it on them about Monkey D. Dragon. But she knew they would probably pass out from shell shock alone. As amusing as that would be, Yukimi didn't have the time nor luxury for that. She turned to Law, already knowing what his answer will be, but she didn't care. Yukimi had to do something for her absent captain. "I have to go Law. I know the Whitebeard Pirates have this, but they can always use a silent shinobi in the shadows."

Law immediately stiffened at her words. "What?!" Law hissed back between gritted teeth. "Whitebeard won't want some unknown pirate running amok among his men who could get in the way of Fire Fist-ya's rescue. Not to mention the Seven Warlords of the Sea will be among the marines! Like hell I'm letting you anywhere near Doflamingo! Don't you realize that bastard's going to be there!?" Law almost shouted at the end. The mere thought of Yukimi recklessly heading into that war, not to mention she's still in recovery, was insane. It was suicidal. As soon as that feathered bastard spotted her, Doflamingo would make a beeline to grab her. Never mind the war.

Yukimi didn't flinch from Law's angry tone this time. She deliberately stood back up, glare matching his. "Course I know that pink chicken is there. Think I'm a fucking idiot?!" Yukimi growled back. For once the kitsune was at Law's eye level while standing. "Don't worry, Doc. Like I said before, I'm no pushover at what I do best."

Law's eyes widened at her words. At that moment all he could see was Yukimi surrounded by Doflamingo and the Family in a snowy landscape. Yukimi took that moment and vanished from his and everyone else's eyes.

At some point during their argument, the rest of the Hearts in the galley had tuned in, curious about what was going on. When the Straw Hat ninja vanished before their very eyes, everyone started frantically looking around for her in confusion.

Law quickly stood up when Yukimi vanished. "Dammit, Yukimi-ya!"

Penguin turned back to his captain in alarm. "What just happened Captain?!"

Law opened up a Room and began searching for her presence. "She used a technique called the Body Flicker Jutsu. It allows her to teleport short distances faster than the naked eye can track." Law grew his Room until it encompassed the ship before finding her just outside on the deck, about to jump to the shore. "No you don't!" he growled out. The surgeon flicked his wrist, sensing Yukimi being shambled into his room while the equipment that had been on her popped onto the table next to him. "Take her things to the weapons room," Law said before teleporting himself to the entrance of his bedroom.

As soon as he appeared, Yukimi yanked the door open, fuming at the sight of Law. "Dammit Law! I don't have time for this! And where the hell's my stuff?!"

"Safe, just like how you're gonna be. Did you really think I would allow you to leave? Think again! You're staying right here and out of trouble," Law said as Yukimi marched over to him, glaring up at him.

"Out of-!? Oh for fuck's sake Law! You can't keep me here! Doctor or not, this situation has got nothing to do with you!" Yukimi rebuked jabbing her finger against his chest.

Before she could say or do more, Law growled in frustration and grabbed her wrist firmly. He then pulled her back into his room. "Don't tempt me Yukimi-ya! I will cut you to pieces to keep you out of trouble!"

"What the fuck!?" Yukimi cried out stunned by the pirate's words and actions. She was too startled to attempt to get out of his grasp before Law practically threw her onto the bed. Yukimi scrambled to sit up in time to see Law was already back at his door, slamming it shut. Not a moment later, her sensitive ears caught the ominous sound of the lock clicking shut.

*^.^*

The plaza was crowded. Filled to the brim with townsfolk, reporters, marines and what have you. All there before three large screens displaying the warzone known as Marineford. All witnessing history being made over at the frozen bay of Marine Headquarters.

Scattered around the area were the Supernovas and their crews. Law and his men were on a hill nearby, watching the screens with distaste. Law glared at the dark screens as the crowds below erupted in agitation at the abrupt disconnection of the live feed. One moment they were watching those huge men who looked identical to the Warlord Bartholomew Kuma, the next it all went dark save for one. Which oddly had a hastily written message on it. Then a weird ass clown with a big nose was quite clearly awkwardly standing there before he realized what was happening behind him on the Moby Dick. Whitebeard had been stabbed by his own ally. It was then that live feed was cut off by a sudden wave of ice. Now there was absolutely nothing left to see. It was quite definite that the Navy was going to jump the schedule and kill Portgas D. Ace early and didn't want the world to see the unspeakable acts they were about to unleash.

"Damn, that was a lot of Pacifistas," Law muttered under his breath. Law was at least glad he locked Yukimi away on his ship. For one, besides all the Navy men in the area, bounty hunters and other pirate crews were hidden in plain sight. Earlier Law caught the sight of the Kid Pirates and Eustass Kid up on a balcony. Talk about front row seats to a shit show.

Law's eyes narrowed as he recalled where he last saw Monkey D. Luffy onscreen. Yukimi would've immediately abandoned his side to go off and fight for her captain in that suicidal war. He made the right call, keeping her locked away, lock and key. He knew that. So why did he feel bad? At least a little in retrospect. Law shifted from where he stood, leaning on one leg. No, he made the right call. On one of the screens earlier, it showed Straw Hat and Emporio Ivankov standing before the real Warlord Bartholomew Kuma and Donquixote Doflamingo. Law's lips pressed into a fine line. If she had been there, at any given point, whether or not she made it to Straw Hat's side, once Doflamingo spotted Yukimi, that would be the end of it. Doflamingo would have solely gone after her, forgetting the war raging around him.

Law didn't like; in fact, he despised, loathed the inclination, of Doflamingo's intentions towards his friend. It was uncomfortable to think about, disgusted at that. It made him want to dismember the pink chicken, as Yukimi so pleasantly nicknamed the bastard, to the last atom as painfully as humanly possible and then some. Law was too young, albeit not truly innocent back then, to understand Cora's warning to Yukimi. Now he knew what that bastard would do if he ever snagged his feisty, mischievous, caring friend. Yukimi would truly suffer in his entangling web like a little cabbage butterfly struggling to escape a ravenous giant huntsman spider.

"Captain? What should we do?"

Law unclinched his white knuckled grip from Kikoku. His cursed blade hummed under his loosened fingers from his growing ire. He turned to Penguin who stood in front of him. His first mate and close friend looked ready for anything he may say. He looked back to the darkened screen. "Whitebeard betraying his allies? What a load of crap. The man's a living legend, 'cuz all us pirates respect him," Law said turning away from the dark screens. His men immediately followed after him as he headed back in the direction of the Polar Tang. "Let's set sail Bepo. You with us Jean Bart?"

Jean Bart looked back at Trafalgar Law as the man didn't even glance back at him. He may not have known the younger man for very long, but he knew from the way Trafalgar walked, that he had something in mind and he was going to do it. "Aye, Captain."

Law inclined his head slightly as he readjusted his nodachi. Good, now he just needed to keep a certain someone from freaking out once he broke the news to her.

*^.^*

"He's where!?" Yukimi gasped out. She couldn't believe it! Luffy was at Marineford!? How?! Was he there this whole time?! Yukimi stepped closer to Law. He had just opened the previously locked door she had been trying to open and told her what had been shown on the large viewing screens back in town. "Why are you telling me this? Are we heading to Marineford?" she asked urgently.

Law nodded, "Yeah. And when we get there, you have to stay with me. No ifs, ands, or buts about it, Yukimi-ya. I'm telling you this now so you'll understand you can't run off and join the fight. You are in recovery. You can't use your chakra all that well at the moment, and you would be a sitting duck out there, begging to be shot by some damned marine."

Yukimi gripped her cast with her other hand. The last thing she wanted was to be locked up again and not be able to do a thing to help. Her brows furrowed as she looked back at Law. "I promise to stay with you, Law."

"Alright." Law stepped back from the doorway to let her out. "We're about to submerge and head out. It'll take a little while before we get there," Law said as Yukimi followed after him.

"Right," Yukimi nodded, a new determined look was about her. Ears pricked forward attentively as her tails swished about with barely concealed impatience. "And since we're heading to a war, can I have my weapons back now?"

Law shifted his nodachi to a more comfortable angle as he inclined his head to the side. "Go find Shachi, and tell him I said you can have your equipment back. I'll meet you in the control deck." Not needing any more incentive Yukimi quickly jogged off as Law headed in the other direction.

Soon Law stepped into the control deck as Jean Bart sounded off the alarms for submersion. He winced at the thought of Yukimi hearing that jarring noise. He should've warned her about that, oh well. "How fast can you get us there Jean Bart? The sooner the better," Law asked the large former captain at the helm as the man took a seat behind the metal wheel.

Jean Bart quickly went through the controls as the submarine submerged beneath the Grand Line's surface. He turned on the headlights outside to illuminate his view. "A little less than an hour, Captain."

Law nodded as he took his own seat at his Captain's chair near the back where he had a view of the room and large front porthole. He briefly glanced up at the red blaring warning light above the entrance near him. The alarm had stopped when they fully went under. That was when Yukimi walked in with her confiscated equipment back on. She was looking irritable while rubbing her ears.

"Gee thanks Doc, I really appreciated the warning," the kitsune grunted out as she stood next to him. Her ears were pinned back, due to her mood and undoubtedly from some ringing.

"Forgot," Law shrugged his shoulders slightly as he apologized lamely. Yukimi only narrowed her eyes at him before turning that heated look to the front.

"You'll get used to them Yukimi. I did," Bepo piped up from a panel near Jean Bart.

"Guess so," she grumbled halfheartedly.

"Ah, I'm sorry!"

Yukimi stared at the mink confused when Penguin and Shachi came in. "What are you apologizing for now, Bepo?" Shachi asked exasperated, making the polar bear apologize again, in turn making the redhead roll his eyes behind his shades.

"Everything's ready to go, Captain," Penguin reported ignoring his friends.

"Good," Law nodded. He crossed a leg over his knee as he got comfortable, Kikoku resting against his shoulder. He looked over to Yukimi observing her. The kitsune's body was tense like a coiled spring, ready to burst. "Yukimi-ya, remember our deal?"

Yukimi didn't look back at him, she only shifted on her feet. "No chakra."

Law watched her for a minute before closing his eyes. "Unless I say so, no chakra."

Penguin and Shachi looked at each other as the ninja nodded at the man's words. They had seen Yukimi use that glowing green medical move before a few times and had even asked about it. When she explained what she was doing, they were amazed. Though they hadn't gotten around to asking more about it. Perhaps now would be a good time?

Law tilted his head against the handle of Kikoku, opening an eye to look back at Yukimi fiddling with the rim of her hoodie again. "Yukimi-ya, why don't you play us a song to pass the time?"

Or maybe not.

Yukimi looked over at him surprised. "...What do you want to hear?" Law merely smirked at her before closing his eye again, smirk still in place. Yukimi's face softened at his expression. She knew what he wanted to hear. So the kitsune brought out her ocarina from under her shirt collar to her sound of a soft melody floated from the holes of the little white ocarina. The men and mink in the room settled where they were, already swept away by the first notes. The soft low and high sharp music notes in their beautifully contrasting rhythm lulled the men into an easy trance of calm. Ironically before the devastating war torn storm, they're fast approaching. The beautiful calm before the wretched storm, one would say. The kitsune playing the trance like music swayed gently where she stood, her tails following suit to her own movement. Almost like a metronome, albeit slower.

Law was watching Yukimi under a cracked eye again as she played her lake guardian's song. There was good reason as to why he wanted Yukimi to play it. It was simply to help distract her from any foreboding and worrisome thoughts on the state of the war, Fire Fist-ya and Straw Hat-ya. Not to mention it would help calm any extra unnecessary energy from his men. Best to save that pent up energy once they're there than to waste it while stuck underwater for the duration of the trip. And so what if he enjoyed listening to her music? That wasn't the reason. Law's thoughts drifted back to the other day. The evening when he showed Yukimi the kunai and letter he kept after all these years. After she had returned from putting the dishes away, he asked what the kiss was for. The kitsune merely shrugged at his question, stating it was an old custom from the kitsune culture. A chaste kiss between friends is meant as a show of gratitude.

Time went on like that. Yukimi played and played for the men as the Polar Tang swam its course to the destruction of Marineford and death. But it all came to an end as it had allowed time to slip by too quickly. Yukimi was just ending her song for the umpteenth time when the submarine suddenly swerved to the side to dodge sinking ship debris. Yukimi stumbled into the side of Law's chair, dropping her ocarina to hang at her neck. "What was that!?"

"Captain! There's ice covering the surface! I can't spot any openings!" Bepo announced nervously.

"Well find one! We don't have a lot of time, Bepo," Law stated plainly as he nudged out Kikoku. He was beginning to feel a bit of impatience himself now that they were underneath the warzone.

After looking around both through the large viewing porthole and scanners, Bepo perked up. "Captain! Found a spot where the ice doesn't reach!"

Law let his cursed blade slide back into its sheath. "Then surface." At Law's command, the Polar Tang began to surface as the alarm went off again announcing their ascension.

Yukimi leaned against his chair for balance as she covered her ears with a grimace. The dull ache of constant ringing was nothing compared to what was happening up on the surface, she knew that. So Yukimi didn't complain as the alarm stopped as the yellow submarine burst forth from the ocean's depths, surprising the outside pirates nearby.

As soon as the sub stopped bobbing haphazardly Yukimi quickly ran out of the control deck, immediately followed by Law, Bepo, and Jean Bart. Penguin and Shachi were left to man the room. As soon as they made it outside, they were assaulted by the horrific sight of the catastrophic scene before them. Bodies of pirates and marines alike lay strewn about as far as the eye can see. In the far distance, they could make out two different areas showcasing separate massive battles. One with shockwaves and the other magma.

Yukimi nearly slammed into the rail from her sprint from the door, panting lightly as the adrenaline started pumping through her veins at the sight, knowing her friend and captain could be anywhere in that deadly mass. A hand landed on her shoulder as Law stepped next to her.

"Remember Yukimi-ya, no running off without me," he reminded, getting a hesitant nod from her. It took a moment before he spotted something in the air near his ship. It was that weird ass clown, and he was carrying the unconscious body of the Warlord Jinbe, who was, in turn, holding an injured Monkey D. Luffy. "Hey!" Law called out catching Buggy's attention along with Yukimi's. "Hand over Straw Hat-ya!"

"Huh?" Buggy glared down at the odd glaringly yellow submarine where it appeared out of nowhere from the sea. He didn't like the tone the other man used when he called out to him. "I don't take orders from you, pal. And besides, what the hell do you want with him anyway, you weirdo? Actually who the hell are you!?"

Yukimi gasped when she recognized Buggy up in the air. She idly wondered why he was here of all places. But that stray thought vanished when she spotted Luffy up there with him, in a very real grave state.

"Straw Hat-ya maybe my enemy someday, but I'll let the fates decide that one. Either way, it'll be a waste to let him die here," Law said ignoring Yukimi's dirty look. "Hand him over so we can escape! He'll die without my help."

"Whaaat?!"

"Trust me, I'm a doctor!"

"A doctor?! My ass!" Buggy immediately fired back not believing Law's words. "What kind of doctor carries a giant sword?! And the whole submarine thing is kinda fishy too! What's your deal?!"

"That damn clown! When's he gonna get his fricking head straight!" Yukimi almost shouted in agitation. Yukimi hopped onto the rail, raising a fist at the circus pirate. "Buggy you fucking idiot! Gimme my captain back now or he'll die because of you!"

"Did you say something about my nose!?" Buggy spat back angrily.

Law quickly grabbed Yukimi by her waist and yanked her off the rail as a cannonball landed near the Polar Tang. "Dammit, I don't need you going overboard right now, Yukimi-ya!" Yukimi didn't struggle in his grip but stilled when her ears swerved to the side, hearing a marine go off about Luffy escaping by submarine. Law didn't catch it as clearly as Yukimi obviously did, but her reaction spurned him on anxiously. He turned his attention back to the floating clown. "Stop screwing around! Hand him over!"

"What's in it for me? What's in it for you?!" Buggy yelled back just as a pair of cannons fired up at him. In a panic Buggy quickly scrambled out of the paths of the flying iron balls.

"Captain! Navy battleships approaching from the stern!" Penguin, who at that point came outside, quickly reported as the battleships opened fire on them. The waves around them churned dangerously as the cannonballs missed their target.

Law glanced back spotting the ships behind his sub before whipping back to that damn clown. "Dammit! There's no time! We gotta escape now!" Law shouted beginning to feel desperate.

"Captain! We're almost within their firing range!"

"Curses Bepo! Do something!" Jean Bart called over to the mink on the top deck, who was overlooking the approaching ships.

"C'mon!" Bepo went off. "You just joined the crew and you're already ordering me around?!"

"Fucking hell! They've got us surrounded!" Yukimi grimaced as Law's grip tightened around her in response. She reached back into her weapon bag and pulled out her scroll.

"All cannons! Fire at once! Sink them!" A Navy man commanded from a ship, urging all the weapons to aim at the yellow submarine.

"Sorry Law!" Yukimi whipped open her scroll, catching Law's attention.

"FIRE!" All marine cannons opened fire right as the ocean suddenly became wild with tremors. Every single cannonball missed the Polar Tang, some even became friendly fire.

"OH GREAT! NOW WHAT!?" Bepo screamed as the submarine rocked dangerously against the uncontrollable waves.

Yukimi lost her balance and fell back into Law where he ended up taking a knee to the deck to brace against the onslaught. "What's going on!?" Yukimi shouted as she gripped Law's hoodie, suddenly scared of what was happening. The Polar Tang was tossed around the churning ocean like a rubber ducky, causing everyone on board to either lose their balance or brace harshly against something sturdy. Yukimi looked at the sky. "The sky..! Law the sky's splitting!" she gasped out as her pupils constricted at the frightening sight above.

Law looked up at the sky and then back to the ocean surface surrounding them. Not only was it chopped up, but diced as well! Tilting at that! It was true chaos. All the surrounding pirate and Navy battleships were either tossed around or subsequently sunk by powerful rogue waves that appeared out of nowhere. All taking more and more lives.

Finally, after a while, the seaquakes subsided. Yukimi looked up from Law's shoulder to the waves calming down. "Is it over...?"

Law carefully guided them to their feet. "For the moment..." he muttered under his breath. He looked back up at the floating clown, holding Jinbe and Straw Hat.

At that point a sudden beam of very familiar light made itself known by shooting a hole in Buggy's stolen Navy coat collar, scaring the shit out of him. A mile away the rest of the beam of light collided with a pirate ship, causing it to explode into a floating ball of fire. There, on a ship's mast was Admiral Kizaru, smiling away at them like he had all the time in the world to apprehend them all. "'Xcuse me friend, but why don't you come on down here?"

"No! Not yoouuuu~!" cried Buggy at the sight of the scary Admiral.

"Drop them now, you idiot!" Law yelled.

"You know what!? Fine! I don't need this right now! I've done enough! They're probably gonna die anyway!" Buggy shouted back as he threw the two pirates over to them.

"Here they come Jean Bart!" Bepo said just before Jinbe and Luffy landed in the large man's open arms. Bepo gave him two thumbs up, "Woah nice catch!"

"Alright now submerge!" Law commanded, turning toward the open entrance. Law shifted his grip on Yukimi to her wrist, who was uncharacteristically quiet. He looked back at her ready to order her back inside when he noticed her gritted teeth and ears shoved forward.

"Kizaru...!" she growled under her breath.

Kizaru meanwhile merely pointed his glowing finger toward the sub. "Don't think I've forgotten what happened on Sabaody. Time to pay..."

"Damn!" Law cursed at the sight of the Admiral preparing to attack his submarine at point blank.

That was when Yukimi yanked her wrist free and reopened her scroll to Ace's attack. "You'll pay for what you did back at Sabaody, ya shitty bastard! Take a hit from Ace himself!" Yukimi stretched her scroll and aimed it right at the tall man, letting rip a large fist of scorching red hot fire up at him.

Kizaru's eyes widened in surprise as he dodged out of the way, landing on another mast on the same ship. He looked back to the first mast as it was quickly consumed by the familiar flames. Fire, he had just witnessed being put out for good just earlier. "Hmm? How strange. I know we already killed off Portgas, so what was that?" Kizaru wondered aloud as he looked back to the source of the fire attack. "Oh! Well look who we have here!" the Admiral smirked at the sight of none other than Dew Yukimi. "Why if it isn't White Fox Ninja!"

"There's more where that came from!" Yukimi yelled opening her scroll further out. She wanted to roast the bastard with lightning next. And she won't miss this time!

"Dammit, Yukimi-ya!" Law said under his breath as he stepped next to her, ready to counterattack the marine. "You should've headed back inside!"

Yukimi glanced at him before putting her attention back on the danger in front of them. "I won't allow him our open backs!" Yukimi hissed.

Kizaru lifted his finger again as light gathered around him once more. "It doesn't really matter. You're still going to die," he stated calmly.

That was when Marineford came to a shrieking halt due to one young man's desperate plea. "YOU'VE DONE ENOUGH!" Silence rang supreme in the next immediate moments after that cry.

"Huh?" Kizaru paused his attack, letting it fade.

Law stood there stunned next to Yukimi, confused as to who that was that had frozen the war at that moment. Law blinked when he noticed Yukimi lower her arm while her other hand lifted to the front of her face in shock. And was that recognition?

"That's...that was Coby's voice...! He's here...?!" she whispered in shock. He sounded so desperate! In agony! She turned toward the source of his voice. It was in the direction of where that large battle with magma was occurring earlier.

"There's no point in fighting anymore! There's no point in killing anymore! It's over! We won! We can end this! These are human lives! THIS IS WRONG! They have families and children! They are our friends and we're watching them DIE! We killed Ace. Whitebeard is dead; the pirates don't have the will to fight anymore! What are we trying to prove?! What's the point!? There are wounded men out there! We can save them if we stopped fighting! But no! We're just making more victims, more casualties! Those marines have nothing to be proud of! WHY ARE THEY DYING!?WHAT ARE WE EVEN FIGHTING FOOOOR!?"

Law stood there still as the whole atmosphere sat in shaking silence. Shaking silence, and tense red hot anger. He could feel it. Law quickly turned to Bepo who had the boy in his arms. "Inside quick! I'll be right behind!"

"Roger!" Bepo replied as Jean Bart had already headed inside with the wounded Warlord. Penguin went right after him.

Noticing the renewed scramble, Kizaru prepared a new attack, "I don't think so."

His light quickly drew Yukimi's attention back to him as Law went to open up Room. That was when a gun was loaded. "Put your hands up, now," a man sitting on another mast of the ship Kizaru stood on demanded.

"Oh well, I'll be! Benn Beckman!" Kizaru slowly raised his hands up in surrender.

Yukimi glanced between the men before the color of red caught her eye. "No way! That's Shanks's ship!" Yukimi gasped at the sight of the Red Force sailing among the other ships. It was huge! It towered over the other pirate and Navy battleships like a floating fortress compared to the damaged sea vessels around it.

Law was in awe as well as the rest. But now he had two in critical condition that needed an operation. His men were already prepping them. Law turned back to Yukimi, pushing her toward the entrance. "Get inside Yukimi-ya. See if you can assist the others with your medical ninjutsu."

Yukimi's eyes widen at his words. She looked back at the Admiral then Marineford, to finally where Red Hair Shanks was most likely at, where Coby's voice had come from. There was nothing more she could do here. The ninja faced Law again. "You got it, Doc!" she nodded. Yukimi then vanished from his view, on her way to aid her friend. By the time she arrived at the operating theater below deck, the Warlord and Luffy were already set and waiting. Yukimi hadn't gotten a good look when the two were thrown over to them by Buggy, so she had no idea the true extent of their injuries.

"Where's Captain, Yukimi?" Bepo quickly came up to her at the doorway.

Yukimi couldn't take her eyes off of Luffy. The state he was in was breaking her heart. "H-he's still up there."

"What?!" Bepo quickly ran past her.

"Yukimi what are you doing here? As soon as the Captain gets here-"

"I'm here to assist!" Yukimi interrupted Shachi. Her ears pushed forward attentively as she walked over to the gurneys, stopping between them. "I'm no good at operating, but I can help with their chakra and vitals. I can accelerate their healing easily, but it's going to take a lot..." she growled the last bit out in challenge. A challenge she was willing to accept. "Law won't like it but fuck it! He told me to assist with my medical ninjutsu, and that's what I'm gonna do!"

The men around her stood there uneasily yet were ready to help out. "What do you want us to do Yukimi?" Penguin asked as he stepped closer to her.

Yukimi nodded toward the two gurneys. "I need these two closer to me so I can help them at once," she answered firmly. The men nodded before pushing the gurneys closer to her for easier access. "Right," Yukimi muttered under her breath as she cracked her knuckles. She shook her hands before extending them out, hovering over the two injuries. Soft green light blossomed from her hands and encompassed the two unconscious pirates' injuries. Yukimi's eyes narrowed at what she was reading from their bodies. It was bad, no shit, to put it lightly. Yukimi took her hands back and shook them again, loosening them up further before putting them together in different hand signs. Yukimi closed her eyes in concentration as she pulled on her own chakra, getting ready to go through a medical ninjutsu she hadn't mastered yet. 'Sorry mom, I know I'm not ready yet. But I have to do this for them. If not...!'

Red snapped open as two white black tipped tails extended over the two pirates, the tips lightly touching their foreheads. "Chakra Transfusion Jutsu!" Yukimi immediately pulled on her chakra from her own system and quickly, but steadily, transferred it from her core to her hands now hovering back over the open wounds. Sweat quickly beaded her forehead as she started panting. The chakra was stubborn, trying to remain within her familiar system. It was like pulling teeth out with the lack of rest she's had. 'Damn! It's too soon! I've got to push through though! Their chakra levels are so low, especially Luffy's! What the hell has he been doing!?'

The soft green glow over Luffy and Jinbe wavered drawing the men's attention. It shrunk in size making Yukimi narrow her eyes on her hands. "No...!" she hissed through gritted teeth. The kitsune grunted from the effort as she pushed her chakra again. "You're going through whether you like it or not!" The stubborn chakra then was passed from her hands to the two pirates. Her tails twitched, now helping circulate the new chakra through their blood and veins, absorbing into their chakra channels. "What's their pulse?!" the ninja gasped out.

Someone hurried over to check their pulse. The man looked back at the kitsune in astonishment. "Their heartbeats are beginning to return to normal!" At the man's words, the rest of the Heart Pirates in the room looked at the Straw Hat ninja in absolute shock. Without a single piece of medical equipment or traditional CPR, she had brought back the two's heart rates to near normal levels!

Yukimi's body began trembling from her effort. "...Good." Now that most of her chakra had been transferred over, she concentrated on moving the foreign chakra through their systems. Her fingers curled to near fists before snapping back out straight. Yukimi could feel it. Her chakra and Luffy's and Jinbe's connected and mixed well, now fusing in strength.

It was at that time Law and Bepo came back. Law knew Yukimi would be using her medical ninjutsu as he gave her permission to do so. What he had not expected was to find her on the brink of collapse. As was apparent from how much her body shook and her constant panting.

Penguin noticed his captain come back just in time to see the green glow suddenly vanish without Yukimi's intent. She tilted slightly off kilter before dropping straight down as if someone had cut some kind of invisible strings from her body. The first mate instantly reacted and caught Yukimi before she could've hurt herself from the collapse. Penguin was suddenly glad he was next to her.

"Yukimi-ya!" Law ran over to check her over. "What happened?!"

Penguin shifted so the Yukimi wasn't lying on the floor, but mostly leaning against him as his captain checked her pulse. "We're not sure, Captain. She just used some kind of technique to uh," Penguin stumbled over his words as he recalled the name. "She called it 'Chakra Transfusion Jutsu'. Whatever she did, it made their heartbeat return to almost a normal rate!"

Law's head snapped up from observing Yukimi, to stare in shock at his first mate's words. "What!?"

A slight chuckle made them look back at the kitsune in Penguin's grasp. "Sorry Doc…knew I was going to worry you again. I'll be fine. ...I just hadn't mastered that jutsu yet. That's why I'm like this," she said looking up at them. Yukimi started to get up but couldn't make it an inch before everything started swirling in front of her eyes.

Law turned to Bepo. "I need you to watch over her and make sure she's alright. Take Yukimi back to my room. I'll come by later after I'm done operating," Law said as the large mink took the much smaller kitsune from Penguin's hands.

"Roger Captain!" Bepo responded as Law placed Luffy's straw hat in Yukimi's lap. Bepo turned and quickly ran out of the operating theater.

Bepo ran through the halls urgently following Law's order. In Bepo's arms, Yukimi gripped Luffy's hat fiercely, praying that her and Law's efforts won't go to waste. As they made it to the floor below, the ocean outside suddenly became turbulent. Bepo stumbled into the wall barely able to stay upright. "Now what's going on!?"

Yukimi's ears twitched from overhearing an open communication pipe down the hall. It was Aokiji's ice freezing the ocean around them. Another harsh turbulence caused the fleeing Polar Tang to shake as if it was hit by an avalanche. Yukimi yelped as Bepo was sent rolling down the hall like a polar bear bowling ball.

Soon the sea calmed around the sub allowing Bepo to come to a stop against a wall. Despite his eyes rolling in circles from the harsh ride, he kept a firm hold over Yukimi's body, keeping her from harm. "Uhhggh... Are you okay, Yukimi?" Bepo groaned out.

Yukimi nodded against his chest where he had tucked her in just before they were sent rolling. "Y-yeah...I'm okay," she answered back. "But what about you?" Yukimi asked looking up at the mink.

But before he could answer another volatile attack arrived. Now it was apparent that it was an attack by Admiral Kizaru due to the nasty light show outside a nearby porthole. Yukimi kept her eyes closed as the two of them were sent practically flying down the hall as the sub jerked in every possible direction. Anything to avoid getting hit. It seemed like forever before the light outside faded and Bepo finally came to a rough halt next to Law's room. How convenient.

Bepo picked up on Yukimi's heavy groan. He shook his head to be rid of any dizziness before looking down at her. "I'm so sorry Yukimi! Are you hurt!?" Bepo frantically asked. The albino looked a little green.

Yukimi's face was scrunched up as a hand went to cover her mouth. "I think I'm gonna be sick...!" came her muffled reply.

Bepo quickly got up, opened Law's door, and made a beeline to the bathroom inside. Not two seconds after he set Yukimi down, did she empty her stomach into the toilet. Yukimi's ears and tails sagged from absolute exhaustion as she flushed away what used to be food. "Fffuuuuuck..." the kitsune pathetically whined before coughing. Yukimi HATED vomiting. She had kept her eyes closed earlier for this specific reason. Yukimi glanced up when she heard Bepo coming back over to her with a cup of water. No doubt he found it on the small table at her side of the bed. With shaky hands, Yukimi accepted the cup with a weak smile. "Thanks..."

"I'm so sorry this happened Yukimi! Is there anything I can do to help?!" Bepo asked as she slowly and carefully sipped the water. No need to rush the stomach again.

"...First, let's just get me on the couch. Okay?"

"But wouldn't the bed be more comfortable?" Bepo asked as he picked up Straw Hat's hat. It had fallen to the floor in Yukimi's scramble.

Yukimi would have shaken her head to decline but didn't want to risk it. "It's fine Bepo. I want to be on the couch. At least there I can see the outside."

"If you say so." Bepo handed her the straw hat before he gingerly picked her up again and moved her to the couch in the office area. After getting her another full cup of water, Bepo looked around nervously. "Is there anything else I can do to help?"

Yukimi unzipped her hoodie and stuffed it behind her head as a makeshift pillow. She would have liked a glass of ice to chew on after throwing up, but she was too tired. Her eyes felt heavy. "I'm good. Thanks again." With that, the kitsune flopped one of her hoodie's sleeves over her eyes to keep the light from bothering her. Not a second later Yukimi was asleep. After having inconsistent chakra control over the week, using her scroll, performing the Chakra Transfusion Jutsu immediately after, and finally being put through the wringer from the submarine's evasive maneuvers to avoid the admirals' attacks. To put it simply, Yukimi was wiped out. What happened in the bathroom was the last straw for her body. Yukimi was going to be out of it for the rest of the day. Not wanting to disturb the exhausted kitsune, Bepo glanced at the straw hat left on the coffee table before he turned off the light and quietly left the room.

Hours passed by before Yukimi woke up. Everything was quiet in the room. It was kinda dark too. She could tell even though her eyes were covered. Yukimi brushed her sleeve away from her face before carefully sitting up.

"What you did back there, it was amazing. All without medical equipment. 'Chakra Transfusion Jutsu' huh? I'm impressed."

Yukimi looked across the dark room to find Law sitting at his desk with his hat off. His seat was half turned to the porthole behind him, looking out into the late evening sky. "Law..." Yukimi swung her feet to the floor so she could face him fully. "How is he?"

Law regarded her for a moment then shrugged. "I've done all I can, Yukimi-ya. It's up to him now."

Her ears lowered at his words. Fists clenched and unclenched over her knees. "I know he'll get through. He may be knocked down, but he's not out. He'll make it. I know it!" Yukimi firmly stated as she looked back to Law with determination.

"Maybe, but like I said, it's up to him whether he wants to make it or not, Yukimi-ya. After all, Fire Fist-ya is dead," Law said.

"What!?" Yukimi gasped out.

Law nodded. "From what the Warlord Jinbe confirmed earlier, Fire Fist-ya sacrificed himself to save Straw Hat-ya's life from Admiral Akainu. You saw their horrific injuries yourself, Yukimi-ya. What happened out there-"

"Stop! Stop... I..." She understood all too well. There was a moment of silence between them before Yukimi looked back up to Law. "What about Jinbe? Why was he even with Luffy?"

Law leaned his elbow on his desk, resting his chin against his knuckles. "I don't know the details myself since I don't really care to. But you can speak with him tomorrow if you want. But for now," Law paused as he gestured to the coffee table. "After hearing the ordeal you went through from Bepo, you're having that for dinner. It'll be easy on your stomach," Law said as Yukimi finally took notice of the food waiting for her on the table. There was a bowl of soup next to a small plate of crackers and a glass of ice water.

Yukimi took the bowl and started eating. "So... What happened after we escaped those wretched bastards?"

Pleased Yukimi immediately started eating without a fuss, Law leaned back in his leather chair, kicking up his feet on the desk. "Not too much happened. After a while we surfaced and when we did, we had an unexpected meeting with the Pirate Empress Boa Hancock and Revolutionary Emporio Ivankov. Apparently Straw Hat-ya's close to them. Donno when you guys met the Pirate Empress, but Emporio Ivankov said they met Straw Hat-ya back in Impel Down." Getting a mixture of confusion and shock respectively, Law glossed over the next bit. "The gist that I got, was that your captain met them at Impel Down when he went charging in to save Fire Fist-ya. I can only guess he got in with the help of Boa Hancock. Otherwise, the only way in is through getting incarcerated."

"Geeze what the hell has Luffy been doing this last week?!" Yukimi muttered as she put her head in one hand. Shaking her head lightly, Yukimi spooned some more soup before eating a couple of crackers. "What else?"

"Well, Emporio Ivankov went on their merry way after hearing Straw Hat-ya's condition. Boa Hancock on the other hand invited us to hide out at her island, Amazon Lily in the Calm Belt."

Yukimi's eyes widened at what he said. "The Calm Belt?! But that's infested with seakings!"

"Yup. But she assured us we most likely won't get attacked while we tail the Kuja Pirates' ship. Something about their two giant poisonous snakes tends to deter seakings," Law said calming her down. "Anyways, we'll stay at Amazon Lily for a while. Though I don't want to stay too long. I have plans after all," he said smirking.

"Plans huh?" Yukimi inquired after finishing her soup. Yukimi then finished off the glass of iced water. "You do seem to have become the scheming kind of guy. Just by looking at that creeping mug of yours," she grinned, letting a fang show as she pointed an accusatory finger at him.

Law had the audacity to put a hand over his heart in mock hurt. "Who me? Scheming? Why I never."

Yukimi put down her glass and stood up. She walked over to his desk and then around it to stand in front of the pirate. "Yeah, ya ain't fooling no one here, twerp," Yukimi smirked at him as she crossed her arms.

Law on the other hand grinned back. "Who knows, Yukimi-ya. It's been over a decade since then, and I've grown and matured as such. Maybe I can fool you. Or even take you down a notch. After all, who's bounty is higher?"

Yukimi's ears pricked forward from their relaxed state and her tails fluffed up in excitement. "Is that so?" she asked slowly now leaning a hand on his desk, her other on her hip. "I still have a couple of tricks up my sleeve you hadn't seen yet, Doc. As I'm sure you've got plenty up your black sleeves."

Law's grin turned sharper at her words. "If anything, it'll have to wait until you're fully recovered, my patient. You're in no condition for anything of the sort as of now."

Outside the porthole, the sky had turned to complete night as the stars glistened under the crescent moon's sleepy gaze. The Milkyway raced across the sky overhead as the nocturnal light illuminated through the large circular window beside the two pirates. One a captain and surgeon, the other a scout and ninja, both from rival crews. Invisible electricity sparked between them as a new promise was made under the moon's watch. The outside light colored the man in a soft olive and navy blue, his eyes a silver hue in the night. The kitsune in turn was colored a milky soft snowy look, her eyes a muted ruby. Things will definitely get interesting soon enough. For now, though, it'll have to wait for later.

~Okay guys, here's the low down. For the past many months I've been at a bad writer's block at a certain section of this fic. It's moreover of the kind of "How do I get from point A to point B?" kind of crap. I have all other points situated for later on but not so much in the next chapter. Not only that, but I've also been utterly set in stone... Oh, holy crap...that was totally unintentional! THAT JUST SHOWS IT THOUGH! Guys, Dr. Stone has utterly sucked me out of our beloved world of pirates to the world of petrified people and SCIENCE! I can't help it guys! I'm so excited about it all that I've read the manga to the end and rewatched the first two seasons so much I've legitimately forgotten how many times now. I'm sorry, but I've started a brand new fanfic for Dr. Stone and now I'm currently writing chapter two. Whenever I get around to posting the first chapter, I hope y'all will give it a try. Not to mention I hope you'll like my new OC. She's different from any OC I've ever written before and I hope I'm writing her well. As for Long Term Hearts, I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL NEVER ABANDON THIS FANFICTION! You have my word. And when I say I promise, I keep it.

'Til then everyone, stay safe and GET EXCITED!
