Disclaimers: This is a crossover between Sailor Moon and Danny Phantom. I do not own these two shows. Sailor Moon is written by Naoko Takeuchi in manga form and aired as a series by Toei Animation and TV Asahi in Japan and by Kodansha Comics in North America. Danny Phantom is created by Butch Hartman and aired as an American animated action adventure television series by Nickelodeon in 2004.
"So, after a ghost attack," started Tucker, "Serena was there?"
"Mhm," nodded Danny.
"That's pretty suspicious," pointed out Sam.
The Phantom Team was hanging out at Nasty Burger in the back of the restaurant. Danny was telling them about the ghost attack by Skulker at the park. He also told them about Serena appearing right where the park was. Tucker and Sam were looking at each other before turning back to Danny. Both questioned why Serena was there, but Sam was the only one that thought it was suspicious. Danny shook his head as he explained that Serena was there because she had a nightmare. "A nightmare," asked Sam skeptically.
"Yes, Sam," said Danny, "A nightmare. And a pretty graphic one, too."
"What was it about," asked Tucker.
"Not going to say," said Danny.
"What," exclaimed the two.
"You heard me," said Danny with his arms crossed, "Serena confided in me… or ghost me… and I'm not going to break that trust."
Sam and Tucker looked at Danny in disbelief. He would always tell them what was up, but this WAS a personal confinement from Serena to Phantom. Tucker nodded his head as he dropped the subject. Sam, however, did not. She was very suspicious about Serena, especially when you take in the fact that Serena is Dash's little sister. Something was up with Serena. Before she could argue about it, another person heard the word Serena before coming over to them, fists to his side. "What's this about my sister, Fen-turd," asked Dash who came over.
"Uh," said Danny.
"You stay away from my sister, Fentina," said Dash, "She's too good for you."
"Uh… N-Noted," said Danny.
"Anyways, I'll see you at the party," said Dash, "And remember… DON'T talk to my sister… at all."
With that, Dash left the table to talk with Kwan. He knew that Danny was a good guy, but as the older brother, he had to protect his sister. Kwan would always tease him that he was very overprotective of his little sister, but could he fault that? He didn't know when that happened, but he knew that it probably had to do with those strange dreams of his. While Dash and Kwan were back to chowing down their burgers, Danny sunk down on his chair and groaned. It would just be his luck that Dash would say that to him while he finally realized that he has a crush on his sister. "Bad timing to be crushing on his sister, eh, Danny," said Tucker.
"Don't I know it," groaned Danny.
"Come on," said Sam, "Let's go hang at my house."
"No thanks," said Danny, "I have to get ready for that party."
"Well, tell us all about the party then," said Tucker hesitantly.
Danny just nodded his head as he got up and left his two friends. He needed to think on this more. As he left, his two friends just watched him go. Sam was still having a fist underneath the table due to her conflicting feelings. Tucker eased out of the punch zone before saying, "Dude, just tell him already!"
"There is nothing to tell," said Sam who was keeping her jealousy at bay.
"Whatever you say," said Tucker with a roll of his eyes.
- Late Afternoon –
"Finally," exclaimed Minako.
It took a twelve hour plane ride and an hour car drive, but the Senshi were finally at Amity Park. It also took a while for a car rental to let them HAVE a car, and they couldn't understand why. All they saw was an Amity Park sign, the captions underneath spelled out that this place was a Nice Place To Live when Haruka drove by. Once Haruka parked in front of their hotel, Minako was the first to come out of the car. She knew that it was a van, but a long car drive to the place after landing at Chicago Midway International Airport could make one person crazy. "Calm down, Mina-chan," said Makoto.
"Calm down," asked Minako, "But, I can't be calm! We had a LONG way to get to the hotel. Add in the fact that we are so CLOSE to finding our Princess again…"
"I know that you are excited," said Rei with a glare, "But, SOME of us want to rest before heading out."
Minako pouted but held her excitement in. She could tell that Rei was being grumpy. Rei, on her part, told the others that once they came into the city, she could feel the akuryō, the malevolent spirits, running around. Rei really was itching to take out a lot of her ofuda (household amulet/talisman) out. She can't believe that the place was STILL standing when she felt the akuryō. Haruka was the one who checked them all in, having one room for the Inners to sleep in. Michiru volunteered to get some dinner for everyone just as Ami was scanning the area for their Princess and Hotaru. "That would be great," said Makoto, "Thanks!"
"It is not a problem," said Michiru, "But, I suggest that you all brush up on your English."
"Not a bad idea," said Ami.
"No," bemoaned Minako, "I already KNOW how to speak English."
"But, you speak with British slang, Minako," pointed out Ami, "We have to speak American."
Minako grumbled, but Ami had a point. No matter if she KNEW how to speak English, American English was different to where she first started out as Sailor Venus. Makoto sighed as she brought out the English books that could help them speak in a different country. All of the Inners were good at English, with Minako coming in first due to living in Britain before coming to Japan, but brushing up on how to speak it would be a better idea. Rei, on her part, just gave some ofuda to Haruka and Michiru before placing a lot around their hotel room. She was getting a bit paranoid. "'Ruka and I'll be back with food for you four," said Michiru just as Haruka teared out of the hotel's parking lot.
- With Danny –
"Okay," said Danny to himself, "Just breathe."
It was finally time for the party that was being hosted at Dash's house. Danny, on his part, was dressed in his own comfy clothes. He didn't know if there was a dress code or not, but he'll try to enjoy the party. When he breathed out, he pushed the doorbell. Dash was the one who opened the door and looked at Danny up and down. Grumbling under his breath about little sisters, Dash let Danny in. Danny walked in and looked around. He groaned when he saw that the dress code was what happened the FIRST time Danny came to Dash's party. "Oh," said Dash with a smirk, "Did I forget to tell you the dress code?"
"Yeah, Dash," said Danny with a small glare, "You did."
"My bad," said Dash before leaving Danny alone.
"Great," said Danny to himself, "Another party where I'm being laughed at."
"Laughed at," asked a female voice.
Danny turned to see Serena was actually at the party. Instead of Dash's dress code, she was wearing her own dress code. Danny saw that she was wearing a red A-line dress that just covered the caps of her shoulders. He also saw her friend behind her, and she was also in her own dress code. Danny blinked, his mind wondering why the two weren't wearing the same dress code as the others. Both girls DID look better with their own clothes though. "Y-Yeah," said Danny with a small stutter, "Dash didn't tell me what the dress code was."
"That's Dash for you," said Serena with a frown before saying, "Anyways, I didn't introduce you to my friend, have I?"
"No," said Danny.
"Well, this is my best friend and Kwan's little sister, Hotaru," said Serena.
"Yo," said Hotaru who saluted with two fingers.
"Kwan's little sister," asked a confused Danny.
"Yup," said Hotaru, "Kwan is nicer than Dash though."
"Tell me about it," said Danny and Serena together.
All three of them laughed with each other. With that laugh, Danny started to relax at the party. He was still a bit self-conscious about the dress code, but with two others that didn't care about it, Danny was having an actually good time. Serena and Hotaru started to tell Danny some embarrassing things about Dash and Kwan while Danny told the two about his two best friends. While the three were hanging out and finally migrated towards where the actual party was, Dash had his eyes narrowed when he saw his little sister, Hotaru, and Danny talking and laughing. Kwan, on the other hand, placed a calming hand on Dash's shoulder. "Dude, calm down," said Kwan.
"Can't help that Fentina is getting along with my little sister and Hotaru," said Dash.
"You mean, you can't help that Fenton is getting along with your little sister," said Kwan, "For me, I'm glad that Hotaru finally has another friend. You know, she isn't that great with making friends because they think my sister is a bit freaky."
"Yeah," said Dash, "But, I like her freaky powers."
"Only you, Serena, and I know that she has had those powers since when she was just a kid," pointed out Kwan, "The others think that she's always having a ghost or something around, making them shy away from her, which is far from the truth. Besides, you wouldn't want to anger your sister. I saw Serena when she's angry. She's scary when she's angry."
Dash pouted a bit before mingling with his party invitees. He'll talk with his sister at a later time. As the party started to become loud with music, Hotaru pushed Serena into Danny and told both of them to dance. Danny rubbed his head with his hand as he awkwardly turned red. He wasn't a dancing kind of guy, but he could try? Looking if Serena would object to dancing with a loser like him, he was surprise to see Serena having a slight tint of red dusting her cheeks. Serena was also glaring at Hotaru while Hotaru smirked back. "U-Uh," said Danny with dusted red on his cheeks, "W-Would you like to dance… w-with me?"
"S-Sure," said Serena.
"Lovebirds," whispered Hotaru while taking a hidden camcorder out.
With the camcorder in her hand, Hotaru turned it on before pointing it at the dancing Danny and Serena. Serena and Danny both were standing on the makeshift dance floor, not knowing what to do. The music was surrounding them, but they couldn't move. Danny was nervous because this was his crush that he was going to be dancing with. Serena was also nervous because she knew that she wasn't that great of a dancer. As both started to listen to the music, both started to dance slowly, trying to get the feel of the song. They, then, finally relaxed before going all out and dancing together. It wasn't until some people started to point at the two. "Hey, look," said Paulina's voice, "Serena's dancing with a loser!"
"He is NOT a loser," said Serena who stopped and turned to glare at the Latina, Paulina.
"Yeah," said Hotaru who stopped the recording and glared at Paulina too, "He's our friend!"
"Friend," scoffed a different person, "He's like one year older than you."
"Wouldn't that make both of them losers too," asked Star.
Dash glared at the three for calling his little sister a loser. She has a pure heart and making fun of her making friends with someone considered a loser was NOT the same as labeling her as one. Kwan was also glaring at the three. He was very protective of Hotaru's feelings, especially when she was labeled already as a freak due to her healing powers. It wasn't her fault that she was born with that power. He also wouldn't label Hotaru as a loser because she associated with a nice guy like Fenton. It wasn't long, though, that Serena and Hotaru just dragged Danny up the stairs to Serena's room to get away from the mocking. It also wasn't long that Dash, with the help of Kwan, literally threw the invitees out for mocking their little sisters. "Hey," said a startled Paulina.
"You, Star, and that other dweeb are out of this party," said Dash.
"What," exclaimed Star, "Why?"
"You MOCKED our sisters," growled Kwan protectively.
"Sisters," exclaimed the dweeb.
"Yeah, so, bye-bye," said Dash as he slammed the door in their faces and turned to the others, "Anyone else have something to say about Kwan and my little sisters?"
"No," murmured everyone who was confused about Serena and Hotaru being Dash and Kwan's sister.
"Then, let's get back to the party," said Dash as the DJ produced the music again.
- In Serena's Room –
"Sorry about that," said Serena.
"No," said Danny, "I should be the one that's sorry. I totally destroyed your rep."
As Danny, Serena, and Hotaru left the party to Serena's room, it wasn't long that Serena was spewing a ramble about how those three were out of line. She started to say that it wasn't their place to tell Serena and Hotaru on whom to befriend. Danny, on his part, sat nervously on a chair near Serena's desk. He didn't know what to say until Serena said sorry to him. When Danny apologized to the two girls about destroying their reputation, Serena and Hotaru looked at each other before laughing out loud. Both knew that they didn't really have a rep, as Danny had said, due to some things. Serena and Hotaru were considered that girl and that girl's freaky friend that goes to school with Danny, Dash, and Kwan. "W-What," asked Danny confused, "Why are you laughing?"
"Danny," said Hotaru who still had mirth in her eyes, "We don't have a reputation."
"Yeah," said Serena, "We are considered semi-normal? in the crowd."
"No one knows that Serena and I have older brothers," said Hotaru.
"Until now," said Serena, "I bet that Dash and Kwan threw those three out of the party for disrespecting us."
"And if they call ME a freak," said Hotaru with some sadness edging into her eyes, "Kwan would beat THEM up."
Danny looked at the two girls that he hung out with at the party and frowned. He didn't like how his new friend's violet eyes held sadness after her statement. He also didn't like Serena's crystal blue eyes hold the same sadness when she heard Hotaru's statement either. Danny was taken aback though when Serena growled and looked at her friend. It was there and then that Danny saw Serena go on another rant, this time directed at Hotaru for thinking about what other people think. She said that they shouldn't care what others think because those that KNOW them had the right to give advice. Danny could see that Hotaru was smiling and nodded along to whatever Serena said, but what Hotaru said still gave him pause. "Um," said Danny with his eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "Why would people call Hotaru THAT word?"
"It's up to Hotaru if she wants to say or not," said Serena.
"I guess I could just demonstrate," said Hotaru.
"I rather not cut myself just for you to demonstrate, 'Taru," said Serena.
"W-Wait a minute," said Danny frantically, "First of all, don't cut yourself, Serena. Secondly, can't you just TELL me instead?"
"He has a point in just telling him," said Serena, "I also rather have you NOT pass out due to lack of energy."
"Fine," huffed Hotaru before turning to Danny, "I am called a freak because I have the power to heal wounds."
"You are NOT a freak," growled Serena.
"Yeah," said Danny before exclaiming, "You have healing powers!"
Serena and Hotaru laughed at Danny's exclamation before explaining that the powers were there when Hotaru was born and that NO ghost was involved. After the explanation, all three started to play games up in Serena's room instead of going back to the party. The only thought Danny had was, 'This party didn't turn out SO bad. I gained two new friends, after all!'
AN: There. The chapter for the party is here! (σ≧∀≦)σI had to incorporate on WHY no one knew about Hotaru and Serena being Dash and Kwan's little sisters. They just believe that Dash and Kwan wanted the two at the party. Other than that, I also had to incorporate that Hotaru STILL has her healing powers, but as a kid, when she used it to heal Serena once, she was labeled as something wrong. Both girls will stay together til the end of time! ٩(^ᴗ^)۶ Doesn't hurt that Danny are now friends with them. ^.~ As for the Inners, yes, there are different slang for British and American English. So, that's why I also incorporated that Minako is good in English, but she has to make sure to speak with an American slang than British. (o^^)o Anyways, happy reading and see ya next chapter! (^^)v
