Disclaimers: This is a crossover between Sailor Moon and Danny Phantom. I do not own these two shows. Sailor Moon is written by Naoko Takeuchi in manga form and aired as a series by Toei Animation and TV Asahi in Japan and by Kodansha Comics in North America. Danny Phantom is created by Butch Hartman and aired as an American animated action adventure television series by Nickelodeon in 2004.
"Oomph," sounded Jazz as she fell to the floor for the nth time.
"You're getting better at dodging," said Michiru with a smile, "But, your speed needs to rise up just a bit."
"Thanks," said Jazz as she wiped the sweat off of her forehead.
It had been a week after Queen Serenity revealed everything to… well… everyone! The Reincarnates were still processing every bit of information that Queen Serenity just dumped on them, especially Sam. Jazz was kind of worried about Sam because of her apparent crush on her little brother. She could tell that even though Clockwork helped Queen Serenity by SHOWING the correct memories, Sam was still persistent that it didn't pertain to them at all. Jazz, however, couldn't refute anything shown because according to Danny, whatever Clockwork showed was always correct. Jazz just hoped that Sam wouldn't do anything as her mind turned back to the present. She scanned the area to see the Inners discussing something while Jadeite was re-teaching Dash, Tucker, Hotaru, Serena, Danny, and Kwan how to fight with Haruka supervising. She saw Setsuna working with Sam on how to unlock her powers once more before turning to HER partner, Michiru. "Ready to continue," questioned Michiru.
"Of course," said Jazz, "I rather try to unlock these powers that Queen Serenity gave me as soon as possible."
"Oh," questioned Michiru, "Why?"
"Ever since Danny had that accident," said Jazz slowly while trying not to reveal Danny's secret, "I felt useless. A lot of ghosts always target Danny for some odd reason after his accident. Yet, now, with these powers, I can try to help Danny and protect him."
"So, you want to protect your little brother," said Michiru with a thoughtful look, "What about hime? You were quick to agree to pledge your allegiance to hime."
Jazz blinked at what Michiru asked. With a thoughtful look, she could remember what happened once Queen Serenity told them what the surprise was… Jazz becoming Sailor Sun…
- Flashback –
Jasmine Fenton," said Queen Serenity, "If my son agrees, how would you like to become a Sailor Senshi for the Sun?"
"EH," exclaimed everyone.
All eyes turned wide in surprise when they heard Queen Serenity ask Jazz that question. The Inners and Outers looked shocked that their Queen would let an outsider become one of them. Sam looked ready to question Queen Serenity with suspicion, but Tucker was quick to get to Sam and cover her mouth before she did anything to upset a powerful being, even if said being was a ghost. Tucker still looked between Queen Serenity and Jazz in surprise though. He felt like Jazz was already a part of the group. So, if she agreed to get powers of the Sun, she would be closer to them. Tucker looked to see Danny staring in shock about what was happening as well. Serena, Hotaru, and Kwan were surprised but then calmed down. They felt that when Queen Serenity said she saw potential in Jazz, she meant as a Senshi. Dash blinked before calming down and sloughing into the bean bag chair. "I don't object to Jazz here being a Sailor Senshi," said Dash, "Why ask if I would agree?"
"Because you are the Sun Heir," said Jadeite, "That means that you have to give consent to let someone else also have YOUR powers."
"Oh," said Dash, "Well, as I said, no disagreements from me here."
"What," exclaimed Rei, "You're going to let someone have YOUR powers?"
"It's not like I WON'T have those powers," said Dash who looked at his past mother, "Right?"
"Correct," said Queen Serenity, "You, my son, will still be the heir to the Sun Kingdom when it is time to rule once more, but Jazz will just have similar Sun powers. It doesn't mean that she will become a Princess of the Sun."
"Then, that's fine with me," said Dash with a shrug.
"Ugh," groaned Rei, "You're as quick to decide things without thinking like Odango there."
Fierce glares were now directed at Rei for calling Serena THAT name once more, along with the insult to Dash. However, before they could yell at Rei for the disrespect, it was Jazz who got up from her seat and slapped Rei with her hand. Jazz glared hatefully at Rei for disrespecting two someones right in front of her. She probably saw that Rei wanted Serena to become something she was definitely not, but to go as to insult her big brother as well? What was up with Rei's attitude anyway? Rei, on her part, stared at Jazz in shock. She also had a hand on her red cheek from the slap Jazz gave her. "What was that for," yelled out Rei who was glaring.
"For insulting people," said Jazz fiercely, "First, you insult your Prince by just saying he was probably an idiot for agreeing without an argument. Then, you insult your Princess by calling her a name she hates! Did you even realize that when you do that, you are also insulting your Queen who is ALSO present?!"
"No, I'm not," said Rei.
"Of course you are," said Tucker who looked at Jazz in surprise, "You insulted a hairstyle of your Princess, which means that you insulted the hairstyle of your Queen."
"They… kind of do have a point, Rei-chan," said Ami slowly.
"That hairstyle has been the royal hairstyle for as long as I can remember," said Setsuna, "Even though Serena is not wearing it now, the name DOES imply that you are insulting the royal hairstyle, Hino-san."
Rei pales a bit when her rising temper simmered down to what Ami and Setsuna told her. She didn't think of it like that. She always said that to Usagi with a tease, but no. This was not Usagi in front of her but Serena. Serena may act the same as Usagi, but her hair was not the same as the Queen's and Usagi's. She was also a year younger than the Inners but taking the same classes as them. As Rei sat down, Jazz sat down as well. The Reincarnates obviously could tell that Jazz had warmed up to Serena, especially since Serena is dating her little brother. Queen Serenity was also smiling gently as she saw how protective Jazz was over Serena's well-being as well. "Thank you, Jazz," said Serena sincerely.
"No problem," said Jazz, "Someone has to keep the record straight for this girl."
"Now that I think about it," said Kwan, "Why DID she get away with insulting the royal hairstyle so much in Serena's second past life?"
"It wasn't an insult," grumbled Rei, "I was just teasing her."
"Yet, we KNOW that it hurts her emotionally when you so-call tease her with that name," pointed out Tucker.
Rei glared at the floor before turning her head away. She believed that she didn't have to justify herself because what she was doing was just teasing. There wasn't anything wrong with that. Yet, in the back of her mind, she knew that what she was doing was wrong because of how many times Usagi would have told her NEVER to call her that nickname. Rei couldn't help but have a quick glance tat Serena being told to just ignore her by Danny before turning her gaze back to where she was staring. A cough from Queen Serenity made everyone turn back towards her. "I believe we are off topic," said Queen Serenity who gave a pointed look at Rei, "Even though, Jazz does make a point."
"Of course, Serenity-joōsama," said Setsuna.
"So," said Danny slowly, "You want to make Jazz into a Sailor Senshi?"
"Correct," said Queen Serenity.
"With the powers of the Sun," questioned Serena.
"Yes," said Queen Serenity.
"But, what does the Sun entail," pondered Hotaru, "Because Jadeite said that I was the Soldier of Silence, Destruction, Death, and Rebirth?"
"If I recall," said Queen Serenity, "The Sun represents Healing, Light, and Regeneration."
"That's perfect for Miss Psychologist here," teased Danny with a proud smile on his face.
"Thanks, Lil Brother," said Jazz before addressing the Queen, "So, if I accept these powers, I will be having these Sun powers?"
"Yes," said Michiru, "Just like with our powers that come from the other planets of the Solar System."
"And, I will have the power to protect my little brother," implored Jazz.
"But, of course," said Queen Serenity, "But, it is after pledging your allegiance to protect Serenity-hime."
"Alright," said Jazz quickly, "Let's turn me into Sailor Sun."
With that quick agreement, Jazz could tell that Sam was about to blow a gasket while the other Reincarnates smiled encouragingly. She could also tell that the other Sailor Senshi didn't really like this idea, but they could never refute their past Queen of this decision.
- End Flashback –
'I really did jump the gun there,' thought Jazz with amusement.
"Jazz," questioned Michiru.
"Oh," said Jazz, "Just thinking. But, to answer your question, if I want to protect Danny, then I have to protect Serena. Serena holds Danny's heart, and I will do anything to protect that. So, of course I agreed quickly!"
Michiru just stared at Jazz for a while. While agreeing an allegiance to Serena to become Sailor Sun, Jazz was actually protecting her little brother's heart. Michiru thought bemusedly that Serena DOES hold Danny's love, and if she did, then Jazz, as the older sister, was going to protect Danny from a broken heart if anything DID happen to Serena. Michiru suddenly smiled at Jazz. Of course, Jazz's convictions would indirectly be related in protecting Danny emotional state. Yet, wouldn't the other Sailor Senshi do that as well to protect their hime's feelings? "I understand," said Michiru, "We have done that with hime in the past."
"Well, you haven't been doing a really good job about it," pointed out Jazz.
"I know," sighed Michiru, "But, I hope that this third chance with… everyone… will be better."
"Not with that hot-head," said Jazz, "The Inners seem like they do not agree that they did anything wrong."
"I believe that in time, the Inners got used to what they had been doing to the hime," said Michiru.
"I am just glad that Queen Serenity told the Inners to reflect then," said Jazz, "But seriously? It's already been a week!"
"Yes," said Michiru, "Yet, it is also suspicious that there have been no Youma sightings as of late."
"You think something is going to happen," questioned Jazz.
Before Michiru could comment on what she was feeling, a loud beeping noise that was coming from the Inners' little circle resounded around the training area. Everyone blinked as they went to look at the Inners. The beeping noise didn't stop until Ami pulled out a… wrist watch? They saw Ami press a button and suddenly a female voice was heard. "Luna," questioned Ami.
"Oh, Ami," said Luna with relief, "Have you found the hime?"
"Hai," said Makoto, "Also Saturn… and the hime's older brother."
"Older brother," yelped a male voice.
"Hai, Artemis," said Minako, "We have found out that our memories from the Silver Millennium are false."
"Demo, we can talk about this later," said Setsuna who stopped training Sam, "Right now, we need to know why you two have called."
They all couldn't hear anything from the watch, but they knew that the two voices were a bit speechless. After all, they JUST found out that their memories were also messed with. Danny pulled Serena to him as she had a blank look. Danny looked at Serena questioningly until Serena smiled and whispered something about a white cat named Artemis and good memories associated with said cat. Danny felt jealousy bubble up but squashed it down because he would DIE if anyone knew that he was jealous of a… cat. As Danny wrapped arms around Serena with a smile on his face, both, along with everyone else, saw the Outers going over to where the Inners were to talk with the two voices. "Luna," questioned Rei, "Artemis? You still there?"
"H-Hai," said Luna, the female voice, "J-Just surprised by this turn of events."
"Can we PLEASE get an answer to why you have called," said Makoto, "Do we need to get back to Tokyo to deal with another evil?"
"Īe," said Artemis, the male voice, "It's not another evil. However…"
"However," pressed on Haruka.
"However, Mamoru-san has been kidnapped by a… by a," started Artemis.
"By," asked almost all of the Senshi.
"By a… black dragon," exclaimed Luna.
"NANI," shouted the Senshi.
- Where Mamoru Is –
"Good job, Aragon," said King Endymion.
The black dragon huffed but kept quiet. Because of some weird magic, this black dragon couldn't shift back to his ghostly human form and was quite irritated on following someone else. Aragon, in his dragon form, glared at King Endymion and side-glared at Plasmius. If he knew that he was going into servitude as a DRAGON of all things, he wouldn't have agreed to join. King Endymion, on the other hand, smiled as his son's present self, Mamoru, lying on the bed before turning to an evil smirk. With just a hand, a purple wave of energy started to engulf Mamoru, just like when Queen Beryl had done before. 'Soon, my son,' thought King Endymion with an evil smile, 'Soon, we'll be back together and destroy that half-brother of yours.'
AN: Whelp~! I finally got through my writer's block. (-｡-; And, now we have Jazz, as Sailor Sun, being trained by Michiru. (´∀｀；) I hope I can continue to write more for this fanfic story, but PLEASE don't review to me to update as soon as possible. (︶︹︺) I will update as soon as I CAN MANAGE.
