Disclaimers: This is a crossover between Sailor Moon and Danny Phantom. I do not own these two shows. Sailor Moon is written by Naoko Takeuchi in manga form and aired as a series by Toei Animation and TV Asahi in Japan and by Kodansha Comics in North America. Danny Phantom is created by Butch Hartman and aired as an American animated action adventure television series by Nickelodeon in 2004.
"Are you feeling a bit better," questioned Serena.
"I don't know," said Danny.
While the others were conversing on WHAT to do against a ghost army and evil Youma that were working for King Endymion IV, Serena dragged a distraught Danny upstairs into his room. She pushed Danny's bedroom door open and pulled Danny in before closing the door and locking it. Danny was about to open his mouth to make a sarcastic comment that would have made Serena's face turn red, but he couldn't. Serena was quick to kiss his lips to silence him before dragging Danny to lie on top of his bed, Serena lying right next to him and blankets where their feet were. Curling into Danny's side, Danny could see Serena's eyes close like she fell asleep. Danny sighed, pulled Serena close to his body before throwing his blankets over them, and closed his eyes before drifting off to sleep. He never noticed that Serena popped one eye open before closing it back to actually fall asleep. It wasn't long, but once both of them woke up facing each other, Serena gifted Danny with a beautiful smile, Serena not feeling that intense uncertainty… until she asked if Danny was alright. "Tell me what is on your mind," suggested Serena, "Maybe I can help?"
"Well, it's a fear that I have," said Danny.
"Fear," questioned Serena.
"Mhm," said Danny, "Remember the incident where our town was sucked into the ghost zone?"
"Yes," said Serena with a small shiver, "By that Pariah Dark person, right?"
"Exactly," said Danny, "Well, you also know that I'm Phantom, right?"
"Un," nodded Serena, "You are also the one who saved the town."
"Yeah," said Danny with a red tint from Serena's admiration, "So, when I saved the town, I apparently didn't know that once Pariah Dark was defeated, I would… technically... become the next in line to rule?"
"So," said Serena with a thoughtful look, "You essentially have a ghost army of your own."
"Basically," said Danny, "But, I'm scared of taking the mantle."
"How come," pressed Serena gently, her hand squeezing Danny's in comfort.
It was that question that Danny just rambled and spilled everything to Serena. He told her about Sam, Tucker, and his first adventure and meeting with Clockwork. He told her about the horrible future and the fight between his future evil self. He also told her about how that evil future self was STILL present in a thermos that was kept within the home of Clockwork. Serena, on her part, was patient. She let Danny rant about his worries and about what it means to actually accept the crown and the ring. It wasn't until Danny was breathless on his rant and turned his head into his pillow. "I'm sorry for ranting," grumbled Danny.
"I believe you HAD to get that off your chest," said Serena softly as she snuggled closer.
"Yeah," said Danny.
"And your worries are actually sound," said Serena, "I would have worried about a possible future as well. However, I know one thing."
"Oh," questioned Danny.
"Mhm," said Serena, "You are trying your best to be good, and that makes it all the difference. Besides, that future is probably null and void."
"How do you figure that," questioned Danny with curiosity in his eyes.
"You aren't alone," said Serena, "Even if your family and your two best friends may perish, you aren't alone as you think. You now have Hotaru, Kwan, Jadeite, and to an extent, Dash. Also, you have…"
"I have," questioned Danny, bemused that red was slowly creeping up Serena's face.
"You have me," mumbled Serena into Danny's chest.
Even though Serena tucked her face into Danny's chest at the end, he still heard her mumbling. Danny chuckled at how shy Serena could get whenever it was between she and Danny. That chuckle, however, made Serena want to pout and smack Danny's chest. Danny, however, held Serena's hand with his own when he saw that she was about to playfully hit his chest for his chuckling. He couldn't help it, though, when he leaned in to kiss Serena on the lips. He still had worries just like anyone else if they saw their future, but with Serena, her voice was loud and clear. He WASN'T alone, and he had other people besides Vlad as an option to live with… this time. Pulling back, he couldn't help but feel proud of himself for making Serena all red in the face and her lips puffy. "Thanks for listening to me, Beautiful," said Danny sincerely.
"Just remember that I'm here," said Serena with a smile of her own.
"I'll remember that," said Danny before stretching, "Do you think the others planned things out yet?"
"I hope so," said Serena, "I'm not a planner!"
"Same here," chuckled Danny before hopping out of bed, "Let's go and see, shall we?"
"Lead the way, my dear prince," teased Serena.
Both Danny and Serena laughed a bit before Danny led Serena out of his bedroom. Both actually felt refreshed, even though Danny ranted to Serena about his worries after taking that well-deserved nap. It wasn't long that they noticed that outside was darker than it was previously. They also saw Jazz sitting on the couch and reading a really thick textbook. Danny figured that the book in question was something dealing with psychology. Jazz, on her part, turned her head to the stairs when she heard footsteps. She was surprised to see that Danny and Serena were emerging from upstairs and looked quite vexed. "Danny, I can't believe you," exclaimed Jazz.
"What," questioned a confused Danny.
"Y-You're not… p-pure anymore," whimpered Jazz.
"W-What are YOU talking about," spluttered Danny, his and Serena's face reddening.
"Just look at Serena," pointed out Jazz, "Her hair is frazzled and her clothes are all scrunched up! points to Danny And you! Your hair is messier than before and your clothes are crumpled as well!"
"I-It's not what you th-think," denied Serena, "We were j-just sleeping!"
"Y-Yeah," said Danny.
"Really," asked a skeptical Jazz, "Because Serena's lips says otherwise."
"Jazz," yelled out Danny as his and Serena's face turned permanent tomatoes.
Jazz looked at the both before giggling. It looked like what she was doing was riling up the couple. But, it was justified because the two didn't have the decency of telling the others where they were. Jazz, though, looked closer at Danny and saw that his tension she definitely saw when Clockwork sent them back to their house was gone from his shoulders. Jazz couldn't help but smile because Serena was very good for Danny. The couple, however, blinked as they heard Jazz started to laugh at them. "It's not funny," said Danny.
"Of course not," said Jazz, "But, next time, tell us where you guys are going, okay little brother?"
"I'm sorry," piped up Serena, "I thought it would be best to have a private conversation while all of you were planning."
"Well, we didn't really come up with a plan," said Jazz with a frown, "The others were wondering what you guys thought though."
"I… uh… MAY have a way to counter the ghost army," said Danny nervously.
"You do," asked Jazz in surprise.
Danny nodded his head as he thought about what it would have entailed. Of course, the other ghosts MAY try to intervene in protest OR accept him, but he was still a bit fearful on becoming him. Serena smiled slightly in knowing as she squeezed Danny's hand in support. It would take a while for him to get over the fear, but she knew that Danny would NOT become that future person. Jazz, on the other hand, looked surprised before seeing Danny looking a bit pale. She figured that it was probably on WHAT Danny could do to counteract King Endymion IV's ghost army. Calmly gesturing to the kitchen, Jazz watched as Danny led Serena before following herself. There, on the table, was a box of pizza and no parents still in sight. "If you are wondering about all of this pizza," said Jazz, "Well, the others forgot that I ordered it for all of us to eat and plan together."
"You didn't remind them," asked a surprised Serena.
"Not my fault they left before the pizza got here," said Jazz with a shrug of nonchalance.
"Guess we'll have pizza for tomorrow," said a thoughtful Danny, "When is mom and dad coming back?"
"The day after tomorrow," said Jazz, "Which is probably a good thing."
"Yeah," said Danny, "We have to plan."
"And speaking of plans," said Jazz before looking at Danny, "Mind telling me your idea on HOW to counteract all those ghosts that may have allied with… uh… your past father?"
"Do you remember Pariah Dark and how I defeated him," questioned Danny.
"Yeah," said Jazz.
"Well, the thing is…," started Danny.
- Next Day: After School –
"Are you going to flake out on planning again," questioned Rei accusingly.
"We didn't flake out," said Serena, "We were having a private conversation and were planning to come back to the room, but you all left."
It was a school day, but everyone had a lot of things in their minds. Jazz had the most because of the story Danny told her about Pariah Dark, Danny becoming the next in line, and also his fear of him… Dan Phantom, one future manifestation of her little brother. She couldn't wrap her head around a future EVIL Danny when the story came out. Though, to be fair, she had forgotten about Dan Phantom due to Clockwork's meddling. If she ever saw Clockwork again, it would be too soon because she would be wringing his neck for making Danny be the ONLY one who remembered that incident with Dan Phantom. Serena was also a similar mind set after Danny confessed, for the second time, about his fear of becoming him and what he accomplished after defeating Pariah Dark. She also stayed the night just to help Jazz come up with ideas on what to do with Clockwork, working the ideas to incorporate her new hidden powers. Yet, for now, Jazz, Serena, Danny, and everyone else met back up after school to discuss another day of planning. "You should have told us where you would be," said Michiru calmly, "We would have actually understood."
"Next time, I shall try to tell you," said Serena.
"Even though, she doesn't really have to," muttered Tucker.
"What was that," questioned Michiru with a small smile on her face.
"Nothing," said Tucker.
"Anyways," said Kwan, "Are we just waiting for Sam?"
Before anyone could answer Kwan, a pink dress with white wrist-covered gloved-wearing woman with orange-like hair, light green eyes, and wearing expensive dangling diamond earrings was seen walking towards the huge group. The people from Amity Park recognized her as Sam's mother, Pamela Manson. They, however, were wondering on WHY she was approaching them in the first place. With her light green eyes narrowing on Tucker and Danny, Pamela matched right towards the two. Tucker and Danny unconsciously stepped backwards because they didn't know WHY she would be narrowing her eyes at them. "You two," pointed Pamela with accusation in her tone.
"Mrs. Manson," questioned Tucker bravely.
"You two," repeated Pamela before asking, "Where did you hide Samantha!?"
"Hide," chorused everyone, including Danny and Tucker.
"Yes, hide," chided Pamela, "Samantha hasn't been home since yesterday. I also KNOW that everyone last saw her exiting YOUR house."
"Well, we haven't seen her," piped up Jazz, "Since yesterday. She stomped right out of our house and haven't called since."
"Well, SHE'S not home at all since you last saw her either," declared Pamela, "But, I know my little Samantha. She's hiding from me because she probably knew that I have another dress for her to try on."
"So, Sam didn't go back home," asked a worried Ami.
"No," said an exasperated Pamela before grumbling, "That girl."
"When we see Sam, we'll let her know that you are looking for her," said Tucker.
"Thank you," said Pamela before spinning around and marching away from the teens, determined to FIND her daughter.
Serena looked a bit worried because she knew Danny valued his friendship with Sam and Tucker the most. Call it a past life thing, but the three have been together for forever. Jazz looked a bit worried as well. Even though Sam didn't consider her much of a friend like Danny and Tucker, she couldn't deny the fact that she was getting close to the gothic girl. Tucker and Danny looked at each other in worry because they KNEW that Sam. Sam would actually NOT go home before heading back out due to seeing her mom having ANTOHER dress for her to wear. Everyone else watched Pamela leave while thinking about what Pamela said. They took out what Pamela just said about Sam hiding from another dress. All of them came to ONE conclusion though… Sam was probably kidnapped by King Endymion IV as well.
AN: Finally! (`ω´) Between the external hard drive that I SAVE these chapters while writing not working and packing my house's food to get ready for the fumigation, I'm surprised that I can FINALLY give you this chapter to push forward on this story. (ノ;;)ノ~┻━┻ I wish that the hard drive doesn't STOP working in the middle of my chapter writing though. (T⌓T) It just pushes my writing in the back corner as I TRY to get it connected to my desktop. (╥_╥) Anyways, happy reading and see ya next chapter… whenever my hard drive works until the end of writing up a chapter. |ω´・;)
