A/N: This picks up in "A Tsar is Born" when Roz's online date leaves after seeing her attacking Noel, thinking Noel tricked her. One of the funniest Roz moments, IMO.
Roz tore out of Cafe Nervosa, keeping her eyes solidly fixed on the tall, handsome man from the Bidwell's catalog as he left the cafe. Left her. Why had she listened to Frasier's suggestion that the photo she'd been sent after putting herself on the dating website was a trick? And of all people to walk in at that moment, it had to be Bulldog!
She caught up with the good-looking stranger just as he was about to step into Sharply Dressed, a menswear shop.
"Chris-wait-I can explain!" she managed to pant out. "That wasn't what it looked like!"
Chris turned to her with a doubtful look.
"All I saw was you beating up on some innocent guy," he said dryly. "What was it supposed to look like?"
"Well, this guy, he's obsessed with me," Roz fumbled. "And one of my friends suggested that someone submitted your photo to the dating website to trick me, and I assumed it was him!"
"So, at one suggestion from this friend, you assumed your match was lying?"
"Nooo...It just sounded like something that guy I was, uh, upset with, would do."
"In other words, you accused him without proof."
"No! I just assumed...Okay, so I did. But it was a mistake! Give me another chance!"
Chris looked at her disappointedly and continued into the shop. Roz followed, unwilling to give up.
"Just one more chance!" Roz begged as he swept past racks of men's formalwear and business wear.
Chris whirled to face Roz, finally losing his careful patience.
"I'm not interested, not after what I saw. So please, for both our sakes, just go. Besides, I'm very busy today!"
"Maybe later?" Roz asked hesitantly. Chris didn't answer.
"I'm doing a photoshoot for Sharply Dressed. Since we're not going on our date, I thought I'd get started early. Maybe someone will submit one of my photos to a dating website."
And he walked off without a word as his biting sarcasm hit its target. Roz stomped away, not caring about the strange looks that customers cast at her as she left the store. That was it. No more online dating, she vowed. From now on, she'd only scope out her dates face-to-face. Maybe she'd drop in at the Sure Thing tonight. And definitely never take anymore dating advice from Frasier.
