A/N - Okay, just a head's up, this chapter is INSANE! A LOT happens in this chapter, and some of you are probably going to hate me for some of the things I did in this chapter. Others may rather like this chapter. It really depends on the reader. *shrugs* Personally, I hope you enjoy the chapter. I worked hard on it.
Also, there IS a lime in this chapter, so keep an eye out for that. There's a warning before the lime in case you want to skip it.

Chapter 10 - Invasion
As soon as the match began, Kurotsuchi was forced to knock aside the cork that Gaara sent flying her way. Staring across the field at her opponent, she couldn't help but frown. According to Naruto-kun, I'm up against a jinchuriki here. This is not going to be an easy fight. She thought silently.
When Gaara sent a wave of sand towards her, Kurotsuchi stomped her foot on the ground, causing a wall of earth to rise up between her and her opponent. Rushing towards it, she swung her fist and punched the wall, sending it hurtling forward through the sand and into Gaara, causing him to go flying before crashing to the ground, skidding along it on his back.
Staring at the downed jinchuriki, she frowned as he began to rise. Quickly flipping through hand seals, she slammed her hands to the ground and shouted out, "Lava Release: Burning River!" In an instant, the ground before her erupted before a river of lava began rushing along the ground towards Gaara.
Gaara scowled and used his mastery over sand to shift the ground in front of him until it formed a pit of sand. When the river of lava flowed into it, he looked from the pit to Kurotsuchi. "Mother will taste your blood."
"Yeah? Well you're going to have to work for it little man." she taunted, causing Gaara to scowl at her. Quickly putting her fists to the ground, she focused her magic and in an instant, her forearms and fist became encased in stone. Slamming her stone fists together, she dashed towards Gaara, a grin on her face. "Ready or not little guy, here I come!"
Gaara began to send tendrils of sand flying at Kurotsuchi in an attempt to snatch her up, but she was slipping around and over them, dodging them to the best of her ability. When she reached him, Kurotsuchi threw her right fist at Gaara's face.
The sand user quickly erected a wall of sand between them, but it wasn't enough. The sheer power behind her attack broke through the wall of sand and struck him hard in the face, causing him to stumble back a few steps. When he felt liquid on his face, he reached up and brushed the liquid with his fingers before looking at them.
Upon seeing blood on his fingers, his eyes widened and he screeched out, "Blood! My blood! You've...you've made me bleed!"
Kurotsuchi, sensing danger, tried to quickly backpedal away from him, but her ankle was snatched up by his sand and she was sent flying into the wall of the arena, causing the wall to crater. Wincing in pain, she pried herself out of the wall and looked at her opponent. His sand swallowed him up and formed a dome around him. It didn't take long for her to sense the power that he was exuding.
Quickly shaking off the pain, she dismissed her earthen fists and quickly began to flash through hand seals before aiming at the dome of sand. "Lava Release: Lava Bullets Technique!" she exclaimed before spitting out a series of lava bullets that impacted against Gaara's sand dome. When they didn't break through, she frowned in confusion. That should have worked. He must have overpowered the technique to make sure it stood up against my techniques!
After a moment, the sand dome burst apart and standing there was a demonized Gaara. His sand had covered him from head to toe and he looked like a miniature Ichibi. Needless to say, Kurotsuchi didn't like this one bit.
Before she could go on the attack, she noticed feathers falling all around them both on the field and in the stands. Realizing what was happening, she quickly spiked her chakra and dispelled the genjutsu around herself. This was just in time for her to see a bunch of sand shuriken flying at her. Knowing she wouldn't be able to dodge in time, she stomped on the ground again and raised another earth wall. Sadly, it didn't rise quick enough and one of the sand shuriken embedded itself in her right shoulder, causing her to wince in pain. Thankfully, the wall stopped the rest of the shuriken.
When she heard an explosion, she chanced a glance towards the wall to see a number of Oto and Suna ninja invading the arena, going straight for the crowd of people up above in their seats. Glancing up towards the Kage's, she frowned upon seeing a purple barrier spring up around the Hokage and a person she recognized as Orochimaru. She would have thought more on the situation, but Gaara came crashing through her wall and rushing towards her.
Quickly leaping away from him, she flipped through a series of hand seals before shouting out, "Lava Release: Lava Whip Technique!" Spitting lava from her mouth, she formed a whip out of it and grasped it tight in her hand. When Gaara came charging towards her again, she whipped him in the face, leaving a deep gash in the sand. Continuing with her attack, she soon tripped the Ichibi Jinchuriki and watched as he slid along the ground on his face.
Continuing to whip him with her technique, she watched as he slowly rose to his feet and glared at her hatefully. "I'll kill you! Mother will have your blood!"
Rose & Company
Rose growled angrily as the invasion began. She was looking forward to a peaceful time, just enjoying watching the matches. She wanted dearly for her beloved to become a Chunin on his own merit, but now this?! How dare they interrupt the exams?! They will pay. She thought to herself.
Kakashi rose to his feet with Hinata doing the same after shaking off the effects of the genjutsu. Looking at Rose, he watched her rise as well and draw her Dragon Buster. "Rose-sama, what do you want to do? It looks like Hokage-sama could use some help…" Kakashi began, only to freeze when Rose leveled such an icy glare on him that it sent chills through his body.
"Is that your choice Kakashi? To side with the Hokage and this village? I do not mind protecting the people of the village, namely the young ninja that haven't done anything to wrong Naruto or myself. However, I will not aid the Hokage, Jiraiya, or anyone that believes in their ideals. The Hokage betrayed the trust Naruto and I placed in him. He cannot be trusted!" Rose declared angrily.
Kakashi winced, not quite expecting such a harsh reaction from Rose. However, try as he might to choose otherwise, he had always been loyal to the Hokage and to Konoha as a whole. Releasing a sigh, Kakashi looked Rose in the eye and said, "My loyalty is to Konoha and Hokage-sama. I am sorry Rose-sama, but that's just how it is."
Holding out her hand, Rose said, "Hand over your Dragoon Spirit. You are no longer worthy to hold that Dragoon Spirit. From this point forward, you are no longer one of us."
The silver-haired jonin sighed and held up his Dragoon Spirit. Looking at it, he decided to test something. Attempting to transform into a Dragoon, he wasn't surprised when he was no longer able to. It was as if the Dragoon Spirit itself was rejecting him. So, with another heavy sigh, Kakashi placed the Violet Dragoon Spirit and Haschel's weapon in Rose's outstretched hands. "For what it's worth...I'm sorry." he said before he vanished in a Body Flicker to go and help out the people in the audience.
As Rose looked down at the items in her hands, she released a sigh and shook her head. "Rose-sama? What are we going to do now?" she heard Hinata ask her.
Looking at Hinata, Rose slipped the items away in her pack and shook her head in disappointment. "We'll need to find a new Violet Dragoon. But first...let's push back the invaders." she said, releasing a heavy sigh afterwards. "Naruto's not going to be happy about this."
Hinata frowned and nodded her head in agreement. "He's going to be angry. Very angry. This is another betrayal from somebody he trusted."
Nodding, Rose looked at the White-Silver Dragoon and motioned for her to follow. "Come. Let us destroy our enemies."
Hiruzen & Orochimaru
Orochimaru scowled at his sensei as he broke free from his hold and took a battle stance. After a moment of silence passed between them, Orochimaru decided to ask a question that had been bugging him for some time now. "Do tell me sensei...where is Sasuke-kun?"
The Sandaime smirked as he summoned Enma, who transformed into the adamantine bo staff for Hiruzen to wield. "Sasuke? He's dead. After all, he was a traitor to the village, willing to run to you for power. I'd say he got what he deserved."
Growling angrily at this, Orochimaru thrust out his hand and shouted out, "Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!" When a bunch of snakes shot out of his sleeve and rushed towards Hiruzen, he wasn't surprised to see his sensei block the attack and decapitate his snakes with the staff he wielded. "How dare you execute Sasuke-kun?! I needed him damn it!"
Hiruzen chuckled at this and shook his head. "It wasn't me. Naruto-kun was the one to end Sasuke's life. He did what any true Konoha shinobi should and would have done." the Sandaime said, throwing Naruto under the bus intentionally.
Snarling at this, Orochimaru clenched his fists and glanced down towards the fighter's box where Naruto was last seen. "I see. So he's responsible for denying me my body, is he? I never thought that one of them would kill the other. If only Naruto still had the curse mark, I could take him instead. Oh well."
Grinning, the Sandaime Hokage lunged forward, aiming for Orochimaru's head. When his student dodged, he propped the staff against his body and flipped through hand seals quickly. After a moment, he unleashed a quick combination technique to try and take down his student.
Orochimaru blocked the technique with one of his own before narrowing his eyes at his sensei. "Tell me, what kind of game are you playing sensei? It's not like you to purposely release information like that to me. Normally you would try to protect Naruto-kun, not make him the target of my ire. So what are you up to?"
Hiruzen sighed as he stared straight into his student's eyes. "If you really want to know, I suppose I can tell you. Naruto-kun needs to undergo trials in his life if he wants to get stronger. Being protected by Rose all the time will prevent his skills from advancing any further. A weapon like Naruto-kun cannot be allowed to rust. So I arranged to have him attacked the other night to try and test his abilities. Sakura was just a hapless victim in the attack, but it doesn't matter. So long as Naruto's skills continue to grow, it's all worth it. You're just another trial for him to overcome. And he will overcome you Orochimaru. I may not survive this day, but at least I can ensure he is left with a parting gift. There's a reason I didn't punish Jiraiya-kun for eavesdropping on us during what was supposed to be a private conversation. I wanted him to remove Rose from the picture, but he failed me. But you? I'm placing my trust in you Orochimaru to do what needs to be done. I suppose you could say I'm using you to further my own goals, even if I die here today."
The Snake Sannin frowned at this and shook his head in disbelief. "You're...cold sensei. Colder than even I could be. To think you'd go so far...you've fallen further than even I could imagine. You're right though, I am going to kill you. But now? Now I'm doing it for Naruto-kun. I will not have you destroying any faith he has in people. He's an innocent and you're being far, far too cruel."
"Since when did you grow a heart Orochimaru-kun? You never used to care for anyone other than yourself. But now? It sounds like you genuinely care for Naruto-kun. He's a weapon! That's all he'll ever be!" Hiruzen exclaimed angrily.
Orochimaru scowled and shook his head. "No sensei. Naruto-kun is something far more precious. I will not let you destroy his life!" he declared before he resumed the battle with his sensei.
Naruto
Naruto scowled as he watched the invaders rush the audience. Looking around at everyone, he could see that the shinobi of Konohagakure were fighting their hardest to keep the citizens and guests safe from harm. Glancing to his side, he saw Haku and Shikamaru standing beside him on his sides. "This invasion just screams Orochimaru to me. We need to get out there and help the people. Shikamaru, Haku-chan, can I count on the two of you to help evacuate the citizens to the shelters? Afterwards, head to the hospital and try to defend it from attack." he ordered.
Shikamaru nodded in understanding before he asked, "What about you Naruto? What will you be doing?"
The blonde sighed and shook his head as he pointed down at the field where Kankuro and Temari were now doing battle with Anko. "I'm going down there to see if I can do something about those two." he said simply.
Nodding in understanding, Naruto's teammates prepared to head off. However, Haku stopped and wrapped her arms around Naruto before kissing him passionately. When they pulled away, she leaned in and whispered to him, "When this invasion is over, I want some of your loving. You'd best be prepared my darling." she said before reaching into his pants and massaging his dick for a moment until he hardened in her hand. Pulling her hand back, she giggled at his agonized look before kissing him again. "I love you." she said before she vanished with Shikamaru.
Groaning in discomfort, Naruto brought a hand to his face and shook his head. Why Haku-chan? Why must you do things like that to me? He thought tiredly.
With a sigh, Naruto leapt down into the arena and dashed forward, ramming into Kankuro's back and sending him tumbling along the ground before landing in a heap. Looking at Temari, he frowned and shook his head. "Why are you doing this? Haven't you noticed that your 'Kazekage' up there was actually Orochimaru in disguise? What do you think that means?!" he questioned angrily.
Eyes widening, Temari looked up towards the Kage booth and frowned. She didn't see her father anywhere! Instead, she could see Orochimaru wearing the robes of the Kazekage as he fought against the Sandaime Hokage. Turning back to face Naruto, she scowled at him. "Where's our father?!"
Anko piped up at this point as she held a kunai to Kankuro's throat. "If you ask me, I'd say Orochimaru probably assassinated him. He's probably been impersonating your father for some time now."
Kankuro's and Temari's eyes widened at this bit of news. Lowering his hand that he was using to control his puppets, he watched as Anko pulled her kunai away from his throat. Temari, meanwhile, closed her iron fan and sighed as she looked down at the ground. "I...almost can't believe it. Father wasn't the best man in the world, but he was still our father. What are we supposed to do now?" she asked.
Naruto said, "You can help put an end to this invasion. Inform as many Suna shinobi as you can that the Kazekage was murdered and this was all a setup by Orochimaru. If you help us, I'm positive that the Council will go easy on you."
Kankuro sat up and looked at Naruto unsurely. "How do we know they won't try to have us executed for attacking your village?"
Naruto smirked. "Because I'll vouch for you! I may not be well liked, but my word does carry some weight. I'm sure everything will be okay."
Temari smiled at Naruto and bowed her head to him. "Thank you Naruto-san. We'll help put an end to this invasion, one way or another. Just...take care of yourself and be safe." she said before she and her brother disappeared to spread the word to as many Suna ninja as they could that their Kazekage had been murdered and replaced by Orochimaru.
"Smooth talking there Naruto. I'm impressed." Anko said with a grin as she sauntered over to him and threw her arm around his shoulder. Smirking down at him, she pulled his head into her breasts and giggled as he struggled to free himself. "Ahh, the fun of tormenting you Genin." she said before she released him, allowing Naruto to take in a gasp of air.
"What the hell Anko-san?! Are you trying to suffocate me?" he asked irritably, though the massive blush on his face made it seem like he wasn't all that angry.
Glancing down, Anko pointed to his crotch and grinned. "Well, I'd say you're pretty 'happy' Naruto. Does Anko-chan turn you on?" she asked, giggling afterwards.
Blushing worse, Naruto turned away and huffed. "S-stop staring at my dick! I can't help it okay?! Haku-chan got me all horny, and then your breasts...oh Kami, I'm turning into a pervert!" he exclaimed in horror.
Laughing uproariously, Anko walked over and wrapped her arms around him from behind. Pulling him flush against her, she allowed his head to rest against her breasts. "You're too cute. You're going to be a fun one to tease." she said with a grin.
Naruto sighed and just focused on trying to will his little buddy down. "You're enjoying this, aren't you?"
Nodding her head, Anko leaned down and whispered in his ear. "Oh, very much so. After all, you're cute. I can't resist wanting to play with you a bit." she admitted.
Sighing again, Naruto just nodded his head before he pointed towards the fight taking place between Kurotsuchi and Gaara. "Should we do something about that?"
Anko shook her head and smiled down at him. "Nah. It looks like Kuro-chan can handle it. But if you want to keep an eye on her to make sure she stays safe, you're more than welcome to. Personally though? I'd recommend getting out there and helping the people." she recommended.
Nodding slowly, Naruto turned around and looked into Anko's eyes. "I'll get to work on evacuating the citizens in the village. What are you going to do?"
Grinning down at him, she pointed up towards the audience. "I'm going to play a little. Might as well make 'em suffer, right?"
Chuckling a bit, Naruto nodded before he pried Anko's arms off of him. Waving goodbye to her, he soon vanished in a Body Flicker to go help out in the village.
After he was gone, Anko couldn't help but smirk to herself. He's a cute one. I like him. Might be fun to tease him a little more often. She thought before she leapt into the stands to help protect the audience.
Kurotsuchi vs. Gaara
As Gaara became more and more unstable, Kurotsuchi found herself having to dodge his ever quickening attacks. Dodging another slew of sand shuriken, she unleashed another Lava Release jutsu, pelting him with large balls of molten lava.
When the Ichibi jinchuriki began to thrash around, Kurotsuchi charged at him with her axe at the ready. However, when she swung it, aiming to lop off his arm, he used his tail to grab the handle of her axe and rip it from her grip, tossing it to the side. "Die!" he exclaimed as he backhanded her, sending her flying in the opposite direction of her weapon.
As she tumbled along the ground, Kurotsuchi groaned in pain. Pushing herself to her feet, she glared towards the jinchuriki and shook her head to clear the cobwebs from her mind. "Damned bastard's hard to beat." she muttered to herself as she tried to think of some plan to finish her foe off.
Gaara glared at Kurotsuchi before he roared and sand began to envelop him once again. As he began to grow larger and larger, she sweatdropped, realizing what was happening. Shit. He's releasing the Ichibi!
By the time he finished growing, Kurotsuchi was looking at a massive beast. When she saw Gaara emerge from the Ichibi's head, she frowned in confusion. What's he doing?
The redheaded jinchuriki stared down at his opponent with a sadistic grin on his face. "I will have your blood! Feigning Sleep Technique!" he exclaimed before he slumped forward unconscious.
All throughout Konoha, the Ichibi's screech could be heard, causing many of them to clutch their ears as they tried to stem off the coming headaches. When the Ichibi finally calmed down, it looked around at its surroundings before staring down at Kurotsuchi. "I'm finally free baby! It's time to play!" he exclaimed before attempting to squash the Golden Dragoon.
Kurotsuchi, not seeing much of an option, stomped her feet and raised a giant fist made of earth to fend off the Ichibi's large foot. When sand began to rain down around her, she knew she was in trouble. Quickly leaping away, she glared up at Gaara and thought to herself, I need to get up there and wake him up. I didn't want to have to do this, but it's time to transform!
As the Ichibi attempted to crush her again, Kurotsuchi leapt away and clung to the arena's wall. Clutching her Dragoon Spirit tight, she focused on its power and transformed into her Dragoon form. Glancing around for her axe, she saw it next to one of the Ichibi's back legs. This is going to suuuuck. She thought to herself as she began flying as fast as she could underneath the gigantic beast. When tendrils of sand began lashing out at her, she kept dodging as best she could.
As soon as she got close to her weapon, she reached out to grab it, only to suddenly be slapped aside by a rather large tendril of sand. Tumbling along the ground, she winced in agony. Damnit! I need to retrieve my weapon!
Getting up, Kurotsuchi decided to try again. This time she pushed herself to fly even faster and continued to avoid the sand to the best of her ability. Upon reaching her axe, she quickly reached out and grabbed it before flying away from the mighty beast.
Looking up at Gaara, she flew high into the sky before deciding to go with a Dragoon Addition. Swooping down, she slammed the flat side of her axe against him before zipping away and then back in again, hitting him once more. She continued this for some time until Gaara was a battered and bruised mess.
As Gaara opened his eyes, he winced in agony before he heard the Ichibi cry out, "Nooo! Damnit! I was so close!" It was after this that the sand monster began to break apart and Gaara began falling to the ground below. Quickly swooping down, Kurotsuchi caught him and landed on the ground gently right before her transformation ended.
When Gaara looked into her eyes, he asked, "Why? Why did you save me?"
Frowning at him, the Golden Dragoon placed him on his feet and smiled at him. "Because you don't deserve to die like that. Just because you're a jinchuriki doesn't mean you're a monster. Yes, you're a little off your rocker, but I don't think it's your fault."
Looking into her eyes, almost as if he was searching for something within them, Gaara nodded slowly. "I see. Thank you for your kindness. But tell me something...how did you get so strong? I thought true strength came from fighting only for yourself. But...you beat me. What's your secret?"
Smiling at him, Kurotsuchi patted him on the shoulder gently. "I don't fight solely for myself Gaara. I have friends and family that I fight for. Fighting to keep others safe and fighting to prove yourself to your friends and family is the secret to true strength. You have siblings Gaara. Siblings that cherish you and want to be close to you. Try to let them in, okay?"
Nodding slowly, Gaara thanked her again before looking around. "It looks like the fighting is dying down." he noted. "I'm going to be captured and taken in for questioning soon, aren't I?"
Frowning at this, Kurotsuchi looked at him sadly. "Yes Gaara. But I promise that if you're honest and don't try to hide anything, you'll be alright. Naruto-kun and I will vouch for you and try to keep you safe. I'm sure Rose-sama will do what she can as well. Just...trust in us. Okay?"
"Thank you." Gaara said as a group of Konoha ninja surrounded the two of them. Looking around at them, Gaara remained still and allowed them to approach him. When one of the ANBU placed her hand on his shoulder, he looked into Kurotsuchi's eyes and said, "Please look over me…" before the ANBU vanished with him in a Body Flicker.
Looking around at the ANBU around her, Kurotsuchi frowned. "Did you really need that many ANBU to take him into custody?" she questioned as her hand began to clench her weapon tightly, just in case they tried something with her.
"We're going to have to ask you to come with us Kurotsuchi. Hokage's orders." the lead ANBU said as he approached her.
Frowning at this, Kurotsuchi swung her axe at him, causing him to jump back out of the way. "No way! If you're acting on his orders, then you've got nothing good planned for me!" she exclaimed angrily.
"I see. So that's your choice then?" the same ANBU asked disappointedly. "Fine then. Get her!" he exclaimed.
Damnit! I'm exhausted from my fight against Gaara! Please! Somebody help me! She pleaded in her mind as she began to fight them off to the best of her ability.
When one of them landed a blow and knocked her to the ground, Kurotsuchi groaned in pain and tried to struggle to her feet, but her body just wouldn't listen to her. She was far too exhausted and in too much pain as it was to do anything more.
As the ANBU approached her, she closed her eyes and let tears flow down her cheeks. I don't want this! Somebody help me!
Kurotsuchi heard screaming and opened her eyes to see Rose and Naruto standing there, both of them having killed a number of the ANBU before they could get to her. "Leave her alone you scumbags!" Naruto exclaimed angrily.
Rose narrowed her eyes on them before glancing over her shoulder. "Are you alright Kurotsuchi?"
The young woman nodded slowly before pushing herself back onto her feet. Wobbling a bit, she braced herself with her axe and looked at the few remaining ANBU. "I'm okay now. Thank you for rescuing me." she said. "What the hell do they even want with me?"
The Darkness Dragoon shook her head and frowned. "I don't know, but I heard what they said. They're acting on the Hokage's orders. I don't understand it, but he's definitely after something…"
Naruto scowled and transformed into a Dragoon before flapping his wings and shouting out, "Wing Blaster!" It didn't take long for Naruto's spell to shred the remaining ANBU apart. When they collapsed to the ground, he turned and glared up at where he knew the Hokage was battling Orochimaru. "If Orochimaru doesn't kill you old man, I will." he vowed.
Hiruzen & Orochimaru
The Tsuchikage was watching from outside the barrier. While he could have destroyed it with his Dust Release techniques, he remembered something his granddaughter had told him. The Hokage can't be trusted.
This opinion only became solidified when he heard everything the Hokage had told Orochimaru about his plans for Naruto. Scowling at this, Onoki contemplated breaking through the barrier so he could kill Hiruzen himself. However, he decided to take a wait and see approach, allowing Orochimaru to do battle with the old man.
Inside the barrier, Orochimaru scowled as his plan to use the past Hokage's was foiled by the old man. He had somehow managed to seal their souls away within the stomach of the Shinigami, and was now attempting to do the same to him. Struggling hard against his sensei, Orochimaru summoned his discarded sword and had it pierce through the Hokage's back, piercing his heart.
Unfortunately for Orochimaru, the Hokage had just enough life left in him to seal away his arms and his ability to use ninjutsu and other such techniques. Screaming from the pain he felt, Orochimaru soon summoned the Sound Four to his side and allowed them to begin carrying him off. Damnit Hiruzen! You deserved worse you rotten bastard! How dare you do this to me?! He thought angrily to himself.
As he was carried off, Orochimaru happened to glance down and looked Naruto right in the eyes. Be safe Naruto-kun. I'll be seeing you soon.
Watching as Orochimaru disappeared with the Sound Four, Naruto found himself frowning. The Snake Sannin had looked right at him, but not with the hungry look he had before in the Forest of Death. No, this look was one of concern. I don't get it. What the hell does he want with me? He wondered.
As Rose went to say something to her beloved, her danger sense warned her of impending danger. Dashing forward, she turned around to see that Jiraiya had attempted to slap a seal on her. Narrowing her eyes at him, she pointed the Dragon Buster at him. "What the hell were you just trying to do to me?"
Scowling at her, Jiraiya scoffed. "You need to be disposed of Rose. You're not good for this village, nor are you good for Naruto. He has a destiny that he has to fulfill and I won't have you ruining it!"
Naruto glared at Jiraiya and pointed his lance at him. "That seal...what would it have done to her?"
Smirking at his godson, Jiraiya waved the seal around in the air before him. "She'd have received quite the shock to her nervous system. She'd have been paralyzed and we'd have been able to do whatever we wanted with her. What do you care about it anyways? She's corrupted your mind!"
Snarling, Naruto prepared to lunge at Jiraiya, but a hand on his shoulder stopped him. Glancing back over his shoulder, he saw Hinata standing there, shaking her head at him. "Don't. He's got something prepared for you as well." she said, pointing to her Byakugan. "He's hidden it well, but I can see it. Jiraiya's prepared to stop you as well."
Frowning at this, Naruto looked back at Jiraiya and narrowed his eyes. "Thank you Hinata-chan. I'll be careful."
Rose glared at Jiraiya and took a few steps towards him. "You're going to suffer Jiraiya. Then, you'll die. I'm not allowing you to leave here alive."
Chuckling at this, the white-haired Sannin relaxed his posture and said, "Come on. Show me what you've got you stupid bitch."
Smirking at Jiraiya, Rose transformed into a Dragoon and pointed her weapon at him. "Die! Demon's Gate!" she exclaimed, a large drop of darkness magic dropping to the ground below her. After a moment, Jiraiya watched as some kind of illusion showed Rose being split in half. Afterwards, he watched as a large gate with a swirling vortex in the center of it appeared before him.
As the gate began trying to suck him in, Jiraiya poured chakra through his feet and attempted to remain rooted in place. "Damn...it…" he grunted, fighting hard against the pull of the gate. When it looked as if he was about to be sucked in, he bit his thumb and went through a series of hand seals before slamming his hand to the ground and shouted out, "Summoning Technique!"
After the puff of smoke cleared, it revealed Jiraiya standing atop a giant toad that was smoking a pipe. It had a giant sword strapped to its hip. When the spell ended, Jiraiya breathed a sigh of relief and patted the giant toad on the head. "Thanks for the help Bunta. Think you can help me out here?" he asked hopefully.
Rolling his eyes up to look atop his head, Gamabunta grumbled. "Why exactly did you summon me here Jiraiya?" he questioned grumpily.
Pointing down at the Dragoons, Jiraiya said, "I'm trying to remove the girls from the picture, namely the one in the winged armor. They've been corrupting my godson and need to suffer for it."
Looking down at the people below him, Gamabunta's lips turned downwards in a frown. "Isn't that Minato's kid down there? He looks pretty pissed."
"That's because he's been tricked into fighting against me! That woman's corrupted his mind Bunta! Please, help me deal with that bitch!" Jiraiya pleaded.
Looking at the blonde teenager, the toad continued to frown as he thought over the situation. He would have said more, but he soon heard Naruto's voice. Looking down at the young man, he listened to what he had to say.
"Mister Toad, sir? Jiraiya's lying to you! Rose-chan hasn't corrupted my mind! I'm a Dragoon and she's been nothing but kind to me. She's helped guide me for the past four years and I've become so much stronger because of her guidance! I'm happy with Rose-chan and my fellow Dragoons! Jiraiya is trying to take that all away and wants to hurt Rose-chan! So please Mister Toad, don't help Jiraiya! He's a corrupt bastard that doesn't deserve our kindness!"
Humming in thought, Gamabunta looked from Naruto to the Darkness Dragoon, simply staring at her with a curious eye. "You say you're happy with her? Tell me child, what is your relationship with this woman?"
Naruto blushed a bit and scratched at the tip of his nose. "Well...Rose-chan helped raise me for the past four years. But...we're in love. She's my girlfriend! If you help Jiraiya harm her...I'll never forgive you for it!"
Nodding slowly, Gamabunta looked up at Jiraiya before reaching up and swatting him off of his head. Glaring at the white-haired Sannin as he braced himself against the arena wall, he was tempted to draw his blade and dice the bastard into a million pieces. "You will receive no help from me Jiraiya! If this woman makes Minato's child happy, then she's okay in my book. You're on your own!" his voice boomed.
Looking back down at Naruto, Gamabunta smirked at him. "Fukasaku-sama's going to want to see you soon. Be expecting a visit from him in the near future." he said before he returned to Mt. Myoboku, disappearing in a cloud of smoke.
Growling as he struggled to keep himself from shaking, Jiraiya glared at the Dragoons. "Fine. I'll just have to defeat you on my own." he said as he began walking towards them. Once he had recovered enough, he disappeared in a flash of speed before landing a harsh punch to Kurotsuchi's abdomen, making her cough up blood before she went flying into the wall hard.
Turning to Rose, Jiraiya prepared his seal again and smirked at her. "You may be fast, bitch, but you're nothing compared to me. I'll show you the power of a Sannin!" he exclaimed before disappearing in a burst of speed to try and slap the seal on her.
Once Jiraiya was in range, Rose swung her sword and lopped off the arm that was holding the seal. Watching as it fell to the ground, she quickly swung her sword again, slashing upwards at a diagonal. When the upper half of Jiraiya's body slid off and fell to the ground, she stared at the bisected Sannin. As the last bit of life fled his eyes, she sheathed her sword and shook her head. "Damn him." she muttered.
When ANBU appeared and surrounded them once again, Naruto and Rose couldn't help but sigh. "What now?" Naruto questioned angrily.
"You're under arrest for the murder of Jiraiya-sama. Surrender yourselves to us and we'll show you mercy."
As Rose prepared to fight again, she was stopped when one member of the ANBU walked up with a kunai pressed against Kurotsuchi's throat. "We're sorry to do this, but it would be best if you cooperated. Please come with us Rose-sama, Naruto." the lead ANBU said.
Scowling, Rose slowly sheathed her blade and looked at Naruto as he put away his weapon as well. Afterwards, two members of the ANBU placed their hands on the Dragoons' shoulders before they all vanished to the Council Chambers.
Looking around at the Council members, Rose frowned and shook her head. "You're lucky the invasion's over now, or else I'd call you all idiots for ignoring your duty to protect the village."
Koharu frowned and stepped forward, staring down at Rose. "You've been charged with the murder of Jiraiya of the Sannin. Do you have anything to say for yourself?"
Rose sighed and shook her head, clearly annoyed. "Jiraiya attacked the three of us first. We defended ourselves. It's as simple as that."
Homura frowned and shook his head. "Why would Jiraiya attack you like that? Surely you must be joking. There's no reason for him to go after you like that."
Scowling, Rose was about to respond when Naruto beat her to the punch. "Elders, Jiraiya believed in some prophecy of his so much that he couldn't bear the thought of me choosing to be something other than what he wanted me to be. Rose-chan raised me from the age of 10 and helped me become something special. Jiraiya felt that Rose-chan's influence on me was corrupting me and claimed it was going to screw up the prophecy. He went mad and attacked us during the month's break, and we defended ourselves then as well. Yes, I'll admit that we cut off what made him a man, and we hoped that he would have left us alone after that. However…"
Homura frowned at this news and released a heavy sigh. "He attacked you again today. Is that correct?"
Rose nodded. "Jiraiya was a fool. Naruto is destined for great things. That much is certain. But Jiraiya wanted to control the prophecy so things went the way he wanted them to go. He couldn't stand the fact that Naruto was in my care and that he became something like me. If we hadn't ended his life, he would have continued to hound us, probably even attacking us, in order to get his way. So I will not apologize for ending his life. I was protecting Naruto and the future of those like me."
Koharu frowned at her. "Be that as it may, we had need of his spy network. Without him, we've lost access to that. You must be held accountable."
Before anyone could say anything more, Inoichi spoke up. "No. Rose-sama was simply defending herself and those under her care. She should not be punished for that. It sounds to me like Jiraiya-sama brought it on himself. We can always build a new spy network, but we need Rose-sama and her charges. They've become a vital part of our village and…"
Homura interrupted him by saying, "You're only saying such a thing because your daughter is dating Naruto Uzumaki. If that wasn't the case, you'd be agreeing with us that they need to be punished."
The Yamanaka clan head scowled and shook his head. "I assure you Homura that that is not the case. Yes, my daughter is dating Naruto and I'm more than happy for her, but that does not influence my decision in this matter. Rose-sama and her charges are powerful and they have done nothing but good for this village since she joined our village. If you imprison her for defending herself, then what kind of example does that present?"
Before the Elders could respond, Shikaku spoke up. "Jiraiya brought it on himself. You know as well as we do that Jiraiya was obsessed with that prophecy ever since it was told to him. If anything 'threatened' that prophecy or how Jiraiya wanted things to play out, it was only a matter of time before he attempted to 'fix' it. In this case, he felt the proper way to fix it was to kill Rose-sama. So therefore, Rose-sama should not be punished. Does anyone disagree with me?"
Looking around at the other clan heads and then at the Civilian Council, he saw that everyone seemed to be in agreement. Turning back to the Elders, he said, "See? Everybody here is in agreement. So what do you have to say now?"
Koharu scowled, but decided to leave it alone. "Fine then. Nobody will be punished for the death of Jiraiya. However, what about the ANBU that attempted to take Kurotsuchi into custody? They were murdered in cold blood."
Shikaku frowned at this bit of news, but he soon spoke up. "Why were they attempting to take her into custody in the first place? She's joined our village and was fighting to defend it from Gaara. There was absolutely no reason to do that."
"Because Hiruzen and his old teammates wanted to have some leverage over me so when we finalized our alliance, everything would end up in their favor." Onoki's voice was heard as he entered the Council Chambers. "Isn't that right you old bats?"
Flinching, Homura and Koharu looked away, trying to act innocent. However, Inoichi narrowed his eyes on them and shook his head in disgust. "You would stoop to such lows to ensure we got the better deal out of the alliance? An alliance should be built on trust! What you've done may very well cost us the alliance we hoped to form with Onoki-dono and Iwagakure!"
Onoki nodded his head in the affirmative. "Actually, their actions have ruined any chance for an alliance with my village. To think I believed in Hiruzen to be honorable about this." he said, shaking his head in disgust. "To make matters even worse, I heard what your Hokage told Orochimaru regarding young Naruto-kun here. And let's just say I'm far less than pleased."
Rose quirked a brow and turned to face the Tsuchikage. "Do explain. I'm rather curious to see what his reasons were for betraying us the way he did."
Nodding his head, the short man began to explain, "Hiruzen viewed Naruto-kun as a weapon first and foremost. And he said that a weapon like Naruto-kun could not be allowed to rust and become useless. He felt that you, Rose-dono, were pampering Naruto-kun and weren't letting him grow to reach his full potential. In fact, he arranged the attack on Naruto and that young lady, Sakura I think her name was. It was a 'test' to push Naruto-kun to his limits so he could grow stronger from it. And to top it all off, Hiruzen informed Orochimaru that Naruto-kun was the one to kill Sasuke Uchiha, thus painting a rather large target on Naruto-kun's back. He wanted to ensure that Naruto-kun was pushed to his utmost limits as often as possible so his precious 'weapon' could grow stronger and stronger. His aim was to control young Naruto-kun and turn him into a proper weapon. It's quite disappointing when you think about it. He lost that Will of Fire he preached about long ago it would seem."
Rose growled and clenched her fists tightly. "That...that rotten bastard! How dare he?!" she exclaimed. It was then that she noticed the Elders were sweating and looking anywhere but at her and Naruto. "You two...were you in on this ploy?!"
Before the Elders could defend themselves, Onoki spoke up. "Of course they were. They served as Hiruzen's advisors and naturally they knew about the plan. In fact, I'm positive they helped Hiruzen come up with ideas for how to 'improve their weapon'. If you ask me, I'd say they've been in power for far too long."
"Why?" Naruto asked. "Why would you go so far? Because of that attack on Sakura and me...her parents are refusing to let us see each other! If you hadn't...if you hadn't…" Gritting his teeth, Naruto couldn't finish what he wanted to say. He was just too...too furious!
Onoki placed his hand on Naruto's shoulder and smiled at him. "Calm yourself Naruto-kun." he said. "They won't get away with what they've done."
Inoichi nodded his head as he rose from his chair. "Damn right they won't." he said, stepping closer to the Elders. "ANBU! Arrest those two and take them to Ibiki! Tell him I want him to extract every last bit of information he can from these two! I want him to find out every crime they've ever committed."
When the ANBU appeared, the Elders glared at them. "What do you think you're doing?! You don't follow his orders! You follow ours! And we say to throw that bitch down there in prison for her crimes!" Homura yelled at them. The ANBU shook their heads before grabbing the Elders and vanishing with them.
Once they were gone, Inoichi sat back down and released a heavy sigh. "Damn them." he muttered under his breath. "Rotten old crones."
Shikaku sighed before looking down at Rose, Naruto, and Kurotsuchi. "We have another topic we need to discuss. We are in need of a new Hokage. The best person I can think of for the job would be Tsunade Senju, but she hasn't been back to the village in years. If we had access to Jiraiya's spy network, that would make finding her easier, but…"
Rose sighed and shook her head. "I'm not apologizing for what I did. But…" Looking around at everyone, she smirked at them. "I will do what I can to help you find this Tsunade. I just hope she's a better person than some people I know." she grumbled out.
The Nara head scratched at his chin before nodding his assent. "Very well. If you're volunteering to hunt down Tsunade, then we'll permit it. Who do you plan to take with you?"
The Darkness Dragoon looked at Naruto and Kurotsuchi before she returned her gaze to Shikaku. "I'm taking Naruto, Kurotsuchi, Hinata, and Haku with me. We're a team and I'm not leaving them behind."
Nodding his head in understanding, Shikaku looked at the other Council members for a moment. "Does anyone have any objections?" When nobody objected, he offered a smile to Rose and waved his hand in a dismissive gesture. "Very well then. You and your team should prepare yourselves for at least a month or two. It may take some time to find her. However, one tip I can offer is to keep your eyes and ears open for any big gambling event that might be going on. Tsunade-sama is bound to be drawn to something like that."
Rose nodded in understanding before turning around. "If that is all, we'll take our leave now. We need to prepare for the mission." she said.
Shikaku nodded with a small smirk on his face. "You're dismissed. Thank you for your time. We'll try to hold down the fort while you're away." he said.
As the Dragoons left the room, Onoki looked after them, a smile on his face. "Hmph. I hope they find her sooner rather than later. Your village can't go without a Hokage for too long." he said, looking back at Shikaku. "Perhaps Tsunade will be the Hokage this village needs. I do hope she'll be better than Hiruzen."
Releasing a sigh, the Nara head looked down at the petite man. "What are your plans for the near future Onoki-dono? I do hope you aren't planning to assault Konoha while we're without a Hokage to lead us?"
Onoki waved him off. "Meh. My granddaughter's here now. There's no way I'd attack this village, no matter how disappointed in its leaders I am. So you have nothing to worry about from me. Now, if that's all, then I'll be on my way. I need to return to my village before they start to worry about me." he said with a chuckle.
Shikaku nodded his head. "That will be all Onoki-dono. Do take care of yourself."
"I always do. Take care Nara." the old man said before he left the Council Chambers.
Inoichi looked to his dear friend and frowned. "Shikaku...what do you think the odds are that Rose-sama and those that live with her will remain in Konoha? They've been betrayed on a deep level and their trust in us and the village has to have been shattered because of it. I hope they don't leave, but…"
The Nara clan head shook his head and closed his eyes. "I'm afraid I don't know Inoichi. But if I had to chance a guess...I'd say that the odds are Rose will take her charges and leave the village soon enough. Hiruzen really screwed them over bad." He released a heavy sigh and shook his head. "It's all just so damn troublesome."
Choza frowned as he looked at his friends. "Surely there's something we can do to convince them to remain here in Konoha? As much as I hate to say it, we need our jinchuriki. If he were to leave…"
Shikaku sighed and shook his head. "He's a person Choza. Not a weapon. If he chooses to leave, then there's little we can do to stop him besides threatening to label him a missing nin. Even then, I doubt he'd care all that much."
Everyone released heavy sighs at this point. None of them were sure what they could or should do next. All they could do was hope Rose didn't take her fellow Dragoons and leave the village.
Uzumaki-Namikaze Estate
Upon arriving at their home, the three Dragoons saw Kakashi standing there chatting with Haku and Hinata. Frowning at him, Rose stepped forward and narrowed her eyes at him. "What are you doing here Kakashi?"
Kakashi turned and offered Rose an eye-smile. "I'm merely here to collect my things, then I'll be out of your hair. But first, I figured I'd chat with these two a while. We are comrades after all."
Folding her arms across her chest, slightly pushing up her breasts as she did so, Rose glared hard into his eye. "You betrayed us Kakashi. You chose a corrupt Hokage over the Dragoons. I recommend that you collect your things and get out of here."
The silver-haired jonin sighed disappointedly before nodding his head slowly. "As you wish Rose-sama. I do hope you all take care of yourselves." he said before heading inside to collect his belongings.
Naruto frowned as he looked at Rose. "So he chose his loyalty to the village and to the Hokage over us, huh? I...expected as much. Did you take Haschel's weapon and his Dragoon Spirit back from him?"
Rose nodded slowly. "Yes, I did. I'll put Haschel's weapon away in our safe and we'll take the Dragoon Spirits with us. Who knows? We might find another Dragoon while we're out on this mission." she said with a smile.
"I certainly hope so. It would help make this whole situation worth it." he said. "But...I have to admit that I'm disappointed in Kakashi. I had hoped he would choose us…"
"Sorry to let you down Naruto-kun. But...my loyalty is and always has been to the village above all else. I just couldn't betray the village for the Dragoons." Kakashi said as he walked up to them with a bag over his shoulder.
"It's...fine Kakashi-sensei. It just sucks. You should probably get going though before Rose-chan gets really mad." Naruto replied.
Nodding slowly, Kakashi patted Naruto on the head before he left the premises. Once he was gone, Rose released a heavy sigh and shook her head. "Let's get our things packed and head on out. The sooner we're out of this village, the better." she said grumpily before heading inside the house.
Naruto sighed and followed her inside with the other three Dragoons following after him. Once inside, he ventured up the stairs to his room and began to pack everything he'd need for the next month or so.
After a short while, he heard a knock on his bedroom door. Glancing back over his shoulder, he saw Kurotsuchi standing there, looking at him a little unsurely. Standing up, he turned to her and said, "What's up Kuro-chan? Is everything okay?"
Kurotsuchi shook her head in the negative before she walked up to Naruto and hugged him tight. Resting her head on his chest, she closed her eyes and sighed. "Thank you Naru-kun. For coming to my rescue earlier, I mean. I was...I was scared. I wasn't sure what to do, and when I thought they were going to take me...you and Rose-sama saved me. I owe you so much."
Naruto smiled at her and hugged her close. When he went to speak however, he felt Kurotsuchi's lips cover his. Eyes widening, he started blushing deeply before he began to slowly return her kiss. When they parted, Kurotsuchi said, "Naru-kun...I really, really like you. I know my grandpa would approve of us being together, but…"
The blonde nodded slowly in understanding. "You're worried about what Rose would think, aren't you? You're worried she'll refuse to let you be with me."
Nodding a few times, Kurotsuchi looked at Naruto bashfully and leaned in to kiss him again. When they pulled apart this time, she asked, "Can...can you talk to her for me Naru-kun? I want to be with you. I need you in my life."
Naruto sighed and nodded his head slowly. "I will, though it would be best to talk with her together. Still, I understand your nervousness. So yes, I'll talk to her. Besides...I care for you too Kuro-chan. You are dear to me."
Smiling at this, Kurotsuchi hugged him tighter and just rested her head in the crook of his neck. "I hope she says yes. I really, really do."
"Let me guess. You've fallen in love with my Naruto too, haven't you?" Rose's voice could be heard asking.
Jumping, Kurotsuchi quickly stepped away from Naruto and bowed to Rose. "I-I'm sorry Rose-sama! I...I…" Sighing, the Golden Dragoon lowered her head and shuffled her feet. "Y-yes...I really want to be with Naru-kun. Will...will you please allow us to be together? I promise I won't try to hog his time! I just...I…"
"You really want to be with him. I know." Rose sighed and shook her head. "Why do you have to be so popular with women Naruto? If you want to be with Naruto as well...then...I suppose I can allow it. I'm not happy about it, but Naruto's too precious to me to deny his happiness. And if you make him happy...who am I to argue?"
Kurotsuchi cheered and glomped onto Rose, hugging her tight. "Thank you Rose-sama! You're the best!"
Sighing, Rose pried Kurotsuchi off of her before pointing her in the direction of her room. "Go and finish packing your supplies. I want to spend some time with Naruto before we leave."

Nodding, Naruto kissed her forehead and smiled at her. "I'll see you when I get back Sakura-chan. Your parents will not keep us apart. We belong together and I won't let anyone get in the way of our relationship."
Smiling at her boyfriend, Sakura hugged him tight for a while before stepping back next to Ino. "Bye Naruto-kun. Good luck!"
Smiling back at his two beautiful girlfriends, Naruto nodded his head before he and the other Dragoons left the village. It was time to hunt down Tsunade so she could become the new Hokage. Each of them hoped dearly that she'd be better suited to the job than Hiruzen was. If only they knew what kind of hell they'd be walking into soon...

As you can see, a hell of a lot happened in this chapter. Most of it bad, as you can see. lol. It was an intense chapter and I'm sure I'm bound to get some flames for it and even lose fans, but...well...I kinda just rolled with what I had and it turned out like so.
Anyways, not sure what else to say. Sooo...yay? lol
