First, I want to say a few things before we get to the chapter. One: HOLY SHIT THIS BLOW UP FAST! Harem Stealer already surpassed Gaming as the Monster even though Gaming has been out for almost half a year, and you all did it in one DAY! Thank you all for favoriting and following! Two: I had someone ask if Rizu Ogata goes to Kouh or is she in a different school, I'm using characters from human power level harem anime, just like We Never Learn, to full out Kouh to make the school a bit bigger as the only like six or seven named characters of the school that aren't part of the supernatural world. Plus I want to lewd them in the future. Three: I plan to expand on some characters as I did with Mittlet because outside the main cast not much is really known about them and I thought it would be fun.

Chapter 2: My first meeting with the devil.

{Koneko's P.O.V.}

It was supposed to be an easy day. Relax after finishing contracts and enjoy a nice bowl of Udon, head to my apartment, take a warm bath, and eat some sweets before going to bed. Then she saw a Fallen with a human. And that Fallen is among the group that killed Issei Hyoudou.

I feel my face twist in disgust as I remember him and his two, and only, friends. The Perverted Trio is an infamous group within Kuoh Academy, open about their lust for the female body, mainly their breasts, and coming to Kuoh, not for education but because the school turned Co-Ed once Rias, my master, entered it. They dreamed of making a harem full of girls, forgetting most of them are from very wealthy and powerful families, and how they will become the type of people to have unprotected sex with a girl and never call them back. They were lucky they haven't been expelled.

I wonder why they're so unpopular… She still needs to find out a way to get payback from the blad one. He was waving pictures of under skirt around the school. I was so tempted to punch him, without holding back.

But she did her job once she saw it. She reported to Rias and normally that would be it on her end. Rias and Sona would look up the student in their special folder of potential recruits and talk about who would get him. It shouldn't take long as only a few people are on that list and even fewer guys on it. Until they couldn't find him, there wasn't even a male student with glasses in it. At first, I question if he was from the school, but I remember seeing him. He was blended with the crowd of other male students but was certain I saw him a couple of times around campus.

So here I, Rias, Sona, my follow peerage members, and Sona's queen are at, in the student council room, looking through piles of papers to find the student I saw.

"Koneko, is this him?"

I turn toward the voice, seeing Rias holding up a picture of another male student.

Rias is wearing the Kuoh Academy female uniform. A white button-down shirt that has vertical lines running down it, a black ribbon, a black shoulder cape, and a button-down corset, that helps enhance Rias's large breasts to stand out more causing a ping of jealousy to run through me, and a magenta skirt that ends at the upper thigh. Rias also has long red hair with seafoam green eyes.

It was odd that Rias is wearing the uniform on a day with no school, but then again everyone in the room beside her was wearing their uniform. Making her white cat-eared hoodie and black skirt stand out.

"No Rias, Koneko said he has black hair. That student has blonde hair. Plus you already grabbed that one." the more serious voice said.

Sona was separating the papers into piles of who they went through and those they didn't it. Her violet eyes gave the papers a quick look over before setting them aside into one of the two piles. She rubs her eye under her glasses, showing how tired she is. I guess despite liking to do paperwork even she needs to rest.

"Can you at least put it in the pile of students we already gone through?" Sona says as she runs her hand through her black hair, which is done in a bob cut.

"I'm sorry, but all these boys look the same." Rias defend herself, rather poorly at that.

"Oh~? I wonder how all your male fans would feel if they hear that~?" a teasing voice said.

Akeno has long black hair, tied with an orange ribbon to make it into a ponytail, her violet eyes showing she enjoys messing with her king. Akeno also has the largest breasts size among them, but only by a small amount.

"Akeno, can you do this some other time? Besides you say the same thing!" Rias said.

"I think I might have found him." the last female in the room said.

Tsubaki also has long black hair like Akeno, but her's is loose with split bangs. She too has large breasts, though smaller than Rias's by only slightly. Her eyes are heterochromia, with the left eye being violet and her right being a light brown. To finish her outfit, she wears a pair of glasses just like Sona.

All of these big breasts get on my nerves at times, looking down at my smaller size. Sona also has the same look as I do, though she is more normal than me. But again, being a pureblood devil normally bless women to have great body types such as Rias so while being outclassed in the chest department by everyone but me, a girl who is a solid head shorter than her. Tsubaki was a human too before becoming Sona's queen and she is bigger than her to add insult to injury.

"Hey, I think he is in my homeroom now that I look at him. He is in the back, by the door if I'm remembering right." said the only male in the room.

Kiba is a handsome young man with blonde hair and gray eyes, with a mole under his left eye. He is wearing the male uniform without the jacket.

"Takahashi Ren, his records aren't anything to write home about. No Sacred Gear or bloodline, his mana pool isn't that high, and both his physical and academic records are average. Father is a software engineer and mother is an author, both on an overseas business trip for over a year since the school year started. Overall, Ren isn't someone worth either recruiting or assassinating. So why would one of the fallen go after them?" Sona questions, stroking her chin in thought.

"Could he be one of our contract clients? Several have been attacked by their exorcists for a while now." Kiba tries to reason.

"I thought that too, but he doesn't have any contracts with me and my peerage and I doubt with Rias or any of you all if we didn't even know who he is." Sona dismisses Kiba's theory easily.

"So what the plan of action then? I doubt the fallen would attack a normal human with no contract with us but… I could be wrong." Rias said, looking ashamed.

Rias was planning to recruit Issei into the peerage but not the way Rias imagine. One of the fallen, Raynare, goes on a date with Issei and for a while, it seems like the girl actually has feelings for the pervert. Until she revealed her true colors. Raynare has only gone on a date with Issei to play around with him before killing him, and while Rias did have her familiar give Issei a summoning contract, she never expected Issei would summon her on his deathbed. But there's nothing she could do outside of turning him into a devil.

"We'll have someone watch over his apartment, excusing them from school tomorrow." Sona answered Rias's question, to which Rias nods to an agreement.

"I have Kiba and Koneko stand guard over him." Rias said, basically killing my plans for the night. Horray…

"Good. However, I plan to meet this Takahashi tomorrow." Sona said, looking a bit more excited than earlier.

I just wanted to watch my show…

{Ren's P.O.V.}

Whoever said that school should start on a Monday needs to get their head examined because I'm still too tired for this shit. But then again it was probably me falling asleep as soon I reach my apartment, the reality of my life truly hitting me.

I had a date with someone that could have killed me and… enjoy it. But enough of that now, I know where I stand in this world and it's definitely not in the spotlight. I'm too much of a coward to join the supernatural, despite how hot the girls are, I'll rather be alive and take second-rate girls than fuck with DxD. Issei is fucking bullshit in power, surpassing the likes of Vali, Sirzechs, and Great Red with only a few years of training and the power of tits. Fucking boob power! Even if I want a DxD girl, there are plenty and way safer options.

That was if DxD was the only thing I have to worry about. The year is two-thousand-and-nine so maybe it was years before their shows start, but I doubt I'm that lucky. So I have two more series to worry about Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs are also dumb in the power scaling, mainly with Kogarashi Fuyuzora being the main example as he was able to beat some high-ranking spirit called the Black Dragon God, which is a stupid name, with one punch. While Genshiro isn't the strongest in that series, he should still be pretty up there. And on the lesser end of the spectrum was We Never Learn, which was pretty normal when compared to the other two shows. I'll take geniuses that trying to get a career with their weakest subject any day over the other two.

Fortunately, I was able to test some features of my system out before having to head to school. One thing, it seems very similar to Amazon. I can order items, be it games, clothes, food, and more and it appears in front of me in a cardboard box as soon I push the accept button. However, certain items are locked behind requirements. One was the list for magical items, such as tomes and alchemy ingredients. The other was… spicier in nature, sexual theme items are locked until I get laid according to the system. Another limitation was I can't buy living things like animals but I expected something like that.

But I buy some items to run some tests: A chicken sandwich, ice cream, a stopwatch, and a common plant. The sandwich and ice cream were to test if the temperature and freshness of an item would change or not. I throw the stopwatch in as it was running, making a physical note of the on it, to test if time either works differently or at all in the inventory. And the plant was to see if the inventory could hold more complex items, as a plant needs sunlight, water, plant food, and air to live and I plan to keep it in there for two weeks.

But saying my system is like Amazon reminds me of important detail. I'm back in two-thousand-and-nine with actual name brands, meaning before companies like Amazon and Apple's stocks really boomed. My memories are a literal goldmine. If I'm going to be in a death world with no real means to defend myself, might as well have a rich life. A private island with a cute girl feeding grapes, not having to worry about bills and rent, enjoying the finest the world could offer me. Within reason of course.

Now I'm thinking about how much bullshit this is. Why go to school, which literally has devils, and not quit and just play the stock market? Because it would raise questions. So random high schooler who quits school becomes rich in the stock market in a few years, without any higher education to help understand how the market runs? People would be questioning some things, that might not be noteworthy enough for the likes of Rias and Sona but I rather not take any chances.

So the plan is to go to school, keep my head down low, beg my parents for stocks for my birthday and Christmas, get a part-time job to get more stocks, graduate, get rich, and die. A pretty good plan all things considered.

As I reach closer to the school, more students gathered. Most of them are female, but that is to be expected with how Kuoh was once a female-only school. Though the was one different from the anime, guys started being accepted when Rias and Sona were first years. My guess was to widen the net for Gear holders and maybe make it easier for Kiba to enter.

As soon I enter the school's gate two things stood out. One was the several clear hearts floating around, the same one Mittelt has, but I can't tell who they're for and I'm not going to chase after them. The second was the sheer size of the school ground, the place is massive. It even has a water fountain, a fucking water fountain. I know Rias's dad owns the school but couldn't he be a bit more subtle? But again, rich humans can't be subtle with their wealth so why should I expect a devil too?

"Hey, buddy… Over here…"

I hear a whisper coming near me, around the stone wall. I turn towards the voice, within the shadows was a male student judging how he's wearing the uniform but with a brown trenchcoat and matching fedora hat.

…

I need to head to class before the bell rings.

"OI! I KNOW YOU SEE ME!"

No, I don't! I'm just having a normal day and I'm heading to class! Not going to talk with some weirdo! Especially when he's trying to look like the guy from a stranger danger sign!

"I'm not suspicious at all! I just want to talk!"

THAT'S WHAT SOME SUSPICIOUS WOULD SAY!

I feel someone grab my shoulder! I spin around, readying a punch! Sure, I'm just some normal guy but he seems like a normal human as well and a quick punch to the throat and a knee to the ball should take him down! As I was about to throw my fist at the detective wannabe, in my face was… a notebook. A notebook titled 'Kuoh Stars'.

What the fuck is going on here?

"Okay, now that you have my attention what do you want?" I ask, I just want to get this over with but at least I know this guy isn't part of the supernatural. Or at least I hope so.

"My friend, I am just a simple dealer." the coat man said.

"I don't want drugs." I bluntly told him, to which he gives me a look of shock before turning to anger.

"I'M NOT SELLING DRUGS ASSHOLE! I SELL RUMORS! I'M THE SCHOOL'S RUMOR DEALER!" the dealer told me.

Rumors?

"Okay man, sorry for calling you a drug dealer but you have to realize how you act and look really sells it." I said, explaining why I thought he was a drug dealer.

"... Fair point, but still a dick move. But let me properly introduce myself! I'm Kuoh's leading expert on the rumor mill of our academy! What to know if the girl you like has broken up with her boyfriend? I'll know! Is the new student a boy or girl? I'll know that too! Who is the most talked-about student among the school? You get the point!" The rumor dealer explains his job to me. "And my records are open to you my friend! All for a price."

"And why would I pay for them? People spread rumors all the time." I told the dealer.

"Because my friend, I know all of them. Besides, knowing the right information can help you land a girlfriend." the dealer, who I'm just going to refer to as RD at this point, said.

Did the system make a person like this? Someone to feed me information to aid my so-called 'conquest'?

"Why don't you use those rumors to get yourself a girlfriend then?" I counterargue. The game is really trying to push the idea of me getting involved with at least one of the series I'm stuck with.

"Because none of the girls here is my type. I'm gay." RD told me in a deadpan tone. Of course, you are. "But enough about me, considering I gave you quite the scare earlier. I'm giving you this, a notebook filled with the need-to-know people of Kuoh. If you want more, meet me here with a strawberry milk and melon bread, that would be your payment." RD told me, shoving the notebook into my hands, and running off.

"HEY! I don't… and he's gone." I said, damn that guy can run. I look down at the note, the Kuoh Stars one with it being volume one, I know I should probably toss this but knowledge is my only true weapon in this world. There's also the possibility of other shows. I hope not, but it is a very real and very scary possibility.

I will deal with this later, I have to get to class…

As I enter the school building, change my outside shoes for the indoor ones, and go up a flight of stairs to reach the second floor that holds the second-year students. I'm glad about one fact, my memories show that Issei isn't in class. However, Kiba is so it isn't ideal.

I enter the room, overhearing some girls crying about how their prince hasn't shown up today yet. I guess I don't have to worry about meeting a devil yet. I take my seat, in the back and near the door, and pull out a blank notebook, noting down which companies to invest in and any other important dates leading up to my old present day. Man, now I really wished I watch some sports but then again I doubt I could even bet on them until I was either eighteen or twenty-one. Plus being another country might hold some barriers.

I should check out if the school's library has any books relating to stocks and bonds when I could. Once I get out of here, I plan to fucking leave Kuoh. But the whole world is fucking dangerous, so I'll never truly be safe. As I was noting down another company, I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turn over to see a beautiful white-haired woman with blue eyes, the Kuoh female uniform helping show off her body's natural charms. I know her name, Momo Hanakai. She's part of the Kuoh Student Council… and Sona's bishop meaning that she's a devil.

And she too has the same clear heart above her head. I'm only on day two and I'm already sick of seeing the damn thing.

"Excuse me, Takahashi. The Student Council President would like a moment of your time, she even excuses you from this class and any other classes needed if the meeting lasts longer than expected." Momo told me. "I'll take you there."

I really don't want to, but I know I don't really have a choice. If I try making some kind of excuse then I would be more suspicious, and I don't want to know what they would do if they learn that not only do I have knowledge of them being devils but also future events. They might note the important stuff down before wiping my memory, something I definitely don't want. But it would be better than some group like the Old Satan Faction leaving about it. The idea of them learning important plot beats sends shivers down my spine.

As Momo leads me to the Student Council office, I steel myself for anything. Play dumb to anything and everything, but I can't but wonder why Sona wants to meet me. No doubt it was because Koneko told Rias, who most likely told Sona in turn. But I can't think of any reason to meet me. Maybe to keep an eye on me in case the fallen try something? I can't see Mittelt telling her fellow fallen about our date, fallen look down on the human race with only a few outliers such as Azazel, the fallen leader.

Maybe they think I might have something special? A Gear or some kind of rare magic? Doubtful again. The system would be considered rare but also useless. DxD runs on the idea of power is everything, Issei got a harem because of some dumb shit like devils being attracted to powerful beings and dragon aura. The system is anything but that, just some Dating Sim power with the world's fastest delivery service.

"We're here." Momo said, snapping me out of my thought.

Great… Now I'm literally standing outside of the lair of a devil. I can feel my heart racing and every part of me just wants to run. I know Sona is one of the better devils, but she is still a devil nevertheless. Added the fact Mittelt seems far different from her cannon self, meaning Sona could easily be way different herself. And I don't care if this makes me sound a bit racist but why the fuck would I trust a fucking DEVIL! For all that I know Rias and Sona are the weird ones of their race and someone like Diodora, a devil that rapes and mind breaks ex-nuns into mindless sex slaves, being the norm! Fuck the idea of devils being different from their ancestors, I rather not be in the same room as them!

Momo opens the door, leading me inside. The room itself is quite normal, albeit more high class with some of the furniture seemingly would cost more than three months rent for my family's apartment. A large table with several chairs, seven of them, an expensive wooden desk with a comfy chair in of itself, several filing cabinets, stacks of paper on both the large table and the desk, a small kitchen area off to the side of the room, and a small table with two chairs by the window. And sitting at one of those chairs is Sona, the heiress of the Sitri Clan.

I learn something about the supernatural just then, the women are fucking hot. Momo, while incredibly attractive, was born human, Mittelt is more cute than beautiful, but Sona is without a doubt one of the best-looking women I've ever seen. I can't even find something off about her look, not a scar, mole, freckle, or anything. If I didn't know she's a pureblood devil, I would call her an unnatural beauty.

"President Souna, I brought Takahashi just as you had requested." Momo said to Sona before heading towards the kitchen, looking like she's about to make tea. Souna?

Wait, I remember now! Sona doesn't go by her actual name in the human world! She's known as Souna Shitori to the students! If Momo didn't say that then I would fuck myself one just a sentence!

"Hello, Mr. Takahashi. While I'm certain that you know my name, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Souna Shitori, the Student Council President." Sona said, gesturing for me to take a seat.

Yeah, I know who you are. Probably better than even yourself. Sona, the once so-called rivel to Rias until Rias's peerage left them in the dust and all of her relevance fades after that. I also know about how you dream of making a Rating Game school for devils of all social standing could attend. And I know I can't expect her to overlook how I react. She's far better than Rias when it comes to dealing with people, as she gained all her members while in Kuoh outside her Queen while Rias was mainly given her's. And she probably takes the more tiring jobs, such as paperwork and cover-up stories to people that died from a Stray Devil.

I take my seat across from Sona, trying to keep myself from breaking out in a cold sweat. I can't be sure if even the smallest sign of my fear of her would get past her. "Yes Shitori, I know who you are but I have been wondering why you want to meet me. I haven't done anything to get myself in trouble have I?" I ask, faking an air of confusion.

"No, you aren't in any trouble. At least to my knowledge." Sona said, giving me a small glare to tell me not to cause any trouble. Period. "The reason I called you is quite simple, I wanted to ask you a few questions and play a game."

I doubt it's for something as simple as that.

"Excuse me, President, Takahashi, but I just finished making some tea." Momo said, making herself known in the room after forgetting about her. Sitting a cup of tea in front of me as she places another in front of Sona.

While I doubt they would drug it, I still don't want to drink it. My mind is racing with all the possibilities Momo could temper with the tea. Using magic to charm it, a magical drug, maybe just some common sleeping medication to simply knock me out and just go through my memories. As I look into the cup of tea, all I see is poison. But a poison that I will have to take, refusing it would seem too suspicious.

FUCKING DAMN IT!

Steeling myself, I take a quick sip of the tea, it was honestly quite good. It doesn't have any odd taste, but if it was tempted by magic I doubt I would even be able to tell.

"Momo, cause get us a shogi set, please. And thank you for the tea." Sona said, taking a sip from her cup.

"Shogi? Not chess?" I ask, not even thinking.

…

FUCK!

Sona gives me a look of surprise at my question. "Yes, shogi. Do you know how to play chess? Also, how did you know I prefer chess over shogi?" Sona asks, causing the panic inside to kick into overdrive.

I fucked up… luckily it wasn't big. "I just heard rumors of you and Gremory playing chess sometimes. I didn't know you play shogi or prefer chess over it." I explain, bullshitting the whole story. Kuoh is a high school so things like rumors are commonplace, especially when it involves two of the four most popular girls in school.

"Of course, there would be people talking about something as minor as that. At least it's better than most rumors…" Sona said with a heavy sigh, rubbing her temple to work out a headache that was just forming. "But it still surprising that you know how to play chess. Most students said they never played it, mainly due to it being a foreign game."

"I mainly know-how because of some videos online." I told her. Not sure about my life before becoming Ren, but I know a few things. Chess just happens to be one of them.

"In that case, let us play chess instead." Sona said, telling Momo to get the chess set instead of the shogi set.

We both enjoy our tea until Momo returns with a chessboard with a wooden box on top, probably where the pieces are stored.

"I'll take black if you don't mind." Sona said, already setting up her side of the board.

This might not be so bad…

Special Mission: A match with the Chessmaster Sona Sitri!

Sona is a master in this game, show her that you have some potential in the game yourself!

I was expecting you to pop up. I really was. At least there wasn't a failure punishment and even the system expects me to lose to her. And I won't complain, Sona is probably on the level of a chess master if not grandmaster. Me winning is next to impossible but to make things interesting? How can I do that? While I know how to play the game, it doesn't mean I'm any good.

I take a pawn and move it two squares, and Sona mirrors my move. After a series of moves and our cups now empty of tea, we started taking pieces. I use my knight to take Sona's pawn, but she soon takes my knight with her bishop.

"So Takahashi, do you mind me asking some questions as we play?" Sona asks as she uses her rook to take one of my bishops after it got her knight.

I rather we don't, however, I have no reason to reject her without giving her a proper reason. "Sure, what do you want to ask?" I said, probably having an idea where she's going. Damn it I made a bad move, which cost me my other and last knight.

"I was looking through students' records to see who hasn't joined a club yet and your name popped up. Mine me asking why you haven't joined a club yet?" Sona asks, with my rook taking her bishop.

Huh? That isn't so bad, probably trying to get a baseline to understand my reactions but I can easily make do with this.

CHOOSE YOUR FATE!

"I can't join the girls in the shower."

"None of the clubs really speak to me."

"I live alone so I have more important things to take care of."

"Most of the clubs only allow females, and the few that did will question why I'm joining after the Trio's actions."

Fuck you too game! And three options seem like solid picks to make things worse! Ren never bothered to look into what clubs Kuoh has and which allows male students, he was a loner after all. The closest thing Ren knows about Kuoh's clubs are the sports clubs, and that's mainly because the girl members always glare down any male because the Perverted Trio peeps on them all the time.

I should pick the third option, as it's the closest thing to what I was about to say. "I live alone so I have more important things to take care of. If I join a club, I won't be able to do any of my housework and I think doing laundry and cooking a decent meal will be better for me in the long run."

I should hate how the system takes over my body during those moments. Like I'm some kind of puppet.

"I suppose that's reasonable, not everyone has the option to join a club." Sona said, taking my rook. "My next question is, what do you plan after graduating Kuoh? College? Working a trade?"

Another personal question? Better keep my guard up in case-

CHOOSE YOUR FATE!

"I'm going to try my hand at the stock market."

"I plan to become a teacher."

"I want to make things, so maybe an author or artist."

"I haven't thought about it yet."

I picked the first one, no reason to lie and Sona probably could tell if I'm lying. "I'm going to try my hand at the stock market. I feel good about companies like Apple and Nvidia." I said, using a bishop to take a rook.

"Stocks? You know that's a risky trade, you could lose everything in a couple of hours." Sona comment, getting a pawn dangerously close to promoting. Damn, I now have to focus on that piece. I can't allow her to have two queens.

"Yes, but only if I put all my eggs in one place. I'll also invest in less profitable and safer options, such as gold, silver, and oil." I said, using my rook to stop the pawn but leaving it open for Sona to take it with her queen.

Now that I think about it, why am I not getting dice roll checks? I like that I'm not going any but it's weird that the dialog option is showing up but no dice check.

That's due to the level of skill and experience between you and Sona. Major Success, while aiding your game, will not result in you winning. Therefore, it was decided that no Stat Rolls will take place.

…

That's new. Is the system truly sentient? Or is it like the Wizard of Oz? Someone is behind a curtain, fucking toying with me for a laugh.

"You really shouldn't have made that move." Sona told me. What move? I look at my hand, holding the rook piece as I take her last rook. I wasn't paying attention but it looks good to me.

I saw her grab her bishop and make a long move towards… MY QUEEN! FUCK! I was too focused on the pawn to pay proper attention! Sona was baiting me to open up my queen!

I'm fucked now. While I have more pawns than her, none of them are near enough to promote. I have eight pawns, a rook, a bishop, and my king. Sona has seven pawns that are way closer to promoting than I would like, a bishop, a knight, and her king and queen. But I know this was heading here soon or later, we were trading an equal number of pieces but she was getting more than I was.

I knock my king over, signaling I surrender.

"That was a nice game." Sona told me. "I can tell you probably don't know any actual chess moves, but your instinctual way of playing made things a bit more interesting."

"Thanks for trying to cheer me up, but I know I wasn't that good." I state, chuckling to myself. "But I should probably head out, my next class is going to start soon."

I give Momo a quick thank you for the tea and make way for the door.

"Before you leave, I have one last question." Sona said, just as I place my hand on the door handle. "Where were you last night?"

Her question stops me in my tracks, my heart rate speeding up. Calm down Ren, just tell her what happened. Plus you know that she knows, as Koneko must have told her. Just tell her you've gone on a date with a girl. Tell her you have gone on a date with Mittelt.

"... I see. You might want to be careful at night, there have been some disappearances after all." Sona told, to which I give a simple acknowledgment.

I leave the room, fearing for my future. Why did I fuck myself over for Mittelt? Maybe I should save that for later, I really do need to head to my next class. Best be on my way.

Fuck! Did I walk into a wall or something?! My ass hurt from the fall, landing on my apartment keys! I also feel something on top of me and it… smells nice? {Momo's P.O.V.}

"So what did you find out?" I ask my king. All that Sona told me was to bring in a student named Ren Takahashi to the clubroom. Was he a potential peerage member? Sona does use her game sets to the level of magic the student has. I remember her doing the same thing with Ruruko before recruiting her.

"A few things actually. First, Ren's magic pool, while not the smallest, isn't that special. It's in the range you would see in a normal human. Second, I know for sure that doesn't have a Sacred Gear, as there normally would alter the magic within their host, though slightly. And thirdly, I researched his background and family tree and nothing stands out as odd." Sona told me, spinning her king piece in hand. "But those are things we already know."

"Then why meet him if you already know that?" I ask. Something I learn from joining Sona's peerage, Sona loves to show off her intelligence. But it really was shocking to learn how smart she is.

Sona has the highest marks in Kuoh's history and Sona wasn't even trying. The only reason she was still in high school instead of college was to hunt for potential peerage members, just like Rias Gremory. If I was as smart as her I doubt I wouldn't act the same, doesn't mean it's always fun to deal with.

"Because I wanted to see if I overlooked something, but what I learned wasn't what I was expecting. Ren was nervous, sure it could be because he was meeting with the student council president. But then I realize he was nervous of another thing, your tea." Sona said.

My tea?

"Yes, you're tea." Sona said. I hate it when she does that, I'm certain her family's power isn't water magic but mind reading. "Now why would he be hesitant with a cup of tea? Was it a bad cup of tea? No, I drink it myself. Could he just not like tea? Also no, he seemed to relax after taking a sip. Than why? That's the question." Sona explains, pushing her glasses up while looking at Ren's downed king.

"The second odd thing was what he said before leaving. He wasn't at the movie theater but was with a girl. But why lie? Kuoh, while against dating, doesn't forbid it. So again, why the lie? Ren is hiding something, and I plan to find out what it is." Sona said, smiling to herself.

Great… this side of her is coming out again. If Rias was a freak for anime, which I still can't believe to this day, then Sona is a freak for mysteries. I almost pity Ren for being the subject of Sona's detective interest.
