Krystal rushed through LightFoot Village, holding Fox and keeping his muzzle shut. When they reached an unpopulated section of the village, Krystal finally released Fox, who was still very upset. He shouted, "What did you do that for!? I had to give those idiots a piece of my mind!"

"Because I don't want any unnecessary violence between us and the LightFoot. And you were just inches away from picking a fight with them!"

"And why should I not!? Those dimwits have what goes beyond apathy! They don't care to any degree whatsoever if they'll all die without that Krazoa Spirit returned to Krazoa Palace!"

"That's because they isolate themselves from everyone else! They don't pay attention to the world around them, and just let matters of larger scales just pass them by!"

"That doesn't excuse them for not caring about a calamity that's going to kill all life on this planet! Including them!"

Krystal then slapped Fox, shouting, "Get a hold of yourself!"

The sheer force of the smack immediately snapped Fox out of his blind rage, but Fox was left stunned that Krystal would smack him so hard like that even if it was for a good reason. Krystal looked horrified that she ended up hurting the man she loved. She turned her head away in shame. "I'm sorry." She then turned back to Fox. "But you need to control your temper. I don't want to end up being seen by the other tribes as a threat to them. I understand that you're angry with the LightFoot for not taking the imminent destruction of this planet seriously, but we still need to pass their Test of Strength to gain access to that Krazoa Spirit."

"But I tried over and over again, and it didn't work! MuscleFoot is way too strong."

"He is strong, but that's not how he beat you."

"Wait, that's not how he beat me? What are you talking about?"

"I'll tell you later. Anyway, it's almost dark, and you're obviously stressed out. So, I think you should take a bath and then get some rest for tonight. We'll give it another try in the morning."

"But, how am I…"

But then Krystal sent Fox a message with her mental telepathy saying, Don't worry, Fox. I have a plan.

Fox relaxed for a moment. Krystal gave him a flirtatious smile saying, "Anyway, enjoy your bath. When you're done, we'll be staying at the third hut from the entrance of the village." She pointed at the treetop hut that she described. "That's where we were held in custody earlier today. Chief LightFoot said that we'll be able to stay there for the night." Krystal would have loved to ask Fox if she could bathe along with him, but thought that would creep him out, so she decided against it. Still, seeing Fox down to his skivvies greatly titillated her yesterday, and therefore she couldn't help but fantasize about seeing him completely naked. She went off to the hut that she specified. As she walked off, she telepathically communicated to Fox, MuscleFoot's trick is that he waited for you to use up a very large portion of your physical energy in pushing the statue, and then he started pushing on it himself because he knew that that's when you used up a good portion of your strength. So, I think we should try using the same tactic on him when we try the test tomorrow morning. I'll signal you when you should start pushing.

But Chief LightFoot said you're forbidden to help me.

True, but this way he won't know that I did. Anyway, I hope you know where to find me when you're done with your bath.

Well, thanks for reminding me. I'll catch up with you in a bit.

Okay. See you then.

Fox couldn't help but appreciate Krystal's advice. Certain that he was now completely alone, he then started taking off his clothing, and setting it aside. As soon as he was completely naked, he went into the lake and relaxed by the shore. He started to enter a somewhat meditative state, which he felt would do him some good after the stress and frustration he had been feeling during the LightFoot tests. To him, it felt like a good way of unwinding from all that tension that he has been feeling all day. He couldn't be more grateful to her for that. Then he started thinking about Krystal herself, and how she gleefully shows off her body without any shame whatsoever. Even when it seemed like Krystal was in a position where he could easily get a peek at her more… sensitive areas, she seemed to tolerate, if not outright welcome it. He felt aroused by that aspect of her character, how she gleefully allowed and even invited Fox to ogle her, and gained pleasure from it by moving his hand somewhere beneath the water's surface. Surges of physical pleasure and passion flowed strongly through him, then he felt that pleasure reaching a concentrated point, and then a feeling of pleasure bursting out from within. The satisfying pleasure made Fox feel very good. He breathed out a sigh of relief. It felt so good to him.

Later, as Fox arrived at the hut that Krystal specified, he then heard what sounded like Krystal moaning in pleasure. He took a quick peek inside and saw that squirming around beneath her blanket. He heard Krystal go from moans to gasps, and then finally to sighs, all with a strong sense of pleasure. He had a pretty good idea what Krystal was doing, and kind of thought it was cute. He then walked into the hut, put another blanket over himself, and slept in another part of the hut while Prince Tricky slept in the corner.

The next morning came. Fox now felt rested and ready. With his newfound rest and the advice he got from Krystal, he felt confident that he could take on the LightFoot Test of Strength. He walked up to Chief LightFoot at his throne.

Chief LightFoot smiled smugly at him. "Well, look who's back. Here to make a fool out of yourself again?"

"Not this time!" Fox did a fist-smashing-the-palm gesture, saying, "This time, you will be the ones eating crow!"

"You seem awfully confident for someone who has failed our test hundreds of times yesterday! You seem to be quite the glutton for punishment!"

Fox smugly crossed his arms and said, "Is that so?"

"Well, then, we'll begin the test!"

Fox, MuscleFoot, and the LightFoot chief walked up to the large statue from earlier. Krystal said to Fox, "Go get 'em, tiger!" and winked, and then telepathically communicated to him, I'll tell you when.

Fox then went up to the left hand of the statue in front of the small pit while MuscleFoot went up to the right. Fox, unlike his several previous attempts at the Test of Strength, he didn't immediately start pushing on the statue. This raised some suspicion in MuscleFoot, who also hesitated to push. MuscleFoot leered at Fox in suspicion, but then Fox just gave him a smug grin. Infuriated, MuscleFoot then started pushing at the statue with all his might, and that started pushing Fox closer and closer to the pit. Krystal telepathically sent Fox a message shouting, Now! And then Fox slapped his hand on that of the statue hard, and just when he was a few inches away from being knocked into the pit, he started pushing the statue with all his might, struggling, but mustering all the strength he could, slowly pushing himself forward, and pushing MuscleFoot back. MuscleFoot tried to push the statue back in his direction, but to no avail. No amount of strength he could summon was enough. He kept getting pushed back and back until finally…

MuscleFoot fell into the small pit, knocked flat on his back. Krystal smiled in joy and the other LightFoot, especially Chief LightFoot had their jaws drop in disbelief. How could someone who failed their test time and time again yesterday possibly knock it out of the park today? They were all stunned. But then, the lesser LightFoot started cheering. Chief LightFoot groaned but then put on a friendly facade as he walked up to Fox saying, "Well done, Fox. You have beaten our strongest LightFoot."

Fox then bowed and gave a somewhat smug smile. Chief LightFoot continued, "Now, as promised, I shall take you two to the Krazoa Chamber. Chief LightFoot led the vulpine duo to the center plateau in the village, and opened a round circular door that led to a room within the summit. Fox and Krystal then walked through the door and into the cavern.

Fox and Krystal entered the room which was a ring-like balcony with a ladder that led to the ground floor. Krystal climbed down the ladder with Fox following after, and there was a totem pole in the center of the room, and a small tunnel leading to another room. They went through the tunnel and found a warp pad, and walked up to it and were whisked away.

Fox and Krystal reappeared at the entrance to yet another Krazoa Shrine. Knowing what they had to do, they proceeded to the next room, and found an alcove leading them to where they needed to go. Fox activated a Rocket Boost to get to the alcove with Krystal following behind him.

Then they proceeded through the hallway to another room with a large switch near the entrance, a closed gate on the other side, and some openings in the walls and floor shooting out flames. The vulpine duo stood on the switch, opening the gate, then dashed on to the gate on the other side, nimbly dodging each flame that shot out at them as they went. They sped on through the gate just before it closed. They made it in time.

Upon reaching the next room, they found yet another long hall with a switch right in front of them, and then a large pool of water between the switch and the entrance to the next room. Upon taking a closer look, they noticed what appeared to be very sharp stalagmites popping out of the water's surface, then took a quick look at the water below. There were spikes on the floor at the bottom of the pool. Fox took a quick swim across, taking a good look at the floor as he went. As he observed the floor, he discovered a path among the spikes that could lead to the other side with little to no harm. Then, at the other side of the pool, he found yet another locked gate. He swam back to the switch and said to Krystal, "Okay, Krystal. I'm gonna press that switch and after that, I'll need you to follow my lead." Krystal nodded and Fox got on the switch. The water started to drain, and Fox slid down the ladder to the pit below, with Krystal following him shortly thereafter. Fox then gestured to Krystal to follow him, and they dashed along the clear pathway and climbed up the ladder on the other side. The dashed through the gate before it could close. Then they walked up a rampway to another room and then, there they found it. The third Krazoa Spirit.

Fox and Krystal walked up to the third Krazoa Spirit. The spirit spoke to them. "Welcome, last princess of Cerinia."

Krystal stepped forward. "I am ready for the test, your majesty."

Fox stepped forward as well. "As am I."

The spirit then said, "No, hero of the Lylat wars. The last princess of Cerinia must take the Test of Fear on her own." The spirit then lifted Fox in the air and moved him close to the entrance to the room, then put a magic barrier around Krystal in the center of the room.

Krystal already felt nervous at what she just heard. "Test of… Fear?'

"Indeed, last princess of Cerinia. You must stand and face your deepest fears. And you, child, have confronted so much horror and tragedy in your life. But you know that this planet will perish if you don't pass my test and return me to Krazoa Palace. Do you wish to participate in this test?"

Krystal thought about it for a moment. She worried that the things she would see during the Test of Fear could cause mental scars in her, but didn't want to let Sauria perish like Cerinia before it. She was extremely hesitant, but a voice echoed in her mind; the voice of the dying EarthWalker back in Krazoa palace, saying, Often the greatest obstacle to accomplishing a great feat is overcoming doubt in one's own ability to succeed. You must believe that success is possible, otherwise you are doomed to failure before you even begin. Then another voice did too. Fox's voice, saying, Merely a fraction of everything you've been through would have broken pretty much anyone else in an instant. But you kept going. You let nothing break you. The amount of willpower you have is unfathomable. Then, she held her head high and said, "I'm ready."

"Very well. We shall begin." A white flash appeared and Krystal looked around.

All of a sudden, she was back on the surface of Cerinia. She remembered it, so well. It was the night of Cerinia's destruction and the slaughter of her people. She then saw her father, a cobalt furred dog named in blue robes and a hood Randorn leading a defense against the Venoman armies as they charged in to invade. The Venom troops started opening fire on Randorn as he and his warriors started activating their magical barriers. Dread filled in Krystal's heart, now that she was outright witnessing her people being slaughtered. She felt that any attempt at saving them wouldn't make a difference since this was just an illusion, but she decided to try it anyway. In her rage, she drew her staff and charged at the Venom soldiers hoping to defeat them and save her people. She jumped into the air at the Venom soldiers and shrieked her blood-curdling battle cry and swung at one of the Venom soldiers. But, much to her horror, her staff passed through the Venom soldier without hurting him. "What!?" She tried striking the Venom soldiers with her staff, but to no avail. Then, she heard the sound of a click, and when Krystal turned, she found that it was the lead Venom soldier activating the grenade launcher on his rife, and he fired it into the crowd of Crimson Sun warriors, and the explosion set the Crimson Sun warriors into disarray, blowing off one of Randorn's legs and slaughtering a few of his men. Krystal shrieked, "Father!" She rushed over to Randorn and tried to help him. "Father! Can you hear me?" But her hands went right through Randorn's body. No matter what she could do, all the characters in this scenario were like holograms, and she couldn't truly interact with them. The Venom soldiers fired their rifles at Krystal's tribesmen, slaughtering each and every one of them like cattle. Krystal gasped in horror as her fellow warriors dropped like flies and there was nothing she could do about it. The lead Venom soldier grabbed Randorn by the face, took out his pistol, held it to his forehead and shot him. Tears formed in Krystal's eyes as her father's lifeless body collapsed on the ground. She could feel herself seething at the Venomian soldiers. She wanted nothing more than to slaughter them.

Then, her vision flashed to when her brother, Sabre, got her on the shuttle leading her off the planet's surface before it crumbled. She saw her brother and a duplicate of herself rush to the shuttle, and her brother tripping and falling. She heard the other her shout her brother's name. "Sabre!"

Sabre wearily got up. "Go on without me!"

"I won't! I won't leave you to die!"

"Just do it!" Sabre tossed his staff to Krystal. He shouted, "I'll hold these scum off! You just take my staff and go!"

Krystal caught it and cried in protest, "But you'll die!"

"Don't argue with me! Just go!"

"But..!"

"GO!"

As the illusion of Krystal boarded the shuttle and it started to rise from the ground, the real Krystal watched in horror as more Venom troops started charging at Sabre. Sabre tried to fight as many of them with his bare hands, but in a matter of seconds, the soldiers ganged up on Sabre and started beating him within an inch of his life. Again, Krystal charged at them and attempted to strike at them with her staff, but her attacks passed through their bodies without causing them any harm. She started crying as she reluctantly began to accept that nothing she could do to hurt the Venomian soldiers that she despised would work as they are merely illusions, showing her the past. As soon as the soldiers stopped beating Sabre, their commander grabbed him by the face, lifted him up, and said, "Oh, don't worry. You won't die with the rest of you people. After all, barbarian, we have a use for you." Then the Krazoa Spirit showed Krystal the Venom commander shoving Sabre onto one of their ships, along with a few other members of the Crimson Sun tribe. Half of them were men with the other half being women. And one of those women was Sabre's own wife. She looked somewhat similar to Krystal but with longer hair and magenta fur rather than Krystal's cobalt blue, and wore a white dress that showed very little of her skin. She wore a necklace with a sapphire as a pendant.

"Elysia? Elysia!" Then the illusion flashed to seeing Sabre and Elysia strapped to experimentation tables inside what Krystal intuitively recognized as a Venomian base. They both had the exact same telepathy-blocking implant in their foreheads that Sabre ripped out of his forehead when she and Fox discovered and rescued him. She then briefly saw them and some of the other Cerinian survivors, all with the same implant in their foreheads, being cruelly experimented on in an attempt to find out how they obtained their power. Krystal burst into tears as she witnessed the cruel things being done to their bodies like trying to probe their brains, blood, bones, and innards for traces of Krazoa energy to see how they could try to extract it. Krystal tightened her fists. She could never forgive the Venomians for a single horrible thing that they did. But then, in an instant, Krystal found herself with her body strapped to yet another one of those experimental tables just like the ones that her people were strapped to. She saw the machinery the Venomians used preparing to operate on her. Seeing it, she couldn't help but panic.

From the other side of the barrier, Fox couldn't see the illusions Krystal was seeing, but he could see Krystal's positions and postures. When he saw Krystal in a position that seemed somewhat fetish-like to him with her arms and legs spread out. Fox gained quite a bit of sexual arousal from it. He could feel a sensation in his lower regions. But then, he curled his hand up into a fist and drove it right between his legs, causing a major spike in physical pain, which led to him cringing in agony as he curled himself up. After all, seeing Krystal's position made him think that she was about to be raped and he didn't want to find that even remotely arousing.

Of course, the illusion wasn't of Krystal being raped. Instead, it was of her being experimented upon just like some of her fellow tribesmen and women were, including her brother. It was just like the most recent iteration of the very nightmare she had been having ever since she escaped from Cerinia's destruction. She held her breath as the needle slowly drew closer and closer to her eye, bracing herself and struggling not to scream. She felt unfathomable amounts of dread and terror as the needle kept on approaching her at an ominous rate. Then, almost in an instant, the needle started going through the pupil of her eye. Krystal felt surges of immense pain. But she held her breath and struggled to resist the urge to scream in agony. The needle kept twisting around in her eye, scanning for any traces of her Krazoa power. Then the needle exited her eye and yet, her eyesight remained un-tampered with. She was fine. But then, a laser device started approaching her forearm and started shooting a hot laser that slowly moved from her shoulder to her elbow. The heat put Krystal in immense pain, and again, she struggled not to scream. She then felt one needle penetrating her bone and another in her muscular tissue between her bone and her flesh. She gritted her teeth and struggled to endure it. Then, all of a sudden, she felt yet another needle penetrate the scalp of her head, and drill all the way through her skull. She struggled even harder not to scream in pain. She felt the sharp technological needles digging her way through her flesh, bones, and organs. She kept clenching her teeth. Hard. She felt that screaming in pain would mean that she failed the Test of Fear and would have to try again. She couldn't afford that. She continued to endure.

Then in an instant, all the experimental equipment disappeared and Krystal was no longer strapped to the experimental table. Her intense physical pain immediately disappeared. She looked around at her arm. The mutilation performed on it was completely undone. It was completely healed up. She looked around. She was in Krazoa Palace again, in the very room she was in before she was attacked by the mysterious phantasm that destroyed her homeworld. She even saw the beam she barely escaped from being shoved into. Then she saw Elysia dragged into the room being grabbed by the arms by two Venomian soldiers, one with each arm. She was constantly begging them to release her. "No! Stop!" Elysia cried.

"Sorry, honey bun, but we have a use for you!" As soon as the Venomian soldiers approached the beam, they put Elysia right in front of it. "Our master needs a Krazoa Priestess for his goal."

"His goal?..."

The second Venomian soldier said, "There's no need for you to know what it is!"

Then the first one replied, "Your husband's sister was a Krazoa priestess too. Our master initially planned on using her for his goal, but thanks to you, that won't be necessary!" He kicked Elysia into the beam from the Krazoa statue. Krystal watched helplessly as Elysia was shot through the ray of Krazoa energy and when she turned around, she saw her fly into the crystal in the center of the room below the roof of Krazoa Palace.

Then immediately, Krystal found herself in what appeared to be a nightmarish realm with blood red skies and a red mist everywhere, with what seemed like evil ghosts flying around everywhere. She looked around, absolutely terrified. But then she heard a woman's voice. Elysia's voice. "Help me… Please help me… I'm dying…"

Krystal turned and found Elysia. She ran up to her, shouting her name. When she was finally near her, she helped her up. "Elysia! Can you hear me!?"

Elysia was shocked and relieved to see Krystal there. "Krystal? Krystal is that you?"

"Yes, Elysia. It's me." But then, Krystal took a look at the ground beneath Elysia and saw tentacles from the ground sticking into Elysia, looking like they were leeching off of her. "Elysia, what is happening!?"

"I'm dying, Krystal. My life energy is being drained. I need Krazoa Spirits or I will not survive… Help me." Elysia's body started to wither. She started to look a bit more emaciated.

"I will rescue you, Elysia! I won't let you die!"

"Thank you, Krystal." But then, yet another tentacle shot out from the sky and wrapped around Elysia's neck. Elysia started choking. "Stop… Please don't hurt me," she pleaded as she was struggling to do so much as breath. Krystal turned around. She saw that the Tentacle was out of the mouth of what appeared to be the giant floating head of the Krazoa Spirit from earlier. Her eyes widened in fear. The Krazoa were supposed to be a benevolent force, providing life for every world in the universe. How could a Krazoa Spirit do such a cruel and malevolent deed such as draining the life of such an innocent and pure young woman.

Then all of a sudden, Krystal found herself floating out in space. She saw her homeworld of Cerenia before her eyes. She saw the planet crumble away before her eyes just like it did when she fled Cerenia. And then she saw her evil nemesis. The evil phantasm. The same distorted, indistinguishable face gloating over the crumbled remains of her homeworld. Krystal felt her heart pounding rapidly. Sweat was pouring all over her body. She was looking directly into the face of the evil spirit that rose from her homeworld's core as it collapsed, hearing its evil laughter. Then she heard the ghost say to her in a low, demonic, and guttural voice, "You will die! Just like every man! Woman! And child! ON YOUR PRECIOUS PLANET! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Krystal drew her staff. She felt herself bursting with rage. "YOU are the one who will die! You will pay for destroying my homeworld and slaughtering my people!"

But the phantasm continued to laugh evilly and then disappeared. Then she found herself in a cyan room. Then, behind her, she heard a voice that sounded exactly like her own, only it spoke in a very sinister tone. "You failed me again!?"

Fox was watching from the other side of the barrier and he heard Krystal's voice talk in such a menacing, villainous way as well, but saw Krystal's lips remain still, with a facial expression that didn't match the quote itself. He figured out that now the Krazoa spirit is having Krystal confront her worst fear of all: her powers being used for evil. And the worst way for that to happen was for her to embrace wickedness.

Back in Krystal's illusion, she saw her diabolical doppelganger grabbing one of her fellow tribesmen by the throat. Krystal recognized him. "Tokara?"

The evil illusion Krystal threw Tokara on the ground and pressed her heel against her face. "I expected better from you." She stepped off his face, then her eyes glowed cyan. Tokara's head started to hurt. He clutched it in pain. He screamed in pain.

Krystal shouted, "Stop it! You're hurting him!" She drew her staff and charged at her evil twin, but her attempt to strike her resulted in the evil Krystal disappearing. Krystal heard Tokara scream in absolute pain, then looked at him and saw his head explode. She gasped in terror.

She looked around to another part of the room. She saw her evil counterpart freeze a few children solid and then smash their bodies into thousands of pieces. Then the clone telekinetically raised a few more children many, many, many feet into the air, then broke her binding, causing the kids to fall to their deaths.

Then she heard Evil Krystal say, "My, my, aren't you absolutely lucious." She then turned around and saw her evil twin lecherously caress the leg of another one of her tribesmen.

Krystal recognized him too. "Korak?" Krystal remembered how she and Korak enjoyed and relished in having sex with each other back in the day. But seeing him be forced into it terrified her to no end.

Evil Krystal started licking Korak's neck. Korak was begging. "No, your majesty. Don't!"

Evil Krystal just laughed. "Now, now. You wouldn't want to back out on me, now, would you!?" She prepared to lift up Korak's loincloth.

Fox watched Krystal gasp with tears flowing from her eyes as she was seeing the horrid rape that the evil version of her was committing. Fox heard a man's cries in pain and constant shouting of "No!" and "Stop it!" and "I'm begging you!" along with the evil version of Krystal constantly go back and forth between moaning in sexual pleasure and laughing maniacally. He kept watching Krystal's face as tears kept flowing from her eyes, then she shrieked in rage, "DON'T YOU DARE HURT HIM!" Then she drew her staff and tried to attack her evil shadow. Once again it was in vain as she disappeared.

Then, the walls around Krystal turned from blue to red. She ended up in a village and saw her evil counterpart massacre everyone in it. Brave warriors rose to confront Evil Krystal, but she viciously, mercilessly, and sadistically slaughtered them one by one. She was slaughtering every warrior that tried to stop her, burned down all the houses, killing everyone in them, then started raping the few remaining men, crippled men on the ground. The real Krystal couldn't take it anymore. She started activating her powers and her eyes glowed cyan. The evil fake Krystal felt her head about to explode. Her pain welled up inside of her. Then her head exploded and her brains splattered everywhere. Then the walls of the room turned blue again. Then Krystal's evil clone appeared before her.

Evil Krystal then said to Krystal, "Very good. Now, unleash your hatred. Be the woman you were always afraid of becoming!"

"Shut up! I'll never be anything like you!"

"Struggle to deny it all you wish. You know you have wanted to embrace darkness for quite some time. You know you have felt the temptation so many times. Remember Kaijira?"

"Yes. I remember."

"Don't you wish you had embraced the darkness back then? Don't you wish Kaijira deserved what you would have given him?"

"Sometimes. But then I think about what kind of a path I would have taken if I actually did that. And you just showed it to me! I won't accept your way of doing things! I will NEVER become you!"

Evil Krystal then swung her staff at Krystal, but Krystal blocked the attack with her staff and evaded the attack and counterattacked. Evil Krystal evaded her attack and made another strike at her. Krystal then blocked the attack again, and their staffs were interlocked. Krystal's dark doppelganger then said to her, "You could only fend off your temptation for so long. But even you have a breaking point. A point where you become so desperate, you throw your morals out the window for the sake of victory. Even survival." The interlocking of their staffs broke when Krystal dodged her evil self's attacks and charged at her again, but Evil Krystal dodged the attack and struck Krystal in the stomach, then kicked her in the face. Krystal was knocked back by her malevolent counterpart. As Krystal got back up again, her dark doppelganger continued, "You can only be alone for so long before you reach your breaking point. It is inevitable."

Krystal drew her staff saying, "No. It is not inevitable. Because I am not alone anymore!" The blue jewel in Krystal's staff started glowing intensely.

Evil Krystal charged at her shouting, "YOU WILL SUBMIT!" She rushed forward and swung at Krystal, but Krystal dodged her diabolic double's attack and then drove the tail end of her staff into her back. Krystal's evil counterpart started having a crack in her back, and bolts of light started streaking out of her body as she screamed in pain, as Krystal kept driving her staff into her. Her evil version shrieked in pain as her body vaporized and a blinding light appeared before Krystal. She closed her eyes as the light engulfed her.

All of a sudden Krystal found herself back in the Krazoa Shrine. She was no longer being shown one horrific vision after another. She was almost unsure of herself if she actually passed the test. The barrier blocking Fox disappeared.

Krystal saw the Krazoa emerge from a shimmering field set high into the wall at the end of the shrine. "You have passed," it said to her. "I am yours." Without warning, it shot into her body, lifting her up off the floor slightly in the process. Krystal once again floated gently back to the floor. She felt a thrill of victory course through her, then the room suddenly seemed to dissolve. The area in her and Fox's vision rippled and twisted nauseatingly, then they found themselves standing on the pad in LightFoot Village. Her eyes had that blue glow once again.

Krystal was wonderfully shocked at what had happened. "I… I did it. I never thought I'd do it but I did!"

Fox tightly embraced Krystal. "You were amazing, Krystal! You had your doubts but you prevailed in the end! You're so cool!"

Fox loosened his embrace of Krystal, who then cupped her hands around Fox's cheeks. "I owe it all to you, Fox. I believe I wouldn't have lasted a second in this test without the morale you provided me with. I cannot thank you enough." The two foxes then kissed each other so passionately, this very moment felt like heaven to them. It was a wonderful feeling. Fox and Krystal felt as if as long as they are there for each other, they can conquer any kind of evil. Krystal felt unfathomable joy after getting another Krazoa spirit and being one step closer to saving both her friend Elysia, and the planet of Sauria as a whole.

Author's Notes: I of course based the events of the LightFoot Test of Strength on my own personal experience with it when I was playing the game myself. I passed the Tracking Test with little to no problems, but kept failing at the Test of Strength over and over again. The way Fox finally beats the Test of Strength is based on a strategy for the test that I heard online. As for the Krazoa Test of Fear, in the original game, it was just a bunch of ShadowHunters, some flames shooting out of the pillars, and a giant General Scales. Pretty generic stuff, right? So, I changed it so that Krystal takes the Test of Fear, and every fear she faces in that test is based on the fears she has already been characterized to have, ranging from the slaughtering of her people, to the evil phantasm that destroyed her homeworld, (you know who it is) to her powers being used for evil, and I portrayed that fear as the worst way for that to happen, which is if Krystal herself broke her spirit and turned to the dark side. The Test of Fear also serves as a form of exposition that shows instead of telling, as it answers some questions about the experiments run on the Crimson Sun tribesmen that they decided to capture instead of kill, as well as what happened with Elysia.
