Hinata
"So, newbie, what up with your eyes?" One of the few female bandits asked Hinata, who usually kept to herself.
"It's a family trait, my parents had these eyes." Hinata told her, Earthland was filled with people and creatures that had unique traits and Hinata's white eyes were not all that strange. The bandit accepted it as Hinata sighed in relief. 'I'm no good with dealing with people. And I can't just tell everyone here that I can also use magic, then they would have me do all the dirty work for them.' Hinata then thought about the people she helped the bandits rob, luckily no one was killed by her actions or rather, inaction.
"Okay you thugs!" A loud voice forced the bandits to stop whatever activity they were doing and made them pay attention. The source of the voice was a youthful woman wearing a brown trench coat, shorts, sandals and a fishnet shirt. Her purple hair was tied up to a ponytail and she had brown vicious eyes.
"Miss Anko!" The leader of the bandits was nervous because Anko was the one really in charge and he recalled the time where he saw her beat down one of his bandits for making an off-handed comment.
"What was the haul today?" Anko demanded from the bandit group, with the group revealing the large pile of goods, with only a small number of jewels. "Not many jewels in here, but plenty of other stuff." She then stared at the stolen goods, stretching out her arm and summoning a magic circle. Snakes came out of the circle, slithering around the goods before returning to the circle. "These crates are mine, but you can keep the rest. I need some of you to take these crates for me."
"Uhhh….Sure thing boss!" The leader or rather second-in-command, ordered a couple of the bandits to help Anko with her crates, with Anko looking around to see more bandits than usual until she spotted Hinata.
'Those eyes! What is a Hyuuga doing here?' Anko put this thought aside and focused on ordering her bandits. "Okay then you maggots! You people better get your butts moving soon!" Anko walked away with a few of her goons.
"Who was she?" Hinata spoke out loud and was answered by the female bandit from before.
"Her name is Anko Mitarashi. She joined this group a few weeks ago and took over. She's someone you don't want to piss off, trust me when I tell you this." The bandit shivered in fear. "According to the rumours, she was a part of Fiore's military forces but was discharged for going overboard in torturing prisoners."
'She summoned snakes from that magic circle, meaning she also uses magic.' Hinata then thought about leaving the group and decided to leave when no one would be looking. However, unbeknownst to Hinata, Anko's thought drifted back to her.
(Back with Naruto and Wendy)
"Okay, so this is the town where she was spotted a few days ago according to our employer. We should find the people who were transporting the cargo or at least the people they worked for." Carla told the others and lead them to their current destination, a building with a carriage logo. They entered the building and saw men loading up carriages with cargo.
"This scent." Wendy exclaimed out loud as she and Naruto could smell something strange. Wendy's voice alerted the men, who all turned their attention to Wendy, most possessing perverted grins. Wendy looked uncomfortable at gaining their attention.
"Hey pretty lady, how about you leave this wimp and come with me? I'll treat you real good." The largest of person in the room told her.
"I-I'm sorry, but I'm not interested." Wendy told him, but that only made him angry at being rejected. He grabbed her arm, only for Wendy to grab his wrist and then lift him above her head, throwing him against some of the other workers. "I told you I'm not interested!" Wendy then realised what she did and just bowed. "I'm sorry!"
"Whoa! Nice move!" Naruto told her and gave her a thumbs up, much to her embarrassment. "And don't apologise, that guy was a creep." He looked at the workers with a glare. "You guys better get back to work and stop staring at my friend." They became scared of Naruto as his glare pierced through their souls and forced them to go back to work.
'Wendy can handle small fries like them by herself, but this boy is not as bad as I originally thought.' Carla agreed with Naruto that the men were creeps and knew Wendy can handle people like them.
'This girl, she has potential and her strength. She also mentioned a scent, Naruto also noticed it, that means she has enhanced senses just like him. And her teeth, she has sharper canines just like those idiots too and they aren't like other humans who have animal characteristics too. Is she a Dragon Slayer too?'
"One more thing, where can we find your boss?" Naruto's question was more of a demand and they all pointed towards another door. "Let's go." He told the others and stayed close to Wendy. "You noticed the smell too, but we'll check that out later after we have a little chat with their boss." Naruto whispered to her, with Wendy replying with a small nod.
"Yes, we'll discuss this later, but I'm surprised I could smell something so vile in a place like this." She whispered back to him before they made their way towards the boss. Naruto simply opened the door to see an overweight small old man, who demanded to know why they came in without knocking and was surprised to see two kids, a fox and a cat.
"If you want a job, then sorry, we're not hiring." The old man went back to his paperwork, only for Naruto to fake cough to gain his attention. "Look, I don't have time for you ki…Gah!" The old man was picked up by the colour of his suit. "L-Look kid! I'm Gato, a man you do not want to mess with! My men will rough you up if you do anything hasty and…." He was shut up as Naruto just glared at him, frightening him.
"Listen up you old geezer. We just wanted to ask you questions, they'll take a few minutes tops. And your men aren't even worth using my magic for if they're anything like the ones outside." Naruto's slip of him using magic made Gato immediately think of another thought. Wendy and Carla were a little unnerved by Naruto being a little aggressive towards Gato.
"Are you a wizard here for the job I posted? That job's been taken already." Naruto dropped Gato back to his chair, but he fell with the chair and hurt himself, holding his head in pain. "Agghhhhh!"
"What job are you talking about?" Naruto was confused. "You're not after Hinata, are you?"
"W-Who is Hinata? Aren't you here for the bandit extermination job I posted a while back?" Gato's words made Naruto even more confused until he realised that Gato knew nothing about Hinata.
"Hinata is the daughter of our client, Hiashi Hyuuga." This made Gato's eyes widen. "And who took the job? What guild?"
'Hiashi Hyuuga's brat is a part of the bandit group! If I had known I would've had the wizard I hired bring her back alive! Come to think of it, one of the boys mentioned a girl with weird eyes. Well, it's not like I'll lose out on anything if she's killed.' Gato then flinched as Naruto broke his table.
"I would answer his question, my friend here has a temper." Kurama spoke and shocked Gato, the old man finally taking in the fox's appearance.
"A-A nine-tailed demon fox!" Gato had shockingly soiled himself, making everyone else in the room cover their noses for a second.
"How rude! Anyway, tell us the name of the guild and the wizard who took this job or else I will throw you against the wall." Kurama threatened him. Kurama's threat frightened Wendy a little, but she remained silent for now, as did her feline companion.
"P-Phantom Lord! The wizard was from a guild called Phantom Lord." Gato stammered out quickly. Now Kurama looked at Naruto, finding this situation troublesome.
"It just had to be those guys. You still haven't told us the wizard's name." Naruto glared at him, making the old man speak up.
"S-Sasuke Uchiha!" When Gato mentioned the name, Naruto's angry face was replaced by one confusion before he shook with excitement and had a smirk on his face.
"You hired that jerk, that's perfect!" He confused everyone except Kurama in the room. Wendy had to tap his shoulder to get him to remember why they were there in the first place. "Oh, right. Sorry, got distracted."
"We are currently on a job to find Miss Hinata, so it's vital that we know where the recent attack took place. From the information was provided by our employer, these bandits attacked your carriages multiple times and knew your delivery routes." Wendy spoke and showed great professionalism.
"And I'd make it quick, we're on a schedule." Naruto told him and promised pain if he didn't comply. Gato gave them a map which highlighted the routes and also told them that there was an attack yesterday, with Sasuke arriving earlier to accept the job he mentioned earlier. "Thanks, we'll be off now." Before they left, Naruto said one last thing. "We'll be back, we've gotta talk about something." They all left with Gato sighing in relief but then looked down, remembering that he soiled himself.
'Now I need to clean myself up…..I need those bandits gone or else I'll lose my profits and risk the council finding out.' Gato had ulterior motives and had a devious thought. 'I'm paying a million jewels for this job, that Uchiha kid better get it done and before anybody finds out what I'm really doing.'
(With Naruto's group)
"Did you smell what was in that building? Why was something so vile there?" Wendy asked Naruto, who shrugged.
"We'll come back and figure it out after finding Hinata." Naruto replied and put his current thoughts aside and focused on their main goal.
"You're right." Wendy changed the topic and was curious to Naruto's reaction from earlier. "By the way, what happened back there? I mean your reaction to when he mentioned Sasuke Uchiha, it was strange."
"Oh, he and I knew each other since we were kids because we used to fight all the time. Well, we still do. We had about 100 matches and how many did I win Kurama?" Naruto turned away from the surprised females and looked at his fox companion.
"It's actually 99 matches and he has 50 wins, while you have 49. Considering the several advantages he has over you, you're doing better than I expected." Kurama revealed Naruto's win-loss record against Sasuke.
"That's amazing! I've read about Sasuke Uchiha in a magazine and heard he was a talented wizard, but you actually beat him 49 times! You must be super strong!" The praise Wendy gave him made Naruto scratch his cheek in embarrassment.
"Regardless, will he become a problem for us if we carry on with this job?" Carla was getting annoyed at the two youths and Wendy could tell that she was.
"Even if he does, I can handle him." 'But Hinata's safety comes first and then we'll deal with those guys.' Naruto looked back at Gato's business for a brief moment and glared at the building one last time before turning back and conversing with Wendy.
"So, how did you meet Sasuke? And how did your fights with him start?" Wendy asked the blonde, who recalled the first day he met the Uchiha.
"Well, we met as children and we instantly didn't get along and started to fight right away. Of course I was really hot-headed then and he beat me a couple of time before I caught up with him. I think he won 5 fights before I manged to finally to win one." Naruto replied to her with some annoyance until he became more excited. "I just need 2 more wins and I'll be in the lead this time."
"Actually, he beat you roughly 10 times before you caught up. Still impressive considering he was personally trained by a Wizard Saint." Kurama corrected Naruto and revealed one of the reasons why Sasuke always one-upped Naruto in the past.
"He was? Oh right, his master is a Wizard Saint just like Gramps!" Naruto recalled Makarov telling him this after an incident with Phantom Lord years ago.
"Naruto, your grandfather is a Wizard Saint!?" Wendy was surprised and brought her face closer to Naruto, both taking a few seconds to realise how closes their faces were to each other and then separated. Wendy apologised but Naruto waved it off, though he was still a little flustered.
'This is funny.' Kurama enjoyed seeing partner flustered but he also knew that Naruto never felt this way about a girl. 'Well, he never got over her death.' Kurama's mind flashed the image a young white-haired girl that looked remarkably like Mirajane.
"He's not my real Gramps, he's the Guild Master of Fairy Tail but I call him Gramps because he basically calls everyone in the guild his brats. His way of calling us his kids." The blonde tried to clear up the misconception.
"I see, that just means that you have a close bond with your Master." Wendy smiled at him. "And that means you'll do anything for each other, you'll protect each other no matter what."
"Yeah, like I told you, we're one big, sometimes dysfunctional, happy family." Naruto then turned to his fox companion. "So, that creep Jose is a Wizard Saint too?"
"Well, Jose is, but Sasuke wasn't trained by him. He was trained by the current Wizard Saint, Kakashi Hatake." This shocked the two females while Naruto wasn't impressed because he had no idea who Kakashi was. "You have no idea who that is, do you?"
"Not really." Naruto used his little pinkie to clean his ear whilst yawning. "I mean I would love to meet him because he's definitely got to be a strong guy if he's been named a Wizard Saint but I don't know enough about him to be impressed. Is there a reason I should be?"
"You're kidding, right? Kakashi Hatake himself was considered prodigy and fought against many legendary wizards in the past. In fact, many people call him 'Devil-Eye' Kakashi, does that not ring any bells?" Carla asked the blonde, who just shrugged.
"I did my research, and it turns out he taught Sasuke his signature magic." Kurama told the blonde, who's eyes widened at this statement.
"That's awesome! I've got to meet this guy and fight him!" Naruto was pumped up, but his shoulder was tapped by Wendy.
"We still need to complete this quest and help Hinata." She brought their attention back to their current task.
"You're right. First we get Hinata back, then we deal with Gato and then we find Kakashi so I can fight him. It'll be dawn by the time we get there, so we'll finish this quest in one fell swoop." Naruto was acting like Natsu, which Kurama noted.
'Should've known. Naruto and Natsu are like two peas in a pod at times, this is too troublesome.' Kurama and the others made their way towards the last location the bandits were discovered in, hoping to find some clues and find Hinata.
(With the bandit group, a few hours later)
"Everyone, you better eat up! Tomorrow we have a big haul!" Anko told them as she chugged a large mug of ale. 'Hits the spot! Hopefully, I get tomorrow I find what I need.'
"Boss!" A bandit arrived, out of breath and grasped a sheet of paper.
"What is it!? Can't you see I'm busy!" Anko ordered more ale for herself and then sighed. "Well, what is it?" She demanded from him.
"T-That G-Gato guy! He put out a hit on us!" He showed her the flyer for the job Gato put out. Anko took the flyer and her eyes narrowed.
'1 Million jewels for exterminating bandits! That asshole cares about his operations this much that he would offer this amount for a simple bandit operation. I better be careful in case I run into a troublesome wizard.' Anko took her second mug and drank it one go, wiping her face with her sleeve. She looked around and didn't see Hinata anywhere with everyone partying and then told the bandit who brought her the flyer to lighten up as she left the hideout. 'Where is she? She shouldn't have gotten far!' Anko summoned her snakes, this time they slithered out of her sleeve and tried to track Hinata.
(With Hinata)
'I've escaped! I need out of these clothes since they will attract too much attention.' Hinata was now out of the forest and on a clear road. 'This is one of the roads where the carriages make their route to their trading locations. That means the town will be a few miles away!' Hinata screamed after a lightning bolt hit the ground in front of her. "KYAH!" Hinata fell on her back and crawl back slightly.

"Hn." Hinata heard a voice and looked around the area until she slowly looked behind her. There stood a man that was roughly the same age as Naruto, he had dark eyes, black spiky hair from the back with bangs on the front. He wore black pants with sandals, a zippered, short-sleeved and long coloured white shirt with black wrist warmers. He also had a chokuto blade inside its sheath and was placed on his right side.
"Y-You're Sasuke Uchiha!" Hinata exclaimed as she read a magazine which detailed Sasuke being interviewed, though not much was given apart from the fact that he was a prodigy and a powerful young wizard. Sasuke remained silent and walked toward Hinata, with said girl becoming fearful as his stoic visage frightened her.
"I never thought bandit would appear before me this quickly." Sasuke's voice was cold and callous. "If you take me to your little group, I will make this quick and painless." Sasuke's left hand channelled blue electricity.
'A-Am I going to die here?' Hinata closed her eyes and prepared for the worst.
"You accepted your fate. Then I'll end this instantly and then I'll find your group on my own." Sasuke was now in front of her and ready to kill her, bring his left close to her face.

Sasuke was stopped and kicked by a familiar figure, none other than Naruto.
"I thought I smelled something foul in the air. Hey there asshole, long time no see." Naruto smirked and cracked his knuckles. "Sorry, but I can't let you touch Hinata here. Besides, wouldn't you fight me than attack someone who's defenceless?"
"Naruto, didn't expect you here." Sasuke got and rubbed his nose before revealing his own smirk. "You really want to get beat down again loser? I'll be happy to show you your place!" Sasuke took out his blade and pointed it at Naruto.
Hope you all enjoyed it and I apologise for the long wait. Now that this is my only story, it will easier to update but that's not saying much considering I'm working a lot more and run a lot of errands every time I'm close to finishing a chapter. For those that stuck with this story, thank you very much. Please leave a review because more reviews will motivate me to write quicker.
I had trouble with the dialogue this chapter near the end, but I think I managed to pull it off. Right now, Wendy and Naruto have no idea that they're both Dragon Slayers, but they will eventually discover their magics and why they have enhanced senses.
Also, I left a poll a while back. I want to know out of four previous stories, which NarutoxFairy Tail story was your favourite, just for fun and curiosity.
Please note that this is still a NarutoXWendy story and will remain so until it ends. For Kingdom Hearts fans, Naruto's catchphrase will be Got/Get it memorized, Axel's catchphrase, though it was upsetting to hear about Quinton Flynn, Axel is still one of my favourite characters even if someone else voices him in the future, I cannot see Quinton Flynn the same way as before because of his actions. I thought I should share this and it is not my intention to argue with anyone who feels differently, I simply wish to let readers know that I will still implement themes from Kingdom Hearts as well as some dialogue from the franchise but I can no longer support Quinton Flynn.
This chapter is a tribute to those who lost their lives recently and originally for Chadwick Boseman, who was a legend in this life. I remember rewatching and enjoying Black Panther just before his passing, then later I found out he died. Rise in Power King, you will be missed. And sadly, we lost another star. For many, Kirby Morrow was the Goku we grew up watching, including myself as the UK showed the Ocean Dub of Dragon Ball Z whilst I was still in High School, may he also Rise in Power.
I have also announced that Yuki Ono's voice is no longer the one I envision as a Fairy Tail version of Naruto, I would for you the readers to decide between two choices, Miyu Irino or Kenn. Miyu Irino is best known as young Minato's Seiyu as well as Sora's from Kingdom Hearts.
