~Henry's POV~
It was another evening of boredom as I sat in my grandparents' loft. I stared out the window at the dusk sky, watching as the moon slowly made its way over the horizon. The sky was full of pinks and blues, with some gold from the setting sun.
It was truly breathtaking.
"Alright, kid, time for bed," My birth mom, Emma Swan, said as I turned away from the window. Her blond hair shimmered and brought me to a place I didn't know about. It looked like the Enchanted Forest, but with different palaces and kingdoms than the ones I've read about in my storybook.
I had to blink to make it stop.
Wow. I hadn't had that vision in a while. Not since the curse was broken back when I was 10. Being 17 now and still getting this image of a place I've only read about was growing with concern. Though, I didn't think much about it.
But then...a girl appeared.
A girl with the same hair color as my birth mom, but with blue eyes that sparkled like the stars. I have to admit, she was beautiful.
However, I knew something was up if she kept appearing. Something bad. Yes, the curses were broken and we could find our happily ever afters...but now I needed one.
And maybe this girl had the answers.
"Henry, you okay?" My birth mom asked, taking a few steps toward me as I shook away the thoughts in my head. I gave her a grin.
"I'm fine," I said, standing up from the bay window. "Just tired. I'll see you in the morning." I gave her a quick hug before heading up to my room. Tonight would be another dream where I met her. Maybe there is where I could learn some things about this girl of the moon.
Her smile shined as bright as the moon and her eyes sparkled as she ran down the dirt path, away from the pond and its glowing light.
"My Prince! There you are!" She said, her voice full of light and maturity. "Come on! Let's go! Let's leave this land and start over!"
"You know we can't, love," A male voice spoke, making me mentally jump in surprise. That almost sounded like mine. But I've never called someone 'love' before.
"We have kingdoms to run and people to rule," The male voice said. "We can't leave."
She sighed, looking at me again with a small grin. "Does that mean we can't be together?"
"Of course, we can!" He said. "When the moon stops rising will be the day I stop loving you."
"And the moment the earth is no more is when I will move on," She said. "But you have to find me."
"What?" Now it sounded more like me.
"Find me, my Prince," She repeated as the world around her started to melt and twist out of existence. "And wake me up."
I woke up to the birds outside and the scent of pancakes wafting up to my bed. A grin formed on my lips as I got out of bed and went to the railing. Down below was my birth mom, making breakfast for the day.
However, the thought of breakfast didn't appeal to me right now. The girl in my dreams, I had finally noticed the crescent moon mark on her forehead.
Who was she? And why was she appearing to me like an angel in the night?
I was going to find out, and hopefully, the library had a book about the Moon.
