~Henry's POV~
After finding out her name, Dr. Wylde suggested we let her sleep for a bit before speaking to her. So, my birth mom and I sat in the waiting room.
I grew nervous and scared, thinking if Sera was okay. I know I just met her, but it felt like I've always known her. Like she was the missing piece to the puzzle that was my life.
Yes, there was Violet, but after she moved to where her father was originally from, we lost touch and I didn't feel any different.
With Sera...it's a whole new world.
I took a few deep breaths before pulling the book back out and opening it to the page I left off on.
'She spoke with kindness and honor, and even offered her name to gain trust. Princess Serafina of the Moon Kingdom. The young prince turned to her and marveled at her beauty. Her gorgeous eyes and smile, her flawless skin. Prince Harold couldn't keep his eyes off her.'
'She offered help against the neighboring kingdom by offering him some of her magic. He refused the offer at first, saying that magic always came with price. But Princess Serafina grinned and handed him her moonstone ring, saying that the power of the moon is free for all to use. The only price it has is giving you your happily ever after.'
'Prince Harold gently took the ring and stared at the princess before him. He finally had a chance to look at her closely, making him see the moon mark on her forehead.'
Oh, my; gosh! This was going to help! This was going to be my ticket to finding out why I was getting these dreams and visions! This was...!
"Alright, Henry, let's go," My birth mom said, making me look at her as she was putting her gloves back on.
"Go?" I asked. "Don't you-"
"I already tried. She wouldn't talk."
"Can I try?" I asked, getting a look in return. "I witnessed the same argument and I tried to help. Maybe she'll talk to me." She seemed to be hesitant to letting me do this, but eventually she sighed and gestured to Sera's room.
I took a breath as I marked my spot and headed inside. I walked through the door and there she was, just as perfect as I remembered her from this afternoon. But the thing that caught me of guard was her hair. It wasn't golden like Bea's, but a pastel blond that shimmered like the moon.
The same blond hair as the girl from my dreams and visions.
I took another deep breath as I knocked, getting her attention from the window. She grinned as she sat up some.
"It's you. The boy from earlier," She said. "Did your Sheriff mother send you in here?"
"No, I came in on my own," I said, walking over and sitting beside her bed. I just now noticed her left arm in a sling and a bandage on her left shoulder.
"What happened?" I asked leaning back in my seat.
"Bea happened," She said. "She was still upset with what I did and tried to kill me. She's a bad seed."
"I see," I said. "What did you do?" She looked at me, worried like this was some big secret she was keeping.
But I just grinned , showing her that it was okay to tell me. So she took a breath and spoke.
"I donated some old books we didn't read anymore," She said. "Hook picked them up."
"Wait...those were your books?" I asked.
"Yea...why?"
"I was there when Hook showed with the box," I grinned and she smiled. I even took out the book Belle gave me to show it off. "Belle even let me keep this one."
"Oh, that sucks," Sera said. "Because that's the book Bea wants back."
"Oh," I thought about it for a moment, thinking of a good excuse to keep the book. I was getting into the story so far and I didn't feel like stopping so soon into the tale. That's when I got an idea.
"I'll tell you what," I began, "I'll give this book back to you and your sister, if you let me borrow it for awhile longer. I started reading it and I've been hooked." She giggled.
"So has Bea I guess," She said. "But I'm sure if I tell her that a friend is borrowing it, she'll be fine with that." I smiled. "But why do I have a feeling that this isn't the only thing asked for?"
"Because it's not," I returned. "You also need to tell me what happened to have you end up in the hospital. All we want to do is protect you."
She sighed, combing her right hand through her pale blond locks. I saw her torment in her eyes. Her fear crept out of them in the form of unshed tears. Gentle shakes of her shoulders made me realize...Bea scared her.
"She snuck up behind me," Sera began, "I didn't see it coming until it was almost too late. I was lucky she didn't stab my heart."
"And that my grandfather was there to help," I added in, making her look at me. "I heard that part out in the waiting room." She nodded.
"He saved my life and-" She stopped and looked at me again. "Wait...Prince Charming is your grandfather?" I nodded. "Wow. That technically makes you a Prince then, huh?"
I thought about that and she was right. My birth mom, Emma, was the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, meaning she was a Princess. And my adopted mom, Regina, was the Evil Queen. So, with both sides, I was a Prince no matter what.
"Wow, I never thought of that," I said with a grin, getting one in return, before I felt a tight pierce in my mind.
I winced in pain as I grabbed my head, while images of the Enchanted Forest entered my brain. I was seeing that princess from my new story and a war. I could see the bloodshed and the last thing I saw was the princess using some of her power to do something when I came back to my senses.
"Oh, my; God! Are you okay?!" Sera yelled, making me look at her with wonder. Her eyes held concern and her face was contorted in worry.
Her face...why does it look so familiar now?
"Yeah, I'm fine," I said. "Just a headache." She nodded, not seeming to buy it, but didn't question the excuse either.
"Say, if you feel unsafe in your home with your twin sister, you're always welcomed to come stay with us," I said, making her look at me with surprise. "I know, we just met, but I don't like anyone to feel unsafe in their own home. I'm sure my grandparents won't mind."
She sighed, thinking this over before deciding to nod. And her eyes were relieved, continuously saying thank you to me. I just smiled.
"Then it's settled," I said. "When Dr. Wylde releases you, you can come to our place."
"Thank you," She finally said, making me nod my welcome.
"No problem, Sera," I said.
"Say, you know my name, but I don't really know yours. All I know is your both the Savior's and Evil Queen's son."
"You've been under a rock it seems," She giggled. "It's Henry. My name is Henry."
